Minecraft Tutorial: How To Make A Volcano Hidden Base “Hidden Lava Base”

Hey what’s up youtube in this video i’ll be showing you how to make a secret underground base hidden inside a volcano the way to get into the base is easy at the mouth of your volcano you can quite clearly see where you have to jump into

The lava this requires a leap of faith oh oh no no i’m on fire i’m on fire i’m on fire it’s okay because underneath the lava ah that’s much better we have a water tunnel which will lead us into the house the first room of our base is a farming

Room we have wheat mushrooms storage ender chests armor and even neverwall not only that you can see the lava flowing up above us and in the corners of the room it provides natural light and a really really cool vibe down here even the hallways are awesome the

Adjoining hallways have a lot of glass built into them where you’re encapsulated in lava the next room that we’re going to take a look at is a smelting room it has every kind of furnace implement that you could possibly want including storage and once again that really awesome feel of being

Surrounded by lava even the staircases are awesome we have cutouts of glass which give us a really cool pattern of lava and light as we walk down into the next room this is the brewing room with loads of cauldrons loads of brewing stands loads of storage and more so

Lava lava lava it is an awesome feeling to walk through our secret underground hidden base lair this is the base floor this is where we can do a little bit of upgrading via enchanting we even have an anvil and once again more light it’s so light in here we

Don’t even need lanterns or torches the lava actually does everything for us my favorite room of the entire build here this is the mass storage room this is where we keep a lot of our really really really useful items like diamonds and emeralds we have more armor we have every crafting

Implement that we need we have beds and a chest and more importantly we have a nether portal which can serve to get you out of the base if you like or just to get you to the nether and we do even have a little secret escape hatch

Um if you don’t want to brave getting out of your base uh the dangerous way or through the never portal way and this little hatch here will actually take you onto the side of your volcano and it’s actually really well hidden away if you don’t have that trap door flipped up

It’s actually really hard to see how you can get in and out of the base and it’s oh it’s just so awesome it’s so epic i really love this it’s one of my favorite secret hidden bases underground bases whatever you want to call this thing that i’ve ever made it’s it really does

Make you feel like a super villain it’s it’s so awesome i hope that you guys enjoy it here are all of the materials that we will need to make a hidden volcano base please do make sure that you have access to all those materials and enough of them as well and

Now that we have all of our stuff we can get started so the first thing that we have to do is we have to make our actual base and then we will build our volcano around it so we’re going to start off by placing a row of nine white concrete in

A row on the ground that’s one two three four five six seven eight nine we’re then going to extend that ninth block backwards by eight one two three four five six seven eight and then we’re going to extend this block across and we’re going to join it

Back to where we first started so we want to have something which should look like this what we’re now going to do is we’re going to take the four corners of this and we’re going to raise up the corners by five so that’s one two three four

Five and what you can do is you can extend the corners across and you can join them down so instead of having to count out all the corners individually because we’re going to want to join them all together anyway you may as well just extend across and down just like this

And this will actually show you where the floors are going to go so now that we have one floor this is the lower floor we now want to build the middle floor which is a little bit smaller and we’re going to be taking each one of the

Four corners of this again and we’re gonna raise up the four corners by four blocks so that’s gonna be one two three four and one two three four and i don’t know why i’m doing this because we can just take that first row of four and we can extend

It around like this there really is no point in counting it out four times you can see that it’s a lot slower actually well what i started off doing um it’s a lot slower than just extending it around so now you can see that middle section is ever so slightly smaller

And what we’re going to do now just to finish this off is we are going to take each one of the four corners once more and we’re going to raise them up by five so that’s gonna be one two three four five and then we’re going to extend

Around like this and we’re going to join it all down so as you can see the little middle section is ever so slightly smaller than the upper and lower section as to provide a little bit of a contrast so we just want to have something which should look like this

So the next thing that we’re going to do is we’re just going to space out the floors a little bit so what i mean by spacing out the floors is i’m just going to be placing some light gray concrete inside of each part of the build where a floor would be

So right here down at the bottom a floor would be here um there is going to be a floor here as well basically anywhere that you placed the white concrete you can pretty much guarantee that there will indeed be a floor there so um right the way at the

