Minecraft: Sethbling’s Redstone Challenge – Level 12 – 19

Hey you guys and for them here and welcome back to another minecraft video and this is seth bling’s redstone challenge episode two and if you guys didn’t catch the first episode i did levels 1 through 11 and basically what this whole course is this is a course where there are different redstone

Challenges that you have to do and uh that you have to like glitch out the redstone in order to make this challenge work so yeah um and basically the idea is to just make it so that that door opens on the other side so definitely check out

The first episode if you have not already so anyways moving on to level 12 here we have two levers uh i thought i was gonna know how to solve this like when i first saw the first video i thought i thought i knew i was i knew

How i was gonna need to solve this but apparently i do not or maybe i do not sure let’s see here okay so that turns off the redstone on that side but this is still blocked okay so what i need to do is i need to unblock this middle line first

So let’s see if i can do this here hopefully it doesn’t require like stupidly glitching out the redstone or something but anyways so this is blocked by this right here i think this is like the pro the mind the mindset that they want me in like the idea is that that’s blocked

Wait a minute wait a minute wait a minute so maybe i can do that um yeah i think i okay so doing that turns that on and then if i do this it locks that on so i need to progress this signal so there we go so that so now that moves

That signal so now so this signal is locked on so this one’s locked off but i still need to turn this line off right here which means i need to i believe do that i can get rid of this now because this line is locked on

And i need to get rid of that which unlocks this line which i believe let’s see here turns us on but now these are both being locked on the sides so let’s see let’s see what i can do here uh okay that power that keeps that powered off i’m trying to remember if

This needs to remain powered on but i need to power that off now to allow that to go through so what i need to do here i think i need to do that wow okay that wasn’t too hard at all it was just very basic understanding of redstone locking so we

Are through challenge number 12. oh god challenge 13 what is this here one button and a hints okay and i need to do this on pistol mode because i’m not on piece of mode all right so let’s see here so what we need to do here is obviously

We need to make it so that this does not receive any ticks or res or hmm let’s see here maybe do i need to lock one of these on or do i need to somehow lock one of these off okay let’s see here let’s try that one

Let’s see let’s see what this does by spamming the button man this is really really confusing all right i’m gonna take a look at hint number two use the button to sync up clock with its neighbors until all clocks are relatively in sync oh i get it

Oh my god why didn’t i think of that yep now those yep those two are in sync oh my god how did i not think of that so so i need to hit the button i think just as the ones to the right of it turn off like okay so just before

That one on the right turns off so now yeah so now they’re relatively in sync oh my god i can’t believe i didn’t think of that so that’s in sync so what about this one okay this one’s completely opposite so now yep there we go wow i can’t believe that one

I can’t believe i didn’t think of that one all right so we’re moving on here that was very very tricky okay i actually want to like stop that now door you need to die okay door you need to die ah all right well i’m gonna hear that i guess

So now i have 10 pieces of redstone and then wait oh i lost the redstone because i went back through the door all right game mode c all right at least he allows me to do that but i don’t have the hints so that so that’s kind of crappy so hopefully i

Can solve this stage all right so we got a clock here and we got a block that needs to get moved so obviously i think let’s see here so we need to do okay so that block is moving now i think i need to oh the clock’s not quite moving the way

I need it to here let’s see here so these are moving totally opposite of each other so i think yep that’s what i had to do so i could pull that in this one’s actually fairly easy i think okay so let’s do that so that’ll move that out

Oh crap i’m still on creative mode here let’s make sure i’m not using too many pieces actually let’s destroy all the pieces of redstone here so i don’t use too many game mode s so one two three four five six so i wasn’t using too many so that’s not too

Big of a deal so then there’s this one okay so now this one’s a very easy one actually you just gotta abuse the timing on this so it so it’s only active for a tick hmm looks like there might be a delay on this one that’s preventing that one tick thing from happening

Hmm maybe i need to loop the redstone into itself or something like that okay so i’m using all pieces all 10 pieces right now oh there we go i got it all right cool good enough i pretty much had the idea from the get-go so that was good all right so now

With this one so we got the hints we got two blocks we have two pieces of redstone and two pieces of uh two redstone torches okay so this one looks like it’s gonna be very complex it looks like it has to do with pushing these gold blocks

Uh in order it looks like so let’s see here so okay so i need to move these pistons in the way oh god this is this one’s just this one’s just cruel it looks like okay so ah crap okay there we go so that grabs that one

