Minecraft Mod Showcase | Wizard’s Staff Mod

Oh my god okay so i don’t need wings when i drink much red bull i could just fly on my own i could be my own helicopter this is incredible oh oh god What’s up everybody i am luke from the master sword valley with another minecraft mod showcase and today i am doing the wizard staff mod so as you guys can probably tell i’m a big fan of like wizarding magic kind of things so i found this mod and i immediately

Had to do it because it just looks so freaking cool so this mod basically adds in a wizard staff and some actual wizard like robes and such like garments and uh yeah you can cast basically a bunch of wizard spells just using things like you would find in a normal minecraft world

So first i’m going to show you the one crafting recipe and then we’re going to test out and show you each individual item that gives you special abilities so uh yeah let’s let’s get this started so the one and only craftsmanship in this mod is the wizard staff and to make this

You’re going to need four cobblestone and two sticks and you get the wizard staff right here so as you see i have the withered staff in my hand right now and it looks really cool like i love the 3d model that it has just looks looks really really cool and when like

You actually have something in there it actually is a cool animation of you using the sap it’s pretty cool all right so once you actually have the staff you actually need an item to put in there in order to actually be able to use the staff and these are basically all the

Items that you can use in this mod now some of them are actually from like recent updates for the 1.16 but others are just like durable generic energy you get like for example an egg or a gold ingredient or for some reason a fishing rod anyway so i’m going to show through each

And every one of them one by one and show you what they do but before we actually do that one thing i do want to mention is that you see you notice there’s leather iron and gold armor right here well that’s actually because if you take

The armor and you put it in the staff you can actually turn it into wizard armor right here which as you can see it reduces the spell cost by 10 and i’ll explain more this in a second but you basically make wizard garb using the leather armor

You can make warlock garb using the iron armor and you can make druid garb using the gold armor so yeah armors garbs so as you can see i went ahead and put the druid armor on and all of it just looks really really cool like this is what the jewelers looks i

Have a skull on my head it looks like i pretty much belong in like the forest or something it looks really cool and i like the boots on it as well and this right here is the wizard set looks really cool i look straight from harry potter even though uh anyone from

Harry potter doesn’t exactly use staffs they use magic wands but still looks really cool and then this is the warlock set as it looks also really cool looks like chainmail mixed with the leather armor looks pretty cool actually anyway i’m just gonna go and stick with the wizard stuff because that one

Is my favorite all right i went ahead and grabbed all the items out of the chest now i’m gonna show you what they do now in order actually to be able to use an item and like cast spells and whatnot spells smells To cast a spell you’re going to need to shift right click and you basically put the item into this spot right here where the staff is and it will appear right on the staff right there so the first one we have right here is the clock now i actually need to go

Outside for this because what this does is it will change the change the in game time as you can see the sun is starting to set and it’s becoming night time a lot quicker once i release it time goes back to normal i just went ahead and switch it back to daytime

And i just went ahead and switched my game modes right here to show you guys that uh certain items will need your experience itself in order to be able to work so i’m just going to hold right click and watch my experience bar as you notice it’s going down but it’s

Actually going down a little bit slower since i have this uh wizards garb on right here so yeah some of it will require your experience others uh if you don’t have experience it will take actually your hearts instead which is uh kind of dangerous if you’re like really

Low on hearts but uh yeah that doubt right there is the clock changes time all righty so i’m just heading back into the lab right here and i’m just going to go ahead and spot myself a test subject right here and i’m going to show you guys the

Jukebox now the jukebox is actually really neat in that if a mob is like approaching you you can run you can you can you can right click it and it will act oh god ah well it’s meant to stun them but it just didn’t do it there let me go get

Another one but yeah that’s basically what it does it will stun mobs for you so that if you’re trying to run away you can so you can just halt them and then slowly get away so i believe we need to yeah right right there and it’s taking my experience rather

Fast as you can see so as you see it stops them in place and yes that way you can basically just kind of kind of run away from them like this oh god oh god uh okay let’s move on to the next item now the next one we have right here is the

Egg as you can see i went ahead and equipped and equipped it right there this sort of acts like pokemon you basically just come on ah it’s it’s not working they keep blowing us too fast but basically what it does is that you will capture the mob

In an egg so you can basically respawn them again it’s it’s like they’re pretty cool so see if i can do it this time without them like trying to explode on me uh once again let’s see so we’re going to just and there we go as you can see it

Captured them right into a spawn egg and i can just go ahead and just spawn on right there and yeah ah don’t worry i’m destroying the lab uh let’s move on to the next one all right i just went ahead and switched it to night and i’m outside right here the

Next one we have right here is the carved pumpkin i already equipped it and what this does is that it will create what it says a cloud of horror around a mob and start like killing them i feel like it’s meant to be like some like poison or like wither

Effect or something like that i’m just waiting for mobs to spawn so i can actually be able to use it um hello mobs does anybody else want to be a test subject i just don’t want to use it on a creeper because i don’t want them blowing up my lab once again

