Minecraft Mod Spotlight: Simple Ores 2 (1.6.4)

Hello and welcome to another mod spotlight today I’m looking at simple ores to a mod I really love as a few new ores and a lot of possibilities now one thing I should note right away is that everything in the mod is customizable not only can you change the ideas like

Normal you can change the spawn Heights for the different ores like the different Y values they spawn between the rarity the vein size the stats like the durability the damage the protection of the armor pretty much everything about these ores you can change so what I’m going to mention is only by default

If you don’t like any of the default you can change it you could make any of the ores more powerful than the other you can weaken them all there’s a lot of customization you can do for the ores and their alloys so with that said let’s

Delve right in the first two origins you find would be copper and tin which are very low level or is below iron so they don’t make the best tools in armor but they do help get you some tools and armor earlier than iron ore to go with

Iron if you’re low and if you put them together on a fusion furnace they will make bronze now here’s how the fusion furnace works you put fuel on the bottom you put a callus in the top and then you put in the two items you want to be

Fusing and you get different sized chunks based on the catalyst you use the redstone is the best catalyst for making bronze so you get the large chunks which then you can smelt into bronze if you get the small chunks will take five to make a large chunk and the medium chunks

Take three so it’s more efficient use the redstone to get the large chunks anyway bronze is more on par with iron by default so I think usually might be a bit better on durability but usually equal in stats the next doors you’ll find will be mithril adamantium minerals

Around Gold level while a dimensions more diamond mithril is more between iron and diamond while adamantium is more on par with diamond and both these ores are really good and if you mind them you’ll get the ore blocks just like here now if you put them in a fusion

Furnace with glowstone dust you’ll get the large theory of junks and theorem is way better than diamond Dell give you a bit more about how the stats and stuff work in a minute though but then if you go to the nether you’ll find onyx now this actually mines the gem and not the

Block so it is recommend to use fortune because it’s pretty hard to find it can spawn anywhere in the nether but its rate is rather low now if you mix this with metal you get Cinna site the best door in the game but you need to gassed here to get the large

Chunk so the catalyst fears one are a bit harder to come by so it might actually need more if you don’t get a whole bunch of gas tears or gives you more of a reason to go kill gas anyway those are the ores now let’s look a bit

More at their stats and what they can do now to show you this I’ll just be using creative since it’s a lot easier than trying to do it all in survival so you can see all the ores and their blocks here and now this page you can see the

Would expect and the metal furnace is more fuel efficient while the Onyx furnace has a chance to give you double the ingots in return and just to mention again all this is custom özil in the config you can choose how rare each four is you can set how fuel efficient the

Onyx then we come to the armors now like the tools to pretty much what you expect there’s an armor set for each and a sword for each but there are also some bows which have special effects the material damage and efficiency onyx damage and flame theory um damage and

You can customize all this stuff as well you can choose the damage for each of the bows as well as how potent the effects are like make it zoom really far the damage of the swords as well although it uses the same durability as the tools you also can choose the

Durability of the armor the protection for each part the enchant ability if the armor and the tools are both separate and then you have this page which shows you the ingots the raw used to make the bows which are two ingots and the chunks this mod does also

Add a few new achievements for things like the new pickaxes going through their progression mind some of the new ores making some of the new bows and fusion I should also mention though that Fusion is not part of the main mod if you want to play simple ways of out the

Fusion mechanic and just have the 5 ores in their armor sets you still can and you still can customize them but if you want to add in the fusion you’ll need to make sure you download a version of the mod with the fusion plugin or add the

Fusion plug-in in it’s made by the same person who makes the main models found at the same post another thing I forgot to mention earlier is you can set up custom recipes for the Fusion furnace as well so you can make your own fusions

Like you can say a 10 ingot and an irony get produces gold or something if you wanted to as well and choose your catalysts and all that kind of stuff so there is a lot of really cool options you can do with this mod anyway overall

This is a really amazing mod there’s a lot of mods out there to add new ores but this is in my opinion the best one I’ve ever seen because of the amount of customization like I said before you can change the vein size to vein variety

This spawn height of the ores you can change every aspect about the tools to make them just how you want you know you can make mithril Hylian chanimal or bronze Hylian chainable you can change how much damage your weapons do and speaking of damage just to show you

A bit of how belts the armors are by default a diamond sword has seven attacked image an iron has six so if you look through copper and tin or just blow iron while bronzes on par with it there was six mithril and adamantium are tied with diamond while onyx is two above diamond

Sin aetherium here has ten three above diamond while cinah site has amazing 12 5 above the diamond sword so it is still pretty bounce considering how hard they are to get but if you don’t like the bounce like I said before you can go into the configs and change them another

Thing that makes this mod so awesome is that there’s a lot of other plugins for it beyond the fusion furnaces here the guy who makes simple ores in the fusion furnaces also makes nether rocks which adds some new Orson Heather besides onyx each with their own unique abilities and some were set effect

Since such which is really cool as well and like simple or you can customize the nether rocks to a great extent some other modders also make some mods for simple ores like there’s some adding new fusion furnaces and making the fusion furniture to an item generator even or

There’s others to allow you to recycle armors back down to English use in the fusion furnace and adding a bunch of new ores like silver and a bunch that I just can’t even go into listing them all here you’ll just have to check it out in the