Which pushes that one in the way so now let’s try this so that powers that so that pushes that piston i’m not sure if those are sticky pistons that are actually pulling things so let’s let’s see what’s going on with those so no those are regular everyday run-of-the-mill pistons which means i oh

God this is going to be this is just going to be time-consuming i think so basically i need to push this piston right here which is going to involve let’s see where does that receive power from i’m trying to see where it receives power from so it receives power from that

Block right there which means i am going to have to i think what power this one do i have to get those to switch or something hmm let’s see here okay there we go i got that to switch that way so now that’s switched using the redstone timing glitch

And then let’s see here so i need to do i need to get that okay so there we go so that’s pushed so i think i just need to flip flop that around until these get in the way oh god but i’m what ah but they’re like

One off from each other so i can’t line them up properly which i think i think i know what i’m gonna have to do in that case so we’ll see all right so now i need to reverse this fl the system so i think i can just let’s see here so let’s do

Okay so that puts it in the middle and that takes that one so now we’ll put this one right here there we go so that pushes that one on the way so again now i just need to reverse it one more time so let’s do there we go that flips that over

Let’s do this so that pushes that in line so now that one’s in line so i guess all i have to do now is just push this next one oh wait a minute this could wind oh god this could screw me over in so many ways though

Um crap oh no no it can’t i don’t think it can actually um so now let’s let’s do this yeah see that’s what i’m gonna have to do afterwards is just play with that so now i have to adjust this so that pushes that block in the way so now

All i have to do is i just have to toy with this there we go that’s all i had to do so that one wasn’t too hard at all actually so it’s just just tedious work tedious work level 16 three levers level 16 solution i wonder how many more there

Are after this i’m actually just a little bit curious gmc game mode c how many more are there after this there are one it’s this one the next one next one a massive one and then either a finale or a finishing room so this is going to be scary game mode s right

So so let’s see here i have three levers let’s take a look at the end here and it looks like it looks like uh these two have to drop their redstone signals which means this piston looks like this piston right here has to get extended and it looks like this

Piston right here has to get extended but how do i go about extending these pistons well that is a good question so let’s see here oh okay so it has to do with the length of how far redstone travels so uh let’s see so that one that’s not quite

Working the way i want it to uh oh i can inter i can actually interact with them right here okay so i can’t so that doesn’t do anything uh works with bud switches that’s how this is working so now that’s gonna turn let’s see here so that piston pushed forward so now

Let’s see here no i didn’t that ain’t gonna do it okay so now that one’s like i think permanently pushed forward no okay let’s see here so how can i get how can i get this one pushed i think what i need to do is i need to have this one right here

And then i need to have this one get bud switched or whatever so oh wait okay did that push that oh that pushed that one forward i think that was a little bit of an accident but it kind of worked but now i need to get this one unpowered so the one

I believe if it has power it will act like a bud switch so let’s go ahead let’s do this now okay now let’s switch this ah but it moved that one back i i did the total opposite effect of what i wanted to do all right hang on let’s try on the left

Side here let’s let’s let’s go from the left because i think i might have a little bit of an easier time with that one so this torch is going to go right there which is going to power all the way to the end so this one needs to be

Receiving power and that one needs to be receiving power so that’s going to push both of both of those out and now i think let’s see here hmm not sure so that depowers that but both of those are still pushed out all three three of these are pushed out that’s weird all

Right so this one is the one that i need to have pushed out this one i don’t have to have pushed out so i think oh god i’m trying to remember is if it’s receiving power is that the one that moves i’m not sure i just i just can’t remember no okay

If it’s not receiving power that’s what makes this so tricky is because oh wait a minute yeah okay there we go uh now i can’t remember exactly how the way i had it here so now let’s try like switching these two around or something let’s just try getting those two to flip

See if we can just kind of make this work the way we want it to so now let’s move this one right here so now these three are out so how do i make it so that only this one retracts this is the only one i want retracting right now so

Let’s try that well that didn’t quite work let’s try that again no yeah see the only one that’s pushing right now is that one maybe that will power the one the way i’m thinking i’m not sure no it’s not doing it the way i’m thinking wait a minute what just happened it worked

Okay then i guess the block update detector works when you place the switch right there so that worked so i got those to move the way that i wanted to and now the door is open all right moving on to challenge 17 well level 17. so this one