Uh hello anybody anybody hello would you like to be a test subject oh we found one all right so you when you when you’re ready when you right click it will cast up this which will cause them to slowly start dying of uh whatever damage it is and it

Seems like it sort of also acts like a shield whenever you’re trying to cast up the spell let’s just do it again come on come on dude just just die as you can see creates that cloud and we’ll make them slowly start dying of what feels like wither or uh poison or something

So uh yeah that’s the card pumpkin right there it’s kind of spooky all right so it’s also nighttime i’m gonna go and show this one off as well this one is the blaze powder now i’m sure you guys could probably guess what this does that’s associated

With fire correct this one will give you a flame thrower but uh it’s a kind of a short range flamethrower i’m just a i heard a skeleton walking around so i was gonna use him as a test subject where’d it go whatever but as you can see it

It is a flamethrower right there and we’ll it looks like this one else will slowly consume your xp unlike almost like everything else uh in this mod hey creeper over there it’s a it’s a short-range flamethrower that will god oh come on really they will light your

Enemies on fire right there but uh seems to not be working for me i don’t understand why but uh yeah let’s blaze powder right there now the next one is the elytra now i’m sure you can guess this one does it makes you fly i think this one is probably my favorite

Just because i love being able to fly and it doesn’t even consume your experience that much but as you can see you basically just twirl the staff like you’re a freaking helicopter it’s so cool it’s it’s a really cool animation i i absolutely love it like so much right

There as you can see and uh what it looks like doesn’t even take fall damage when you’re like trying to land so pretty cool if i do say so myself that’s that was pretty neat that was probably my favorite but uh yeah that’s the electra now these

Last two were items that i couldn’t actually figure out how to use first up is the gold ingot which on the forums it says uh king midas on it but even in uh both creative and survival i could not figure out what it actually does so uh if you guys could do

Tell me in the comments how to actually use it that’d be awesome and then the book and quill on the forums it says that it will get divine insight which i have no idea what’s what it’s actually talking about uh it seems to have written something so is there something that all those

Moments will be lost in time like tears oh okay i actually did not know that right there so wait can i can i do it again will it give me more insight okay i did not realize that this would actually be writing inside the book and quill

What we’ve got here is failure to communicate i mean who are we trying to talk to though but uh yeah that’s the uh book and quill and like i said i can’t figure out the gold ingot so if you can like me in the comments that’d be awesome

All right now the next set of items is related to the another update for this mod that’s solely for 1.16.4 or 1.16 according to the uh forums here now the first item we have right here is the wither skull now uh i’m sure you can guess what this

One does it lets you shoot projectiles which will basically let you be your own kind of wither basically which will just annihilate anything it hits so let’s go and just spawn in like a tighter areas here so let’s go one two three four five and look at that

Four four skulls and it’s dead yeah this one is pretty cool and the next one we have right here is the gas tier now it says that it will actually give you uh fire immunity so let’s give you a quick like fire resistance um let me actually head to the nether and test

This out okay so i’ve made it in the nether and it says that the on the forums here it says that the gas tier gives you fire immunity now honestly i have like no idea what it’s talking about i don’t know if it means like jumping into this like

Lava down here but i guess we’re just gonna hold this and jump oh yeah oh so oh so it does give it gives just like fire resistance apparently i see okay that makes that makes more sense though but uh yeah that’s the uh that’s guest here right there

All right the next thing we have right here is the nether brick now the nether brick will act when you use it will actually turn you in the direction of the closest nether fortress so as you see it just turned me in this direction and if we go

This this direction at some point we will come across the nether fortress which is this is a really really good one because nether fortresses seem much harder to come across here in the new update uh than they were before with all the with all the new nether stuff that’s been added

They seem a lot harder to find so this is a very very good addition in the game as you can see this is the closest nether fortress right here so it’s awesome now the next one right here is the netherrack which it claims that it will turn lava into netherrack oh

Okay so yeah as you can see it’s just we’re just walking along right here just using the just using another rack right there this look this is cool this is that this one’s really really useful if you get stuck down into a lava pool in survival mode but wow this is that’s

Really useful but uh yeah that’s the uh that’s another rack right there now this one is the netherright engine now this claims that it will create a fireproof netherstaff which oh okay so i see so yeah i there’s one thing i was neglecting to mention

That uh in this mod there were two types of wizards whether there’s one thing i was neglecting to mention in this mod there were two wizard staffs out but it didn’t mention anything about how to get the nether wither staff and only mention the crash recipe for the normal wizard staff

But that’s cool apparently that’s how you get the nether one cool whoa i accidentally dropped it but wow that looks cool so now that we have another one i’ll go and switch to using it the next one we have right here is the lodestone which says that it will

That you can teleport with it but i’ve been trying i’ve been like testing this thing out for like i don’t know like a good like 10 minutes and like even in survival mode it seems to like not be doing its thing it seems to not be teleporting me

I don’t understand how to actually make it work so if you guys can tell me in the comments below that’d be really awesome now the next one we have right here is the soul sand now the soul stand is actually pretty cool but pretty creepy at the same time

