Hey what’s up youtube in this video i’ll be showing you how to make this mario style castle this is based on the mario castle from the really old mario games when he’s all eight bit and stuff like this one it’s not very big but the interior is actually really cozy and Homey if you enjoy this tutorial please do remember to hit that like button it really helps me out so so so much you’ve got no idea it’s the best thing you can possibly do to support the channel and please if you do want to make some more Cartoon or game or movie related houses check out the card system and the description below for my cartoon builds playlist that’ll have loads of fun stuff kind of like this all over the place i’m sure that you’d love to check that out once you’ve finished making this Now before we start making this i should let you know that the actual castle itself the place that you’ll be living in won’t require any more than an 11 block by an 11 block area but that doesn’t take into account the flag that you might want to put outside or maybe Even like the big green pipe or maybe even some mystery boxes but this is the actual castle area that will that we will need to make the castle we also need all of these materials right here and this will also allow you to make the Flag and the uh and pipe and all all of that fun stuff so make sure that you do have all of these materials pause the video if you have to make sure you’ve got all your stuff make sure you got enough room to make it and then we can begin I’m going to be beginning on the front left hand corner of our grid so if you have made this grid well done on top of this block we want to place five bricks one two three four five go right of that fifth brick by ten one two three four five six seven eight Nine ten and connect that block down to the ground then extend this entire right hand row of bricks backwards by ten one two three four five six seven eight nine ten and you want to build up the entire wall you don’t just want to simply have that One row build up the entire wall but once you have made your wall we want to extend that wall across the back of the build until we are able to connect it to the front of the build so we want to have something which should look like This simply extend this back wall to the right and connect forwards and fill in all of the rows using bricks until the rows aka the lower castle walls are as high as the bricks that we have at the front of the castle and at that side that we actually managed to Fill in as well it just involves doing four rows going all the way around really also fill in the top of your castle using bricks this is quite important because we are going to be adding a second layer to the castle it kind of has like a cool looking key up top which We will be placing upon this foundation that we are actually making so simply fill in the roof and then we can place that next okay so when i said place that next i lied a little bit because we want to now place a brick on top of every single one of The four corners extend the four corners of the roof upwards one with a brick you then want to connect all of these bricks together by repeating this pattern leave a gap place a brick leave a gap place a brick leave a gap place a brick Not on the side leave a gap place a brick and you want to do this going all the way around and once you’ve figured out the pattern you should be able to get completed fairly quickly and hopefully without any mistakes although i always make one oh i managed To do it so we want to have something which should look like that your typical castle war next we have to place the keep this is quite easy if you start from one of the corners of your castle you want to move inwards by two diagonally like one And two here so we want to be one block away from this brick and one block away from this brick place yourself another brick and go right of that brick until you are one block away from the brick on the right so go all the way to the right Until you are one block away and then go backwards from that brick until you are one block away and go left until you are one block away and then connect back to where you first started so we want to have something which should look exactly like this and This kind of reminds me it’s kind of like the shape of those spiky guys that you get in mario with like the angry faces that like drop down on you they’re like gray and white they look kind of cool but this that kind of reminds me of The shape anyway what we then want to do is we want to go up on top of each one of the four corners of the keep and we want to go up by four one two three four extend that fourth block to the right and connect down to the opposite corner Do the same going backwards so extend that block backwards and connect down And extend it across and connect down and extend it forwards like so fill in the left hand side of the castle using bricks also the back part of the castle using bricks and also the right hand side of the castle using bricks like that also the top of the castle once again Using green conk i’m joking we want to use bricks there we are we also want to place a brick in each one of the four corners of the what i’ll call the keep of the castle like the second level like that and then we want to repeat the same Pattern that we did earlier we want to connect them all together by leaving a gap of one brick gap of one brick and we want to do this going all the way around it’s basically just two bricks on either side so it shouldn’t take you too long to complete that Now we have to get to the tricky part if you want to call it that i think it’s quite easy but i’m well i’m sure that you guys won’t have any trouble with this so where we have the front of the castle here we want to find the middle of the Castle it should be fairly simple it’s this block right here you should have two either side of you connect the bottom to the top like this so it kind of looks like a medieval helmet add a row of brick left of that and right of them Then place brick slabs on top of the bottom part and the top part so the empty windows that you have then fill in the middle of these using black concrete so you’ll have to do it one row behind but that’s perfectly fine there like that And it it just looks a little bit better it looks a little bit more like the actual proper castle like from the game we want to do something down here as well so like if we come all the way down to the very bottom left hand corner of The castle then we’re on the front by the way and we want to take the first brick that we ever placed sure you guys remember probably not and you want to place three bricks going right so from this block one two three and then connect upwards just place Bricks upwards until you connect to the top of the castle come to the right hand side and do the same thing pretty much you take this bottom brick extend it left by three one two three and then fill in all of the empty remaining breaks now To make the entrance a little bit more aesthetically pleasing place an upside down brick stairs in the top left hand corner and top right hand corner of the remaining empty space we also want to place an oak door in the middle of the empty space one row backwards like this It’s a bit more intriguing we then want to place black concrete all the way around the entrance covering up any empty space that we would see from the outside so kind of like this i’d also come on backwards there we go also going to replace underneath the door and behind The door with black as well because i’m never going to be using this this actual castle as a house because you know i already have one so i don’t really need to use another but i’m going to fill that in using the black uh black concrete it looks very nice like that Let’s add a couple of details so that’s mario’s castle pretty much that’s the mario castle pretty much done but if you want to