Bottom the section above and then the section above here as well and then at the very tippity top um we’re actually going to have a glass ceiling or you can use white concrete um the benefit of having a glass ceiling is the fact that

You can see out of it but uh i’ll tell you what we’ll just seal it up using white concrete and maybe we’ll even make some sort of cool pattern or something later once we have a little bit of lava and stuff involved so we’ll just seal this up using the white

Concrete just like so and this is kind of what we have at the moment we kind of have all of this white concrete kind of like stacked on top of each other so the next thing that we’re going to do is we are going to add some stairs in between all of these

Particular sections and all we have to do to do this and by the way it would be easier if on this back wall if you filled in the entire back wall with your white concrete it actually just makes it a lot easier to add in the stairs but

When it does come to the next part which is going to be a little bit later well we will be adding some lava around the base and ultimately be making the volcano we’ll be adding some glass into the base which will make it look a lot

Cooler but if you have this back wall in here what you can do is on every single level if you leave a gap of one so not this light gray concrete here but right there um you can simply just place rows of light gray concrete like this uh or

Rows of quartz stairs leading up into the light gray concrete like this which will eventually reach on to the next floor just make sure that you’ve got enough room i think that that is the minimum amount of room there there we go perfect and you just want to have a set

Of stairs upon stairs upon stairs upon stairs that will just to take you on to the next floor so we just want to have something which should look like this i think this is actually the top level yeah because these stairs are ever so slightly smaller like that

And i actually like the idea of covering up my stairs a little bit i don’t think that i cover them up down here on the lower floor but on the middle floor i like the idea of using some either white concrete or perhaps some light gray and

I like the idea of just having the staircase sealed up a little bit just like this so i like that here and i like that here as well and what that will do is it will just really make these stairs a little bit separate and it will just

Allow you to focus on the roommate a little bit more so that’s what we have so far i’m i’m pretty happy with what we have we’re going to leave the walls nice and open like that at the moment but that is absolutely subject to change we’ll probably fill them all in a little

Bit later so the next thing that we’re going to do is we’re going to make one of the branches of the rooms so um this is kind of like a lot of crafting spaces there’s a decent amount of working space but there are two rooms so the lower

Room is going to be the bedroom and what we have to do is on the lower level the lowest level the one that we started on we have to come to the right side here and we want to start from the front corner here and we want to count inwards one

Two three so this block we want to place a row of six one two three four five six as a matter of fact it actually wants to be one row higher than what we’ve done my bad but one row higher so like one row off the ground there we want to have

The row of six white concrete and then we want to have a row of light gray concrete i do believe in between and on the other side of that we want to have the white concrete like this and what we’re also going to do is we’re going to branch out that sixth white

Concrete here and the sixth white concrete here on the other side and we’re going to branch them out we’re going to extend them out one two this side and we’re going to extend them out one to this side so you kind of have this like t shape

And what we’re going to do is you can take either side and whichever side you do choose you want to place like a a white concrete extending inwards towards you inwards towards you like this you then want to go right by six one two three four five six

And then you want to extend in right In right and then extend backwards by six as well one two three four five six and then you want to like extend in and left in and left and then left by six one two three four five six then like in left in so what we will end up with is this

Shape right here which is absolutely perfect so we want to have a circle is what essentially that is and with our circle we then want to fill it in using light gray concrete just like so This is going to be the floor of the circle and we are going to then make it a bit more 3d and it’ll all join back together rather nicely i’ll show you what i mean so there we go we have our circle and what we then want to do is we kind

Of want to take the ends of the circle so like this part of the circle here and this part of the circle the ends of the long rows and we want to raise them a peach by three one two three and one two three like this and we want

To make the same circular shape above as we do below but as i’m going to show you once we actually reach that point we’re going to want to join the ends of the long sides down and well up and down whichever way you want to see it and we are going to

Here here here perfect so like this and then we’re just going to as i mentioned extend the sides down on the long sides like this or up and down and again it doesn’t really matter which which way you see it as long as as long as they