Because when you right click it it will it will cause this these hands to come out of the ground which will cause a uh damage effect on any mobs that are in range of it so let’s see if we can find a uh mob here in this nether fortress oh magma cube perfect

So hey there we’ll go ahead and just do this and i completely missed it okay okay i hear blazes As you can see it’s it’ll start damaging it right there which which it’s both terrifying and cool at the same time to be honest but i gotta get out of here because i don’t wanna get hurt by blazes now the next one right here is the gold nugget and with the gold nugget

It says that you you can actually trade with uh with picklings here oh i see okay so you can it will give you random stuff it seems this is actually the first time i’ve been testing it out so you can just keep get wait hold on let’s try in survival mode

Come on give me step oh come on really dude you suck and the next one right here is the obsidian now the obsidian is actually uh pretty cool it seems like a reference to a doctor strange because when you right click it and you hold it down you will create another a

Straight up nether portal like straight up like both the portal from port from the game portal and dr strange’s portal said you had to like swirl around and such it it looks really it looks really really cool and apparently you can’t use it to go back to the overworld unfortunately it’s own

Uh it’s you can’t use it in the nether to go back to the overworld it’s only for the old world only now the last one right here is the glowstone which says it will detect nearby enemies but uh it seems to not be working i’m i’m right-clicking right now to try and

Detect where enemies are but it seems to to not be able to do anything unfortunately so i don’t know if it’s a little bugged or anything if it is uh tell me in the comments below because i can’t seem to figure it out but uh that’s the glowstone that’s pretty much all the

Uh stuff added to the nether update with this mod okay so now we’re on the last set of items that are for this mod that i got like updated the xp portal there for a second the first one is the blue dye now i have to actually go outside for this because

I’ve had like so many problems especially my last mod showcase with like the weather interrupting me but this blue dye will actually change that you right click it and it will bring on the weather it just kind of takes takes a little while right there as you can see

But now it changed from clear to rainy right here as you can see and i hold it again and it will turn it back to clear skies once again that one is really really useful if you have like rain problems and such but uh yeah that’s a blue eye right there yep

Now the next one right here is the bricks now i’m actually going to go and switch my game modes back again because what this does is when you hold it down it will surround you in bricks so you can basically be safe from mobs except from like spiders since they

Like crawl up here but yeah it’s it’s actually rather you it’s actually rather useful in that way if you’re like running it not running away from mobs at night but uh yeah that’s a bricks right there it just creates like a little wall of sorts and the next one we have

Right here is is the feather now this one is also pretty useful you will basically start falling really really slow as long as you have experience for it you see my experience is still going down but yeah you will basically slow fall and you can you can barely move unfortunately

And just save yourself when you’re about to like fall to your death it’s really useful in that sense as well if you need to build like a a really really tall structure but you accidentally get knocked off by something but you realize wait a minute i’m a wizard with a feather

Then you’ll you’ll be fine so yeah that’s the feather and this one is the mycelium now the mycelium it sort of does the same thing that the carved pumpkin will do but it will create a poison cloud so we’re just going to whoosh and there’s basically this poison cloud

That will affect mobs and presumably other players as well except i didn’t test out this mod with other players only on other mobs but it will start poisoning them to death so you just basically just rip a fart at them and they start dying of poison so

Yeah that’s the mycelium there now the next one is the water bucket and this one is also definitely one of my favorites because what this will do is we will basically be like a water bender from avatar you basically just right click it on something and you will

Create a water flow right there as you can see and it just looks real and it’s just really cool all it takes is your experience right there and you can basically have endless sources of water as long as you have the staff and a water bucket on you

So yeah water bucket right there makes me feel like a water bender from avatar yeah now the last two items were items that i unfortunately could not figure out the first one is the shulker shell which says that it can basically launch the shulker’s projectiles at mobs like the things that

Shockers will launch you to cause you to levitate you can basically shoot those at a mob but uh unfortunately as you can see it’s not really doing anything unfortunately so i don’t know if it’s like still under development or something so if you guys can let me know in the

Comments if it’s like if anything i’m doing anything wrong or something that’d be awesome and then the last thing we have right here is the fishing rod now on the forums it claims that this is apparently a grappling hook but uh once again i tried it out and uh i couldn’t actually

Figure out what it does i i haven’t tried like as you can see i was like holding it down and i release it and i’ve been like holding it down for like a really long time or something but uh i just can’t seem to it doesn’t

Seem to be working right now again i don’t know if it’s glitched i don’t know if there’s like still under development or something but yeah this uh this grappling hook just doesn’t seem to work unfort unfortunately oh wait a minute wait whoa whoa what wait what

Uh can i go so just work there um come on do i just gotta keep holding it or something i again i was testing this thing out it just was not working how i expected it to so i really don’t know uh over there i

I don’t know so if you guys figure out how i managed to actually get it to shoot something uh please let me know in the comments because i’m i’m struggling this one i thought it seems really cool though it seems like a version like batman’s grappling hook or something
