Minecraft Mod Review: Advanced Thaumaturgy (Thaumcraft addon)

Isn’t a lot of items or machines added however with just a 6 or 7 it’s still very useful and it very much complements vanilla thaumcraft now the mod maker obviously has plans to add a lot more items you feature sweet to the forum posts and just look at his ideas you’ll

Be amazed by what he has planned and if you have any ideas as well you should definitely share it with him because he has used people’s ideas into the mod before and even though it’s still very early on in its development I thought it was absolutely brilliant so I had to

Share it with you guys so yeah let me get started with this first we have the node modifier now the recipes and all the different information about all these different items can be found you know already implemented inside of the Samba nomicon and the node modifier is here and basically with the known

Modifier you can change the various aspects or the kind of node it is or whatever you want with there no modifier and you can you know you can see the recipe here and shape that you have to build the pedestals into to activate the machine and if I right click on the

Machine you can see the GUI I can change the kind of node it is I can make it bright pure hungry sinister tainted I can even add aspects on to it and I can even increase the strength of the aspects so I have to set up here and I’m

Going to be taking a random node this one I didn’t add that note that was already there and I’m gonna case it in glass and then I’m going to put it inside of the machine now another thing that this mod adds it’s more of a function than an item is

The ability to hit the slap to activate the process with normal phone craft you’d have to hit the glass but with this you can just do this boom and now I can just take this and now I go over here put it atop there’s no modifier

Like that and you can see I have 15 15 15 I right-click I can move the fading if I add the lux I think that is let’s see all I need is Orem and the kind of essence so I have that let me see there you go I’m going to be taking the

Air essence and some Orem so let me just put that there 1 2 3 4 and let me put that the water jar 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 well let’s fall nonetheless and right click and start and there you go you can see the process activating and it’s

Slowly being drained and eventually the air aspect should be added inside of the node ok here we go 1 and now the the the items are being pulled in this is sort of like the infusion crafting and yet different first one was absorbed second owners absorbed

The third one I was absorbed and finally there you go and you can see that the air aspect was added inside of the note as well so I can just pick up the note put it down walking with my one and there you go I

Can see it the ear aspect inside of the note so like I said very handy and there was only one of the functions I just added an aspect I could even as you saw over there I could have made it I still have this jar so let me put that back

And I could even remove the fading which is always annoying there’s always a small chance that will lower the strength of D note and with this machine you can actually remove the fading which makes it stronger again so yeah very handy the Nord modifier and next we have

The thermic fertiliser if I open up my thumb a nomicon here we can see that the atomic fertilizer can use the Aqua essentia to fertilize and to water an 8×8 area you can also water saplings or just normal crops so I have this up here

And if I just take home some seeds we can see that’s how completely watered if I have this we should see it being watered as well alright for this there you go and we can see that the essentia is going around and fertilizing the crops or watering the tilled land like

So and if I do this here like that we can see the extent of its reach there you go out for a lifestyle as well I mean water sorry my bad and I’m like using bone meal this is completely random meaning you can’t chew which crops gets the bonemeal effect

Fertilized so we can see it will randomly growing so if we just watch for a minute or two we can see that random crop should quickly jump to the next stage there you go there you go and so on and the fertilizer slowly uses up the essentia completely used up to

Century it’s 43 now I had some in this jar you start up there you go 62 and eventually it will use up all that essentia watering and fertilizing all these plants so yeah it’s not my fertilizer also very handy and next we have the item that actually made me want

To make the video and my favorite item in this whole mod the essential engine the essential engine basically uses up essentia therefore kind of a sensor it can use to produce mj’s which is Bill craft power so now the amount of power produced depends on the kind of

Essential you use if you use Ignace it produces one coal worth of power with arbor it produces half a coal worth of power with herba 1/4 coal worth the power and with Saxon point one coal worth of power now how much is one call

One call is 1800 mj’s so as we can see the engine currently has the Ignace a hundred and this pipe we can see from the little while a box over there it’s a zero out of 1,500 1,500 NJ’s if I flip this switch it will slowly use up the

Ignace and produce power there you go it’s going up and it’s completely used up well it’s not completely used up but it’s produced 1500 MJ’s turn off the engine and it goes down and so on so like I said very useful if you have for example a lot of herba I myself usually

A couple of jars of her about leftover and with this machine you can produce free power and complementing the engine or in fact any of the other machines is the ethereal jar now unlike a normal jar which I think can hold 100 the ethereal jar can hold 256 essentia as you can see

I have 74 now and I can fill it up all the way to 256 well 250 now cuz I can’t go any higher because this has a Ignace and I can’t voice to Ignis so it’s only 250 now but as you can see very handy because you can put in more essentia

Inside of the jar and next we have another very handy item the flux ventilator now if you’ve ever you know been working to create something and you accidentally create these flux goos you should note that you can’t actually get rid of it by placing blocks on top of it

Let me just get this glass and there you go I can’t place glass on it so I can’t get rid of it and usually this would be impossible or you know at least very difficult to get rid of that’s where siding comes in for example now if I have to go somewhere around

Machine first of all it turns it from goo into the gaseous form and then it even has a 10% chance of getting vidiian from the flux goo there you go who turns into a gas which had a chance of being absorbed like that there you go

Now it doesn’t have to be very close to it it can work its magic from quite far away as well there you go it’s slowly turning into goo I mean gas slowly or definitely doing the work and when it’s low enough I can just put blocks on it

As we can see it’s actually gotten some fit in as well I don’t mind a zero I’m assuming that little bug and if I wanted I could actually take that up using some of these vials files so yeah the flux ventilator the mod also adds a new wand

The mercury or crystal wand and to make that you need to make yourself a mercurial rod which requires another star and you can guess from the high cost of Essenza and another star that all of these items in this mod is supposed to be endgame and you can see the material on there

And mercurial one has a very big advantage over the other ones that is whoops come back here it can hold 500 V and of course the 15% discount which is always good the mod also adds this a creative note the creative note has 100 of each kind of V

As you can see and it never depletes and if I sure here you can see that it’s creative only like I said meaning you will not encounter this in survival and this would be useful if you have say a multiplayer server and you wanted to create like a public one recharge place

You can definitely use this and for that reason it’s super handy the mod also adds the permutation she respect to the egg and the X animus aspect to the bone you can see there at this skull and it was a circle thing now the mod author

Has a lot of plans for this mod for example I saw talk of him adding things that he called pummels basically they would be the opposite of wan caps one cap Co add on the top of the one pommels you add on the bottom and basically they

Would do things like increase the amount of V going into the wand or doubling the amount of V going to the one as in like 50% for free or you know recharge 15% just naturally to any wand things like that and the best part about it is he will take suggestions of anything

Thaumcraft related you have so you have to definitely check it out if you have good ideas because he might implement them so yeah that is everything in advance thaumaturgy and like I said an absolutely brilliant mod and I can actually see this mod becoming one of