All get extended up or down just like this we have to make the tunnel so there is of course a tunnel that leads from here to there it might be a little bit easier for you if you completely fill this um side of the cube that we made earlier it’s not quite

A cube but you guys get the idea this side of the box that we made earlier if you fill this in a little bit and if you just make a two block gap here so this is how we’ll get like up and down and we’ll even have a quartz

Stairs in there so that we can just get up nice and easy uh we want to place on the ends of this uh little tunnel here we want to place two light gray concrete extending upwards on both sides the connecting tunnel and the other tunnel here we want to place white concrete

Connecting the light gray concrete together on the left and right side we can then join the light the white concretes together at the top like this and we can add glass into the sides and also the top and it might be cool to add it into the bottom part as well because hopefully

We’re going to have some lava flowing below us so as long as you don’t have any plans you can look directly down and you’ll be able to be completely encased in lava which is one of the really cool things about this uh we’re going to completely fill this in this particular

Little side in here using some white concrete like so you could even mirror it on this side as well if you wanted to and then what i would recommend doing however is just making sure that you fill the corners in with glass it’s actually a

Little bit easier if you do do it from the inside so if we take a look from the inside here um the glass is a huge portion of this like why are we going to the trouble of building a base inside of a volcano if we don’t get to enjoy the fact that

We’ve got a load of lava surrounding us so it is completely up to you and you can change the dimensions of this so that perhaps the rooms are a tad a little bit bigger or i might even make another one of these depending upon the popularity of the video but um

A huge portion of this and we we want to have walls that aren’t just completely glass you know we don’t want to be completely encased in lava but we do want to see a lot of it like if we were to look up or to the sides and then that

Is what the room will look like and it looks pretty cool i i really really like the design of it it’s so different from the opposite side of the build as well so the next thing that we’re going to do ladies and gentlemen now that we have made this you know so-called chamber

Down here we want to do quite literally and i do mean literally the same thing just up above so we’re actually going to build it in reverse a little bit so if we come all the way up to the top of the build right and we’re still on this

Right side we want to one road down from the top of the white concrete here and i’m just going to place a row of free white concrete just to help us just one row down leaving a like a gap of one from the top we actually want to make the exact same

Thing that we have down below so it’s quite easily achieved if you kind of just look directly down you should be able to just copy block for block what we have down below us like it hopefully you should be able to lit this is essentially tracing like in

Real life with tracing paper like this is essentially what we’re doing we just want to make sure that we have the exact same room the exact same room shape and i’m looking directly down below just making sure that everything is keeping to spec and we should be able to just copy the

Same white concrete shape that we have just down below and let us just take a look let’s see if that matches up and it does absolutely perfectly and that’s all you have to do ladies and gentlemen and you can fill the top of this in with

Glass in the same manner that you did just down below and what we’ll also be doing as well is we will of course be extending down these sides by free using the white concrete and then we’ll be adding the floor to this as i said we’re building in reverse it’s pretty much

We’re building the top and then the bottom rather than the bottom and the top that we did earlier so we have the top part there and then if we take these sides down one two three just like this and then we can basically and once again i can’t stress this enough we’re tracing

The shape that we made earlier so just like this here here and here i think that this might we’ve just got this corner to do as well just make sure that so that would go here Here and here and that looks as though that it matches up that is fantastic and then all we have to do it probably be easiest to do it now we can fill the base of this in using some light gray concrete so this is of course going to be the floor of

This particular room this is the first room that you enter by the way this is the first room that you enter as you enter your volcano layer so we have this and then we can place some white gray concrete white gray we can play some white concrete joining all of the corners

Together white gray that’s a new one and we can just have this we have to make um the other side of the tunnel here as well so um once again it’s probably easier if we completely fill this wall in particular here in using some and we

Can even shave a bit off this wall because the stairs don’t start until there because the uh the room below us is ever so slightly smaller for i must have had a reason for doing that i just think it kind of looked cool to have kind of like a big room smaller and

Big room but you could alter that if you wanted to and um it’d just be easy because then we can like just copy what we have above us again a lot of this build is is very very simple hopefully and it’s quite easy to work out how um however if it’s done as

