Minecraft Mods FTB Infinity – MULTIFARM [E47] (HermitCraft Modded Server)

What’s up everybody welcome back to another episode of feed the beasts infinity on the Hermit craft server so guys yes I am back I just had a surgery I mentioned at the end of last episode I had a wisdom tooth removed and yeah I’ve been on pain pills and things like that

My mouths been hurting have been able to talk right so yeah it’s been a couple of days since the last episode that is why um you know I was just over here trying to start my episode and I realized these hobgoblins they they haven’t been taking

Over my base for quite some time and there was an update I think it was in 1.3 of this mod pack or something where the hobgoblins stop spawning everywhere in like the plain style biomes they just make a chicken except my throwing that off into the void I don’t know but yeah

Anyway yeah I just kind of realized hey we don’t have minions everywhere and I don’t think ever mentioned that before but yeah at one point one of the updates went ahead and removed the hobgoblins from spawning everywhere so yeah um let’s see last episode we were looking

At setting up a bee area and I kind of made it look similar to these rooms over here in a way we set up like one of these guys with the beehives in the center and you know look at your guys’s comments it seems like a lot of people

Wanted me to kind of mimic the style that we did before on the ultimate server where we had the little hexagon honeycomb shape rooms and things like that so I have decided to undo everything that we started on last episode I made this plant for him a

Little bit bigger and I set up some building guides yes the great thing about the building guides is that you can’t in fact make a hexagon shape so that’s awesome so I set up a few of these trying to lay them out in such a way that we can make multiple hexagon

Rooms and they’ll all fit together nicely so let’s go ahead and flip the levers on these guys that’s kind of what we’re looking like we got a nice even distance between the different hexagon rooms a nice three wide walkway right here and we can continue to repeat this pattern so yeah

I think that’ll work out pretty well now the thing is I don’t want to go too overboard with this right now because I’m not exactly sure how many different bees were gonna need and how many of these rooms were gonna need but I think we can do a repeating pattern and

Continue out this way for as long as we want also I’m not sure like what we’re gonna put over here so I don’t want to have like another hexagon taking up room that might interfere with that and I also want to start setting up a tree

Farm so we got to get that laid out over here so I don’t want to take up too much room over here if we have to go to Y this way so yeah just a few things to think about but I did get like four of

These set up and I think we’re gonna make some changes here today so one thing I was thinking about let’s grab some laboratory blocks here instead of having like a big square room like this I think what we’re gonna end up doing is taking these walls like this

And we will just go ahead and fill these in right like so obviously we would be doing this but I think what we’re gonna do is cut away the extra walkway around these guys that way this area won’t be a square with a bunch of hexagons in it

They’ll be hexagon shape and the hexagons will be like the only place to walk on if that makes sense so yeah we’ll have that lead out like that and then we’ll go ahead and let’s see yeah I think we’ll cut away the wall here and

We will just go ahead and take all of this away actually could probably do this faster if I bump this up to like a 5×5 or something right I’m giving the block cut there we go so if we do there oh maybe go down one lower they were perfect

Yeah then we will start taking away some of this flooring over here just giving it get getting rid of all of this extra stuff if I need more space to put another hexagon over here I can go ahead and add that in later but I think let’s go ahead

And clean this up and make this nice-looking well go ahead and get rid of all these extra blocks we don’t really need here yeah so let me go ahead and do a little bit of cleanup here I will outline all of our hexagons and we will be right back guys alright guys so

After I did a lot of that work I decided I should move these guys this way about four blocks that way we have this nice walkway but it would like run into this wall otherwise so I moved everything four blocks this way so we can completely walk around this very first

Hexagon of the honey honeycomb sections so yeah I think this is much better yeah a little bit of a walkway we don’t have to go through the first one if we don’t want to um so yeah the next part of this is is how we’re gonna do the walls and

Oh you know what I should probably grab laboratory blocks I think we’re gonna take some of these guys buy some I mean a lot so let’s grab some of these and I think we’re just gonna go ahead and outline along here so we’ll have a proper wall along the outside I’ll take

Our builders wanna go ahead and bring this up a bit something like that okay so yeah now we have a proper wall around here we don’t have to worry about falling off into the void or whatever okay so I will go ahead and do that all

