Minecraft: Stronghold Exploration End Portal [47] – 1.16.4 Let’s Play

Hey guys welcome back to icraftmc in the last video we used some of our ender pearls and actually found the stronghold in this world so in this video we’re going to explore the stronghold before we do that we’re just going to make our banner of the day

Now this banner starts with a red banner and the first pattern is with white dye the first pattern is the um white inverted chevron then we’re going to go on to a red lozenge and a red lozenge kind of looks like this then we’re going to go on to a white bend sinister

Which looks like i think it’s this one you got white ben sinister now we have a good seven but that’s not what we’re really going for now we’re going to go on to a red poly which looks like that and you might be able to already tell what this is

Then we’re going to go on to a red indented border which is this one and then we’re going to go and finish it off just make it look a little bit nicer with this red border and as you can see it’s a candy cane well you can’t see it very well but i’ll

Put it up and then you can see it and yeah with the uh this candy cane banner there is a christmas banner if you want to decorate for christmas that way also it looks like there’s a wandering trader here we’ll see what he’s selling real quick uh oh

Actually acacia saplings i’m gonna grab some emeralds real quick since we don’t actually have any acacia trees uh right now so just see if we have some emeralds down here real quick and we can probably grab probably just maybe two or three maybe just two saplings i don’t think we should

Spend too many emeralds on those but it could definitely save us uh an exploration trip uh to try and find a savannah if we do that real quick let’s see uh here we go i’ll just buy two acacia saplings thank you very much and i’ll leave your llamas for now i will

Spare your llamas okay and now we’re going to yeah go through the nether portal uh tunnel we made and we’ll go to the um to the stronghold so i’ll just throw these saplings in this randoms chest here and i do believe we should be

Ready to go on our way so we’ll just hop in here and yeah and that up if you didn’t watch the last episode we went exploring found the uh the stronghold and then made this tunnel to and from it so we’re just gonna go on this rather dangerous nether

Tunnel but it should be fine and then yeah just keep going this way and hopefully we’ll get to the strong hold here in just a little bit it wasn’t actually that far away maybe only about one thousand five hundred blocks or something like that oh yeah we picked up some of those and

Uh you always have to just keep going along here and we should uh get there pretty quickly i might end up making a minecart track in the nether here eventually but i think for now this should be fine looks like we’re up to a warped forest now

I guess we just walk across the warped forest and yeah it’s made this with torches and things yeah here we go it’s right here that should be perfect so we’ll head through here and this should go right to the to the stronghold we really haven’t explored this at all because uh he will

Be doing this in this episode so i’ll just get my torches equipped and oh drop those backs and get my torches equipped there and i guess just start by looking down here so let’s see what we have through here it looks like there is oh

No looks like there was a fire and it burnt down the library that’s horrible that’s like one of the best rooms in the entire stronghold that’s really unfortunate um i’ve never seen that this lava lake what level are we at we’re at level 11 wow this is a really low library wow that’s

Really too bad it burned down most of these books since that’s a really valuable thing let’s see which one of these is silk touch we can hopefully save some of these that’s funny never seen that happen before anyway i guess uh it’s quite oh my goodness fire protection for now that’s

Actually super ironic that you’d have fire protection for in the library that just burned down that’s really funny it wasn’t so sad that we lost these books let’s just grab some of these real quick so we can um build up here see what’s in this chest

Since usually we’d crawl up but we can’t really because yeah the library burned down i’ve never seen that happen that’s so funny uh looks like there’s just a map and some paper in here that’s too bad well i guess we can probably grab some of this later we can probably

Get some of it now we’ll just grab these i believe is this the silk touch yeah that’s the silk touch i would break it with my axe but uh we don’t really have time uh we don’t really i don’t have the silk touch on there so it wouldn’t work correctly

But uh yeah that’s funny go in there the whole thing is burning down yeah this must be super low or is this right now this is uh level seven wow it’s like bedrock must just be like yeah right down there wow super low strong hold i guess