This one this one i oh how am i gonna get this pushed oh i’ve seen things like this before okay okay okay now i need to make it let’s see here so these are all losing power at this at the same oh god at this at the same time here so

I have two pieces of red of redstone here why do i have two or maybe it’s like really simple like maybe i do just oh wait a minute spamming it spamming it does work it looks like because i thought i saw that move just a little bit

Oh wait a minute maybe it has oh my god i don’t know but it’s working yeah okay so i have to do i have to very carefully plan this here so then i have that that set down and then i quickly switch them out and now

This piston is pulling on that one so it did just involve spamming it but spamming it the right way so now i place this one here so it pushes that one out and then i very quickly do this which i think is acting like a t flip-flop

I think sethling will probably say i’m right on that one so then we do this and then quickly do it again and that switches it out and then there we go bam doors open so basically you had to make like an in like a weird t flip-flop pattern with that all right

So i think this is the last of the small rooms and then we have a massive room coming up here so basically this piston needs to go into there which means this line needs to get powered on which means this block needs to get pressed into place which

Means this block needs to get pressed there and i think this needs to have the bud switch effect but that’s not going to happen because of this because of that okay so let’s see here let’s see let’s see let’s see okay so that’s that’s doing the bud switch effect

Okay so let’s see how long that’s going to be receiving power for so i need to i think i need to switch it really quick when the power turns off so on okay ah crap that did not work all right so let’s see here i think i know what’s gonna happen i

Think i’m actually quite sure what i need to do here i think i had it from the get-go so i need to i need to basically anticipate when that’s going to turn on so now okay punch it out nope that didn’t work i was too slow i was improperly timed

Okay oh no okay wait a minute maybe it doesn’t matter at all there we go so that moved so now that i’m not sure if that’s stuck on yep okay it does look like it is uh no it’s not okay so that reacts so oh god this one’s gonna

Be see i could have gotten that if i had just placed the switch right there right after so yeah this one shouldn’t be too difficult at all so let’s wait until this one is let’s let’s wait until the lake is ready to turn off

So we’ll do that oh no too soon okay so do that okay then we’ll do this ah crap i screwed that one up again i would have had that all right again this is not hard okay so let’s place that there okay we’ll do super quickly yeah that that one was incredibly easy

Oh god this is a big room i see redstone at the end though and then there’s a little congrats sign so i think this is the finale room actually so level 19. all right so let’s see here so all right this one i sense trickiness i sense incredible trickiness um let’s see here

That powers up that power is like everything if i do that so powering everything is not exactly what i’m looking for and plus okay do i need to like lock this at all or anything no hmm let’s see here so i think i need to very carefully place down three three torches that

Perfectly turn like the lines on and off the way that they need to be turned on and off hmm wow okay this one is definitely some trickiness so this one’s on off off off on and then let’s see here so let’s place one there the signal reaches doesn’t reach there

Does reach there doesn’t reach there which is not what i need i need it to reach all of those so let’s try that so now the signal reaches all three of these so that turns all of those off so now i need it to turn off just that one

And then i also need it to turn off let’s see here so that reaches reaches reaches doesn’t reach which is exactly what i needed to do i need those three to reach and then that one not to reach so now i need to turn off just that one so let’s see here

All right hang on so does this one reach yet no that one still doesn’t reach so let’s place this one one closer so now that one reaches okay so now this entire line is off looks like this entire line is off so now i just

Need to do whatever i just did on the other side so which is place that one perfectly so that just this torch turns off which means i’m going to be placing this at like the far end and that opens the door on the other side this is actually

One of the easier puzzles it was just about the distance of redstone oh god there’s one more ah okay level 20 build your own puzzle oh god okay wow um can i make it very easy or i’m wait a minute how can i go about doing this can i break the glass

Yeah it looks like i can break the glass um actually i’m going to go ahead and i’m going to save this for the next episode in the next episode the final episode we will create our own puzzle i don’t want to feel like i’m going to rush it in

This episode because i would rush it but i feel like leave your suggestions what do you guys want to see me build what objects here that you see do you want to see me build i have i have mine carts maybe i could like build the last one

And then put it up for download or something which i’m not gonna do like right now or anything but i have sticky pistons i have powered rails i have buttons i have mine carts i have signs i have everything we are effectively done with this at this point i mean at this
