MINECRAFT Survival #192 | BUILDING A MAGE VILLAGE ! | Enchantry Island | LUNA SSP Phase 2

Greetings everybody i am lobo and welcome to luna this is episode 192 of my minecraft survival series and the enchantry tower has been the main focus of many of our most recent episodes it’s an important build in our world right but just as important as the enchantrey tower is the island

That houses it this my friends is in chantry island and this is where we’re going to be working today now it does seem we have a party going on on the far side of the island over here hello cows good good morning and uh mr llama uh good day to you sir i

Guess and mr p oink oinky so i do have a pretty good idea of what i want to do with the island here but it’s kind of hard for me to visualize it with all these trees in the way with the kind of rough changes in terrain that we have on this

Island so i think to start off with what we’re going to go ahead and do is i’m going to go ahead and start kind of flattening this area out kind of cleaning it up a little bit that way i have a blank canvas to work on okay

So at this point i think what we’re going to go ahead and do is just call didion over here put on a little bit of music just kind of you know tidy things up a bit Do Be welcome back everybody now we have enchantry island kind of blank just devoid of trees uh it should be a lot easier for me to actually get to work on this did you guys see what i just saw llama over there llama just went zoom okay anyway

Uh so what we’re going to be building today let me go ahead and tell you the plans for today’s episode all right we got in chantry island ready to be built upon and what we’re going to be building here on enchantry island is going to be a mage village basically

Like this is where all the mages of the enchantry live because as you know there’s no actual living quarters over at the enchantry tower i mean obviously because we haven’t built up the interior yet but even once we do there’s not enough room in there to actually house

Anybody right so this is basically where the mages are going to live where they’re going to eat where they’re going to sleep where they’re going to go about living their daily lives you know when they’re not doing enchanter stuff so the first thing i want to consider is how do we get around

You know how do we get up to the enchantry how do we get to the village how do we get off the island you know it seems to me the docks are pretty much going to be the key to everything because the enchantry is accessible via the docks the boats accessible via the

Docks so the village should also be accessible via the docks so right now i’m basically just trying to figure out what path these docks are going to take as they make their way on to land and into the village where i guess at that point they’re no longer

Docks it’s just going to be like the main road running through this village except for instead of the main road it’s pretty much gonna be the only road running through this village because this village is gonna be you know fairly small so i think we’re gonna have that path that we’re talking about

Kind of fork off to a couple different points of interest so yeah i’m thinking something like that could work and then we will plan our builds our structures accordingly so let’s go ahead and think about how we want to do these structures i mean if you’ve been following this series for

Any length of time it shouldn’t surprise you that the overall foundation for many of these structures is going to be a circle uh because that’s apparently just what i do and i’m perfectly happy with that uh so yeah this is basically like we’re going to work on one of these houses

Together and this is going to be kind of the template that we follow for additional houses over here on enchantry island can’t build and talk at the same time apparently so we know the builds on enchantry allen have their own unique feel their own unique style right which is this

Fragmented kind of fractured look we’re not going to go we’re not going to start building the structures that way though because basically since this is the first one we’re doing together we need to kind of figure out how everything is going to work right so

We’re going to go ahead and start off by getting just a nice clean general structure built so i’m gonna go ahead and use this light blue terracotta to go ahead and get some walls in and then once we have that figured out we can start figuring out the rest of

The overall structure doors windows the roof and after that we can then go in and start adding those details which should kind of tie it into the actual enchantry tower and the other structures which will be built here all right so we got a nice flat wall in but i don’t

Really want a flat wall so we’re going to go ahead and use this spruce wood right here to actually hold on let’s experiment okay let’s we’ll give ourselves a couple options to choose from i want to use this spruce wood right here to add a little bit of extra depth to the corners

And just kind of you know frame everything out a little bit right so let’s see which of these options we like the best i’m thinking i’m thinking the beefier one i’m thinking the beefier one so we’re going to go ahead and do all of our corners like that or at least

The corners on the maybe actually it’s a circle right it shouldn’t have corners but i mean you get what i’m saying now also in the interest of adding depth to this thing i’m thinking if we added a deck to the outside of this building kind of wrapping around the

Entirety of it that might be kind of nice i should also say i am building the deck on the half slab level to avoid mob spawns because we’re probably not going to end up adding a whole lot of light out here uh and this is something i want to go

