Minecraft Tutorial: Modern Garden Landscape Design Ideas (Modern House Build Ep. 22)

Well hello there my fellow miners and crafters good time so Scott here bringing you another creative fun time episode with Skaar as we continue to move in this amazing modern house and in today’s episode we are going to work on the front yard so we’re gonna have to

Put our garden and hat on we’re gonna make trees and lungs and had you work on all sorts of other great stuff so let’s get this episode underway alright welcome back to our amazing modern house and look at this thing it is nearing completion so in today’s episode like I

Said we are going to work on the front yard we’re gonna build pathways and hedge works and all sorts of other great stuff but let’s take a look at what we did in our last episode here is our horse garage so we’ve got our horses all

Parked in here we’ve got our supplies on our shelves and decorations and all that stuff we’ve got an awesome garage door looks amazing works like a charm and yeah so we got some decorations over here and all ready to go so let’s just pop in the house real quick and I want

To show you guys the backyard real quick which maybe I should have just flown over but as you can see outside we are ready for our swimming pool and all sorts of amazing things we want to build out there like barbecues and different things like that maybe even some type of

Sports sporting activity what do you guys think should we build some type of tennis court or basketball court or something out there we have a lot of room so you can think of any other kind of a sporting event out there we could put out there definitely let me know

That would be kind of fun to build but like I said we are gonna work on our front yard so what we’re gonna do here is we’re gonna start our pathway and what we’re going to use for our pathway is clay and I think it’s kind of a different little

Thing it’s not something I you know I would like to but it’s not something I would use in a survival build but for this we can use different things that we might not otherwise use in our survivor boat so that’s what’s the fun part about this series is we get to do different

Things that we don’t usually get to do in the constraints of a survival world so we’re just gonna try a couple different things like that using material that we don’t always use so it’s not like we’re gonna use diamond blocks or something along those lines because that would look ridiculous but

Something like this wouldn’t be too practical in okay so I’m gonna bring this out one more block here and then I’m gonna go or like oops I go like that three I think it’s three what do you think three so I want this to kind of curve here a little

Bit so it’s not just a straight shot boom goes continue to work on this a little bit here let’s see here mmm I’m actually gonna go like that there we go I think I think something like that’s probably good yeah that’s good yeah let’s go one more out no actually I

Think I’m gonna call it there I’m gonna call it there just so it has a little bit of a curve to it so it’s not just a straight shot there we go I like that I think that’s nice let’s just get a quick look at that so actually measured it out

A little bit I want I don’t want to go any farther than here to where we’re gonna build a sidewalk so I’m just gonna click here so dig this oh the way out and yeah so I took a little while here to kind of flatten out the train to make

It a little bit nicer for our needs as you can see this actually the water used to be about right there but I pushed the dirt a little bit farther so our little lake or a little lake got a lot smaller but I think it’ll give it a nicer feel

For the front of the house a bigger lawn and things of that nature all right there we go I think that’s good you probably go out maybe one more for now and yeah I like that okay so let’s like take out our spruce leaves actually no no first we’re going

To make a little border here yeah that’s right I was thinking what we could do with this pod soil is this is art dirt so we’re just gonna bring that out like so and then we’re going to take out our leaves and we’re gonna run those across there

We’re gonna take you out in the middle there we go and yeah so I think this is all gonna come out pretty nice if you guys definitely have any ideas of you know lawns or plants or different things you guys think would be awesome in here definitely let me know because you know

I have a few ideas but I’m just kind of running off imagination as we kind of go I kind of had the path lined up and stuff like that but for the trees and things like that I was I was thinking we could do maybe uh maybe an olive tree

Type designed for our trees in this so thinking about that so what we would do is we would take out virtual ease and maybe the new I always forget that would the orange would the orange would so it has that darker it has that light gray

Color to it I think that might make a nice olive tree go perfect and let’s run back on over here and finish this side here and yeah look at this I think it’s starting to no he’s already over here taking a look at things that’s no other than Bob the building inspector creeper

Where’d he go I knew he was in here looking around I saw him sneaking he’s sneaking about he’s sneaking around keep an eye on him jelly keep an eye on him jelly I know he’s around you almost took our entire house out in the last episode of scarlet weren’t quite up to code

So it’s death to you all right there we go I like that I think that looks pretty nice that makes a nice pathway along here but then you know as I’m looking here I’ve got inspiration and you know what hat means take it out I’m gonna

