Minecraft: Parkour Planet

Hey everybody how’s it going it feels like it’s been a while it’s like i haven’t posted since last year this is when you’re supposed to laugh because i’m the only person who’s ever made that extremely original joke welcome to planet parkour or parkour planet brought to you

I’m all about it okay october 21st 2020 nasa’s hubble telescope has discovered its first earth-sized habitable planet with an amazing parkour playground called planet parkour scientists have modeled the planet’s potential environments to help understand the ups and downs of different jumps on this planet the team working on this planet

Confirmed there are 40 stages in this parkour map planet parkour star is a dwarf star located just over a hundred light years away in the constellation amir khaka it’s so coincidental because that’s also the name of the map creator it’s crazy he’s got the same name as a constellation

Anyway future missions may be able to identify whether the planet has an atmosphere although you can check it out yourself using the simulation in minecraft pretty cool we got a reporter and the publisher the map creator pretty swift okay got the rules all set are we ready to go

Oh elytra has been equipped off the bat okay watch me this is very important to determine how 2021 is gonna go whether or not i just smack face first in into the elytra rings no we’re good we’re good everything’s good everything’s good we made it flawlessly into the water and it is

Unequipped my electro okay so if i want to restart i put it in there and that’s probably not something we want to do we don’t want to restart the map because well yeah we don’t want to do that okay so where do we think we want to go do we

Want to head over here probably maybe oh gold pressure plates those are checkpoints okay so that’s pretty swift stuff and then we’re obviously gonna have to be looping back around and jumping off the slime blocks in order to make any progress do we want to go over here

Uh it’s not looking like a place we can go i feel like you need to know the map in order to be able to speed around it effectively and yeah there we go i had a feeling we were going to be utilizing those slime blockers never mind we are going in this direction

Up over here up over here and then hoot perfection man we just popping off anything in the chest nothing in the chest that’s locked i’d like for it not to be locked is there enough there’s another option we can park parkour can we can we parkour no there’s a lantern up there um

Oh yes we go we go here i see this makes a lot more sense i keep hitting the checkpoint it’s okay dude it’s been i haven’t parkoured since last year really so uh the odds of it going like super smoothly let’s be honest they’re they’re pretty

Slim is there anywhere to go over here nope i’m just investigating people’s houses uh oh there we go nice swick up we go heck yeah dude toggle sprint sticking around for the new year i guess just drop on in there yeah yeah oh don’t tell me i thought for a second

I was gonna have to do like a i was i think actually gonna have to do a little jump off that do a little slime jump but actually that wouldn’t be enough to get me up there would it i might have to do this again

I think wait is auto jump on auto jump might be on right now is it no it’s not i just have i just don’t know what i’m doing oh it’s because i’m automatically walking up the slab and that’s the issue there we go perfect i know how to jump things it’s great

Uh over here we go okay slime jumps every time that we see a slime block we got to assume that we’re gonna have to loop it back around to get back to it somehow but i don’t know exactly where to go from here um bit of a mystery

Bit of a oh i have a feeling that we have to reuse the slime blocks that’s what we’re doing now now i see you also dude we’re just on the edge of a planet i guess it’s a simulation but that’s fine too okay so now we’re up

Here and then we go up there yep yep yep yep that’s unfortunate we didn’t want that to happen that’s really not not what we were going for there um when uh when parkour tag is back in the next season of minecraft championship we will be so ready to absolutely dominate everybody we will

Be the very best like no one ever was it is strange though not having to actually do any practice you know i’m so used to having to do minecraft oh god i gotta thread the needle through the lava onto the slime so used to life being consumed by minecraft

Champ’s practice that the idea that it’s kind of nothing to prep for i mean the practice server is still up but it just it feels like there’s a void in my life that i need to have back where am i going i feel like it’s another thing that i have to oh

Hold up do i have to jump onto there and then use those slime blocks to get to there man if i mess this one up it’s just gonna be a big sad i got it giving you those slime jumps that you don’t think you can make but then you can make

It and you’re like not really realizing that you could in the first place but we’re good we’re good everything is great okay slime jump to there perfect wait okay i can recover from this i thought i had to hit the ladder and i was going to be like oh no

Just a bit tricky kind of figuring out where wants you to go you know just a little bit i like this though it reminds me of parkour spiral i feel like it’s kind of influenced by that those of you who haven’t seen parkour spiral that’s a

I thought for a second i was gonna miss that one too just kind of the same format of like a big big structure that has a bunch of different parkour stages on it and stuff like that and it’s it’s pretty cool but this one this one’s pretty dope

