Hello everyone I am Toby back here with another video I am gonna be doing a time-lapse tutorial if you don’t know what that is I’m gonna be building something all the time I can’t talk to you about how I’m doing it so as you can see where I’ll be building a mage tower Or a wizard tower and I’ve already got the layout on the floor and as you can see me doing at the moment I am building some basic structure to it so I want it to look very supported like that’s how to build great you need to make stuff Look supported and basically make it look real so I’m slightly out of breath because I been talking very quickly they’re trying to slow down slow myself down there we go yeah I’m gonna be start by basically having a square base into the tower with a couple arches Arches are a very very strong shape and then it’s gonna basically merge into a cylinder into the tower so here we go I’m gonna be trying to work this out here this is of course we’ll pre recording and I’m doing a voiceover if you haven’t guessed already but I’m Trying to get the textures done here and I basically quickly try to look up how to use the six-sided bark I didn’t manage to work that on out later in the tutorial but I couldn’t work it out here see as you can see it’s not working so I Decided to change this to Cole didn’t really work trying some different things out until I found something I like this I didn’t really like but I kind of liked it so it’s what we use and I started working on the other side as well but now we’re gonna do some detail on the Front here and I have welded it to my advantage so I could use that to help me it’s really good and I just basically started trying to design something that I liked now I didn’t come up with the design I 100% like at first of course because that never usually happens So I trial and error for a couple different designs I think I got what I was relatively happy with and then destroyed it and I made one that I was pretty pretty damn happy with to be honest but here is me trying to design what I thought would look okay I think This is similar to one I actually ended up going for yeah it is this is the one that I ended up going for then destroyed so this is what what I thought I liked at the time so as you can see it doesn’t look that great I mean met you may agree that my entire build doesn’t look that great but I like it for it’s quite a it’s too big to do a normal speed tutorial on because it took me about an hour to build but it’s too small I think to be anything too grand So I decided to try this time lapse tutorial and hopefully this will help so this is something that I thought I was happy with kind of but honestly I wasn’t a hundred percent sure so I think I got this done had a good look at it like Yeah it’s it’s okay and then I some things tweak some things I did a lot of tweaking that I like I think I do mostly with buildings I do a lot of tweaking so here is where I decided just to destroy it all and start over so here we go this Is what I mashed get I decided to go with a very stone brick heavy theme for the base so look very structured very supported because it’s all made of stone and stone is a very strong material I also threw in some anvils there would I which I really actually like the look of Don’t use anvils too often in my build that is something I saw on fire loss Museum of inspiration and of course I took it in for inspiration and use Danville’s on my build here and I thought it looked ended up looking alright but yeah here is where I started Changing things up making it look slightly different and this is very similar to the design I actually ended up fully going with for the bottom air okay so as you can see this is me basically designing the front section of the arch which is the entrance and here I tried to use trapdoors they didn’t look that great to be honest I know you can only see from a zoomed out angle but from close up they didn’t look that great but yeah this is really confusing to try and get the design you like but I think it’s better to Keep trying and erroring rather than saying something’s mediocre but yeah you just keep keep trying if you don’t get the design that clicks that just completely clicks with you but anyway yeah here is me basically designing the very front here is some different stuff and the tribal lighting glitches Couldn’t let me do what I wanted there so I had to change it slightly but that is something I ended up liking as a design and then what I did is I changed it back to Steinberg didn’t like that changed it to the looks I thought that was – chocolate chocolatey coloured like It’s the color of chocolate in like it so then I went to Google again that block that wood block and see if it will work again of course it didn’t so I decided to try it with wilded it on my side and then ended up working so we Managed to get the design we were looking for hopefully in a second but yeah we managed to get the cut yeah there we go we actually get the colors that we were looking for with the world that it’s six sided log and they’re adding out to one point ten I’m pretty Sure obtainable six sided logs which is really really nice so I could be able to build this in 1.10 in the vanilla minecraft without any plugins oh here is something I added that I that I completely like completely forgot about is another grey block which is the Acacia log and I used that quite a lot in my build actually because I completely forgot it was a block and it ended up looking really really nice so this is this is basically the design we ended up going with on the front and the Two sides but with the size that was a slightly