So just grab these cobwebs these could go useful i was thinking throwing some of them up in my attic when we end up decorating that since um you know addicts are usually kind of dirty and needing to be uh needing to be cleaned so that would work

Maybe we can just grab the rest of these grab that that is funny though the fire protection four book and the uh the library that just turned down so i guess we’ll just i guess that book didn’t help the library at all but hopefully it’ll help us if we apply it to

One of our pieces of armor i’ll just grab a few more of these probably won’t grab all of them but uh i might there’s no point not leaving them you know we might not find this part of the stronghold again and i’m hoping we can find

Where the portal is soon because then we can move the nether portal to that area since that’s kind of the main part of the stronghold that you really want to come back to again and again is the is the portal and we actually have 16

Eyes of ender with us so we can totally fill up the portal no matter how many of the eyes are there or not there and although it’s i think it’s something around one in a trillion chance it’s always fun to go to the stronghold since there’s always that one

In a trillion chance that your seed is one of the seeds that has the stronghold portal fully filled in and if you don’t know what i’m talking about the um the end portal has these eyes of enter you have to add to them but there’s a 10

Chance for each one of the 12 parts of the portal to already be filled in but all together that makes something like a one trillion percent chance that they’d all be filled in and people actually have found seeds where everyone is filled in i think they’ve only found one or two of

Them though but uh yeah we just wonder if this is one of those seeds and so just keep breaking these uh library books here and um yeah grab this cobweb i suppose see if there’s any more books a few more books up there i think we did looking yeah we

Did look in that chest okay that’s good for this library now we can probably go back here again if we want more books we did get 30 that’s pretty good this didn’t bring down all the books all right so that’s also remember we don’t we shouldn’t go down there again

Unless we want to go to the library uh it doesn’t look like there’s anything up here no not really all right we could look this way actually i think that’s the staircase yeah that’s the staircase that’s the beginning of the stronghold now if we go this way and go through here

Looks like there’s uh something through here dead end let’s see what’s this way uh it doesn’t look like there’s too much see i don’t want to get lost here it looks like this goes on a circle that’s good to know this goes over here okay that’s dead end

Um i should actually get some blocks and just block off anything that’s a dead end like this it’ll just make it so that we don’t get lost as easy see if this goes in there if this is just a dead end too looks like it goes

Like that and then up through here over here i can’t believe how uh pig these some of these uh strongholds really do get looks okay that’s a dead end so if that’s a dead end that’s a dead end if because if all these tunnels just lead to dead ends right we can just

Uh not go down them again let’s break through the door here i guess that just goes in a circle like that which means that all that is a dead end and that would mean that we can then block it off here and all that’s a dead end too so

Let’s see it’s through here uh yeah it’s always just good when you’re exploring a stronghold to explore this where you can just get lost quite easily let’s see what’s through here okay i hear a mob they’re just a zombie but uh still important to be aware of it’s too bad because strongholds are

Quite nice looking structures but they’re always interrupted by caves and things so they never perfectly generated in i’ve never found one that’s perfectly generated in any ways there’s some mushrooms here okay again i think don’t really think any of this stuff goes anywhere see if that goes somewhere it goes in a circle

And this thing is such a maze it’s kind of fun though i always love these things and yeah it’s too bad it’s not under our base it’s pretty cool to have one of these under your base because you can just turn it like your entire basement into what the stronghold is

If we go up here maybe we can oh that’s the dumb block to pile up with okay looks like i still fell down looks like there’s a staircase here hopefully we can go up here and possibly will be what we’re looking for okay here is a

I think they call these fountains if we go up here we get some blocks to pile up with hopefully there’s not a creeper up here but uh we can probably try and defend ourselves if there is okay looks like there’s a ravine this is in let’s see what’s in here