Parkour spiral in some points like it was kind of difficult to figure out where you were trying to go this one’s a little bit more clear at least for the time being okay do we want no no no no no no no no no no no i there was a barrier

Block there was a barrier block up there no i don’t want to be here i want to oh am i going to be able to make that now please be able to okay thank goodness thank goodness i was trying to get up on the edge and i would have walked over

There was a barrier and i didn’t expect for there to be a barrier and that made me scared rip it’s okay we can do this we can do this is there barrier block or am i just supposed to make the jump i’m supposed to make the jump there’s barrier blocks cheekily hidden

In certain places i’m just supposed to not use them uh how do i get on this i guess we it’s all these uh double double loop arounds maybe wait is it is it did i just drop down here and i wasn’t supposed to drop down here you

Know i might have i might have just messed up and uh maybe i actually don’t know i mess up i think i might have messed up i don’t think i’m supposed to be here no we’re just gonna we’re just gonna dip on out i’ma head out that’s pretty cool look at that nice

Planet right there okay i might have been uh supposed to jump no wait how the hell am i so i guess no can’t do it right there uh interesting not entirely sure how i’m supposed to get up onto the next thing is there like a special oh i

See oh because we start from down there i need to get up there i did have the right direction which i’m just confused right now where am i is supposed to go maybe i am supposed to go over here maybe this is the way maybe this is the way i don’t know

Okay so we’re over here now maybe i’m supposed to like do a crazy strafe jump and land over there that’s oh that’s i’m not really under that that’s gonna be a rough one i don’t think i can do that um oh you know what maybe it’s this

So i did head in the right direction and i’m just dumb am i no i can’t tell what do you want no now i’m lower than i was before what do you want me to do where am i going here what uh no i’m just stuck oh wait

Oh oh we climb up the vine i’m big dumb okay there we go everything’s back to normal now until i fall and then i have to loop it back around again it’s just a classic like putting something half a block out of reach and then you have to do some whole big

Loop to end up right back in the same spot in order to just be able to make it half a block higher than you did before it’s okay yeah see if i had been able to make that cheeky jump around there i would have been able to just get ahead

And the parkour planet would not have liked that would not have been in its good graces okay there over up around and definitely you don’t want to fall down there definitely don’t want to fall down there dude somehow they managed to dig a hole straight through the entire planet it’s very impressive dude

Like if you did that on earth i’m pretty sure that if you fell down and somehow managed to withstand all the heat you just end up getting suspended and crushed in the center which doesn’t sound like a particularly fun way to spend your last moment mother of god are you kidding me right

Now dude you kidding me right now did i just hit my head on that that i really just hit my head on that it’s very disappointing my speed run is ruined and that’s it 2021 is uh it’s gonna be a bad year everybody because i just failed that jump

Okay let’s not do that and let’s just there we go better good okay thank goodness no barrier blocks do we want we do want to go down there oh such a lush bamboo environment dude this planet looking mighty habitable okay oh he can’t make that that’s unfortunate we gotta start at the bottom

It’s okay we can make it back where are we going over to there over to there probably i guess i can just bounce off the slime yeah easy okay that just leads me back oh another checkpoint that’s so nice of you to do oh oh no not like really oh

What you’ve done now is you’ve made it a don’t take damage section i see no i see you okay that’s clever that’s clever so this planet it’s got a a bit of a nasty atmosphere in this particular location nasa reporting back to you guys uh not advisable to go to this spot

Because it will it’ll hurt ya it’ll hurt ya but don’t worry i’m a really robust survival i wasn’t supposed to shift there i think i was supposed to just yeah i wasn’t smart all right guys i didn’t i sadly rip didn’t survive the first run of this area but it’s cool because i’ve

Got multiple lives and i know exactly how to do it this time which is don’t hit shift when i’m landing i don’t know why i had shift when i was landing that was dumb that was not dumb wait how the heck do i do that wait what

Hold up if that’s not gonna absorb any of my impact how actually am i supposed to survive that because it’s just too big of a frick what do you want from me what what do you want from me i do not know what you want from me uh okay so

How do how do i survive this do i like have to catch the edge of the opposite side no i’m really not sure about how to do that part what nasa i’m i’m reporting back uh not a big fan of this planet here i i discourage you guys from going and sending

Actual astronauts to it if the simulations are correct this place is not a not a good spot not a good spot for people to be at i mean can i draw i can do that but then i’m kind of stuck here i have to know what

Like i actually have to land on that because then i have to jump there but it won’t like i can’t drop there yep that’s it that’s an rip bruh is it possible is this even possible to do uh like do i have to maybe maybe maybe there oh