add a couple of cool details i’d i’d recommend these so i’m just going to get rid of the door and get some quartz slab for this And i want to take the front bottom left hand corner of the castle the first block that we ever placed and i want to leave a gap of a gap of four going left right so one two i’m gonna destroy in the ground one two three and four just to mark it out And then gonna place a terracotta seven oak fence on top one two three four five six seven then a lime concrete then i’m going to leave a gap of one coming down and i want to place an upside down quartz stairs going left of the oak wood Then i want to place quartz slabs on top and to the left and then we have a cool little flag i i really like that because that’s like the flag that you jump up to and like the flags are the flag itself like slides down i really like it i Think the flagpole is kind of like a cool addition let’s make a pipe because you know mario it mario’s a mario with like green pipes all over the place uh the way that i’ve positioned it in the original i’ll position it the same for you you start On the front right hand corner of the castle you move backwards by one you leave a gap of nine going right one two three four five six seven eight nine then you place a row of two lime concrete one two then do a back right diagonal place one behind back left diagonal Go left forward life diagonal come towards you like that we’re then going to place how do we best do this okay so we’re going to place uh three rows coming up once one two and three like this and we want to place that on top of every single one of the Individual blocks like this just place three rows of lime coming up which you can make it higher if you want we then want to place lime concrete all the way around the top of the top row so what that basically means is you just want to extend it outwards by one row Like this and you’ll have yourself a pretty simple pipe we’re then going to destroy the inner block so like we we want it to look like diagonal like that and then you could possibly even like fill the top of it in using some black concrete just just to Have it filled in number one and it looks a bit better if you wanted to you could even have like a little hidden entrance back here like you could hide something cool inside but that’s kind of up to you to do if if you want to do that Oh if you wanted to crazy idea here’s here’s a cool thing i didn’t consider this if you wanted to you could get rid of the door just pretend the door doesn’t exist and you could make it so that you had to like climb into the pipe right stick With me you had to climb into the pipe and then you had to like use like oh i can’t believe i didn’t think of this and you had to climb into the pipe i found i found yellow is that a good sign you had to climb into the pipe Right and then i’m close and then you could access the inside of the castle from the pipe so there’s no way to get in here unless you like actually took a trip through the where are we unless you actually took a trip through the pipe is That cool idea or is that a weird idea because i think it’s kind of awesome i’d just an idea for you i mean i took them out there every now and then here’s a couple more things that you might want to add so like on the older mario games Like you had a lot of repeated scenery you’d have a lot of bushes so green concrete you had a lot of clouds white white wool is a good one for that like a lot of mystery boxes so some yellow concrete some black concrete even a Little bit of a quartz slab will be good for this and so you might want to around your castle maybe make a couple of bushes maybe like green concrete in rows of like let’s say i don’t know likes four one two three four next end up the middle blocks like That just maybe add a couple of bushes you could even extend the middle blocks forwards and backwards one if you wanted to make it 3d and maybe place a couple of these about i’ll place one on either side maybe like you know one there and Uh one over here you know just just to make it a bit more mario-y is that a word probably is now we still we can’t see the bush we can if we go far enough what i think is really cool decoration mystery boxes so making the mixture box Is really easy you place a black concrete two yellow concrete to the right is it two i hope there’s two it’s free you place free yellow concrete to the right one two three black concrete you go up by two rows of yellow one two place a black concrete on the right and Left hand sides with yellow concrete in between like that then you take all of those blocks and you extend them backwards by rows of three yellow one two i’m only going to make one of these three and then one two three this is a really cool decoration Place a black concrete in each one of the four corners like this kind of how you did on the front place yellow concrete in between all the black and also completely fill in the black using yellow concrete too and then also fill in the top using yellow concrete also i really love these And uh once you’ve done that it’s kind of cool um we’re going to make a little question mark on it okay so if you start from the bottom center yellow concrete block gonna place a block a slab of quartz here just off the ground leave half a gap place a quartz slab Upright diagonally from this we’re going to place a quartz slab one on top then an up left diagonal about my diagonal just to form a little question mark this i actually really kind of like that that’s really kind of cool so that’s something that you might want to Place you know next to your mario castle or where wherever wherever i mean you can kind of place these anywhere and it just really brightens things up a bit and in mario you know that there’s always like fun clouds and stuff what am i doing uh there’s always like fun Clouds and stuff so you might want to put like a couple of clouds in the air so maybe like uh you know maybe like a few a few clouds maybe make them similar to the bushes in the terms of shape and size and stuff i’m gonna destroy these guiding blocks um maybe Put another cloud over here maybe a different altitude maybe just uh just a little bit we don’t have to do it too crazy could even be a bit bigger although they were very repetitive with their cloud making and stuff like it’s you know it’s pretty much the same thing Over and over and over again but you know maybe if you want to add a couple of those like around the castle it really adds a little bit of an atmosphere and if you want to add now i i would recommend this but it may it makes it a Little bit 2d if you add a layer of like light blue concrete like a big square of it behind the castle it it’ll look kind of cool but it’ll also take forever to do so i don’t know it’s kind of up to you i’d also recommend using some lime terracotta Here and i would recommend turning the ground into lime terracotta although that that’s completely up to you but i’ll tell you what i will do though okay let me i’ll go away i’ll dig up all the ground i’ll play some lime terracotta maybe another clown no i’m not going to Place another cloud i don’t want that i’m going to play some lime terracotta i’ll get rid of the numbers and then we can take a look at this thing because i really like it it’s so simple yeah it’s so cute i really like this build so this Is what your castle will look like if you decide to replace the area with a bit of artificial grass i think it looks a little bit better than just minecraft grass and i almost kind of wish that i put up a blue backdrop kind of like how I did in the start of the video but it it takes a lot of time and honestly like it it’d take up quite a lot of the world as well like whenever i’m looking around i’d just see like a big giant blue square and i don’t want that so This is how it looks i think it looks really nice i hope that you guys enjoyed this if you did please do
