Stay till the end of the video for my Vanilla Plus mod’s first mob vote announcement. Minecraft Story Mode, a mixed game in the eyes of Minecraft fans, some people like it, some people don’t. Now, I enjoyed the concept of the Wither Storm, The kind of constant looming threat with the heroes on a time limit to save everything, so after the Wither Storm was defeated, I personally got a little bored with it. Telltale and Mojang were quick to stress upon this game’s release that it isn’t part Of the “Official Story of Minecraft”, more so gesturing to the main game and the other games it’s connected to lore-wise. I think that this could technically be the case, but there’s something else that we could take into consideration with this game’s canonicity. A widely known episode for Story Mode is “A Portal to Mystery”, the murder mystery episode where the majority of the characters are Minecraft YouTubers, voicing themselves. Now they could’ve just had them as the character they portray, but one line that captain sparkles Uttered made me think about this. Followed up with utter confusion from the main characters and the fact that this place is accessed via a portal, I think these portals may be inter-timeline and not interdimensional as they usually are. So, in a sense, no, Story Mode isn’t canon to the main game and its related games, but could still be lightly connected through the concept of these portals. Now imagine, what would the game be like if we had Story Mode Content? What could that bring to Vanilla? Apart from the obvious and extremely popular Wither Storm, destroying everything in it’s path. You could get command block tools and sword instead of netherite, adding an extra tier. A lot more armour could bring more variety To combat, as well as sets like the Enderman costume which makes Endermen not care about you looking at them. Entities like Romeo the Admin could be formidable foes or could give the player other abilities for end-game content. This could include more golem types like, the Icy Golem and the Magma Golem, Which don’t really have unique designs. Even the Icy Ender Creeper- The Prismarine Colossus could work really well as a boss, possibly being underneath Monuments or in their own unique underwater dungeon. The White Pumpkin worn by the villain of the Same name, apart from being a cool costume piece, could be used to create stronger golems like- No, we can’t show them yet. Other mobs in rarer areas and structures could be way more terrifying, like the spider/creeper hybrid monsters. Creeder, it’s named Creeder. Even the Farlands which are a Legend among Minecraft players now, adding it as a rare findable place with distorted mobs could pose a new threat and a new landscape to get used to scaling. If not in the Overworld, there could be a variant within the Nether, Being connected to the floor and roof, which would make a lot of sense. I like the idea of more Ghast variants like the giant 3-headed Ghast, or the Giant Magma Golem as more bosses for the Nether within that Farlands biome. Other things like the Enchanted Flint and Steel could be cool to use as weapons, instead of shooting the flame upwards it could make a small burst of fire, burning mobs within a few-block radius. The Gauntlet could even be a new form of weapon, Or something to even add onto any other weapon’s damage, slowing the attack speed down a lot. We could have coloured redstone lamps, more variance in lighting, more mob heads to give more mob masks and as things for players to collect as trophies. I like the idea of the fourth wall tying into the story elements, with the Admins being the strongest entities, having full control over the world, mobs and more. The fact that the command block and structure block get used in unique ways like machinery Or magic, seen as otherworldly objects, it makes sense in having the Witherstorm mindlessly follow the amulet like an AI. I feel like if they were to add everything from Story Mode, like the spawn eggs, they should stay inaccessible to survival. Probably the same for command blocks and structure blocks, maybe they could be fused into weapons to give them extra abilities or make them stronger, giving unique abilities that reward the player based on how much effort they put into getting the resources necessary. While I’m on the topic, I’ve made it clear that I don’t like how a lot of the unique mobs are just retextured mobs, so I’m going to redesign their models in this video, adding one to my upcoming Vanilla plus mod in the future. Why one you might ask? That’s because all three of these mobs will be part of their own mob vote for my mod when it’s showcased for the first time. When this video comes out, at the same time there will be a poll on the community tab, you can vote there! There will be 3 days till I confirm the winner, remember, I might not add the losing mobs into the mod. If I do, they’ll be added a while down the line, some time later to make this mob vote count. First off, we have the Icy Golem, which we’re Now renaming to the Ice Brick Golem, so it’s not just a slightly icy iron golem body, mostly made of ice, with snowy hands and feet. Ice Bricks would be used to make this golem, using the White Pumpkin to bring it to life, they can be crafted by mixing 2 packed and 2 Blue ice blocks, making 4 ice brick blocks. These blocks will be in the mod regardless. You can switch this golem between two modes, attack mode or capture mode. Upon targeting a small creature when the Golem is in capture mode, the Golem will Proceed to pick the target up to incase them in it’s back, allowing for easy transport, but if the mob is too strong or produces heat, like a Blaze, the Golem will perish instantly. The Creeder, now called the Scorch-born Creeper, lives in the Nether Wastes, Crawling along the walls and rooves, being able to detach and explode without warning, but they are extremely slow, punishing unobservant players. If defeated, it drops primed gunpowder, the player can tip their arrows with it to give it explosive damage, Creating a small explosion that hurts enemies. If the player doesn’t use it to tip their arrows, a special item can be crafted with Fermented Spider Eyes, Nether Wart and the Primed Gunpowder, they can use it to pacify Scorch-born Creepers, being able to have explosive defences. This might have some different effects on other related mobs outside of the Nether. The Giant Ghast, which we’ll be naming the Ghast Cluster, is a mini-boss that protects the Ghast Hives, a giant version of the already planned Ghast Nests which include more budding Glowstone, as a way to farm it. The Ghast Cluster drops a tougher more leathery Ghast skin, surrounding 8 of these around a saddle in the crafting table allows the player to saddle a Ghast, this saddle will fuse into the Ghast’s back, letting the player glide through the Nether atop this pacified floating marshmallow. The taming process will remove its ability to fire explosive fireballs. If the tamed Ghast leaves the Nether, it will disintegrate instantly, so it won’t be able to be ridden outside of the Nether. Finally, we have the Magma Golem, I don’t really know what this one could do and it’s not really part of the mob vote, I just wanted to redesign it, if someone comes up with a cool idea I might implement it into the mod. As a bit of an update for the Vanilla Plus Mod I’ve been slowly working on, the mod is getting really time-consuming to develop, even getting me to miss out on releasing a video. I don’t want the quality of the mod to be half-assed, so once I get enough money from my videos I’ll be paying people who Actually have the experience to help make this mod the best it can be. So when we grow bigger, all money I make from YouTube will go right towards the mod. But I will still be modelling, planning and adding what I can, without decreasing the Quality of the mod due to my inexperience. One last thing, I’ve started to make more videos for the second channel, I’d really appreciate it if you took a look at the content I have to offer there. Like this upcoming video where a friend and I avoid the Wither Storm. Thank you for watching! There’s not much lore or content to be had within Minecraft Story mode that actually affects the main game, I just found it interesting that the whole implication existed. I enjoyed making this video and I’m wondering how many of you are only now Hearing about the mod, I’ve been posting regular updates on my community tab. I have so much planned for the Vanilla Plus mod, I haven’t even revealed most of it, because when it’s closer to being finished I wanna show you all as a major reveal. If you haven’t already, consider liking and subscribing, because it really helps me grow the channel. If you haven’t voted already, go vote, I wanna learn firsthand how to make these mob votes equal. Once again, thank you for watching and have a good day or night. Video Information