Okay that was that was better for some reason that was a lot better when i when i did it there well on the other side rather than okay it’s fine all wet i’m such an idiot i have to do that again oh my god come on man what are you doing

Okay things are looking pretty similar to the nether in this particular place on this planet um be warned very hot spicy lava uh where do i want to go from here though oh maybe you want to slime it back over probably yeah that’s looking like it right there dude

Now we’re figuring it an overhead block jump isn’t it now you don’t expect those to be here on planets that are supposed to be hospitable is that a four block it is just a four block right there and it might be able to just make that

Tbh didn’t think about that now did you parkour planet you didn’t think about that one no you didn’t okay so there’s that there get my head you love it when you’re just able to like skip things over because you are too smart for the almost um i almost really jinxed myself

On that one being too smart for the planet and all that uh probably just jumped straight for it yep yeah oh so good just too good too good unstoppable unbeatable wait a minute where am i going i don’t know where i am going here i don’t want to be in prison so there’s

Apparently a prison we haven’t uh discovered any signs of intelligent life yet but um they’ve gone up nope that’s not where we’re going okay hold on try this again uh over was it no it’s over maybe we’re landing on that one huh really really like to make you hit your head here

Is what i’m noticing yep perfect that’s what we’re going for okay don’t hit my head thank you brilliant um up onto the wall yes and then oh over to there huh is that right i got it perfect and then up to there yeah dude oh we’re too strong

Parkour tag doesn’t stand a chance against my powers and mc champs 14 will it be called mcchamps 14 or is it oh we just drop oh we’re just dropping down there or is it just gonna be season two episode one next space in pri i’ve just willingly walked into prison i don’t

Know why i did that that wasn’t very smart of me to do okay are we doing that was not good i overshot that okay and nope wait is this no this is fine this is fine i think we’re good probably could have just skipped that

Part if i was able to land on there wait what is this what is this nothing hold on is this like some it’s some prison cell parkour i like it got it brilliant sick oh what if i could have actually made the jump up there if

I shifted the right time that would have been so sick sick prison break uh nasa the security on this planet not entirely impressive i’ve been able to escape the prison they had set up it’s got a bunch of holes in the walls it’s um you know just

Not really secure which means that all of the uh all of the bad guys who were here before they’re probably not here anymore which means this might be a very dangerous planet just giving you the heads up you might not want to uh deal with it you might not want to send

The people here it’s got poisonous gas that brings you down to half a heart potential dangerous criminals all escape from prison it’s uh it’s quite a thing and there we go a lot of slime though if you like slime you’re gonna have a good time okay now i feel like we’re cooking oh

Yeah that’s what we’re doing a little bit of redstone action right there dude this planet does share some of the same technologies we’re used to back in the overworld i guess that’s what we’ll call it uh where am i going from here though i thought i was cooking i really did

That’s where it came from right so we were down oh you were down there oh no no i haven’t been there before everything looks the same when you just spiral over and over again and so i just keep thinking that oh i’ve already been there i don’t want to head

Backwards and it’s like no that’s actually a place we haven’t been it just looks pretty much identical to where you came in from so uh oh god dude i feel like we’ve made a lot of progress and we don’t want to fail here if we can avoid it oh dear now over to

Totally sick at least this way i totally know how to get back again definitely and then it was up here and then we loop back around go through the lava zone and then we got this is a long one to work our way back on

Not cool not chill at all and then okay double slime jump forward all right so we need to like go go go go go and okay thank goodness we’re good i just like i needed to stay on the right otherwise i hit the tree and it held me there for

Too long and then there’s a whole thing to say at least i knew i knew wait that’s not where we’re trying to go hey at least not that long to work my way back this time i felt like the slime jumps are what we’re going for here but

I don’t know oh maybe oh we’re slime jumping backwards that’s what we’re doing and then we go over and then we can slime jump onto the obsidian there we go nothing overhead thank you uh it would appear guys that on this planet you can actually have the nether in the overworld like

Connect to each other don’t even have to go through a portal that’s pretty cool okay we slime jumping a very interesting unique mechanic usually something you need to have mods to do but it would appear that here in this dimension it’s just the natural uh way things work all right where are we

Going here probably up no there we go uh no okay hold on up yes and then over to here yes perfect oh you know what we’re doing still want to be able to find like more shortcuts and stuff like we found earlier in the map where you just absolutely crushed it uh

Wait a minute that’s cool that’s pretty nifty that’s an interesting delay mechanism okay got it oh i like that signs of intelligent life actually beginning to appear here and it’s very fascinating they appear to use primitive technology in the way of wow have we really only made one loop around here

