Minecraft PRO Builder SMP: #1 – Humble Beginnings [Survival Multiplayer 1.16]

Hello everyone build therapy here and welcome to the first season of the pro builder smp here we are all five of us these are the members that you’ll be seeing in future episodes where we’re going to be focusing mainly on building we might also end up

Completing the game too but we will love building here so that’s going to be the main focus of this series all right three two one let’s go all right so first of all i’m gonna try and find a nice spot to make a base and set up everything

Build therapy is already ahead of me i’m not happy and so is big gardener okay i believe big gardner is in there because he wanted this dark oak forest so i’m gonna have to move along down this way probably so i want to build next to a river or a

Lake of some sort just because my one of my end goals for this is to make like a lakeside village kind of thing just make it look really nice so i want to find maybe an oak forest or somewhere in this spruce forest that there’s like a nice spot like maybe even

Something like this but i don’t like how the biome changes or like this spot this looks really nice i like this it’s nice and flat as well lets me make the terrain how i want it and i actually like how there’s birch on one side

And then spruce even though i i know i just said before that i don’t like it how it changes but it looks nice here let’s get some berries for some food all right so let’s uh let’s start getting our first materials my my first goal is uh iron tools which is pretty basic

And then i’m going to get straight into making my starter base which i’m thinking of making a an underground base maybe kind of like in a in like a cave or i might do one of those bases where it’s got like glass on the on the top and it goes down just because

That looks nicer all right so i might actually make it here clear out all this stuff so i like this spot for now and eventually um i’ll build it up around around this lake around here i guess and um just see how we go from there so let’s start

Um we’ll start getting some stone and then let’s find some iron and we dug straight into an endocyte patch so that’s that’s already a magnificent start come on give me the stone yes that’s what i need okay i’m finally finally the same age all right let’s just get ourselves just some

Basic stone tools for now and then we’ll get some iron i’m already getting very unlucky with uh ores i haven’t found a single piece of coal iron yet so i might actually stop digging here before it gets too deep and i might try and find a spot for like the permanent mine

For now and i might actually make this the permanent mine just because i’ve already started and yeah i’ll make my house maybe over here closer to the water i think it’ll look nicer anyway so let’s um let’s just keep digging here and i’ll uh be back when we find something

All right i can hear water so hopefully there’s a cave down here that would be great for getting all the stuff i need very quickly wait is that is that emerald or gold no that’s gold i’m colorblind so it looks it looks very weird to me i’m used to

Playing with the stay true texture pack but i’m just keeping it vanilla that’s weird like uh literally this is the first all that i’ve seen is gold so i’m gonna have to go back up and maybe do some strip mining or try and find this cave i can hear

It sounds like it’s over this way yes it sounds like we’re getting closer i can hear the water here it is oh mine shaft that’s a very lucky find that will be very helpful so let’s uh start exploring i actually need to make another pickaxe i’m gonna make a little

Station that’s lucky because it’s my last use all right let’s make another pickaxe or two let’s just get everything that we need to get a bunch of coal bunch of iron for now i’m going to grab these rails as well because i like i like using rails in mines

Just makes stuff easier like i eventually plan on having this obviously being wider and i’ll have one one lane for rails and then i can um send a minecart up and down and just use that as extra storage instead of having to go like all the way

Back up to deposit i can just come back down here and there’s our first iron finally only took like 10 minutes all right so that was six i’m just gonna grab a little bit more for all the tools that i need and then we can go back up oh there’s a minecart please

Give me diamonds oh golden apple that’s all right we got some good seeds actually never mind beetroot is not good seeds but we got melons so that might be useful for traders as well you can get emeralds with that oh is that a dungeon that looks like a dungeon

Oh my god okay that’s kind of crazy uh we might have to come back oh i don’t want to die oh my god okay let me block this off and i just need to remember which way i came this way because there’s no rails i think oh no