Uh coal well that’s probably not the most useful chest but uh yeah it does i’m not gonna go over there right now i don’t think just go over here maybe eat some of our baked potato again oh it looks like there is this chest here now these are really good they can have

Really good stuff in them and something i hope we can eventually get in this world this isn’t super good but that’s okay um something i hope we can eventually get in this world is an enchanted golden apple because there’s a really cool banner pattern you can get with those

Which could end up proving very useful since our series has the banners in it one zombie but i think i hear two zombies let’s see it’s through here it looks like i’m out of torches i i brought three stat or four stacks though so we should be

Good overall so we’ve been there before and been here okay guess we’ll try going back here there’s a skeleton let’s get rid of the skeleton and yeah these things are really like big mazes i’m sure there’s some really fun mini games you could make with uh

These okay there is a creeper and if we just get that creeper to blow up actually that might be useful okay let’s see if we can escape out of this one alive uh probably it’s not too bad actually if we just hit the creeper run back i do

We do i do believe we have knockback oh look at that we caught a music disc i was hoping we would because uh the re how he got that if i can kill these without dying um is basically how good of a bow is that and that’s not good at all

Um basically what you do is you have a skeleton kill a creeper um it doesn’t have to kill it all the way just like one of the hits like it did there and then it’ll always drop one of the i think there’s 14 music discs although one of them you can only get

Through uh in the nether i believe so let’s go through here let’s see what’s in here i’m surprised we actually haven’t found the portal yet it’s usually easier to find this is actually a pretty well preserved stronghold oftentimes these things that’s a big circle we oftentimes these things will get interrupted much more

Than this one has i mean maybe we could always harvest some of the mossy stone from here if we really wanted to but i kind of like this one here that’s the jail entrance i guess so let’s have to go places we haven’t been to maybe

Over here i believe there was some areas we haven’t been to over here yeah there’s a jail that’s pretty cool anything through there uh no not really just keeps going the same direction let me just keep going here all right really a big big big structures these things are and like

If you ever see one from like um like just the whole thing at once it’s just very huge so let’s see if we what’s down here looks like there’s a staircase and i don’t think i’ve been here since i’ve lit it up there’s lava there again that’s

Oh no that’s that’s kind of like a glitch generation there because that shouldn’t i shouldn’t generate like that that’s quite interesting i know i haven’t been here uh let’s go through here i guess oh slammed in my face of course iron doors kind of always do go around here

Looks like another staircase well hopefully this will lead somewhere more interesting doesn’t look like it does same places we’ve been before i guess uh there should be something through here even these are kind of cool like these kind of iron support things okay put that in probably start marking off what’s dead

Ends again um that all goes in a circle so we can mark off this dead end actually second circle too uh no so i’ll just mark it off as of here okay we’ll go around here i guess and uh looks like i saw something down one of these cave interruptions

Looked like it was more of a stronghold we hadn’t been to actually i think that’s where we are right now is that what i did seem have we been over here ah not sure i know these things always do generate with the portal so we don’t

Have to worry about not finding one of those we just probably not in the right area for it see it doesn’t look good down here all right there we go uh could be up here possibly not actually exactly sure where it’s gonna be um let’s see if we can get back to where

Our portal was that might end up being quite useful looks like some gold there we’ll grab that later oh yeah here we go here’s a new place we haven’t been to yet so it’s good probably just a big circle though yep just a big circle again it’s

Kind of funny how it keeps doing that see what’s over here uh okay i think we’re getting back to where we want it to be there’s those we couldn’t pick up yeah i think we’re definitely keep going this way i think i think i know where we are

Now if we go around here okay yeah because i blocked that one up that means there’s nothing there nothing here or here either i’ll just block this one up and does anything through this door here no there’s not i don’t think so okay um it could be over here

See have we gone down this way uh no we have not okay oh and there’s another one of these uh this is probably the area that has the the portal i would think since we’ve explored most of what i think the rest of this thing is let’s see what’s in all

