Hey guys and welcome back to raptorplex gaming so today we’re not doing a gaming video but we’re doing something just as great so i’m sure all of you have heard that minecraft has finally come to the quest to unofficially but i mean it’s still pretty great first You’ll want to go to this github website the link is in the description this website is where you obtain the um the appropriate files needed to get the game on your request too so you’ll need the app debug.apk so download that and then you need the extract to root.zip so download that Now once those have downloaded you’ll want to bring them over onto your desktop once these are on here you’ll also want to make sure this android folder is extracted next you’ll want to go to sidequest so that we can get everything downloaded onto the quest The first thing we want to do once we get sidequest opened up is of course connect the quest to to your computer you’ll get a message pop-up that says allow access to data don’t be alarmed um it’s just so that you can transfer data back and forth to your computer from your oculus You do want to allow that so press the blue button to allow once you’re finished allowing the computer to connect to your quest to you will now see that on site quest there is a green dot indicating that your quest to is connected so what we will want to do is This little box here with the arrow pointing down it says install apk file from folder on computer this is exactly what we want to do so you’ll click on that and then it’ll bring up a window so that you can locate that apk file that you just downloaded and it’s on my desktop And right here it is so we’ll just click that and then open uh once you click open it’ll run through uh the process of transferring that file over to the quest to and at the bottom of sidequest you’ll see the green bar and once it’s finished it’ll say process complete or something along Those lines you will then go to a file manager of your choice so that you can manage the files on your quest to now i use a mac so i use this thing i don’t know what it’s called android file transfer i use this to do all of my File management work just because it just i don’t know it’s all there crisp it’s clean you’ll want to take this file that you have on your desktop the android file and you want to drag it over and don’t drop it anywhere on here because it may go into another folder Drop it down here where it’s open or if you’re on a windows computer just find somewhere that’s open drop it into it when you do drag that android folder over it will pop up a message and ask if you would like to replace the existing files you do want to replace those files Once you’re finished transferring and replacing that android folder you are basically finished with the computer so let me put the headset on and i will be right back hey nice to see you again alright so now that we have everything we need on the quest to to get minecraft working All you have to do now is go to this little menu all the way down to unknown sources and then it’s pojab launcher i think it’s how it’s pronounced don’t hold me to that anyways click on that and of course let me get signed in and i’ll be right back So once you do get to this launcher window you would go to settings video and renderer and then you want to go to renderer and then make sure it’s this one that you you want this one once you select that you can go back Actually you don’t need to do anything else in the settings you go down here to this little box it’s hard to see click on that and you’ll want to scroll all the way down to the bottom and click fabric loader once that’s selected go back out here hit play and then you wait You will also have this issue a lot it’s not really an issue um it’s pretty much just the game loading i mean we are running java edition minecraft on a quest 2 so this is to be expected it’ll do this it’ll do this and load for a while and then there we’re in When you first start out in the game it does lag a little bit give it time um it eventually speeds up while you’re in your settings make sure that okay so these settings work for me so if you want to look at these and maybe like copy them I don’t think there’s anything down here maybe yeah there’s some these are the settings i went with and it runs buttery smooth you all have a beautiful day and i’ll see you next time Video Information

**This method is now outdated. The process has got easier. Just click the download button in sidequest, it’ll automatically download everything needed onto the Quest 2. **
When I tried installing QuestCraft on my Quest 2, I had the hardest time, mainly because all the tutorials I found online were confusing. So I made a simple tutorial, I go through every step and show you what is needed and how to do it.