Ahead and get figured out right now because this is going to be part of the overall structure of the building it’s going to be a covered deck okay so however far this deck extends outward that’s how far roof is going to extend outward as well

So it would make sense to me that the supports for our deck could also extend upward and support the roof as well though i do want to add a little bit of variation in there just kind of make it look a little bit more interesting so maybe we could do something like that

Potentially kind of kind of separate it from the the wall supports right there you know the corner supports of this circular thing let’s see what we think of this let’s see what we think let’s do one more then we’ll kind of back up and take a peek at it

All right um yeah yeah i’m thinking that could that could work now if you’ll notice we are making this kind of in the same style as our dock the deck is pretty much like the dock using the dark oak wood stairs around the outside spruce fence posts on top because all these structures

If how i’m seeing this is all these structures are built by the same people at the same time using the same materials right so it kind of makes sense so now that we have our deck down there figured out that means we also have our roof figured out because

As we discussed the outside edge of the roof is basically going to follow the same contours as the outside edge of the deck then as far as the pitch of our roof goes i’m thinking we’re probably going to keep it fairly short and conservative by like alternating slabs and stairs

That way it doesn’t get too tall because we don’t want these these little houses to be too grand right the enchantry tower is grand okay and these buildings being a little bit more humble should kind of emphasize that i think actually let me let me revise that a little bit

Okay i’m thinking maybe as we get towards the center the pitch should become steeper and that will kind of break things up a little bit and hopefully make this appear to be a little bit more interesting yeah i mean i think the i think the shape is good

Though i mean we’ll probably want to add a different color to it i think maybe a two-tone roof would probably work a little bit better than just like solid dark oak so that’s probably something we’re going to experiment around with but i do think at this point

We have a pretty good idea of how we need to proceed so i’m going to go ahead and start getting more of the kind of general structure of this thing kind of built out [Applause] so we can go ahead and just cap it off like that and i mean that should be

Pretty much it for just the general structure of this thing i mean we’re still got to go in and work out the details kind of vary up some of the blocks and stuff like that especially the stone and all that i mean as far as the general structure goes i’m

Thinking that is probably probably pretty good and that kind of sets the tone for the rest of this mage village that we’re building right all right let’s go ahead and uh i guess next would be windows this thing needs some windows now i don’t really want to incorporate

Glass into these builds you know what that’s a little small let’s go ahead and widen that real quick actually let’s close it off just a little bit like that uh i don’t really want to incorporate glass in these builds so i’m thinking we might use these fence posts as our actual windows

Something like that could potentially work then we’ll go ahead and start adding some detail to it we’ll throw in some awnings over the top here to add a little bit more depth a little bit more detail kind of break up the wall right we’re doing that to the top we could

Also do something similar to the bottom here as well though kind of wondering um let’s let’s see let’s try some other stuff here let’s try some other stuff first so let’s go ahead and try just underneath the windows no we need to we need to balance it

Let’s go ahead and balance that real quick um okay so we got that now the areas kind of in between are looking a little plain so i don’t want to use shutters i’ve done shutter shutters elsewhere um i always do shutter so maybe we could just try to bump

These up a little bit potentially i think something like this might actually work then we can go ahead and bring these out maybe a little bit um or not or not that’s that’s a little awkward you know what i think we had it we had it we let it go

We’re just gonna roll with that then as far as the windows on the diagonals like we’re just basically using the same blocks and trying to come up with a windows design that actually works uh that that might be i don’t know i feel like it sticks out too much like

You can’t really walk around without bumping into it yeah i think we need to we need to bring it in a little bit what if we were just to get rid of this center section right here i think that i could live with that then we’ll do our front door in

Basically the same style um and then we need to go ahead and start getting a floor in here because this thing is going to need an interior so we’ll go ahead and bring this back down to the half slab level again to avoid mob spawns and i’m going to have to replace these

Blocks i took out i was trying to to conserve blocks but you know what we are doing an interior so let’s go ahead and put these back where they belong because you know we’re going to need walls in here now i’m not going to build the

Interior just yet but i do want to get my thoughts out there just so i don’t forget them like i don’t want to have different rooms in here like this house is basically consists of this one main room with dividers kind of sectioning off different areas right

I’m thinking right here at the center this is where we might have our central heating unit which is basically going to be like a fire pit or a furnace just kind of placed here at the center of the room just to make sure the house stays warm uh

