Minecraft Multiplayer on Nintendo 3DS

Hello avengers it’s me it’s funny make g today we’re going to be looking at playing some minecraft for the new 3ds these guys let’s check it out minecraft on 3ds it does offer two screens which is a unique experience in and of its own but it is playable only on the new 3ds

System that means it won’t work on one of these it won’t work on one of these but it will work on one of these so this is one of the new 3ds systems and of course it’s got like the peg here the c-stick that’s kind of the

Quickest way to tell and again here is the new 2ds this is actually the updated version of this guy here it does not have a 3d slider here and it’s got the c-stick etc so it is the upgraded new edition now the game itself does say local play of one player which means

That you can tether carts together however everybody requires their own today we’re going to show it on two which means i need to have two copies of minecraft the game now i could have two digital copies that would work but in this case i do have two physical copies

Here again this is a new 2ds this is a new 3ds so of course when the game’s launched you’ll see steve floating around on this island here and you’ll see this little brick icon down here now while this one’s loading here i’m going to go ahead take this 2ds here and

I’m going to push the start button what i’m going to do there’s my character here we’ve got luigi i’m going to go down here to show you options and patch notes and this is the latest edition that you have of this game so this is 1.9 make sure that regardless what you’re

Using you’re going to want to make sure you have the same patches if you download the latest update it’s going to be 1.9 there may even be a restrictions to using an older version that maybe doesn’t allow lan anyways but what we’re going to do is again we both have 1.9

Here so that’s going to be a okay and it does show that right here 1.9.19 confirmation here that the 3ds is using the same edition and here we’ve got tanooki mario so i’m going to go to multiplayer yes the touchscreen does work here multiplayer this one’s going to host

And now i get to actually pick which world we want so i’m going to go ahead and pick load existing and it’s going to disable achievements when you’re playing multiplayer but we’re going to say okay and it’s going to start building that terrain getting the world back together

In the meantime i’m going to hit join here and it shows nothing here with the sound on i don’t want to play the audio music but with the sound on you can hear it every once in a while kind of making a click as it’s trying to refresh

And look at that now that the world’s created it actually did populate here so now on this one i’m going to select that 2ds and now it says connecting server this one says hey they wish to join is that okay i’m gonna click yes in case

There’s anyone else in the area with a system trying to join in so you can permit who actually joins your world and i’ve successfully joined there and now you can actually see my character right there this version here of course is kind of unique to itself it

Plays more like the java version than the bedrock version you’re not going to find caves and cliffs in here but my son and i we had an absolute blast playing this together running around going through exploring caves crafting playing survival and it’s just really neat experience being able to play this on

The go and without having to have wi-fi it certainly makes things like a long car trip much more fun when you have an open world game like minecraft available right in the palm of your hands here’s the game running you can see like i said it’s pretty unique because you can just

Straight up touch screen open up your chest if you want open up your crafting table you have your map right here and you have your hotbar so again using that zl and zr up top here these guys is how of course you can navigate through

Your hot bar up top what happens if the host exits the game it’s going to hit quit and it’ll actually just show right away disconnected from servers so you’re just ejected from the game there you go minecraft on the go now yes today it’s available on the nintendo switch

And yes you can even tether those together as well so long as you have two copies there and yes even the nintendo switch version will be the more current version of the game however that unique two-screen experience can only be found here and again very cool if you do have