Long as you’ve done it once it should be nice and simple so does that match the top i think it does if we take a look that matches the top we can add some glass in here because of course we will be adding some lava and we want to add

Light gray concrete there we go that’s probably what i was trying to say early instead of like white gray concrete light gray concrete we can stride our way into this room here as well and we can even have some stairs too there we go that’s looking good um light gray concrete here

Some glass here and you can use any glass i opted for regular glass because i love the effect that it’s nice and clear so i love how lava looks um behind it um you can fill this side in here if you like with some glass and and then i’m going to

Place i think i’m going to just make all of the sides pretty much like this is going to be white concrete i’m going to make the corners glass so that we’ve got even more light so that you can see the lava flowing around us um because that will be really really

Cool i like that um obviously we can see the lava above us which is you know that’s awesome but i like the idea of um being able to like see to the sides of us as well and having some lava kind of like flowing so there we go oh just got

One more corner one more side to do here as well just like that that’s perfect and then we just have this back wall now this back wall i’m going to begin by white concreting it like this but this by the way this is what we want

To have so far very very happy with how that’s turned out i really like that as a matter of fact before i go any further i am going to seal up this um the living space in the left side of the build so all of this we’re just going to

Seal all of this up using white concrete because i i realized we can’t really leave it open when we do get to the next part because if we leave it open then it it’s going to be a big no no we’re going to have lava flowing everywhere and it

Will it would not be good so this is all getting completely filled in using the white concrete just like this this is going to look great from the inside from the outside it’ll look a bit weird of course but from the inside it’ll actually look great it’ll

Look very very modern very very uh futuristic actually from the inside especially when the glass gets put into the walls and we’ve kind of got the we’ve got like the nice light source so yeah there we go that’s completely sealed up we’ve got both found rooms now

This would also work well by the way for an underwater base i might make an underwater version of this because i really love the uh the sort of design that we’ve got here um so now that we’ve got these two rooms um the significance of the top room this upper room here is

That this is where we want to be able to enter the house there’s only one way in and as a matter of fact there’s only one way out although we might make an alternate route out i’ll show you later but um basically we want to come to the very

Back top of the circular shape and we want to find the middle glass block which is here you should be able to find it rather easily you want to raise up this glass block by it’s kind of almost a random amount i’m

Going to do to say like 10 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10. now the reason that it’s a random amount is because that is where the top of the volcano is going to be so completely dependent upon how big you want to build the volcano um it’s you

Know you make that taller or smaller depending upon how big you want your volcano and what you do with the glass is you place a row of white concrete on the left side of it you place a row of white concrete on the left side of it you add glass

Behind the white concrete on the left and right side just like this you add white concrete behind the glass like so and then we’re gonna add glass in between the white concrete so it’s essentially a shoot or a tunnel you know however you want to see it and this is

Going to break us into this part here so this is going to break us into our build like this and what we’re going to do is we’ll destroy this glass here and we’ll extend this white concrete down and we’ll destroy this class here and we’ll extend this white concrete down where is

The center of the chute it is right here that’s the center of the shoot so we’re going to extend these white concretes down as well at the back we’ll join it together at the back we’ll place a bit of glass inside of here like that and

That is looking very very good so we want to do two things at the base of oh we could we can turn this into uh light gray concrete as well okay so we’re going to at the top of the shoot here like just before the shoot like above

The one to the third block of the shoot we’re going to add a oak sign an oak sign um and we’re going to add a water above the sign is that above the sign there we go perfect and um as a matter of fact we could even

Um because the lava is going to flow into the top here so right at the top we’re going to leave a gap of one and we’re going to place the sign so the lava is going to flow at the top and just as a representation that’s where

The lava is there we’re going to want to be enter the we’re going to want to enter the tube rather quickly so we will have a point at the top of the volcano where we know where the top is and we might even make

A bit of a ledge that will help us drop quickly as you see if you fall into the lava rather quickly you fall into the water into the water rather quickly as well however if you were to simply walk into the lava it acts very

Much like water so it kind of it slows you down a lot and then you get this nice drop quick descent into the water so you’re unlikely to die in the lava if you’ve got a if you’ve got some health on you but um it’s better to do it fast