Uh okay so i’m gonna i’m gonna put like a block on the ground just to mark just to mark where i came from so i think i came from this way no because there was an iron on the ground oh no i’m already i’m already lost okay i think

Oh my god i don’t know where i’m going this is not good where did i come from oh here this is it i found it okay like another block there and yep okay let’s go back up because that’s a really good find i think it was a dungeon with two chests

And there’s a spawner right here so we can literally make a mob grinder like right next to where i want to make my base okay we’re gonna have to stay underground for now that’s fine let’s just go back down to the crafting table so i can make

A furnace let’s actually make maybe two dig out a little area here for our little station not necessarily iron right there perfect it’s just what i needed let’s get our furnaces in and start smelting our iron okay chuck these in uh i need food that’s a bit of a problem i got

Some berries still but once once i guess daytime again i’ll probably make a little starter crop farm okay let’s get some tools going uh i might have enough for some boots as well yeah let’s make some boots okay and i actually want to make some forces as well so that we can um

Pacify that dungeon uh okay let’s make some torches and the plus side of having uh shaders on all the time is we get to have a light emit from our hands which is perfect means i don’t have to use many torches all right so let’s head back to this dungeon

And see if we can sort them out quickly get those torches on there this is a weird dungeon it’s like right in the middle of a of a thing so we got gun powder a bit of wheat that’s nice some string scary disc another golden apple give me some diamonds

Nah coal bones will be useful more string bread okay that’s all right um this is actually a really good spot for a spawner so we’re definitely going to save this for later i’m going to make a little opening here so we can come back let’s actually go to the surface and

Start building our starter base you are kidding me all right craig pickford just uh snuck up on me so now i have to try and find my way back i do not know my coordinates uh but i think i started running this way from spawn once we see the

Dark oak forest we’ll know i’ll know where i’m going that’s it there okay so we just gotta go down this way and we should be able to get back pretty quickly okay here’s that birch forest yes this is this is where i was okay good oh my god there’s so many creepers

Wait this isn’t right okay no it’s just a bit further i think yep i think that’s the same like yep this is it okay just gotta get to the hole there’s a creeper right there that’s not great come on plug that up okay let’s just get my stuff back real quick

Yes there it is okay good all right let’s go back real quick all right so let’s make a start on the base i want to get that done before the end of this episode or at least most of it all that creep is still here okay

I do not want him to blow up my area so let’s try and get him near the water so we can knock him in there okay that’s lucky i need to eat something let’s eat this piece of bread we found and uh let’s actually make a hoe and make

A small little farm i need a bucket okay we’ll just make it by the river here um i threw my seeds out of course i did and we can just get some more seeds all right look at this guy thinks he’s safe under this tree little does he know

He’s dead oh we got another skelly little does he know i’m also a pro gamer as well as a pro builder i probably shouldn’t have actually killed that pig because uh it’d be useful to start an animal farm for some better food but more about that later right now we’ve got some

Got some wheat let’s bone meal this up just make this go like all the way around here for now okay let’s get some bread and then we’ll start on our base which i’m thinking maybe right here just clear out a few trees and um and we’ll make a nice flat spot

Maybe just here make a shovel as well dig this out so uh let’s let’s do that i’m actually really glad i’m in a spruce forest because uh spruce is actually my favorite block so i guess you can already tell what my base is going to be made of

All right so i think this is a good spot for the base i’m just going to outline it now so this is just a starter base so it’s not going to be too big eventually i’m probably just going to get rid of it in favor of actual houses but i’ve

Decided i’m gonna do one of the underground bases with the glass on the top so this is how big i want it which is pretty good i can make more rooms underneath but yeah so let’s just dig up this area we uncovered some more iron that’s actually good make an iron shovel now

But i’ve got no bloody room okay there we go um let’s actually make oh i got a chair i got some chests from that dungeon and the minecarts with chests so let’s make a temporary little storage here just to get rid of some blocks i don’t need at the moment all right let’s