I guess it makes sense we are only on stage 16 out of 40. so yeah hey wait what are we doing then no we’re not going there we’re going like that okay great then we jump to it don’t mess up please thank you hey we made it

All right cool i feel like there’s a lot of things that aren’t actually utilized in order to make progress but they look like they could be and they’re misleading and i’m like oh i’m gonna need to use that platform later then it’s not i don’t need to use that platform later and then

And then i’m just like oh i didn’t realize i thought i’d have to uh go there do another slime jump we do man you just love those crisscrossing slimerous keys and up to there and up to there and um right there wait i haven’t been up here right into here i hope

Wait don’t i’m going backwards i’m going backwards which is good uh because i don’t know where i’m going am i supposed to go to there i don’t know all right hit me with your new year’s resolutions for me i feel like my new year’s resolutions are actually the same every single year

It’s basically just try to be better at being responsive and talking to people in messages on twitter instagram etc just being more responsive also figuring out where the heck i’m supposed to go from here oh you know what i think it is bouncing off the slime blocks over to there

Yep that’s it we got it and um i feel like i can continue a bit of my last year’s new year’s resolution which is you know just eating not necessarily becoming vegan or vegetarian but oh this oh this is cool oh i like this part this is the part

That we could see from the front over there just this whole like cool mosaic tile pat okay anyway it’s nifty oh there’s a there’s that um yeah just you know eating slightly less meat having a little bit more in the veggie department um also just just for health you know

That’s uh i feel like that’s a good thing to work towards and i did i feel like i did a pretty good job last year about okay that’s not gonna work i feel like i did a pretty good job last year actually in in reducing my meat consumption a bit

Oh my god i have to jump there’s a two block overhead this is gonna be a rough one i bet i had like a 25 reduction overall there we go that’s what we needed to do this year maybe we go for reducing it like another

I don’t know 20 i think actually a a big reason for the reduction in my meat consumption was just because i’ve kind of my my routine now is basically just i eat one meal a day and i would generally have some kind of breakfast previously but now i’m kind of

I’m kind of just like i don’t and i eat one meal each night and so even if i ate meat during every dinner i’m still technically reducing it by a significant amount because previously i would have been potentially eating like a breakfast burrito that had sausage or bacon in it in the morning

And i don’t do that because i just don’t eat breakfast so kind of a roundabout way of of reducing the consumption but it is still reducing consumption you know it’s like the the meme of the guy tapping his head like you can’t eat meat if you’re just not eating

So i consider it an absolute win personally so there you go and i mean i did want to slightly reduce my caloric intake anyway so um yeah yeah we out here we out here wow look at how smoothly the parkour is going when i’m just talking about new year’s resolutions i

Should talk about those more often but once again as i always say every year okay oh bit like bill lag another new year’s resolution i should uh finally upgrade my computer it’s been a while i’ve had this one for like five years and it is kind of my job and you know

When it’s your job you’re supposed to have you know good equipment and so i should probably get on that that’d be that’d be a decently smart thing to frick be a decently smart thing to do um so we’ll work on that one anyway though if you do have any like diet

Fitness related new year’s resolutions i try to say this every year to people make sure that you are being realistic with your approach to those things don’t do anything that is not long-term sustainable make sure that you’re you’re not making like temporary changes just so you can hit some threshold

And then be like all right i made my goal but then you just sink back into the habits you had before make sure that your changes are small and incremental and that way you can actually stick to them long term so if your goal is i want to exercise a lot more right

Well then in that case just go to the gym once a week i mean well jim hopefully gyms will be open more safely in the later portion of the year but you know go for a long walk once twice a week if it’s nothing now just do a little incremental thing don’t

Be like all right i’m going to go for a 10 mile run every single day because the odds are you’re going to burn yourself out you’re not going to stick to it and it’s just going to be like well uh that’s a bummer there goes my new year’s resolution right so just

Be realistic about the whole thing and i feel like you will do a better job at succeeding in the long term because you can do that little change for now oh we’re back to half a heart oh good oh great that little change now can then turn into a okay thanks for that

Wait not even not even you just switched me to half a heart this far into this section are you out of your mind oh my god so anyway um yeah yeah the more more reasonable more realistic the more likely you are to be able to then make another anchor like now

Okay next year going into 2022 all right so you’ve been able to stick to going to the gym consistently uh twice a week once a week twice a week for the last year now you can up it to three times a week four times a week

And then you’re like oh that’s not much of a change versus what i was doing before so that’s that’s pretty easy okay i think i’m just supposed to jump into the water down there so yeah anyway that be my advice oh and there come there’s our hearts are back