That that’s what i’ve got so far but as i said we’re not getting around to the interior just yet because there’s still a few more things i want to get figured out on the exterior for instance right below our deck here i’m thinking we might go ahead and start

Working in some lattice or something like that just to kind of close this area off and i mean we’re getting to the point now where we can kind of start working in that broken fractured feel to this thing right we don’t have to get everything perfect

And then mess it up we can just go ahead and start putting stuff in messed up like right off the bat so let’s see what we think of this if we were just to start throwing some some fence posts around randomly we’ll see if that that helps tie the feel of

This build in together with the enchantry i think it potentially could yeah and we’ll just like kind of you know throw some on the outside some on the top some kind of just sticking out weird places where they don’t belong because remember as this thing was phasing into our world

It didn’t come through properly right i think i like that and then we could go through and just start throwing in some block variation here as well and it now occurs to me this is probably something i should have done as i was uh just building this up

That oh yeah this is going to be a pain because see what i’ve effectively done by putting up this lattice is i’ve locked myself out of my actual work area but i mean it’s okay you know we’re just going to have to do this to this one structure the other structures that we

Build like we’ll just go ahead and instead of building up with stone bricks and then replacing the blocks we’ll just build up with the blocks that we’re actually going to use right so yeah i think i think we’ve officially made it to the point where we’re taking our newly constructed dwelling right

Here and we are effectively making it inhabitable basically we’ve reached the fun part of our build where instead of building up i get to actually break stuff right and now we’re going to go ahead and start just breaking up our walls and just make them look like they’re crumbling kind of falling apart

Get that fractured feel to them right which is something that we’re going to be doing in the interior of the chantry this is kind of a test for how that’s going to look and feel and actually it seems a more effective way to do this is just chip out these

Blocks from the interior to start off with because we can reach all the exterior blocks from the interior but we can’t reach all the interior blocks from the exterior oh yeah it’s starting to come together now if i come together i mean it’s falling apart i think this

Thing looks suitably fractured at this point and we’re going to continue that kind of messed up feel to the other stuff that we’re building here except for i keep i keep wanting to start doing stuff to the interior what i’m what i haven’t finished the exterior yet so uh

Give me a minute i keep getting ahead of myself look at this guy the sheer willpower and determination on his face he is he is going to get me no matter what it doesn’t matter if he burns up doing it i respect that i respect that

But you still fail now i know some people aren’t a huge fan of this particular build style quote unquote build style that i’m doing right now but keep in mind that’s just how this particular section of the world looks you know this is a style that is only going to be here on

Enchantry island because the the idea here is that all this stuff was erased from existence at a certain point and it’s phasing back into this world as the enchantry is getting built up as more and more of these stories coming to light this place is coming through

More and more but it’s not coming through total and complete it’s coming through fractured and fragmented we’ve discussed all this before but for anybody that doesn’t remember that’s basically the idea that we’re kind of rolling with here but i gotta say me personally i like it

You know i like the i like the messy i like the messiness of it you know i like i like to try new things and this is fun this is overall a very fun way to who said that don’t criticize me everybody’s got an opinion this is my

Build i build it how i want to build it um no but one thing you’re going to notice is that this fractured stuff that’s only going to occur with the structures that we built up here right that’s going to occur with the village right here that’s going to occur with

The enchantry it’s gonna occur with the stuff that was made and disappeared okay i’ll tell you where it’s not going to occur it’s not going to occur with the land right here so let me kind of explain my reasoning for this we’ve seen this island before like we have looked from luna

Seen this island before and we knew it was here but we never saw the structures we never saw the village we never saw the enchantry before we started building it right so that’s the stuff that was erased that’s the stuff that’s coming back onto this island that was never erased

That’s the stuff phasing in from another dimension all messed up in all catty wampas right hopefully that makes sense to you guys uh but now we are going to proceed with uh what we were doing here we need to get the interior done so i believe i

Already told you guys what my plans are for the interior uh but i’m gonna add something to that because you know this this build has already taken much longer than i actually thought it would and we need to move on to other structures right so i’m just going to go ahead and get

The interior built in here but the one thing i want to add is that it’s going to be very messy it’s going to be very random with just the vegas sense of organization uh so let me let me go ahead and do some stuff in here and i’ll be back with you

