Minecraft – PRIMITIVE MOBS MOD Spotlight! – New Creepers,Villagers & MORE! (Minecraft Mod Showcase)

No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no damn it What’s going on guys my name is james or thanks sia and welcome back to another minecraft mod spotlight and today we’re going to be taking a look at the primitive mobs mod so yeah this is a fantastic mod and the reason why i like it is

Because i kind of feel that this is a mob mod for someone who doesn’t really like to change too much from the vanilla minecraft experience but at the same time it does add a lot of really really awesome mobs in there which are a lot of

Fun and yeah we’re gonna take a look at them in the video so we’ve got four chests here and they’re actually gonna start from the left one and now these are very very cool because these aren’t actually mobs but i thought we’d start with them as i

Think they’re a really nice idea so we have here two new types of mpc villager we have a lost miner and we have a traveling merchant so i’m going to spawn the travelling merchant first i’m going to put him down like so and as you can

See he is like a destificate fellow but he has a little backpack on i love this model it’s a really really good model and yeah this guy basically does not need a village to spawn so these will be all around your world in every single biome and they will wander around and

They act pretty much the same as normal npcs they have exactly the same kind of items so when you right click them you can do yourself a trade now this is pretty cool because if you have some emeralds but you can’t find an npc village you will find these guys

Around a lot however they do not have anywhere to run when zombies come so yeah they kind of like you might die basically they might die if they’re in and around zombies but i think that they are pretty cool nonetheless i would actually like to oh where you going are you going

You’re running away uh i’d really love to see these guys have some specialist items that only these npcs could have i think that would be pretty pretty cool uh but as they stand they’re kind of awesome so in terms of the next npc style character we actually have this one here

Called the lost miner now this one is very very cool now as you can see he’s crying why are you so sad i hear you ask well basically this guy spawns underground so what you do is when you are underground or whatever caving or mining you’ll find

One of these guys and he will kind of like be sad or whatever and then you can choose to leave him or what you can do is you can try and bring him back to the surface so yeah it’s kind of like one of these things

Where if you can where are you going there we go so as you can see i’ve right-clicked him now also you’ll see that he gave me an emerald and this is because what happens is when they’re underground you can choose to leave them or if you right-click them they follow

You and if you bring them back up to the surface they will give you emeralds as a reward so this is a really really nice way to make emeralds and i think it varies between one to six emeralds god these guys read cool come back hello see he’s not crying anymore so

We’ve made a very happy minor but yeah as you can see they come like that and as soon as you get them to the surface right click them and then they will give you an emerald or you know two or three or four or five or six as a reward so

That is a really really cool mob i think pretty cool so let’s just move on to the aggressive mobs and stuff now i’m gonna stick these fellows back in here and what do we have in here okay so we have three new types of creeper so everybody loves creepers he lied

But yeah the first one we’re gonna look at is the uh look at the rocket creeper first so it says on the forum page these little buggers form a new threat to every minecrafter not only do they explode like normal creepers they do it in a more devious way they approach the

Player and then jump up to the sky uh when they land they explode so the jump makes it impossible to evade however in a cave there might be not might not be enough space to um you know get out the way so it might be an instant explosion

Yeah this is a rocket keeper look at his shady face god damn you shady face he looks like he can’t be trusted i would not lend this creeper a fiver because i would never get my money back um but yeah okay so we’re just gonna swap into uh survivor mode here and he’s

Gonna start tracking us come at me bro all right so as you can see he jumps up in the air and then bang he comes back down and explodes so i’m actually gonna do another one of those that was cool as hell go you kind of like face plants into the

Ground but i really really like that i think that’s pretty damn awesome and yeah that is the rocket creeper so the next one we have is the festive creeper now it says here um oh also with those um rocket creepers the actual speed of them is increased so

They’re a little bit more difficult to get away and stuff but okay the festive creeper so you thought the rocket creepers were dangerous well think again these guys are sure to ruin your day uh while they look so innocent they are they uh let me think of this they are sure to

Give an unpleasant welcome present in the form of primed tnt so when attacking they throw tnt uh when the player is further away however when the player approaches they run away instead of throwing so this guy is kind of trixie and he’ll run away and kind of launch

Projectile primed tnt at you um so it’s kind of just best to run in and get it but what happens is when he gets below five health they just go crazy and they start throwing tnt everywhere even when close so they’re immune to fire and explosions

