Hey everyone welcome back to geet builds i am geet creator and founder of both minecraft and cheese wheels so today’s video is a survival friendly map main world painter for this week’s subscriber giveaway this week’s winner was ultra squid and for their map they won a floating island With another floating island in the middle but definitely wanted it to be for survival so i hopped into world painter and made the map and started thinking of ways that i could make sure the map was survival friendly usually that means that the map has ores And trees which are both easy to do with world painter but also usually means the map needs to have a way to get to both the nether and the end the nether isn’t too hard to deal with since lava water and diamonds will all spawn naturally in a world painter map But a stronghold won’t be on the map so there won’t be an easy way to get to the end without creating a stronghold myself so some help from the subscribers in my discord i had the inspiration to make a jungle temple that would have a way to get to the end And have another portal underneath it but you’ll see me build that in a bit and if you haven’t done so already make sure to like this video it helps me grow and get more people into the geek builds community and also if you want to play On this map the download will be down in the description i’ll also have the link to my instagram down there as well if you want to follow me over there as well as a link to the keep builds discord group it’s a pretty lively group So come join us and share in the fun and thank you so much to everyone who has subscribed to the channel and become a geedle it’s only been two months i’ve already hit 240 subscribers which is just insane to me that so many people have discovered me so quickly And if you want to be a guido too just hit the subscribe button and comment down below so i can enter you into the giveaway and win a custom map like this for yourself every week i choose one of my subscribers and make them a 1k 1k map of their choosing So if you haven’t entered already just comment that you’d like to enter and how i can best reach out to you so back to the video so far we’ve made basically all of the terrain in world painter and i used a cave layer to cut off the bottom of the islands so that They’ll be floating high above the ocean and right now i’m going around and painting the terrain with the blocks that’ll appear in game as well as smoothing out areas for rivers and streams that are run off the side of the islands and be waterfalls that drop into the ocean And i thought it would be cool for this map to have some different distinct areas around it so on the outer island i chose desert canyons for one side of the map and stone forest for the other with some pretty normal pine forest in between them and then the middle island Is a bit higher than the outer island it has a lake in the middle with an island in the center of that and raised cliffs on each of the four corners that all have their own waterfalls and i used some desert savannah type trees and placed them around the desert Area so it wouldn’t be too empty and boring and use jungle trees around the stone forest on the other side just so that the map would have a bit of diversity and might be a bit more fun to play on in the forest areas i included some boulder and rock schematics as well And tree stumps and log schematics too and it really helps make the map feel crowded and lively since personally i think the biggest problem with vanilla minecraft is that no matter what it just sort of feels a bit empty and finally we’re in the game so right Away i knew i had to build two things one was the jungle temple with the end portal and another portal that i talked about earlier and the other was a way to get between the islands since it’s a survival map you can’t just fly across like normal And i wanted the theme of this build to be a little less medieval than what i’ve been building a lot recently with castle from a couple videos ago the hammers the week after that and with all the building i’ve been doing at wood harris which if you Haven’t heard of before it’s a medieval city project i’ve been working on i’ve already got a couple videos where i build and walk around wood harris so you can check those out after this if you want to see that i’ve got about 12 hours of building in the city since my last video So a good bit of new stuff has been added and i’ll do an update video about that in the near future the near future usually ends up being like a month from me so you can stay comfortably far away from the edge of your seat for now So the bridge is nice and curved between the two sides and has an indiana jones vibe to it which i think matches the temple really well i did vines bring up the support towers and have lanterns hanging down to light it up which looks really pretty at night And so for the temple i wanted to be pretty generally a pyramid structure so i did the outline of the building with orange wool and then used a mask to turn the orange bowl into a pattern of stone bricks crack stone bricks and mossy stone bricks to give it a run down ancient Feeling and build tiny towers on all four corners and then put the end portal at the very top of the pyramid the nether portal is down below the pyramid in a dugout area and all in all i think it’s a really cool little custom jungle temple and Then after i did the temple i did some pretty quick terraforming to make it fit into the land and not look so copy pasted on so i built some tiny clips overrun with leaves and vines and then added grass and friends around it as well and then i built a broken down stone Bridge between the temple and the shore on the other side which has parts of it falling down into the lake as if it hasn’t been taken care of in a super long time so to get across you do a little parkour and jump from one section to the other Which is a lot more fun than just swimming across a boring old lake so the rest of the video will be nice peaceful cinematic shots of the map i’ll also do a tour of the temple so you can see where the inside looks like It’s pretty cool and i try to give it a hidden movie tumble vibe for the interior so stick around to see that if you enjoyed the video be a good girl and drop a like and comment what you think of the map and remember every like is one glass of Water that geet will drink because i’m super dehydrated and haven’t had any water today so please help and if this gets 6 million likes i’ll post a video of me doing a super cool skateboard trick so let me know what you think if you like the build or if you played on the Map and can think of things to improve i don’t really ever play survival so i might have missed something important here that could make the next survival map i do way better so watch the rest of the video if you enjoy it maybe check out some other videos And i’ll see you next time peace So You Video Information