Continue the excavation i’m not sure how deep i want it so i want glass to probably be on this layer here and then at least three blocks so i have room to jump because i just don’t like it being any less than that right i think that’s pretty good um so

Let’s get a floor plan down definitely thinking mainly wood but i would do want to put some stone in there as well just to to add some contrast to all the wood that will be there now i’m thinking i kind of want to i might actually expand it out by one more

All right if you notice that what during it’s dark and it goes day time it’s because we have a plug-in that allows us to only have one person to sleep and then it changes to day time so that’s why time will change randomly see i’m thinking of digging out

Just this layer around here so i can have this wood block going down and it’ll look nice it won’t look too it might look more like a square now it’ll be a little bit circular so i’m actually going to make an iron shovel just to make this process a bit quicker

All right we’ve got iron for our shovel i’m getting attacked this is not the ideal time to build i wonder if i have enough string to make a bed i might so it’s nine string for one piece i don’t have enough okay all right i guess we’re just going

To try and build the night that’s fine uh i didn’t make my shovel let’s wait did i i did i made the shovel i’m losing my mind okay let’s get these walls removed here oh yes i think connor’s going to sleep hopefully it’ll be daytime right now

Please i guess he didn’t sleep okay so the walls are done or dug out let’s bring this wood down here into the corners just like that that looks nice already i like that so it’s gonna i’m gonna have to dig out this again but we’re gonna put wood there

And stone stone bricks probably and i’ll have a really nice looking wall okay time for some more digging uh it looks like the sleep plug-in doesn’t work as big gunner just said so i guess we probably all need to sleep together not not in that way but we need to sleep

At the same time okay that’s all the walls dug out i’m gonna have to get some more more logs and i’ll probably smell some cobblestone as well because i want stone bricks but of course there’s someone guarding my stuff okay good why are there so many creepers

Right there there’s three of them yeah i probably should have gone to that village and gotten a bed oh well as long as i can find some sheep i can just make one instead of having to go back but i actually do really need to set my spawn here

All right i’m just going to make some it’s going to make some furnaces over here instead again this is just temporary so just so i can make some stone okay thankfully it’s going daytime but that doesn’t sort out creeper situation out because they do not burn so we’re going

To have to take these guys head on i think it’s just getting close to the water in case if i screw up because i’m on an american server and i’m from australia there’s a bit of lag when hitting oh my god that was close okay we’re good we’re good

I don’t know where the other two went they’re probably gonna sneak up on me but um we’ll deal with that when the time comes so now i want to lay out the wall design let’s grab a little bit extra stone i’m not sure if i want stone bricks or

Just stone so i might make just make a few stone bricks just for a test thinking of having a border around here probably with wood planks and then i might actually have i might actually do stone bricks for a border okay let’s just change all these to stone bricks

Because i think i’m set on that look what can i reach it from here yes okay and i’m thinking something like this would look pretty cool or not that way oops like that and then we’ll have stuff in there probably do the same on this side

And put chests in here maybe furnaces on this side and then here can be just extra stuff maybe decoration uh so let’s actually do the same on the other side here and i’m gonna cover these sides up with dirt which will eventually change to grass so that way the base actually

It looks smaller than it actually is just fine and then this side we can have it one higher oh that might look weird actually i need to also figure out the entrance i think i might have a staircase going up here like i’ve already done just make it maybe a bit wider

I’m not sure because i want as much space as i can get to be honest on the sides i might actually keep it one one wide but we’ll fill that up we’ll fill this back in with dirt and sort that out later all right let’s start moving our stuff down that way

Get the chest and the crafting table down there and put this in the center just for now and then we already know we want our furnaces here i’m not sure if i like that or not because the the dirt but i think we might eventually

Put some kind of border out there so we can change that all right so let’s get some trapdoors to cover up this area around here and then we can actually get rid of this dirt layer because i really don’t like it yeah so i’m planning on doing and then