The way around but the next thing is what we’re gonna do for these little sections here I’m almost thinking I guess we can put some of this stuff away man a glass we’ve been using mana glass a lot for our projects around here so I think we might continue it I’m not

Actually sure can use a builder’s wand with this you can’t perfect okay so I think we will put mana glass along here and we will probably let’s see I’ll need some more of those laboratory blocks back think we will go ahead and bring up the edges kind of like

That we might even do similar to I didn’t ultimately just like outline the project let’s see something like this hey I think that looked pretty cool and we can go and fill this hole in and use our builders wand something like that so it keeps the same clean look the same

Blocks and materials we’ve been using all over but we put into the honeycomb shape and it’s obvious now that this is specifically for bees in fact I think this one right here would probably turn into that and then obviously along the top we’d have to remove these guys and

This would all turn into these blocks as well and along like that yeah I think that’s what we’re gonna end up doing so I got a few oh well yeah a little bit more of building to do here so let me go ahead and fill out the rest of this

Honeycomb put the walls around I might do the rat all three of these other ones put all the walls up and stuff like that and we’ll be right back guys alright guys so here we go we got everything laid out huh yeah all the hives have the

Glass in it all the borders surrounding it we have the border around the edge done I don’t know I’m kind of feeling like now that this is all done it’s feeling a little claustrophobic like right in here I’d almost think it’d be better if this was open to the world or

Maybe this whole thing beat glass or something like these outside walls I don’t know it looks pretty cool from the minimap view though I do like the way that looks so we would be able to add in you know more here in here and continue to pattern out just depending on how

Many honeycomb areas we’re actually gonna need when we get to the part where we figure out which bees were gonna need yeah I’m almost thinking it would be better if we did end up squaring this off instead of wrapping this wall around so close to these honey combs I don’t

Know I thought I’d be kind of a cool idea until we built it all out now I’m not liking it as much but yeah you guys let me know in the comments down below if you guys liked this or not I know there’s a lot of the

Same color here and there’s not a lot to you differentiate these different sections from each other it all looks relatively the same but yeah once we get you know the hives in here and the bees and maybe some astroturf or maybe regular grass and here I’m sure it’ll

All look much better but for now we got the outline done this is kind of like just the basis for the design that we’re gonna do I think we’re gonna move on to another project now though we spent quite a lot of time here my senior oh

These honey combs I do need to get a tree farm set up and that’s one of the things I really want to get done today so over here I’m going to build out another section we’re gonna look at the forestry multi farms for doing a little bit of tree automation tree farm

Automation I know there’s Emma far that you could set up a ridiculously large tree farm with I really don’t want to use them afar for the tree farms so yeah let me go ahead and set up a platform here and we will be right back alright

Guys so I went ahead I decided to go with the smallest design for the multi farms so what it’s gonna need is a three by three by four I think Center structure might be three by three by three I can’t remember either way the way this works is you place out a

Platform of the same material in this case we’re using stone bricks and the multi farm itself will be made out of stone bricks but anyway you can go out nine blocks from the smallest size so that’s one two three four five six seven eight nine so you go out nine blocks

It’s three wide and just go diagonal to the other four sides or other three sides I guess so I made kind of a repeating pattern here kind of the same way we did the honeycombs if we want to add more we can just add in another

Section so that’s the way we’re doing it with this multi farm setup now the way these are laid out right now obviously you can see there’s only one block gap between the farms I’m not sure actually if I like that so what I think I’m gonna

Do now these are the smallest and that’s the maximum size for the smallest farm I think we’re actually gonna come in one block I think we’re just going to fill this in one block on all sides and I’ll actually make this room I think two blocks narrower because I wanted a three block

Walkway between so now this is one block shorter on this side the wall can come in one block more so yeah well go ahead and fill this all in so instead of being nine radius it’ll be eight radius not a big deal we probably won’t need that

Much form anyway but yeah I think that’ll give us a better walkway between them think I’ll just look nicer so let’s go ahead and get this in here or something like this yeah we’ll just fill us in real quick and kind of take a look at what this is looking like and these

Blocks keep jumping around doing weird stuff in my inventory gets kind of frustrating actually uh-huh if you have all these different types of laboratory blocks and then inventory tweaks tries to autofill it always chooses the wrong one yeah I think that’s looking pretty good because now we’ll have like this