These loot chests okay nothing super good let’s just throw everything we do not need in here since we don’t want to clog up our inventory with kind of unused garbage uh we don’t need all that for now anyway we can always grab that later let’s see what’s over here it doesn’t

Look like anything okay looks like there’s a bunch of mobs there i’ll just close the door on them take them some time to break through here all right here’s a chest and i just realized there’s also a chest back there i don’t think we looked and so i better

Go before we keep going this way i’ll probably just go back there real quick and i think i remember seeing yeah here we go here’s one of two of these in a row actually oh my goodness two diamonds that’s really good um that’s perfect it’s always good to

Get more diamonds in these things all right oh and ender pearl okay that could be very useful um would be more useful if it was before we came here but uh still quite useful this generated very strangely i’m wondering if the portal is on the other side of the serving or

Where it is i’m not sure i’ll look on this side of the ravine first hopefully it is over here see if we looked in here uh yeah we did probably should break those chests i’ve looked in actually or i’ll get very confused all right i don’t think there’s anything

Up there doesn’t look like it all right um so there’s a chest up there we can certainly look in that that could certainly have something quite good in it although i’m not sure it might have nothing uh let’s see if we break some of these

Oh it looks like there is a silver fish just to kill that real quick perfect looks like there’s another silverfish block ground here too and again if you don’t know what a silverfish is uh fishes are kind of these strange i think they’re called arthropods but

They’re one of the uh mobs that are under the bane of arthropods achievement or um enchantment but basically they’re just these annoying little kind of fish kind of like a fish that loud sound i think was a zombie breaking on a door okay let’s see if there’s anything in here

It doesn’t look like it let’s see what’s the portal’s over here here a zombie that could be good since we lit up everywhere where we haven’t already been hmm and if there’s anything uh up here and there’s a zombie we already went up here i think yeah if we go over here

Kill this let’s see really see anything all right take a look over here i suppose uh looks like there was something up there i’m not sure if it was just nothing or what it was yeah here we go i guess we can if we just throw away

Actually so we can throw away we can throw one piece of bread we do not need that we can also stack those potatoes if we can just grab this gold why not i think eight gold is probably not worth just leaving behind probably leave the iron

For now we can always grab that one later um okay let’s take a good look and see if we see these leading anywhere it looks like there is something that leads all over there so i’m thinking that might be our our best bet for where the portal is so

Here’s some lapis it could also be diamonds here i suppose oh it sounds like there’s a skeleton also feels like there is by the pain it looks like there’s a bit of an ambush here thankfully uh that loud sound which is very shocking is a zombie hitting on the door

Man i hate that sound okay anyway it does look like okay it does look like this could be an area this hasn’t been lit up at all let’s go up here uh let’s see if we can get up here these are kind of tricky staircases

Okay we have been up there so i’m just not even gonna look it’s gonna look only in the places where i think we uh haven’t been already and i know we haven’t been up here let’s see we have been in here okay there’s this dumb silverfish

What can we build with build a stone let’s see if we can grab some stone there we go perfect so we’ll just uh yeah put this in here see okay there’s that zombie that broke the door we’ll just um go through here okay it looks like there’s an empty

Door here uh something could be under there and i think we were just from under there so here we are on the other side i’ll probably take keep looking over here since there could definitely be something we missed right over here and uh if we just look through the door here

Let’s see might be over here um i’m not sure so it’s through here certainly expansive stronghold i really am surprised we haven’t found the portal yet since usually i’d say it’s a little bit easier to find and uh you know we haven’t been here could be here could be here yes okay

This is an unexplored area now that’s good news because um if we’re trying to find the stronghold or the not the stronghold the portal we’re certainly going to want to be in an unexplored area let’s see let’s see if it’s through here i hope i just didn’t miss it and walked right by

It yeah that probably could happen okay it doesn’t look like it’s anywhere right here it probably is back there i’ll just quickly look here too uh no it’s not here yeah i didn’t think it was if we go back here it’s probably probably uh just over here it’s unexplored area here

