What is up gamers hey you ready to learn about slash telra i am let’s go but legitimous what is slash tell raw well let me quickly explain slash telra is a command that sends messages to the people of your choice using the format tellra and then the Players you want in this case i’ll do at a and then you can put whatever you want in quotes hi and there it is appears to everybody in the world pretty cool pretty cool don’t tell anybody i told you this but you can do a lot more than that with the tell raw Command yes yes using an absolute nightmare of the minecraft json format you can type all kinds of text in all kinds of various exciting colors and you know what this tutorial is gonna need my chat to be a little bigger there we go and uh also subscribe to legitimate’s link Right there right now you know where it is you can do clickable text you can do hover text you can show scores you can have rainbow colors you can have bold italics all the good stuff you know what the telra command just might be one of the most important commands in all of Commands but how do you write that beautifully fancifully elegant well-formatted jason well you could start by following my minecraft jason tutorial and subscribing to my youtube channel but it’s actually quite hard to write correctly formatted jason when it’s all in one line one second please please one just one moment jason is Supposed to look like this beautifully formatted indented with nice spaces in between everything clear line breaks separating one element from the next minecraft jason on the other hand looks like this hold hold on there’s a little little narrow to actually see what’s going on let me let me make that a Little wider actually hold on hold on we still can’t really see the whole thing all right so you can see we got some some jason in there some semicolons definitely a lot of commas no spaces no no new lines oh my goodness all right it’s horrible absolutely dreadful who would Want to use such a thing i wouldn’t no maniac would want to do that unless maybe you followed my minecraft jason tutorial link at the end of the video but hey i get it you’re a busy this is such a mean joke but hey i get it third grade is hard you don’t Have time for that um no everybody uses telrod generators nobody writes them by hand it’s the reasonable thing to do but before you go type in minecraft telra generator into google just beware that some of them have and will try to mine bitcoin in the background using your spare processing power so you Get a pop-up warning you that a crypto miner has been blocked run this actually happened to me while i was making this video fortunately the top result here minecraft.json.com seems fairly legit this is what it looks like it’s open source i’m pretty sure you can download the website it seems Fairly legit and well maintained so it’s what i’m going to use for this tutorial you’ll notice that down here it lets you pick what version of minecraft you want to use i’m using minecraft 1.16 at the moment so that’s the version we’re gonna use let’s just get right in when you first Get here you’ll have this add text button click on that and we’ll add some text we’ll write something that says subscribe to and there’s a space and we leave it hanging now we can pick a color we can pick from our default 16 minecraft colors or we can pick a custom color I’m going to pick nice custom hot pink we can have a click event or a hover event let’s not do that just yet and we could even give it a custom font if we want and you know what i think i do want minecraft only has two fonts by default minecraft default And minecraft uniform resource packs can add other fonts though now let’s add another text let’s add a selector this is going to be for a player so this is going to be selector at a we’re just going to list everybody who’s in the world this is going to type their username and spell It out i want this to be bold and i want it to be gold then i hit save and we can copy and paste this command into minecraft control c now that we’re back here let’s do control v into the chat subscribe to legitimoose that’s me when will my main account return from The war okay you can see our font is there the color is there the gold is there it looks great also if we click on legit or moose automatically it opens up a slash tell legitimacy that’s kind of cool just a default minecraft feature and a bonus of using selectors Back in this dimension i want to add a thing that says how many times i’ve died so let’s do that let’s add another text edit it and say they have died and then it’s going to say how many times so let’s make this a somber dark red and italicize it we have A nice preview down here subscribe to at a they have died actually i’m going to change at a to at p just so that it works with our next bit here add a scoreboard objective and hit edit quick note that holding down alt switches between fast ad and regular ad fast ad Will just add something to the list like that whereas regular ad when we click on scoreboard objective or something it’ll pop up this menu where we can write it in so use that however you want now up here at the top in this barely visible text column we’re Going to say that the player we want to detect is at p and we want to say their death score as a number in chat we’ll make this bold we’ll make it a nice light red and we’ll make it italic to match with what’s around it now We’re gonna add a hover event this is when you open the chat and hover your mouse over it we can make something appear so we can say show entity show item or show text an entity will show like the uuid and the name of the entity so maybe in a Death message you would want that to appear show item will show an item like when you kill someone using a renamed sword and you hover over it in chat and show text will just show the text of our choosing in fact wow that’s everything we already had let’s add a scoreboard objective the Same as the other one scoreboard at p deaths i misspelled my thing before and we’re gonna make it bold keep the color at white hit save then we’re gonna add some more text say whole times exclamation point italic so now it’s gonna say five all times whenever you Mouse over that if they died five times it’s safe okay now we have a very very long command that we can save and return to the craft here we are in the craft let’s run that command again uh oh it’s too long for the chat that means we’re gonna have To type it in a command