Three wide walkway between the forms so yeah I’ll have to do that along this one too will shave off a spot on this side actually now that I’m thinking about it that’s gonna make this walkway 4y2 along this side so I might move everything over one block we’ll see we’ll see but

Yeah in order to get this going here we have to make the multi farm blocks just called farm blocks yeah so we have to make these guys here farm block so it’s a little bit of copper some of these electron tubes Tim looks like oh these are just for the different materials we

Can use you know give you a quartz if we wanted to which would be kind of extravagant looks like we can do stone brick mossy stone regular bricks cracked stone yeah lots of different things to choose from so in order to make these electron tubes we do have to make a

Thermionic fabricator I haven’t made one of these and the very long time I don’t think it’s that difficult but yeah it’s just some tin and some redstone and then you have to melt some glass to make the actual tube very easy recipe let’s actually look at the thermionic fabricator

This guy what is this one Oh endothermic pump okay so this is a sturdy casing which is just bronze not too bad just some gold and some glass yeah that’s pretty easy to make okay so let me go ahead and get some of those electron tubes made I’m probably gonna

Mess around with this a little bit more shift everything over one block I make the walls all one narrower yeah let me go ahead and get some things going here and we will be right back guys alright guys so I got some things set up here I

Made all the multi farms so we have the farm control on top that we could put a lever or a computer whichever we choose to do if we right-click on this thing we can see the interface here we got a spot for water we can put in a different what

Is that called like a circuit or whatever and changes from tree farms – I don’t know nether Ward farms or sugar cane or whatever we want we have put in fertilizer here and then this is where all of our materials go like our sugar cane or our dirt or whatever we’re doing

And this is where the output goes so underneath the farm each one of these are set up exactly the same we have a farm hatch so we can put in items we have a farm gearbox to power it and we have a farm valve to insert water I

Believe all of them require water I’m not entirely sure we’ll figure that out later and then on the bottom here I have yet another farm hatch and this is where we’re going to receive items from yeah like the items that it produces saplings and wood or whatever it will all come

Out of this bottom hatch okay so what we need to do is we could put a test or act on each one of these guys we could put water here and power here and then have another test direct channel set up specifically for appetite but I kind of

Feel like that’s a waste I think what I want to do is have one tesseract here that’s providing power and then it’ll also provide items and it’ll also provide water so I’ll do all three on one tesseract and we’ll just put down like our main base power one or whatever

So you can receive the items into our main AE system so it’ll be two tests or acts per instead of for yeah I think that’ll be much better so I just made up a whole bunch of tests or acts yeah these are all brand new I haven’t touched them at all basically

What we need to do at this point is set up those channels so we have like I don’t know a multi farm channel or a tree farm channel or something like that so we can get all of those different items through okay so and this is

Lagging come on we need an export bus yeah we’re gonna need an export bus I already set up a recipe for fertilizer so we need to craft this up for the first time go and craft those just need one of these guys so we can export into

It so we’ll start setting up this test Iraq the way we need it we can use another one of these guys back here let’s grab another cable anchor grab you set you right here and we’re also going to need one of these white cables set that guy right like that um we’re gonna

Tesseract here this tesseract is going to be receiving items or I’m sorry sending items and we are going to set this private and we are gonna make a new channel called I don’t know Multi farm and let’s see 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 this

Will be channel 10 and it erased where they take their multi farm ad it said it okay so this test tracks are only sending items I need to get down here then we will place the export bus where I like so and fertilizer now I think

There is a card we have to add to this thing so I’ll craft it if we’re out of these um let’s look real quick I’m not sure I haven’t done that particular thing for capacity craft oh yeah here we go crafting car right so I think we have to make one of

These so let’s do that real quick why do I have a zombie in here wonder where you came from let’s set up seven I don’t know if I hit f7 actually let’s go outside if there you yeah the yellow lines where did that zombie come from that’s got me

A little concerned I thought all of my spots we’re not spa Noble oh okay yep I just added in this thermionic fabricator and that has a big ol red X on that’s the only spot a zombie could have spawned so we will put a torch there okay say that

Seven again so we wanted to make ourselves a crafting card do I have everything I do perfect so make one of these guys so I do believe that I’ll make it so if we’re trying to export the fertilizer and there’s no in the system it will craft

