Minecraft: Wizard Tower & Farm House Tour

Well but I guess the main tour of the tower as it’s called will be my farm now I’ve spent the past couple of weeks preparing the farm making sure it works how I want it to I’ve almost got it perfect but the feature that I’d like it

To have can’t be done on a multiplayer server and it would be too big to do in survival in my tower anyway so firstly what I’m going to do is I’m going to go through each of the farms and then I’ll show you the Redstone behind them so the

First one is a wheat farm now I have a little chest here with stone hose and seeds just in case the farm is fairly basic all of this is tilled soil behind these two glow stone blocks is water and the rest behind there is wood except for a block under

It which is a piston which I’ll show you later and when the lever farming lever at the bottom is hit the water comes out on top of this block and spreads across this whole area pushing all the seeds and all the wheat down to that section

Over there the signs here are to stop water from flowing into here it would cause the water here to go back up instead of directly into there so that’s that farm I do have windows and torches to make sure it stays light but I am planning on replacing these torches with

Glowstone if I can figure out an efficient clean way of placing them so that’s farm number one next farm reads now this one was a little annoying to make mainly because reads while easy to organize the Redstone behind them does take up a lot of space so the farm goes

All around the edges of this level and again the water goes down to the bottom so that any reads I do pick up any reads the drop can be picked up from same spot as the wheat I have all of these doors set as private so that nobody gets into

My farms although even though there is wood and people could just play break through it next we have pumpkin and melon farm now this one was probably the easiest to do just because a redstone is so simple we’ve even got a manual override because these ones definitely

Grow faster than wheat I’ll show you the manual override last because it seems to also affect reads for some reason I might have to add an extra repeater up this ladder I have a little enchanting room I might move the glowstone up one more and put more bookshelves along

There but I’ll show you why i haven’t in a second and of course the last room going through here is just the library I’m still collecting the reads for it reads take a long time to grow that’s why I’ve replaced them dirt with sand as

You might have seen in the reeds farm of course there’s no way to get directly into the enchanting room and that’s so that you get full cover of bookshelves on your enchanted items depending on how I place the bookshelves here i might add more windows but i have this very nice

Window up here showing the lovely snow that is available out there someone’s been on burning leaves or something so now we’re going to go back to the start and I’m going to show you the Redstone that why is all of this up so when this lever is

Hit all three farms go off the wheat and the reeds drop to this spot here and the Pistons along the pumpkin and melon farm effect that independently and it’s a little more effort to pick those up so here is the red stone for the wheat farm

Nice and simple the lever comes up here goes along to the two pistons and also up to this to affect the next level so up we go there’s a wheat farm there now the red stone for the next level so this is each of these go into torch and each

Of the torches affects a line of redstone which affects more torches which affect pistons and there’s also another line as you can see here so these go to the Pistons here and then above this there’s more redstone for another line of pistons and the red

Stone goes up along here if I go through here again to this torch here which goes up to those second pistons and then further up to the Pistons for the pumpkin and melon farm now I did sort of steel the pumpkin and melon idea off Antvenom because it’s such a basic way

Of doing it the red stone looks pretty similar down here to the red farm that’s from the manual override this redstone comes from the little tower that’s in there coming from the previous level and along here to each of these Pistons which push up the dirt under each

Pumpkin or melon and therefore breaking them so time to go down to the bottom and hit my farming lever now what I wanted to do originally was make it into a button where when it’s pressed it holds a redstone signal for 20-30 seconds as long as is needed for the

Resources to be pushed down along the water then once it’s done to retract back to no signal but as I said before it would take too much red stone and there’s just not enough space on that level so once that’s been farmed nice empty area here where I could replant

Wheat farm obviously these are where the Pistons are pushed all the resources into the water there’s ice right there so that the resources can simply slide from one block to another so that water down there doesn’t return back into here and then lastly that same redstone

Signal came up to this pumpkin and melon farm and knocked each of these as I said before I have a manual override here so if I if the weight isn’t ready yet and I want these resources quickly and here the button Pistons go up and down I pick

Up the resources and that’s it so below you can see from the pumpkin to the seeds how much i get from each of my farms but what I have noticed if I go back down here is that when i plant i actually use up more than a stack of

Seeds so i’m going to quickly plant everything here you wouldn’t believe how glad I am that in 1.1 if you walk normally you don’t trample crops you have to actually jump on them for it to do it for it to do any damage and that helps especially for

Large farms because then you don’t have to crouch along the whole way or have a path going over it or something so that you don’t trample where you’ve placed your app so that’s a stack placed already and then there’s another one two three four so I get 62 wheat out of

Effectively 68 seeds I don’t know why that is even though all of this grew fully but that’s the way it is and also under here I am expanding my storage room in case I have more stone and other resources I I will eventually do a mod

Mod review of all the mods i have installed and i have quite a lot of them but i’ll just give a quick sneak peek here all sorted i don’t know if there’s a thing in this one right empty chest so down here I do have some minds other