And you could if you wanted to you could have the water directly next to the lava as well you could have more water you could even have it like all the way down here um so if if you did if you did want to so that you could literally drop directly into

It but um yeah i don’t think that that’s going to interrupt the water and the lava i think that that’s okay i didn’t want to accidentally create uh some obsidian there yeah because we’ve uh we’ve got the time perfect okay so that is what we want to have so far ladies and gentlemen

Very very happy with how that looks so we’ve got our way to get into the base we have our entire base the next thing to do is kind of and this is going to be a tedious part of the base laser enchantment i’m not going to lie to you

This is going to take a long time we want to use stone and we can use some different variants of stone as well we want to make a circular shape around our base so you’re going to want to make it look quite nice and natural so that’s why i’m

I’m starting off with a very rough shape like this okay we want to make a circular-ish sort of shape around our base and this is going to be the shape of our volcano so you guys sort of know what volcanoes look like right it’s kind of like a almost like a

Cone really of like stone or you know it is i’m imagining kind of like a cartoony sort of volcano and it’s almost like a cone of stone that starts from the ground obviously and it’s it’s almost sort of like a pyramid as well in which that it’s a little bit smaller at the

Top and it slowly grows to quite a large base at the bottom or vice versa and there we go perfect i actually um actually somewhat messed that up a little bit but it doesn’t really matter but the point is and it’s hard to see because we actually have a lot of i

Think that’s gravel around us um that’s the sort of the shape of our volcano that we kind of have all right ladies and gentlemen so you can see what we’ve kind of got to do and we we can start with a very very simple shape if we want

So we can take this shape here um that we’ve kind of made and we can just raise it up to be as high as we need it to be so we can raise it up rather high we can start off um with like a very very boring

Shape for our volcano as you can see like uh like i mentioned and i’ll go i’ll just give you a good example of this so i as you can see i’ve got a nice shape kind of like around our base like this i’m going to raise it all up to be

Rather high and then we can start shaping it afterwards so just to give you a good example this is what we’ve got going on at the moment and if you just raise up kind of a boring shape around it you’ll end up with now this

Is what the base will look like once you have placed all of your stone around it as you can see it’s looking a little bit ugly at the moment but we are certainly going to change that as we progress but now that we have achieved a goal of making some nice big

Stone rolls walls around our base what we are going to do is add lava around our base whilst we still can get to it rather easily and i’m very very sorry mr traveller but um this is how it’s going to have to end for you so i’m

Going to plant some lava around the base i’m going to plant lava but i i pretty much want to encapsulate the entire base that we’re creating because it doesn’t really matter we’re not going to be able to see this from the outside um but we

Will be able to see all of the lava on the inside of the base like this we’re not going to so much worry about the tunnel the tube that we kind of have at the moment but um as long as from the inside uh that is perfect so we’re gonna

Want to play some more lava down here as well on top of the um on top of this like glass roof that we have but other than that that should actually be quite good um we’ll want to place some lava underneath the walkways as well so on top and underneath these walkways

Uh so here as well um on the sides it should actually be quite fine so underneath here yeah we’re gonna want to play some lava just uh just below and obviously you know this isn’t very survival friendly but you know um you might be able to get away with this

Somehow in survival i don’t quite know um we want to place lava all the way around the sides here and it can flow from the top it’s actually almost better if the lava is flowing a little bit because it has a bit more of an interesting effect i think um if we

Place it so that it comes all the way down around the top if we make sure that the lava sits directly on top as well that way if we want to place some glass then we can here we go this is why we wanted to build this kind

Of black above ground and have the volcano around it um we also want to make the volcano like a really cool landmark as well so yeah that’s looking pretty good we’ve completely covered the area in lava now if we were to um hop into our base now I really shouldn’t have made that all water should i i probably there we go so now from the inside now this is what i’m talking about this is cool so now we have the lava all the way surrounding us um yes nice as we walk through here we

Have all of the we even have little embers and ashes um if we want to what we can do is we can use the um and we have to be a little bit careful here but we can use the natural light of the lava

To kind of like um as a matter of fact that won’t even flow inwards so we don’t even have to be careful um yeah there we go so we can make a really cool feature out of the lava around us so like where we have the stairs here we