different window section which you will see later on when we do a full 360 of the entire tower because I didn’t show me building the other sides I always showed it from a frontal perspective because that’s basically how I liked and it was really I really didn’t want to move the camera because I had an eye tell I had it in the perfect place so that’s right in the center of the screen so I basically couldn’t afford to move it around and then yeah yeah you Understand what I’m going for there so as you can see there’s me trying to decide on the side on the side I basically used for the window sections are very similar to the front they said having a staircase in the middle going up through a door I had that slabbed over it was Slightly different design a man-in-the-middle eye at a window section with the acacia logs going in the side of the window and for the window I didn’t use glass I used dark oak fences because they contrasted the stone brick and went with the spruce wood very very well so I’m now I’ve done That side pretty much no I haven’t I thought I went on the back but now I’m still designing that side I had a couple of attempts to get the window section there right and now I’m going back round to the back I’m pretty sure nope still still continuing there but I am just Designing that and the reason there hasn’t been a video yesterday is because I was the brainstorming ideas on how to do this video here and what to build and I was googling different pictures of different bills that I like building and then it struck me mage tower done so I Got I decided on my block palette of what I was gonna use I was gonna use the greys and a spruce wood theme so I wasn’t gonna go for a wooden made sure I was going to a very stone based mage tower and it ended up looking really Nice in my opinion I am really really happy with how it turned out and I hopefully I’m gonna be really happy with the how the video turned out as well because this is a try it’s something I’ve tried once before and it completely failed I tried to do a floating island Village in roughly the same place that mage tower is now so I won’t for something a little less ambitious but ambitious with the mage tower but it ended up looking really really nice so what I’ve got going here is I am just finishing or all four sides the similar Design to the front so it’s gonna have a window section in this video unfortunately I didn’t do an interior because the footage was over an hour long so I had to edit I sped it up by 4 times so it became about 17 minutes long pretty sure yeah so that’s that was Really really nice to just be able to speed it up and do this voice over to it because so and there’s voiceover this is definitely working right I’m just doing the last side now to the mage tower this is only the very base it it and it’s not a very Tall mage tower it’s I’d say I don’t know how many blocks to be honest actually is probably about 50 blocks tall maybe like it’s in between 30 and 50 blocks tall is definitely and it still ended up looking really really nice I’m very survival friendly as well So if I ever do a survival series apart from chum craft where I’ve already got my house set up this is something I’d look at building in there because it’s it’s quite survival friend even though it does use anvils which are a lot of iron but if you have an iron farm that’s Easy to come by but yeah hopefully if I do come on a survival server maybe or a survival just another survival series after Tom craft that will be a thing I do but here I am extending up the middle tower you can see the base is now done And this is me designing as you can see it merges from a square into a cylinder and Here I am basically designing what I’m doing with the window sections so basically it goes up into this one section for a window and then what it does is it goes even thinner and goes For a double window section so one on top of another and then it does the roof so you can probably guess what that’s gonna look like now you’ve probably sort of the thumbnail actually but yeah it’s going well so far so there’s a window section I basically it doesn’t look Hugely detail I didn’t do too much detail on this bill cuz I feel like over detailing would ruin this build but personally but yeah it does look good at the moment as you can see on the thing I’m really proud of this build it’s one of my favorite builds I’ve done On this channel to be honest definitely my favorite speed build slash time-lapse tutorial is what I’m gonna be calling the video but if you haven’t seen my old speed builds I did a couple like five six months ago they I really like doing them they were quite fun I haven’t done One in a while because I ran out of ideas of what to build they were all rightly received and I have from doing them so yeah my first ever speed build was a mage tower and just to see the difference in building style like the difference in level of building my building skill Is phenomenal watch that video then watch this one watch them side-by-side and just see the difference in the design it’s just absolutely insane but as you can see on the corner sections I added in a window but instead of using the dark oak fence for the window I Actually used a cobblestone wall pillar so it’s just a three block pillar of cobblestone wall basically really did work for the situation you’ll see it later again in the 360 run around it but anyway I am now basically designing this small section here that basically what its Gonna look like for the rest of the video now not the rest of the video but the rest of this part of the video of the building this section