Yeah the strongholds always generate so funny like almost like almost generated as if they’re glitched i’ve found like just kind of like often like double generate so kind of looks like there’s too much stronghold there but uh it’s just the way they look like this stuff it’s kind of weird these little

Cross passages and things okay looks like this has not been explored oh i really hope this leads to the uh to the portal since i’m not exactly sure where else the portal would be so you’ll get this gold anyway always good to get uh lots and lots of gold

Let’s grab all that now let’s take a good look over here and once we found the portal then we basically do have all the supplies to defeat the ender dragon we just i need to grab them i think they’re all mostly at my house so we’ll just

Do that let me just lock myself in here see if it’s uh through here start digging in the wool floors a little bit just seeing if there’s any anything we haven’t explored yet right and we found this little area but uh hoping there’ll be more i wonder even

How i got in here actually if we can get out let’s see get rid of that water anything below there no it doesn’t look like it hmm okay well it’s not this way i know it’s not that way um could be over here and through this oh yeah no it’s this

Way okay through the door okay looks like there’s something we didn’t explore over here that’s always good um okay it doesn’t go anywhere as per usual these none of these things really went anywhere except for the library now i don’t think we’re very close to our entrance either because i haven’t seen

Forever the portal i think which is since we first explore exploring here it’s able to start going down different corridors seeing if it’s here i’m guessing it’s not down here let’s see if it’s remember this jail from earlier let’s see if it’s down here hmm there’s a zombie because i remember

Down here a skeleton birth through here yes it hits me i name it wrong and it gets mad um i remember through here there was yeah i think just over here actually you know i just blocked that up because that was a dumb one to go down but i think through here

Okay there isn’t anything there’s no point of blocking up where i just said i shouldn’t go kind of silly uh there might be something here okay it could be through here actually the portal thinking it might be closer okay i think this is where we just were so i think

We’re starting to go in circles which is not the best thing uh okay let’s go this way instead might be a bit of a maze to try and find this but i’m hoping that we can because yeah i would not like to be running through here for two hours

Looking and looking and looking okay remember this area let’s see oh yes peaceful calming music as soon as we’re lost oh that’s perfect isn’t it oh well i guess that’s what i can expect from minecraft let’s see what’s down here nothing okay well nothing we’re looking for i’m sure

They’re diamonds or something very good but not really looking for that let’s see uh is that something dirk we’re kind of just looking for anything that’s not been explored okay and that’s that ravine right wherever it’s through this iron door actually oh there’s an enderman burning to death that’s strange okay

Let’s see you can go through here okay there’s definitely not explored there that’s really good to know though if you just mine this way that could be where the portal is which okay well it’s not but uh it could have been and it’s just always good to light up

Everywhere we haven’t already been since um yeah okay there’s this dumb skeleton looks like you have a pretty good bow on you actually if it’ll drop nope will not okay i don’t really have room to pick it up anyway actually i think up here yeah i think this one here actually and

This might actually lead very well and dandy to where we want to go it might be down here just remember one of these so i can’t believe how much of a maze this place is i mean it could just be a little corridor that we’re missing

That whole thing could just be it so i’m just not going to go down any corridor i think isn’t going to lead somewhere i guess i didn’t i’m doing that anyway but i remember going up there okay remember this fountain early on and i wonder if

Just down here maybe could be it i mean this thing is so big it’s hard to if it wasn’t for the torches i really wouldn’t know if i’d been in a certain area or not just because of just the huge expanses of this place which i wonder if it’s bedtime

Might be i don’t it doesn’t really matter i guess since we’re under underground here yeah since we’re not really going to be going above ground for a while For how long it’ll end up taking me to uh to find this place hmm okay just got a skeleton that’s kind of a good sign actually because anything that’s not spawn proofed is an area we probably haven’t been see we’ve been up here yeah we have okay see what’s over here Well we could mine up and then mine go down but i’m not exactly sure that would help okay looks like okay we remember this this was a while ago okay so it’s not down this way that’s useless to go i suppose i guess it’s not down this way