It I think that’s how that works crafting behavior use stocked items or craft items well exporting do not use stuck to em it’s only craft okay yeah this is the way we want it so to use any of that’s in the system and then I’ll craft additional perfect okay so let’s put

This stuff away so one part of this is set up let’s grab a vibrant capacitor banks we will use these guys I think for now I don’t think we need that many but I’m just gonna grab all six of those and so you don’t have any other use of this

Moment so we’re gonna need another tesseract in an out let’s see you and then we’re gonna need one for water okay I think that should be all we need I’m gonna go steal this water thing that we have over here that we have not been

Using um how’s the best way to do this bucket let’s go ahead and just take up these source blocks real quick right I’ll grab you yeah we will just go ahead and destroy all these things trying to get these micro blocks whoops whoop dupes please please please please please

And we will know you won’t that we could just punch that off there but doesn’t want a punch off there okay so I think we have everything that we need let’s head back over to our farming area I think what I’m gonna do for now is I’m

Going to set this up kind of a temporary I believe what I wanna do is have like a lower floor down here so we can get to like these different farms from underneath but for now we’re not gonna set that up so let’s go ahead and get these vibrant capacitor banks laid out

Oops oops I seem to have lost another one did I have six away no this guy needs to be on top right there perfect okay so this we will have one input and on the back we’ll probably have an output let’s go ahead turn this guy around back down here will be your

Output perfect so our output we’re gonna have on that same channel okay so private fluid the block energy mode send only and that’ll be on our multi farm channel so we will do that and we will put another test erect on top and this will be our main base power in so

Receive power main base and then this is sending out the power on that same channel okay so I think I can’t is there wake is this shift right click get rid of all this stuff okay so now we can see there’s no power coming in or leaving

Okay so that’s two of the things set up now we also need to get our water set up and I wonder if I put a block here and I put this guy right here okay get rid of that block and then we can use some of these strips like

This that they’re in there then you can fill the rest of this up with water okay so that now has an infinite spring we will go ahead and right click and add in the speed of grades and world interaction upgrades will also change this test track down here to accept or

Send water as well okay so now we have all three going on that one test direct channel yeah this is kind of not the permits set up there but for times sake that’s the way we’re gonna do it okay so now we come down here underneath one of

These farms so we can take our one tesseract set it there let’s go ahead and grab an item duct guess I’ll do an impulse item duct that’s fine and we will also grab a little fluid duct sit that there and there and we will set this to owner only receive item receive

Fluid and receive energy and we will set that to the multi farm so now we should be getting water and fertilizer okay so everything’s happening the way we want it to work perfect the next thing yup still more stuff we need to get some dirt spam a bunch of

Dirt in here and we will grab spruce something like that should be fine so let’s put a bunch of dirt in here and a bunch of saplings in there I think I think we should be set up yeah it is now planting spruce saplings is placing the

Dirt down we now have a tree farm so that’s awesome that’s going a lot quicker than I remember this thing going in the past I remember doing like one block at a time yeah that’s pretty awesome that works a lot faster than used to we out of drone oh

It’s doing it over here how are we doing under kind of look at this thing I’ll just put a little bit more in there I don’t think we’re gonna have enough saplings for the last section over here yeah that’s pretty cool the way that works I do like that all right and the

Saplings are done so now we just have to wait for the farm actually is this thing on or off I’m not sure with the farm control if a redstone signal turns it on or off I assume it’s on since it was placing all this stuff let’s try and grab a

Watering can see if we can speed this up a little bit oh these are red spruce saplings okay so forestry converted these trees into the forestry trees so that might mean that we’re gonna get butterflies out of these hmm now last time I messed with forestry and we had butterflies

They went everywhere like out until the unloaded chunks and things like that you might have to put some kind of a roof on here to contain that I’m not sure if that will actually make butterflies or not maybe we’ll do bone meal let’s see

Can i okay so a bone meal uh tree I didn’t turn it into the 2×2 tree which is interesting just kind of expecting that too but it didn’t so how long does this take for oh I also need another test track for the received items that’s

Right let’s get that set up down here as well so right down there I had a mood send only and this will be private and we will do multi no main base power so I think that should work whenever this forum decides it’s time to chop down the trees it should work

Here so we have access to all this stuff underneath and that’s also where I want to eventually put this guy out of the way so we don’t have to look at it alright guys what I tell you what I think we’ve done enough today with
