Okay I want to show you how to make minecraft work in ad hoc mode so you both want to have your own accounts in your own copy of Minecraft so in the scenario like this I’ve got my two sons that will want to play minecraft like When we’re travelling in the car or we go somewhere that doesn’t have internet they still want to play so what you can do is make sure first that you’re on the same channel so in settings here you want to go to your network to your Wi-Fi Settings scroll all the way down to ad hoc mode here click that make sure you’re on the same Channel automatic is fine automatic just means that if they’re both set on automatic basically they’ll find each other automatically but you may want to have a channel Selected if you’re in a room full of a lot of people playing on a Vita and you just want to make sure that you’re on your own channel so with that done go ahead and go to the game go ahead and start the game I’m both script started On both consoles okay and then you can just choose one either one and you’re going to set the ad-hoc mode on the very first screen that shows up Well this is awkward Alright so here we go it’s gonna try to connect to the PlayStation Network it’s gonna have trouble because there’s no internet that’s okay it okay I’ll hit okay on the other one too sure we’re okay and then okay here of course okay this is the screen where the magic happens You’ve got here in the corner you’ve got change network mode and it’s showing the square so you go to the square button okay this one here you’re going to hit the square button and then right here you’re going to select ad hoc network boom like this okay then you’re gonna do The same on the other okay mode ad hoc okay then hit play game here you also choose ad hoc boom okay play game ad hoc it’s gonna tell you ad hoc say okay so now you just decide whose world you want to go into whether it’s this person’s world or this Person’s world okay and you just load that world and when you load the world the other person’s join will start to blink see so that person can now join your world by clicking here I hit X there okay join game yes so now they’re joining and now we’ve got two people in the same world with no internet access that’s how it’s done Video Information

Instructions for how to set up your PS Vita Minecraft game to play 2-players in “ad hoc mode” (without wifi internet access). In this scenario, we are using two accounts with two game purchases. Keep in mind that ad hoc mode only works in close proximity (players must be within about 30 feet of each other).
