All right this is a tutorial a legit one on how to put a custom map into your minecraft multiplayer server um i’ve been searching all over the internet looking for how to do it and nothing comes up ever so first open up internet explorer minecraftwb.com this is where you find most custom maps Minecraft mods custom maps and uh if you scroll down here a bit you’ll come into some stuff now a good one just if you’re looking for any suggestions is called uh broville custom map it’s pretty cool but uh that’s the one that i’m going to be using as an example In this video so um so just click download save it to i suggest you desktop as justice name they take a bit some of them are pretty big so again this is not how to get it into your single player game and it’s how to get it into your multiplayer server So i haven’t found any information on this google youtube nothing’s helped me at all so i just figure why not make this because i figured it out on my own all right and this takes a long time oh and um if you not have uh 7-zip winrar um to compress files then uh I’ll show you how to do that after this all right yes winrar that’s all i really looking for looking for a 7-zip which is a file compression program now you go to wherever you keep your minecraft server i just keep mine on the desktop um this is the folder that has your Server name this is the default folder rename this to just anything really world one i suggest and then you have to make sure here on properties that the level name is world now go 7-zip open that up now go down to wherever your custom map is on your desktop Alright now go to extract keep mine on my desktop server and here we go now it’s extracting this takes rather long too now what it’s doing is extracting it the legit way because when you do it just like the default way that your computer has again as i said it doesn’t always work Right so that’s what 7-zip is for winrar as you might have heard of it as and here you go go to your minecraft server and then i have world 2 in here because that was the folder inside the zip which should be there and then change the folder From your zip folder to world lower cases and then what you should see is converting map when you open up your server you’ll know that you did it right when it says converting map that’s the key you Video Information