block get a lever activate it subscribe to legit or moose they have died three hmm three whole times okay looks like we forgot some spaces and some text let’s go back so in here we’re gonna edit add a space right before whole Times then we’re gonna fast add another text call this bad boy just a space and then the word times with a period and we’re gonna make it the same somber dark italic red as we had before see that matches up copy return to minecraft paste run the command subscribe to legit Emus they have died three times three whole times okay i will admit this is kind of stupid but you can see the utility okay death messages custom ones uh scores announcements for mini games any kind of thing but wait there’s more i’d like to just quickly show you all the features that You have at your disposal we can save and restore this thing for later so if we hit export it’ll give us a very nicely formatted object that we can copy and paste into notepad to save and reload later if we made something really complicated and think we’ll need to make changes to it Over time because sometimes your browser’s cache will clear and you’ll lose everything that’s in here but hey i don’t care let’s add something new how about a line break that’s just the equivalent of pressing the enter key it’s called line break now here’s our options we can add selectors and scoreboard Objectives we’ve dealt with those you can add nbt storage which oh boy that’s a little beyond the scope of this tutorial you can add keybinds which is hilarious so if we go in here and press one of our arrow keys you can see it’ll pop up the list of possible options this is The key that you have bound to any of these things so for example key dot attack that would be left click for most people by default uh key dot sprint that’s control by default key dot drop that’s q so if you wanted to have like controls Maybe you made a mech fighting game and you need to tell people how to operate the thing then you could use these so that it adapts even for people who are using alternate control schemes pretty cool pretty cool you can add a translation this is very cool this lets You get something in the language that the player is using so we can go in here and just say language.name if we run that in the chat it’ll say english us for me if you’re using piratespeak it’ll say pirate speak if you’re using any other language it’ll Say the name of your language you also have access to the translations of every piece of text in the entire minecraft game plus any custom ones that you write into a resource pack so if you maybe made a very large scale project that you thought would be played internationally Then you could have it get translated into various languages automatically amazing that is so cool to me and that’s just about it other than the text feature of click events which i didn’t show these are what you always want to be using when they’re relevant so there’s open url when you click this It’ll like actually open a browser page in your browser so that’s nice i could do that and have it linked to my youtube channel so that you guys could subscribe you can run a command but keep in mind that running a command like this will run it through the chat Meaning you have to use slash trigger tutorial coming soon link may be in the top right if it’s out suggest command will have it actually type the thing in your chat but not press the enter key so that you could run the command or not change page books only this whole Thing does tell raw title signs and books so you know doesn’t really affect us and copy the clipboard where you could just have something like hi and then when you click on the text it copies the word hi to your clipboard that’s actually cool i didn’t know you could do that oh And insertion what is that that’s not a self-explanatory word well if you want to know anything that i haven’t covered in this tutorial then you can check out the minecraft raw jason text format wiki page yeah i’m recommending the minecraft wiki it’s not all bad this has very detailed descriptions of Every single tag exactly as it’s written and used in game so if you ever want to use any features that aren’t supported by a scoreboard generator or need an explanation of what something really does or want to read more about it this is where you should start i’m going To hit control f to search the webpage and search for insertion so it says that that is an optional thing when text is shift-clicked by the player this string is inserted into their chat input it doesn’t overwrite any existing text the player was writing this only works in chat messages so you’re saying That i could have that send my favorite extra long winky face emoticon directly into chat is that what i’m seeing here can we hop into the craft and try that all right click here doesn’t work doesn’t work doesn’t work fake fake not real i just spent like five Minutes debugging this and i’m just a dumb idiot who can’t read you gotta shift click it of course you gotta shift click look at that look at that well let’s change this out let’s change our text to say click here smile shift click and there he is in chat alright i think That’s a beautiful way to conclude this tutorial thank you for watching please subscribe and maybe check out my other tutorials here’s a jason tutorial so that you can learn how to format this kind of command stuff properly and when it comes out i’ll put the link to the slash trigger Tutorial here too because that seriously has a good tie-in with the telra command alright see ya bye Video Information

In this minecraft tellraw command tutorial I’ll explain how to use tellraw in minecraft 1.16, 1.16.3, and any version after 1.13! This command uses minecraft JSON, minecraft raw JSON, but it does not use NBT. This tutorial could show you how to make fake join messages, how to send colored messages or private messages in minecraft. Colored text and custom fonts in a minecraft tellraw command are just the basics! This tutorial also covers links/hoverevent/clickevent, how to make clickable links in minecraft chat, (i guess this is a minecraft chat tutorial in a way), and I’ll show you how to make translatable text. This includes tellraw translation, scoreboards, how to show a score in the chat, and many other very cool things. This is what I think is the best tellraw generator for minecraft 1.16. It’s up to date, open source, and from my research it’s legit. Thank you. ~metadata soupsmith