Can add some nice natural light in using the lava and we can do this um everywhere we can even if if we so choose we can have a window here as well we don’t have to add in any lanterns or anything like that because we’ve we’ve

Already got it built in like yeah we’ve already have as much light as we could possibly need really um i i should imagine that we we won’t need to to add any whatsoever we should be able to get enough from the uh the lava surrounding us um we we

We’re on the ground level now um if we want to add like a bit of a window in here as well you know and all of this is subject to change i’m sure that we’ll be decorating i’m sure that we’ll be making this look way better um just make sure that lava

Looks good absolutely everywhere this is looking fantastic i love that this is awesome this looks absolutely great so this this is what the inside of your base should look like and this is the most important part the base looks absolutely awesome now we are going to

Be i think that we’re gonna have to make an escape tunnel um because otherwise we won’t really be able to get out of our base um so i i think that i’m gonna make an escape tunnel um here and this is going to be tricky so hang

On where’s i can’t even see the uh where where i just left so hang on um what if i place a little bit uh some stone here okay so that’s not stopping the lava flowing if i could get back into the house that would actually be quite useful um i might have to

Just destroy my way back okay there we go i had to make a little bit of a mess there but um there we go so we have to be able to get out what if we place some stone okay there we go perfect so that’s some stone will i be

Able to see this from the outside that is where the stone is so we can place some white concrete kind of like leading from the stone just like this um we we just want to have like a basically just a little tunnel um does that lead us back into the house

Yeah okay perfect so we just want to create a little bit of a tunnel here um there might be a better way of doing this to be honest um than i’m doing now but um we just want to create a little bit of a tunnel that will lead us to the

Outside the volcano will make sure to do it properly uh later so like if we place some there we go okay so now we now we have our tunnel there we go there’s no source blocks in here so that should just dissipate so um we’ll just have

Like a maybe we’ll create like a little trapdoor or something later i’ll show you that later but just do be sure to build a uh just build an escape hatch essentially that you may uh that you may have to use at a certain point and it won’t ruin the aesthetics of

The inside the base at all so just do make sure that you can get out and we might even leave this quite a few blocks out so maybe like here and i’m sure that um i’m sure that that’ll be enough um there we go that’s perfect so what we’re

Going to be doing next now that we’ve completely covered our base in lava now that we’ve encapsulated it in lava and ultimately by the way we are going to want to just have lava flowing all the way down this tunnel here so um that we’re going to want to see lava as we

Drop down into here well we’ve got to shape the volcano and i think i’m actually going to start at the top and i’m i’m going to start at the top and i’m going to work my way down like i said i’m going for much more

Of a cone shape the only part of the volcano that we have to actually be able to see the lava in is the lava has to specifically be kind of like around this point here so um the the the mouth of the volcano the opening of the volcano

Doesn’t have to be very big at all it like i said it it just has to conceal the entrance really so um we’re definitely going to be shaping this a lot more of course but um as i mentioned the the top of the volcano really only has to be say probably about

This big here we’ll cover the entire top of this in with lava we might even add like a base to make it a little bit easier to place and i’m going to derive this shape i’m going to extend it down i’m i’m going to kind of like fan it out and

I’ll just show you what that looks like so that’s that’s the top of the volcano start with this and slowly extend the shape downwards and i’ll catalog the progress as i go through it just so that you guys aren’t completely in the dark so i’ve done a

Decent amount of work in shaping the volcano as you can see i have shrunk it a little bit because i didn’t need the entire area that i originally enclosed the volcano in i’ve not done very much work towards the back you can see the original walls here but hopefully you

Can get a kind of just on how i’m actually doing this because it is a very lengthy process and it is a little bit tedious but you can see how i’m slowly from the top and that will probably get a little bit more uh a little bit

Steeper i’m slowly building up the base and i’m kind of like meeting it in the middle but i might even add some trees around the volcano and i may even have some active lava as well so yeah it’s is it’s going to be pretty cool once it’s done so i have made a

Little bit more progress with the volcano ladies and gentlemen you can see that i have almost completely made the base shape for it now so we have used a lot of stone i’ve put a little bit more work into the front than the back of the volcano admittedly but i really do just

