Minecraft Mondays! Let’s Build the Adventurer’s Guild

Hello and welcome back to minecraft on nexus gaming i uh i’m just on my weekly errands here i’ve just got back from the bank here i picked up all my uh money for the week to order building supplies for and i was just about to head

Into the post office over here oh look at that there’s no line or anything i can just uh cut straight to the front here and let’s see inner city mail do i got any mail i do today’s orders what is this recent expansion clear town needs to partner with the adventurers guild

To provide safer and easier land acquisition and so as to further goals without lying with other nations blah blah blah i’m contracted to build a guild hall so that they may move in all right do i have any out outbound mail let’s see i do not

All right so uh i guess we’re uh we’re working on the adventures guild hall today which if i remember right for the city plans is right over here this building here all right so let’s uh put that book up we don’t need it how do

We want to build this what do we want to make it out of i think um I’m gonna go with another stone and wood look similar to that these three buildings but i don’t know if i want to use cobblestone for this one i think i want it to look a little nicer so i’m gonna go with some stone brick here get the wood out as well

I also don’t know if i want it to be too tiered like that i think i just want this to be a mesh of both of them so we’ll start with the uh the shell like we always do we’ll do this kind of spacing here that leaves what one two three four five

Six seven eight between and then five in the middle here what if we uh bring that there that way it’s seven seven seven right i think i did that right that’s one two high all right one two three four five six seven and this should be one two three four

Five six seven yep seven seven seven lucky numbers baby lucky numbers it’s not gonna be the same on the edge here how long is this three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven so i can do five and five here so split it right about there come on there we go

All right and these are gonna be our main like support beams i guess for the wall four five six seven Three four five six seven and then on the corner and then one two three four five and the side there all right so that’s gonna be the stone kind of breaking it up we’ll go ahead and fill in our wood here for the border i have sort of

An idea on how i want this to look i’m just not sure how it’s going to pan out i want this one to be more kind of fort like you know kind of similar to uh the guard barracks over here because the way i see it this is the main base for

The legion that uh is in control of the town other than the castle of course this is going to be the main base for the adventurers guild so they both need to be kind of fortified you know so we’re gonna start off by uh just building up this first bit of wall here

Leveling it out here it’s kind of nice to get back into this i only play this once a week and uh i don’t know i think that a mystical agriculture break i had was definitely needed because i don’t know if you could tell that uh between the first version of the post office

And the tavern i feel like my builds were starting to get a little stale so it’s nice to take a break here and there so go ahead and continue around here with these blocks and as always we always build the shell first and then we throw in windows and stuff to kind of

Change it up a little oh there we go all right so that’s gonna be like the first floor i guess um do i want i think i want stone bricks stairs wherever they may be did i miss them how where are they there’s cobblestone there they are

All right so i want to kind of stone brick the top here and i think my idea is to have like five towers on this thing i want a tower on each corner it’ll have to be a small tower but then i want like one big tower in the middle

To kind of uh kind of center it i guess and like i said we’ll just uh see how that looks i don’t think it’ll look that great but if i have to i’ll change it up so i do that all right so i will do the

First tower do we want it to be three by three will that look too close together now that should be fine and do i want them to be stone towers i think i want them to be stone towers and then i can do like a wood tower with

Stone increments on it in the middle yeah let’s try that so go ahead and shape out our towers here uh we’re gonna have to get rid of these stone stairs on the corner corners as in plural for all of them and uh how high do i want this these towers i think

I think i want to continue slanting up on the rest of the roof too so like if i slant this or slope this up with the stairs right and i do that again maybe kind of have it meet there does that look way too high

I think that might be too high to slant it up hmm i don’t want this to be like crazy big either i mean crazy tall i guess um should i do like uh stone slabs instead where are the stone slabs stone brick slabs all right so if i do it like this maybe

I messed that up okay so uh do that and that and then have it damn it have it meet there maybe that doesn’t look too tall i think i can swing that so go ahead and fill that over here and i’m gonna do this on all four sides in between the towers

I don’t think that looks bad uh we’ll have to uh fix this up because it’s not going as high all right go ahead and do it over here yep okay and on this side as well and finish up with this layer and one more side all right

So that’s gonna be the main roof area now i feel like i feel like this isn’t wide enough for the center tower so i might chip some out of there but let’s work on these towers first let’s get a design we like that we can repeat easy

I don’t want these to go really high so maybe just like one up there also it looks kind of weird with the stone here what if we extend the wood like that maybe maybe um how do i want to do the top that’s a another good question um

I don’t want it to look too similar to the guard barracks over here so i don’t want to do like the increments like that should i just uh let’s do four corners see i feel like that’s gonna look like the wall towers if i do it like this