Anyway uh what about the store well this oh yes we haven’t explored here now this these two look like we go to separate rooms i wonder if this room has been explored hmm i remember going down here for a while okay that’s just because it’s useless so

I should start blocking off what i it’s useless i mean even if this takes a long time it’s better to just slowly but surely block off where we have and have not been since i guess that would be the best way to not get lost so i guess

This may turn into a tutorial of how to not get lost in a stronghold or lack thereof since we probably will be getting lost see if it’s down here okay this looks like it goes out here okay you’re useless let’s uh useless creeper okay we’ve totally been down in this whole area and

I know that it’s yeah you’re not that useless get out of here you can still blow me up now let’s see if we go through here let’s go up here oh great we can just block that up i honestly don’t think it’s going to be down there if we’re going to block that

Up we can probably block quite a bit of this up to see what this goes to this goes through here so we’re not going to go there again we kept going that way if we go this way this doesn’t go anywhere so we can know to block this up

Even if it’s just a small area oh and here’s our portal we found this i think this is a first step definitely because we now we know we were at our portal okay there’s a stupid silverfish these things are gonna cause me problems i think

Anyway yeah so here we are here at least found that probably because i blocked things up there’s this waterfall this must be over here right i don’t think we’ve really explored anywhere over here yeah if we do this i think this goes through here this this could all be like a big circle

So is it let’s see it goes through here uh it looks like it is so just break that or not break that but uh block that up just block it up enough i guess get actual keep that water in that fountain that’s a good landmark now it could be through here

That’d be really good oh oh it’s right here we found it we found the portal oh i’m so glad and it’s actually really close to our portal which is perfect but i’m going to explore down here real quick before the end of the video because

If there is another um what do you call a library i’d love to know i think this is the library we were in right uh no it’s not this is this this one burned down too really really hold my word that’s silly i mean that’s just silly

I can’t believe it both the both of these burnt down i’ve never seen one burned down not let alone two it must just be because how low this is now we’re stuck in a cobweb well yeah because there usually are two of these in a you know one kill if i just

Put down a chest run everything we don’t need right now we don’t need those we don’t need that that actually that map could come in handy uh we don’t need the paper we got lots of that we don’t need an apple um iron sword dumbo let’s see you don’t

Need iron pickaxe we don’t need those we don’t need oh we don’t need most of that let’s see we can grab that and we can grab there are some good books in here i just love to come back for these books maybe build a library with them but

That is funny i’ve never seen one of these burned down and then the one time i see the one time i go here both of them have burnt down that’s actually really weird okay let’s go through here real quick oh yeah it just shows how big of a

Area this stronghold is i think we actually ran out of torches is there anything through here it doesn’t look like it this probably just goes through some more quarters it’ll get us thoroughly lost i believe anything through here uh i’m gonna say there probably isn’t yeah no there isn’t i don’t think so

Portal that’s really perfect honestly because i was really not looking forward to doing a whole bunch of um going like moving the portal a whole bunch if it was in the far part of the stronghold that would have been a lot more work hoping that stupid silver fish will

Despawn yeah sometimes it’ll do this it’ll do like double generation like this let’s just kill this let’s see these stupid things they’re so annoying whenever you hit them it kind of summons more or can it’s quite dangerous overall but yeah we’ll just go like that you can see it’s so weird like they’ll

Do like double like that but uh anyway yeah so i’ll just go up here fill in the portal and then we can uh go to the end uh not in this episode but in the next one so yeah we’ll just follow this and then we will just i think we’ll just

Break the silver fish spawner i don’t really think we need that okay that’s fine we’ll just fill this in all right and there we go that’s pretty cool i think it’s like the sound of the ender dragon or something all right we’re not going to jump