Want to show you the technique that you can use to make your own and now that we’ve got a pretty decent shape i feel as though that it’s time to get some different blocks so um i’m not 100 sure what i’m going to grab just yet but i i

Can certainly tell you that i’ll probably be grabbing some cobblestone i’ll be grabbing some slabs uh i might even be grabbing some like diorite and maybe even some uh and just some an inside just just some sort of different materials just to kind of decorate it a little bit and i i

Might make the volcano a little bit lighter at the top using the diorite and the cobble i’ll certainly add some stairs i’ll add some slabs i might even add a little bit of wall as well and i’ll show you what that looks like so towards the top of the volcano you can

See that i have used some diorite i’ve used some cobble occasionally this a few slabs uh some cobblestone wall some diorite wool and that really does just help to kind of just shape the top of the volcano a little bit and it does just add a little bit of variety

Something that might be cool i’m not 100 certain whether it whether it will be you know whether it will look great or not maybe you could even add a little bit of snow to the top of the volcano but we could use white carpet instead um i’m just using white carpet because i

Don’t want the snow to melt um but you could use actual proper snow if you did want to but i think that that would melt you could have like snow at the top of the volcano which would be kind of like a really cool contrast and you could

Have more so towards the bottom of the mountain i’m kind of thinking like something a little bit jungly so we can have a really really interesting layout uh i might add some more greenery at the base of the volcano i might add some vines and i might also add i think i’m

Almost certainly going to add some lava down the side of the volcano so that’s probably next okay so here we go i’m i’m going to definitely push some lava down the side of the volcano i’m just going gonna have it um spawn from this block here and i’ll just

See which way it goes so the lava should flow all the way down to the bottom or most of the way and will help it a little bit okay i’m pretty happy with that i didn’t even have to alter the lava at all it flows right away from the

Top from that one block all the way down to the bottom there into that gorge and i’m really really happy with that i i even like how it kind of settles on the side there i i really do quite like that it might look perhaps a little bit better if i do

Kind of shape these sides here using a little bit more um slabs just so that the lava isn’t so uh isn’t so it isn’t falling in such a minecraft way where it’s kind of like just it it might look a little bit better if it was perhaps kind of like shape just at

The sides a little bit but i’m actually very very happy with that um something else that i have to do is here right up at the top i think that the best way to to make the entrance of our volcano base is going to be to basically just put

Stone all the way around the top here i think that this is certainly the way to go just put stone all the way around the top i’ll i’ll encase the top of this in using stone to just just make like a a nice um just to make A nice flat surface just so that i can add lava to it i think that that is definitely the way that we’re going to go here so i can add the stone here here here and then if i just fill the top of this in i’m hoping that this doesn’t

Alter the love that we have down below too much um this this should be pretty good um obviously you’re gonna have to remember where that lava goes and if you place the lava so that it’s not actually flowing it should be quite easy to see

Where the entrance as you can see it all cut it will all converge in a spell place that block there it will all kind of converge here so you can kind of see where the actual entrance is um it’s i think it’s pretty

Much here if we can get it to um if we can make everywhere else still it won’t actually be able to be made still i don’t think where the entrance is so i think that it’s right there or it’s right there let’s um let’s just check that so it should be can you

See where those blocks kind of flow into here yes there we go this is the entrance so it should be quite easy to find so it’s there and if we put lava there then you can see where we have to be able to jump and you can actually

Reach that quite easily from here you’re going to have to do a little bit of parkour but that should be quite easy to do and you should be able to survive that quite nicely and it hasn’t altered the lava down there so we have our entrance we’ve got some of the a volcano

Actually uh decorated like i said i think i’m going to add a forest around the side of the bottom i’ll add some more effect using some stones and we’ll see how it looks i’m hoping that i’m not going to regret the forest i i think they all look cool i’m fingers crossed

So this is what the volcano looks like a little bit more i keep shaping it with these stairs and the slabs i’ve taken away some of the cobble i’m also using some regular stone now as you can see i’ve added some uh i’ve added some trees around the base of the volcano actually