Because i’m pretty sure that’s what i did to the top here yeah hmm i think i might be able to swing that though maybe what can i throw on top here what just like a slab i guess that works i guess let’s go ahead and get these other towers set up the same

For now like i said if anything looks bad i’ll change it at some point this is kind of just a first draft like most of my builds are all right so we did the uh corners slabs and the stairs and i guess we should uh

Put a roof on here too let’s go ahead and do a wooden roof here that way it stands out a little on the map kind of weird that i did a that corner and just skipped over this one but whatever all right and the uh wooden floor and the final tower here

Four corners with the slabs and the stairs and the roof so i guess that’s the uh four corners done are those two close together now this should be fine they should be fine it’s either that or i can just connect the sides here maybe that would look better

I don’t know let’s work on this center tower first so where’s the center here the center is right here i do want to expand this out a bit maybe make it five by five i think five by five is big enough that’s gonna be the same size as these actually let’s do

Six by six or seven by seven i mean is that gonna be too big i don’t know we’ll see so go ahead and square this off and do we want it to be like wood going up maybe how high do i want it maybe one more

I feel like that won’t be too high compared to the other buildings i feel like you need to be consistent with how high your stuff is because i mean most of the most of the buildings over here are all generally the same height except for i guess the arena

And the guards barracks is getting a little low but i mean it’s all comparable size and these i mean they’re big but they’re not quite as big as most of those buildings just a little consistency you know that was one of my sayings at one point you got three things simplicity consistency

And bad camera angles don’t ask me why but that was something i said a while back and it stuck all right well uh stone brick off the top here all right that’s not like crazy big compared to the others no um that’s uh i need to fix that this needs to be wood

And i guess over here too all around the building we’ll do this all right that’s fixed up it’s not terrible the one thing i’m iffy about now is having these towers like so close to each other so what i might do i might connect them i don’t know

But let’s finish this one first what if i what if i do something like this let’s say i go ahead and slap up the corners too and then i just do stairs around it’s not bad i feel like they need some kind of something hanging off of them

Like all the other ones do so go ahead and wood this off for the ceiling and uh fix up this here that way at least the roof is done all right so i guess the shell is done i think i’m gonna experiment and try connecting here let’s see how that looks

So i’m gonna have to get rid of this um and over here get rid of these bits connect it there and uh i guess bring this up that does look a little better i think i think i’ll go with that let’s fix up the middle piece here with stairs

I think i like that better than uh that so we’ll go ahead and do the same over here um one more cross here destroy these two build up the wall cross it there fill in the wood fill in the other wood and do these stairs all right

So i think that’s the main shell complete let’s go ahead and throw in a door and we’ll start detailing it out what kind of door do i want for this building let’s go with i’m thinking we go with a jungle door how does that look it doesn’t look bad

But we’ll keep that for now all right we’ll throw in some windows i think this place needs some big windows at least on the front here the adventurers guild should look kind and open to everyone i think except for maybe the tower bits all right so uh

There’s no need for windows on this side or the back really but i mean if we’re gonna do windows on this side we might as well do the opposite side can we do like a weirdly shaped window there maybe i don’t know i don’t know about that

I don’t want to do just like a big window like that either what if i just like split it yeah we’ll split it on the sides like that do the same over here and do i want windows on the back i did windows on the back of these two

So i guess i should do windows on the back we’ll do the same as the front just big windows we’ll make that one a little smaller just for some variation all right let’s get our glass out we’ll do glass panes i feel like this is starting to come together

One more side for the windows i want to see how this looks from the inside on the sides here kind of like a little division here like wall wise what if we uh tear this part down like keep that keep the top there does that look better

That might look a little bit better so uh so one two oh we’re keeping the top all right okay i just wanted to check that out see how it looks in there as you guys know i’m not a huge fan of leaving three sides wood and one side another color so i

Definitely wanted to check that that’s uh all the windows done i want to fill something in here here and here and the same on the back side i think the two uh side sides are good let’s do a little awning from the front do a stone awning and we’ll uh

Make this one a little special instead of the wooden fence supports we’ll uh we’ll do some kind of other support maybe i can’t decide which one would granite look okay i mean no i don’t want that to mesh with the uh the road there let’s try

I’m gonna have brick walls on the lights on the road so i don’t want that i don’t know i guess we’ll just go with stone brick i will destroy that set up the supports here we’ll uh have this go out to about there i guess yeah

What we can do for the back here is we can use these get them here too all right now for these two spots i mean i guess the easy thing would be to just add windows like that but i don’t think i want to do that hmm where are my uh wooden stairs