Guys in a minute to show you what i’ve got lopsided bookcases yeah i can i can live with lopsided bookcases all right so i think i think that’s good and by good i mean you know i would not want to live here like this might have been habitable at one point but

It assuredly is no longer uh but we do have the the different areas set up as i told you we got a little sleeping area over here in the back we got a little storage area over here basically everything that these people would have needed to

Get by aside from somewhere to eat but we’ll talk about that in just a little bit but i do think we have a good idea of how each of these houses should look right and what what we’re probably going to do is just use this template to build up the rest of the

Houses in the enchantry village over here we’re probably going to have four or five houses along with a community eating area like i told you we were talking about the food situation like the enchanters the mages they would have gathered and had their meals together is how i kind of envisioned their

Society going before it was you know unceremoniously erased from existence so i mean there’s a lot that needs to happen here and judging by how long this first building took me this is probably going to take a considerable amount of time and we’re not going to get the entire

Village done in this episode but i do want to go ahead and try to get all the major structures in i want to try to get in the pathway that’s going to link up all those major structures and just try to get an overall feel for

The layout of this place right so let’s go ahead and call didion over here put on a little bit of music and get to work [Applause] Do [Applause] [Applause] Uh Um [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] So welcome back everybody before we take a look at the village we built today let’s take a look at the boats we built a couple episodes back because they now have names so ultimately i decided to go with the suggestion that got the most likes which was

The villagers escape and i’d love this name i love it because it references the villagers and this ferry is intended for the villagers right intended to bring those guys up there into luna and i pinned that comment the comment that suggests i’m never sure if i should read people’s

Names in the actual videos because some people might not like that but if you’re interested in seeing that comment it should be pinned to the top of the comment section on the video that we actually built those boats in but we do have two boats so back

There at the ferry terminal we had the villagers escape one over here at the luna waterside district docks we have the villagers escape 2 and there were so many good names like there were tons of great suggestions and it’d be a shame to let them go to waste

So i’ve actually written down i think seven other names that i will use in future projects like they were originally tended to be the names for the boat right but uh what i’m going to do is i’m going to use them for either future boats or potentially future projects around

Luna because some of the names do fit very well with some projects i’ve had in mind and some other names like they’re just too good to not do something with so i will come up with projects for those but let’s go ahead and move on to what

We did today let’s go ahead and talk about the mage village over here at enchantry island and let’s actually approach it the way we would if we were really approaching this village starting from the uh enchantry ferry over here which is how we get to this island right

So we’ll follow this path that leads us up to the village it also leads us up to the enchantry itself we take uh the other route over there so i mean obviously this is a well trodden path this path leads to everywhere on the island this is the path that the

Mages would would have taken from one house to another or to go eat or to go to the enchantry to do their enchantry business and you know most of these houses are very similar to this first one that we built together i mean we’ve already been here

You’ve kind of seen the interior of this like we followed the same template building up the rest of these houses i think the only thing really different is the just the outer color of the houses and some minor changes to the interior to suit the various living arrangements of the

Mages of the enchanters that live there right and some of these houses are intended to house multiple enchanters because we have four houses in total but the population of this village is greater than that if you look at the beds and the living arrangements inside

This was supposed to be a well i i meant to build this during the time lapse i didn’t um and you know what else i didn’t do i didn’t i didn’t decorate the inside of the communal eating area right here uh because remember the houses they don’t have like

Dining areas or anything like that so the mages the enchanters would have come here to eat together they’re a very tight-knit society right so they would have had their meals together i want to get this done before the end of the episode that in the world

I meant to do those during the time lapse i i just forgot but we can go ahead and take a peek at the rest of these houses over here and as i said they’re all pretty much similar just little minor variations between them like for instance some have

Smoke pouring out of the chimneys as you can see right over there and over here at the communal eating area i just used two campfires i don’t want to get too much of that stuff going on but i mean hopefully you know if the arcanine order does return hopefully

They can do something about this place make it a home once again because i don’t know these buildings they do seem a bit drafty as of right now uh but we can go ahead and make our way to a couple other points of interest

As well if we make our way to this side of the island the far side of the island you will notice that we have a little platform over here with a great view or what would be a great view of ender island if it wasn’t for this big old island in

The way right here that thing might have to go at some point and then if we make our way to the opposite end of the island we do have a little platform up here as well which i think will probably be a shrine or something in the future