I’ll probably have stairs going along this part from here to here and then we’ll have glass on this layer the same layer as the ground let’s just see how it’ll look with stairs because i’m not entirely sure yeah i actually like that i like how it’s kind of slopes upwards

But i’m gonna have to excavate more of this area to do it to this side let’s gather some more wood i’ll get some sand as well while i’m at it just to make the roof okay let’s get everything out of this chest move it down same with these furnaces

And clear out this a bit all right hopefully that’s enough stairs and trap doors that just used all of my wood up i think it should be i think we’ll have a little bit of spare as well it’s good yeah i really like the way that that’s looking uh so let’s

Uh we’ll grab some sand now to get the roof going oh no it looks like we’re running low on coal i might have to go back to the mine real quick and grab some probably should have emptied my inventory before i came down here but oh well and there’s some right here

Sweet let’s just get a whole bunch of this so we have enough to smell anything we need i might even find a bit more than that yep here’s some more all right so we ended up getting 31 coal it’s a nice amount it looks like we got some

We’ve got some problems we need to deal with this keeps melting our sand i actually smelt some more stones because i need probably going to need more what the hell i need to get this roof on real quick it looks like bit gun is already

In the nether this is how the roof is gonna look and that that looks really cool i actually like that it looks really nice all right now we got some spare iron i might actually make make another pickaxe this one’s about to go probably keep that spare

I might change the the layout of these chests actually so we have more space make them go back make them go back like this oh please tell me i grabbed it no it’s in there god damn it of course it was literally the last item

I had to pick up out of all that like that so we can have six double chests instead of just like two double chests and then two single chests he died that’s funny well we actually have some pork i forgot i killed that pig let’s get let’s get some nice food

And we can also get this roof finished now uh i’m gonna have to get some more sand oh no there’s more glass here i forgot about it so the thing is how do i wanna how do i want to connect the entrance up i think i want to put one stair here

And then um maybe even do a ladder i can put a trapdoor here it’s like this or maybe even the other way and then i can have a ladder going down i think i like that more it just makes it’ll make the base look more flush instead of having this part protruding

Out here okay let’s get some ladders on here fill this dirt back in real quick put one dough block here and then we’ll probably make the rest stone blocks for the ladders to sit on okay let’s make some ladders chuck those bad boys on there yes

That looks nice so that way our base is nice and flush with the ground and we just gotta drop down here and we’re nice and safe i actually really like the way this turned out it’s looking really cool let’s get these walls finished off and get everything

Where we want to put it thinking this will probably be the wall with the crafting so let’s outlay this stone brick here all right also now we got these trap doors we can change this and we can actually make it one block higher as well now

So we’ve got more room for extra blocks and stuff that we need like furnaces that’s looking cool we’ve going to replace these back blocks i’ll probably do bruce planks oh that’s going to be a problem with the chest because this only sticks out by one okay

We can just leave that what are we going to do about that actually if i want double chests on the top they’re going to get blocked by this dirt i might have to make the top just single chests for now because then they’ll still be openable i think that will still look good

Yeah we should be fine and the builders s p are all about aesthetics and not efficiency here okay okay once we get this entrance wall done then um should be good for the base for now we just need to fill in this wall and this wall with chests

Eventually we’ll get more blocks to put in there like anvil and and we might even make a secret entrance to a an enchanting area once we get that okay we should have enough wood now to finish off this wall actually we’re gonna have to put stairs there that looks nicer anyway

I like that get those stone bricks in the only annoying thing is that this block here is gonna have to stay dirt but it’s fine you won’t see it most of the time but for now that’s um the base done other than the floor uh but we’ll finish that in the next

Episode so i hope you enjoyed this first episode we got the base down we got a bit of a mine going we’ve got a spawner really close which i’m really happy about we can make a nice spawner that brings the mobs up to the surface

And we can just kill them for xp and enchant our tools really easily and that’s actually like the perfect plan that i want eventually i want to make also a semi-auto crop farm similar to the tutorial that i’ve already made already on my channel but probably make it bigger because