As well ah fill in the hole uh but yeah let’s spawn one of these guys in let’s go to somewhere that’s not completely blown up there we go ah this guy’s so cute this is the trick this is the trick because you think this guy’s cute but

He’s not oh no he’s not so anyway right we’re gonna go into the old um actually we’re gonna move a little bit further away and then we’re gonna go survival mode and let’s see how this guy see what this guy does ah so as you can see he

Throws prime tnt at me oh i don’t like you at all oh no no no no this guy’s gonna be oh god damn it i’m on fire yeah so ow no no no no no no tmt so ah no full health where is it there it is

So as you can see that guy is going to be a bit of a nightmare um especially when you get close to him he’ll start throwing tnt like crazy i also got set on fire then uh that was not cool and as you can see this is a big hole so

Yeah be careful so the final tnt we have now this guy is an absolute pain because he’s called the support creeper now when i first saw this guy i was like oh he might be a useful creeper no i was wrong because this guy is very very

Trixie indeed and i’m actually going to get a couple of other mobs to demonstrate so we’re going to get creeper and we’re also going to get a uh we’re going to get a or can i get a zombie a zombie let’s get a zombie oh they also dropped

Flint and steel the festive creepers by the way in case you saw that but i’m gonna get rid of these now what this guy does is oh i got rid of it by accident oops let me find it again where are you sport creeper there we go so what this guy

Does is he is not really an aggressive style mod but what he does is he will support other hostile mobs by giving them buffs and effectively like if you see a support creeper in and around a hostile mob he will start slowly giving that hostile mob support buffs so he’ll

Increase the strength he will increase fire resistance and he’ll increase speed uh to like zombies and stuff but as well as with creepers this is what he looks like by the way and he also makes you slow he gives you like a slowness thing so you can’t get

Away he looks fairly harmless don’t you think he’s like ooh hello but watch what happens when a normal creeper comes near him bang so he will supercharge the normal creeper and he’ll also like cause a lightning bolt to come down from the sky which obviously will supercharge that

Creeper so that’s really tough and as well as that if we just move into um knight here for a second if i get myself like a zombie or something i’m not actually seeing this in action but he should technically follow unless i’ll get another one hang on follow

There we go see as you can see he’s following him and he just increased the speed of the zombie so as you can see he’s running really quickly no a miner no save the miner so as you can see there he gave the zombies an extra buff um so this guy’s

Pretty tough wow and he does explode as well but yeah as you can see he’s going to be really really tough especially when they spawn in and around groups of hostile mobs they will follow them around and sort of you know be like a super potion of awesomely

Annoying stuff but here let’s get rid of these guys don’t explode no it’s not i don’t think they’re going to explode because i’m in creative mode but yeah so that’s it for the three creepers i thought those are pretty awesome uh but next we’re going to move

On to probably the most sort of weird item from this mod pack but it’s pretty cool nonetheless because this is called haunted tools now the haunted tool is an enemy mob and they attack any player on site but they come in different appearances obviously they can come in a

Pickaxe an axe a shovel or a sword and this is randomly decided and depending on what tool that is when you actually kill it it will drop that particular tool so that’s pretty pretty cool uh this for example here is a a wooden axe

This one is a stone sword this one is a gold sword this one is a stone axe again yeah so as you can see the diamond ones and the iron ones are slightly more rare but there you go there’s nine pickaxes in there and these guys will be spawning

And stuff so you know it’s kind of your job to find them and then when you do kill them they will drop that item so as you can see there we have a wooden axe now i’ve spawned quite a few of these accidentally like oh jesus

Oh this is not good at all this is not good oh good god damn you you julie bastard no no no no all right so all right we’re doing what we’re doing okay we’re doing okay we’re good we’re good we’re cool we’re cool so they’re

Quite fast as you can see and they do not that much damage if i didn’t have diamond armor on uh they’re actually doing uh half a heart of damage per hit so you know they’re not too powerful however as you can see they are pretty

Cool in terms of all the items you get it’s just another way to get some extra sort of you know gear and stuff and ow damn you and yeah i think they look pretty awesome when they’re flying in the air so let’s move on to chest number three

And see what’s in here i’m gonna put these back like so so in here we have two different types of slime everyone likes a slime so uh these guys are actually pretty cool so i’m gonna do the first one here which is actually called the treasure slime now what you’ll notice upon