And in future meaning like next episode because this is obviously incomplete right you can tell from the awkward block placement like this is more or less just a marker to show me that something needs to actually go here but i think that pretty much covers all the major points of interest this was

Actually a lot of work i still do have a little bit more work to do before i feel comfortable in calling this episode complete and i’ve had a thought i’ve had a thought so what if we were to incorporate some of the blocks that we built the enchantry tower out of

Into the enchantry village because i remember earlier i said all these structures were built by these same people around the same time using these same materials right so it would make sense that we would have some of these materials some of the prismarine and basalt and blackstone

Down here at the at the well maybe because i think that might work a little bit better than what i originally had planned for this thing oh and something i forgot to mention which i think warrants mentioning is that you may notice all our pathways are raised right

And there’s a reason for that and the reason is mobs zombies creepers skeletons don’t want any of those guys so they will spawn on this island because as i said we’re not going to put a whole lot of light on this island that’s why all the pathways all the

Travel areas they’re made of non-spawnable blocks so i feel like this is going to end up being a pretty safe area even if the area is immediately outside of it or not uh but yeah i gotta get back to work Okay that is enough that is enough i got done more than i intended to get done which is a good thing because that means i was having fun but let me go and show you around so we got a little grill over here for the enchanters to cook their food

Some smokers over here some storage for provisions over here little dining area set up over here and a little fire to keep them warm at the center of it all uh we’ve got a well built a tree built we’ve got bats for some reason why bats uh these things

I don’t know what i’m gonna do with those yet i will have a plan for those by the end of next or by the beginning of next episode hopefully uh oh think about the dining area like these guys need to get food from somewhere right so i’m thinking

Maybe over here we can set up a little farm for them uh because they can’t just magic food into existence right but man that was that was a lot of work let’s go ahead and take a peek at it from up high just so we can see how much we’ve actually accomplished today

Oh look at that so a lot of progress oh in the shrine we built a shrine as well a lot of progress done on the mage village over here at enchantry island which means we should have unlocked another page in our book now the story so far has

Been troubling to say the least but we need to know what happened we need to understand what happened here right so i believe we left off on page six and a quick synopsis of what’s happened so far the arcanine order here has been in conflict with wolfens laboratories down there

Particularly with wilfred wolf and senior who sought power from the old ones on ender island and he uh effectively used that power to end our world the previous world that we were once living in right and he brought us over to this new dimension where we’ve been building ever since but

I mean an apocalypse is an apocalypse regardless of what comes after right so obviously he did a very bad thing and the arcanine order could not abide that and understandably so so i’m wondering what they actually did about it because we are here in this new world and they are not

So onward to page seven i suppose when the scientists birthed abominations meant to tear through the veils we knew we had to act we tried to sabotage these machines to no avail with hope failing in our desperation we called upon an abomination of our own it’s a decision i regret well

Yeah i mean anytime you have to call upon an abomination i feel like it’s a regretful decision right but i mean why are you forever so cryptic could i get some more information could you tell me what you mean by all this no all right looks like we’re piecing this together guy

Piecing this together together um so abominations a lot of talk about abominations here the scientists birthed abominations and the arcanine order tried to sabotage these machines so we’re talking about mechanical abominations from wolfen’s laboratory meant to tear through the veil wait hold on the nether portal experiments down there

That might be what they’re referring to then over here at ender island the dimensional stabilizer the dimensional stabilizer is actually the dimensional destabilizer no and they tried to sabotage them right that’s why the dimensional stabilizer was was running like it was it was running like it needed a tune-up right

Like that thing was basically about to fall apart but i mean it still did its job if his job was to destabilize the dimensions because we are here now and then over at wolfen’s laboratory the nether portal room somebody broke in there shortly after we we got all that the the security

Hooked up right and that was the arcanine order and they failed so in their desperation they called upon an abomination of their own and they regret this decision so what could that be aside from the netherworm did they call the netherworm to luna is that why the mouth of the netherworm

Looks like it’s about to try to swallow that room it burned its way through luna it could have it could have destroyed all of luna in the process of trying to get to them so yeah i understand that why you would regret that decision it was a bad decision

Everybody made some very bad decisions all parties involved made very very bad decisions so i mean at least the pieces of the puzzle are finally coming together right but i mean unfortunately that’s going to be it for us today i hope you guys enjoyed this episode