Heck yeah dude just thinking it was like the other one where i had to slowly work my way down and it was like nope i bet i don’t have any regen here so i gotta be really careful of where i’m landing on the magma blocks So anyway for me uh new computer eat slightly less meat which partially is accomplished by just eating less i mean i have i have lost since march since stay at home quarantine i’m the lowest i have hit just like last week was like 156. 156 and a half basically which is down about

10 pounds from what i was averaging probably a couple years ago which means i’ve definitely lost muscle mass but my bench press has actually remained fairly consistent i haven’t pushed myself as hard on squats yeah yeah yeah he skips leg day yadda yadda yadda i still hit legs every third day

Um but i just uh i don’t know i haven’t pushed myself too much when it comes to like hitting personal records things like that also that’s like you know since i’m working on a loan at home it’s kind of difficult to do safely so you don’t want to do anything

That’s going to put you into a bad spot where you like hurt yourself and nobody is around to catch you or something all right we got some levitation here on this planet there we go a little bit more slime jumps appears they have an end looking dimension as well here that you don’t

Even have to go through a portal in order to access it’s so much more convenient not having to get those eyes of ender and all that stuff in order to make your progress no ender dragon though convenient for when you’re not trying to get eated off into oblivion while doing your parkour

Whoa god although you can still make your own mistakes oh do we crush it we crush and we are over halfway we’ve just been cruising through so nicely we’re at stage 24 way past the halfway point uh am i supposed to go over here now maybe perhaps no we’ve already

Been there i think i didn’t know okay i’m supposed to get on there somehow maybe uh oh yeah probably up here there we go there we go perfect levitate up the tree let’s do it yeah though i do hope i mean there’s no like i feel like at

The end of 2019 people are saying all right that year was no good 2020 gonna be a lot better than 2020 was just like you thought wrong so there’s still a ch i don’t want to like get false senses of hope and stuff but it would be with with the vaccines and everything

Being distributed now i feel like it would it would take a pretty serious bad thing happening for us to outdo 2020 but it might take until the second half of the year is all so at least let’s be reasonable about our expectations there oh we’ve just like really worked our way

Up we’re near the top now all right i feel like it was a very short while ago that i was like uh we haven’t really made much progress we’re still down at the bottom half but now i guess it was those levitations made us just absolutely go ham

But hopefully we can hold out for a little bit longer second half of the year q3 the fall we’ll be out hanging out with friends going to restaurants my goodness going to a restaurant although i do i should say i i had the most brilliant brilliant new year where just

You know a chef first time i’ve ever done it hired a chef to uh come over and cook at my home and it was it was a brilliant like multi-course meal i made some instagram stories on it but just absolutely brilliant multi-course meal and uh

As like it was like what i oh god i just i was supposed to go up oh i messed that one up rip i think we’re doing it again now oopsies oopsies hold on i can fix this oh it was so good though it was so good

And i was like this is what i this is what i’ve been missing the whole year and it’s real nice to kind of just have it on the final the final night and now it’s all good now it’s all good now i’ll wait another uh probably nine months before i’m able to

Hit up a restaurant again but you know what i’m gonna do what i can to do my part to keep everybody else safe for the year and then the later half we’ll be back to normal i certainly i certainly hope oh okay that’s not going to work we’re

Trying to get to from here uh you’re just trying to get out that way okay perfect perfect great great great great there we go all right yeah i mean for me and i think i’ve you are kidding me right you’re you are joking you’re you’re joking wait can i get up there

I’ll be brilliant maybe we should explore this place it’s got a it’s got a pretty cool setup going on over here it’s a nice nice environment i like the black and purple with a distinct lack of green i mean there’s green down there but it’s kind of in a separate place we’re

We’re containing the like i’m not supposed to feel like i’m not supposed to go there i feel like i’ve been there have i been there yeah i think i’ve been there we’re going up this way yep we want to work our way up not down nice freaking close though 27 out of 40.

We’re almost at the 75 explored mark am i going down here i think i am okay a little bit too much purple and green right here but it’s okay we can kind of ignore that because now we’re in a different section oh i could have dropped down there

Interests are definitely going to want to explore what how the heck are there guys there’s a emerald slabs on this planet that’s definitely uh that’s definitely previously thought impossible back in the overworld so my mind has been changed definitely a place we should pursue here it’s fascinating truly emerald slabs wow

They are living in the future somehow they figured out how to cut an emerald in half it’s incredible okay and up we go oh now we’re cranking now we’re cranking see sometimes you just don’t know where to go but other times it’s just like the flow goes