basically I just repeated that on all four sides and that really did ended up working it ended up working and it really did look Good in the end when I had the bit on top as well the roof is the only thing I was a bit wobbly on but I it ended up looking alright I did the best I could with the materials I didn’t use any I didn’t use a block which had any stair Or slab equivalent so I couldn’t do the huge amount of detailing roof making it look quite smooth the roof so there’s very blocky roof but it ended up looking really great and really fit the theme definitely but here I am now designing the windows section that’ll go on top of That as you can see I’m flying around stepping back to see if that looks all right and best thing with building is just build what you got things looks good and if other people don’t think it looks good it’s not good no both people don’t think it looks good It’s good in your opinion and that’s what matters basically so if you guys don’t like this I don’t care I liked it it was good but yeah this is the windows section I tried to design here I used the Acacia slides again as you can see I Just switched my camera count which was on my second monitor moved it up a bit so you can see a better view of what I was building and yeah I’m actually using my sister’s account which she doesn’t use anymore so that’s why I have a Camera count so there we go you can see I have moved that up and that is basically the next section of the build and I just go ahead and do that on all four sites it’s not hugely detailed I know but it does end up looking really nice when it gets done When it’s done it does look really really nice for a tower and it would really fit in on top of a mountain somewhere on a floating island with a mystical staircase going to it like it would really fit in in those places I know my friend v love I’ve done a couple Videos with was trying to design some sort of a mage tower so hopefully after say if he sees this video I’ll give him some inspiration because I know his build has given me a lot of inspiration but here I am having a quick stab at the roof I’m using blue stained clay because It’s and it fits it complements the build that’s what I was trying to say complements the build in a nice way it was a roof material I really wanted to use it reminds me a bit of like Hogwarts where I has like sort of greenish roofs If you ever got the Lego hot walled say got that had like green roofs I ended up fitting quite nicely I mean that roof doesn’t look good at all it looks like a year sevens haircut to be honest like first day of school secondary school you gara just get a Bog-standard haircut straight across the fringe that’s what this roof looks like at the moment to be honest but anyway now we are moving around the build we’ve moving this around the build and yeah basically what I’m doing not moving around the build yeah I know my characters doing that I am basically Continuing that window section on all four sides of the build if you were wondering what I meant by that and so that that’s basically doing that that’s what I’m doing at the moment so once that’s done we’re gonna move on to the roof and then the videos gonna be over Because it was actually a really simple build when you get down to it you could probably build it off this image here to be honest you could build this up to this section off this image so that’s what I’m calling a time-lapse tutorial it ended that it ends up looking quite Nice but I’m not sure what the title should be sure to be time last tutorial should it yeah at our last tutorial it’s got a nice ring to it that’s for the title but yeah now I’m basically finishing off the side like I’ve done it All the way around now I move myself up again and now I am basically designing the roof so the roof I ended up being alright with actually I didn’t like it at first but then I ended up being happy with it in the end so I basically just Built it up section by section it doesn’t look too great from this view here at the moment but yeah I built it up section by section by section keep going with the same pattern look very very square and then I started rounding it out in the corners I tweaked the roof Loads I kept tweaking and tweaking and tweaking until it until it got broody better like a whole lot better so hopefully it turns out like that really really quite nicely but here we go now this is just topping off the roof as you can see is it’s quite square this Bit goes really pointy and that just didn’t look good at all so I had to sort of change it so it didn’t look as pointy as it did it still looks quite pointy but it ended it ended up looking really nice what I did is I basically continued The corners down a bit and then I did end up filling in that front section so it sort of covered up that wood at the top which I’m not problematic with but there we go that’s basically the roof I then went and tweaked it again but that’s basically the roof and that’s basically The entire bill done it does look really really quite nice now what you’ll probably see is me switch to the camera account there we go doing a 360 tour that’s what it looks like now it looks really really nice but I really hope you guys enjoyed watching this video it’s Slightly different something slightly different than the usual is you can see there’s all my other normal tutorials in the background but anyway I’ve been Toby this is a leather detailed view of it just going around if you liked the video please do leave a like and comment down Below but anyway I’ve been Toby and I will see you later good bye good bye everything you Video Information