Back it up one block here there we go yeah so we can plant something there maybe some flowers or something along those lines there we go never fear never fear to destroy what you’ve made I think that’s something that that I always used to struggle with

A little bit in art or just in the start of playing Minecraft is if you see something that’s not quite right and you think man you know that was incredibly simple but if this house needed to move a block over I might even just do it

Just just to do it you know so never be never be a fearful of just knocking down what you’ve built and trying something a little bit better try to increase the the appeal of it make it look a little nicer plus the design a little bit there

We go perfect okay good I like that so far so now let’s just take a little break a break from that and I am going to take out this block here and what we’re gonna do here is I’m gonna decide where I want a place as I think go right there

So what we’re going to do here is we’re just gonna build a little sidewalk that runs along the side of our house and then from here what we’re gonna do is pretty cool we’re going to create kind of a hedge work fence but what the support we’re gonna use for a

Hedge of work fence is closed box so I think it’ll look pretty nice ice blocks at me there we go yeah that’s right so sorry if my voice is a little bit bad today is whenever I’ve whenever I get weak you know something’s been going on

For the last couple months now and it’s I get these small I don’t know if they’re infections or something and I get really a key to have a small fever and when that happens I get really weak and one of the things that goes out is

My voice it gets really kind of grindy it’s the muscles get weak in there and saliva kind of can pool up there and it’s just sounds like I’m grinding so I apologize about that I apologize there we go and let’s see I’m gonna make this come out one more there perfect there we

Go no no no that’s not correct no there we go that’s what we want perfect good okay so we got that and now I’m also thinking about maybe making the sidewalk go out here just a little bit too and then of course we’ll run that out this way a

Little bit more so no so this is just like a little sidewalk that runs along the house there we go so it’s not really connected to too much but it’ll be there just adding a little bit of placemaking to make it look a little bit more believable as a house there we go

Okay there we go perfect so give me one second let me catch my breath in that we’re gonna make one super awesome fence all right welcome back so as I was kind of catching my breath here I decided to do this side of the fence so you can

Kind of get a good look at what we’re going to do so what we have here is the glass block to high with a slab of dark chocolate on the top and then spruce leaves too high then space three then two more and then repeat the process

Across here so I think that kind of creates kind of you cool little design for a hedge work fence so we’re going to continue that across here so it’s going to bring that out to here and then we’re flying on over here and then place our nuts down

And a slab of chocolate to top it off so what we might do when we build our flowerbeds on the other side of the fence which I was kind of thinking about doing some on the front you know just give this an extra you know layer of

Lots of little babies out there um I was thinking about you know doing another flowerbed across here but I thought I’d push up the fence right against the sidewalk there don’t want anybody missing without flowers alright so put that there and then yeah so we’re just continue this process across here and

Then we’ll link it up on the other side of our house over there so we had that spot right there so then we’ll just continue this across here and I think it that’s kind of a nice little uh unique kind of oh that’s not right nice unique

Modern kind of fence design I think it’s kind of cool it’s kind of cool I really like ice I’ve been trying to use ice a little bit more on some of my builds and yeah I really like it yeah I really like it you know what I’ve been trying to shy

Away I don’t know if you guys have been also but from using any standard glass in new builds and what I mean by that is I’ve been trying to use more stained glass such as the you know the light gray or the white I think it looks

Better than you know just your standard how we’re gonna do it right here maybe something like that yeah let’s do something like that film yeah so I’ve been using that I think it looks better than the standard glass none if you’re not using a texture pack use using

Default so I’ve been trying to replace some of the glass and Scarl and with that too so when Scarlets up for download and all when people come on maybe they’re not running my texture pack that goes with garland that they you know still have a decent experience

We’re looking at some of the glass because it’s not that hideous corroded looking glass that we currently have in Minecraft that you know come on I mean every texture pack there is changes laughs you think maybe minecraft dudes would say you know I think hourglass is

Ugly maybe we should change it you know we could always hope death that’s gonna happen unfortunately I don’t think there is a texture pack correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure there are no texture packs out there that don’t address the glass in some way or another

You know even ones that are just you know just a small change here or there I they all do something to the class and rightfully so rightfully so never been a fan as long as mine crests been around us that glass okay now you know it it’s

All kind of corroded looking it looks like it’s been like sitting out and now it looks like a car like where I live a lot of times the people when they’re tired of a car they’d like to just kind of drive it into the the into the field