Pretty happy with it i don’t think that i’m going to do it all the way around as i said i just want to show you guys how you make your very own volcano base so i don’t really really want to spend loads and loads and loads and loads of time um

I will almost certainly populate the entire back of the volcano with trees though just so that it does look good but i don’t think that i am going to spend an insane amount of time shaping the back of the volcano but just to show you i mean this is this is pretty

Awesome this this is pretty much what you’re going to want to have so this is the last little checking that i’m going to do i’m just going to like i said i’m going to fill in the back of the volcano i think i’m also going to figure out the

Hidden exit to the volcano as well and then i guess we can start working on the inside finally so this is the final result i’m very very happy with this i have the lava i have a good shape to the volcano we have a nice forest surrounding the base of the volcano

Obviously if we don’t want it to look ever so suspicious we would expand the forest out a little bit but i i think they might already look a little bit suspicious in the fact that we have used quite a few blocks to shape the top of

The volcano now when it comes to getting in and out the volcano as you guys know the way that you get in it’s all the way up at the top here you can actually quite plainly see how one would get in there is it’s right there it’s almost

Like it’s almost pointing you directly into the entrance but how do you get out once you are in now i have added a safety measure and the safety measure is actually really really hard to find it’s encompassed in the forest now if i’m on ah there we go i only just

Managed to spike there um we have a little trapdoor here that you can see so at this all don’t it’s completely up to you you might find another way out of here but um this little trapdoor here will actually lead you oh i didn’t heard of another ladder there will actually

Lead you into the volcano base so this will actually get you in and out but if you’re gonna be hardcore you’re probably not going to want to include that but that is just a safety measure if you need it you could even use some redstone as well and make it

Completely seamless and um yeah that’s that’s the outside the volcano guys the next thing that i’m going to do is i’m i’m actually going to work my way all the way into the base now and hang on let me find the entrance it is here i’m actually going to work my way

Inside the base and i’m gonna decorate it for you and i’ll show you what this entire base looks like once it has been fully furnished uh just to give you guys some ideas on what you may or may not want to do with yours so this is what your secret hidden volcano base

Will look like once it has been 100 percent fully completed as you can see the volcano is seamlessly added into the environment it actually doesn’t look a mess up here despite the fact that we have decorated the top of the volcano with some other

Blocks but if we did just make it out of stone and if there weren’t any trees it would actually look very very natural i have decorated the inside of the base for you as well i would like to show you that we just have to whoop jump

Into the top of our volcano slowly fall into our base enjoy the way down i’m envisioning elevator music right now but this is how i have it laid out and do feel free to change anything that you like but we have a really cool underground farm i

Really love this i we’ve got the mushrooms we’ve got the wheat we’ve got the never wart we’ve got an ender chest right there just in case we need it right away we’ve got armor we’ve got uh storage we’ve got a little bit of compost we can see the lava surrounding

Us above us left and right as we walk through we there’s just all around us it’s so cool it’s such a great feeling here we have a giant smelting room of all different kinds we’ve got uh loads of decorations with the flowers we’ve got armor in the corner our staircases

Are nicely decorated as well we have glass panels in the rooms we have a nice giant brewing room with lots of storage and the room is decorated in the same sort of way we have all of the glass that we need to provide loads and loads

Of light to make it look really cool down here um we have uh on the ground level we have an enchanting room we’ve got more armor we have an anvil we can walk through into the final room of our build which is going to be the bedroom

Where we have our over ender chest we have some storage we have all of the crafting implements that we need we have even more storage we have armor we have everything that we could possibly desire we even have a never portal down here what that’s right we have a never portal

In our underground hidden volcano base and if we want to leave at any point in time we can leave by strategically using never portals by the way which i’m sure that you guys can imagine how that works if you have a couple of different portals in the nether obviously you

Would be able to jump out of this base uh using the never portal and in the nether if you have another portal set up it can take you to a different location so there is other ways out of here but um the tried and true very very simple way

Is to have a tunnel that just leads you hidden into the side of the volcano nobody will be able to really find that unless they are looking for it and that will take you in and out very very easily so you may want to use some redstone contraption there that will