Spawning these guys is they actually have oh hang on go into creative mode so i can spawn some more no that’s a normal slime where are you treasure slime where are you what color was it again there it is green so what you’ll notice upon these guys is they actually have an

Item inside the slime for example the small one here has inside if you look very closely a slime ball however this one here actually has an emerald inside him so if you kill him he will drop the emerald and now there’s some smaller ones and i think these guys have slime

Balls in because they’re little but when they grow i believe that they get better items inside them so this guy is a different color which is pretty damn cool and this guy has like what’s that gun powder inside yeah gunpowder let’s spawn a couple more that guy has a cookie inside so he’s

Like brown because he has a cookie this guy has an apple so he’s gold the golden apple and uh you know you can kind of get a lot of these i think there’s a red one as well for redstone oh this one loves me this is like a tameable slime that’s so cool

I didn’t know that existed but yeah you can get tameable slams or whatever if you find them um so as soon as you kind of spawn in and around them they will love you forever but yeah kind of cool now i slay you you’ve betrayed me there we go but yeah

These are treasure slimes so these are pretty damn awesome just a nice way of getting some extra items but yeah okay let’s move around to the next one now this one is the brain slime and this one is actually a hostile mob oh god there’s so many slimes here now okay

So this is the brain slime now it looks fairly sort of okay when he’s on his own however if i move into survival mode what he will do is he’ll make some cool noises and oh there we go see now he’s jumped on my head so once he’s on my head ow

I’m in a hole god damn it once he’s in my head he’ll start slowly like removing my health so as you can see there he’s slowly starting to kill me and you have to punch him to get him off and then you can kill him like that and yeah they’re pretty you

Know pretty annoying i suppose if they keep jumping on your head or whatever um is there anything else i can tell you about the brain slime he basically will just uh the larger they are they’ll be more dangerous so they can actually get really really big and jump on your head

Um but they can be small as well so these aren’t too bad to deal with where are you oh well there he is no there we go so obviously slime balls are the drop and yeah they’re pretty pretty cool so the next one here is the mother

Spider now if you don’t like spiders you’re not going to like this one because this one ah no so this this one is a really really aggressive spider and as well as being a spider itself it also contains lots of little baby spiders so if i actually transfer into creative mode stop

Attacking me chill yourself so if i actually oh where are they gone where are you mother spider there we go so i’ve actually spawned one of these like so then they’ll have these little spiders in and around them and these little spiders will follow mummy spider

All around like so however you know the little ones won’t attack you until you attack the big one and then in that case they will start you know and trying to swarm you now the cool thing about it it didn’t actually happen that time but what

Happens is when you kill these you get this new item here called a spider egg now you can actually use these spider eggs to hatch yourself a baby spider and then these will be like your little spider pet so these will love you these will follow you around and you’ll also

Get this spider egg shell back as like a little item but yeah you can spot like an army of spiders to follow you around as you can see and they will love you forever until you kill them all there we go so as you can see you can get your own

Little spider army should you wish to do so okay so the final mob that we’re gonna take a look at well what if i told you you were staring at it all along this entire mod spotlight you have been looking right at that mod mob and you have not noticed because

This is the mob now this is called the mimic and what this is is it is a chest that you find underground so this is effectively a trap chest now what it does is when you click on it right click on it it has a 25 chance of just turning into a chest

With luton however it has a 75 chance of turning into this so this is the mimic chest now this will come and he will bite your face off so as you can see it’s really really cool it’s like an aggressive chest and uh yeah these will spawn in and around

Areas that you will normally find a chest so these will be in mine shafts these will be in dungeons these will be in npc villages that kind of thing and you know it’s kind of up to you to find them they do contain loot if you get a good one but these guys

They make a chest noise as well and um yeah let’s actually maybe spawn like a few of them and see if we can actually get there we go see if we can spawn a trap on so let’s grab some mimics mimics one two three four five so trap

Chest trap chest trap chest trap chest trap chest oh no that was rubbish so the odds of you actually fighting a real chest are pretty damn slim oh hang on there we go see as you can see it opened up and then closed again so just normal

Loot inside that one but yeah these are pretty awesome so that is it for this mod spotlight i do hope you guys enjoyed it what a fantastic mod with loads of amazing mobs in both sort of integrating current mobs with a twist and adding some really cool