Stairs there we go we’ll do our usual thing here and uh does that look weird or why don’t i just put the banner there like the banner for the adventurers guild that i haven’t made yet yeah okay we’ll put the banners there that’s a good spot and that’ll kind of

Fill that in too okay so we know what we’re doing there like i said i don’t have the banner or the adventures guild made yet but that’s what we’ll do there so we’ll go ahead and continue this with the windows all the way around besides we can’t put the banner up until

The guilds actually moved in you know it’d be kind of false advertising if we put the banner up now over here do this and that and uh i want to do something for these two can’t really do that in the middle because if i do it for there it’ll

Mess up there although that actually connects i thought there would be like a little gap there huh i didn’t think that would actually connect like that would it look better to just now i think we have it right doing that i think we have it right doing that and uh

Just keep that stone or that as a full block if i do this on the top i think i like that but i can’t really do the same for these windows i mean i could i guess can you stop messing up but then then it kind of awkwardly goes

Out there and i don’t really want to do that but i will do that for the same thing over here all right so i think that’s the four sides done for now maybe i will leave that there let’s put some bushes up around here boom boom boom boom

Yeah let’s do boom boom boom boom then just go around here like we always do cutting off at the window not doing the back side because that’ll interfere with the wall and let’s work on this last tower here now i had an idea and this is subject to change because i

Might want to base it off of whatever banner i do but uh for now what colors should the uh adventures guild be where’s the wool there’s the wool i’m thinking I’m thinking green no green and blue is gonna look too much like the grasslands um Do some gray and i don’t know grain red’s gonna look kind of evil-ish we don’t want to do that let’s do gray and purple make them look a little like mystic and magical i don’t think i gave myself a whole lot of room here i don’t know what i’m doing

I do not know what i’m doing trying to make like a cool looking symbol i guess let’s uh where’s yellow yellow put some yellow in the middle there that looks kind of like a flower i’m not going for the flower look um so we won’t do yellow i keep passing the wool

Let’s do green i feel like i’ve made it look too much like a flower it’s kind of a weird symbol but i feel like it works just like a little pattern there you know do the same for these sides let’s go ahead and fill in green all the way around

All right and then the purple what if i no we’ll still put the grain also i missed a green piece on each of these and like i said this is subject to change if i want to base it more off of whatever banner i make because i don’t think i can really make

A banner quite like these the symbol i just made i’m not really good at making banners either so uh it’s gonna be interesting and fun but i think that’s all that done put banners there and there i think that’s good for the adventurers guild i think i’m satisfied with that i’m i’m

Not too sure about these pieces i might get rid of these because i feel like that looks weird with the increments there in the increments i’m not too satisfied with either i feel like they could really do with hanging off the side maybe that’s the experiment on these

And then we’ll uh we’ll call the video after we’re done with this all right so uh if i do this those two close together is it weird for them to go around the corner like that i can do like one more here and here hmm

Like i said i don’t want it to look too much like the other one so i don’t want to do the iron bars what else could i do i guess i could do fence or uh how would this look oh so i feel like that blends in with the uh

The stone brick under it too much what if i do this yeah get rid of the corner piece do that and then maybe maybe i put the stairs on top of those right hear me out i do that and then i do this and then i connect them with more stairs like so

Maybe maybe then i uh slab up the tops of these maybe and then And then where where where lantern because i can hang lanterns off these right i can i like that um that kind of throws it off a little there which side let’s go ahead and do this don’t want to go with this design do i want to go with it

I feel like this stone brick wall here just meshes too well so what if what if i do cobblestone it looks a little different gives it a little bit of a change in color breaking my lanterns i put up that’s okay and then i can do the same up here and across

I feel like that’s a little better that’s a little bit better the only other thing i can think to do which actually might not look bad do they have those do they have smooth stone stairs i don’t think they do andesite would probably be the closest thing

I don’t use a lot of band decides that might not be a bad idea that’s not andecite where is do they have andesite half slabs am i blind it there they are now what if i change this stone brick to andesite see at this point i’m just experimenting

Making it look a little better and these two hmm i guess that works let’s go ahead and do the other side and we’ll call it all right so a stone brick or cobblestone around here do the andesite on top and uh these are still stones brick

I guess that doesn’t matter yeah we can probably keep a stone brick for that it’s not really visible anyway so uh shouldn’t matter too much uh the andesite slabs and the cobblestone wall all right i think that is it for the adventurers guild there not bad

Uh like i said there are a few things subject to change i might change that design there i have no idea what banners i’m going to put there and again i don’t know if i’m fully satisfied with how this looks i guess if

I do it there i should do it to the top here too right to keep it consistent let’s go ahead and do it up here as well still increments the same way cool all right andesite stone brick and aside again and cobblestone all right there we go