And it just sits there for like you know a couple months years and then the glass becomes all kind of frosty corroded looking all right so I’m just gonna make this little little cap and cap type thing across here there we go I think that looks nice okay perfect and then

What do you say about just another set of pillars on this side – there we go perfect all right there we go I like that I like that a lot I think that is very nice so what we could do now a little bit here is we can grab a little

Bit of pots oil and this is where we’re going to plant all of our flowers on this so this will be kind of our barrier between oh and then let’s talk about the lawn a little bit here my voice is pretty bad apologize about that hmm so

What we want to do for the lawn is I am I’ve asked this before and a lot of people really like the Harding play design now if you remember correctly we had a hardened we had a lawn design we did in Scotland and it was kind of iffy

You know some people liked it some people didn’t like it and it was before the before the implementation Oh a heart and clay that we did do that design so all along I want you guys to give me a couple of suggestions should we do what

We did in scar land with the leaves or should we do and trying to decide how how far I want to make my pattern to go out here or should we you know maybe shy away from our leave design that we did in scarlet and go for maybe the hardened

Clay with the two types of colors that’s a more common lon so definitely you know which one you guys like I was also experimenting possibly with a few carpet blocks on top of it but they just they just didn’t quite come out the way I wanted so

Definitely look at that pretty soon too and yeah so let me finish this up and out bu right alright and welcome back taking a look from above here so what I’ve done now is I’ve cleared out all the places where we’re going to put the lawn and I surrounded it with our plant

Soil so we got that all kind of loaded up and ready to go there and as you can see we fly on over here and you can see we have a giant lawn over here which will be look really amazing and then right here so I took a little time while

Building here to come up with some ideas so I’m thinking right here actually I probably need to bring that out one more maybe something like that to kind of even that up a little bit we’ll work on that but we’ll probably put kind of a pillar tree right here to kind of an

Anchor tree that kind of anchors the corners of the house and then maybe something cool in the middle here and then maybe another anchor tree right there and then I’m thinking some decorative trees along here so we’ll do those in the next episode just some bushes in this area bushes along here of

Course and then yeah so we’ll do some nice some nice little decorative trees along here at the entrance to the house and then another pillar tree over there and some things of that nature so let’s actually take a few minutes here and let’s grab out booze or remove you for

Now so let’s just add some decorations over here so I think this area could use a little bit of something like this so it Pat some plants along there and then place those guys right there and there it is there’s got bone meal so grilled those up to be a big old food

And yeah I like that it looks nice so then we can fly on over here and then just add some more right there so I think that looks pretty good I think that old make this area look a little bit nicer so put those right there Oh

Hmm I don’t know I don’t know we’ll see about that we’ll see about that corner right there because it kind of takes away from that area so we can just put these pillars up here like so there we go and bring that guy up one more there we go now is that

Villager done painting up there yet he has been up there forever paintin up all right and then put that right there and you go right there and then let’s continue that design on over here yes I think this is starting to look pretty good

We have done quite a bit so this is one of those episodes where we’re a large chunk has changed so if you go back to the beginning episode now I’ll be I’ll still be here so if you go back and then look at this land before I always like

To go back and kind of see oh it was just this big flat green field now we got some some shapes and some geometry going here so it looks pretty cool there we go yeah I like that I like that a lot so we could fly on over here now and one

Thing we can do here is maybe just put in a couple just you know kind of random bushes along here maybe and then you know just add a couple extra flowers here there and yeah there we go so we can kind of continue that design over here a little bit maybe maybe

Instead of putting those that bush there maybe we could do a couple of these guys kind of right over here just as some extra little bushes and then we could plan a couple of these in here there we go one of those guys and then we can

Also look around in here for some other flowers like this one here and we could stick you here too there we go and yeah we could just add some more of these guys in and around here so maybe a bush there so it’s not it’s not hugely symmetrical you know

We’re trying to at least what my thoughts here were to kind of keep it a little bit haphazard a little bit I do want to add a little bit of color other than just the greens and then whites of the flowers so kind of go in there a little

Bit and see what kind of color we can actually add in these areas but yeah so just add a couple you know flowers here or there make sure it looks nice there we go and then stick a couple of these push it in here like that and let’s see

It was I could put like a couple burns up there maybe another firm right there and yeah I think that is starting to look pretty darn awesome so in the next episode we’ll definitely get those amazing trees planted up and all sorts of other cool things like the lawn so
