Minecraft Xbox – Decay Challenge – Battle Mini-game

Hello this is stampy and welcome to a minecraft let’s play video today i’m doing a another challenge in the battle mini game and if you didn’t know there has been a really big update that has come to both the the tumble and either the battle mini game and i’m gonna be

Playing around for the first time ever with some of the the brand new settings so basically they’ve added a whole new menu down here where we can change a whole load of interesting settings so i have set something up pretty simple just called the decayed challenge so

Uh okay i’ll show you after this game but basically the settings are we have three lives and all of the weapons we pick up or armor or anything we pick up from a chest is going to be really deteriorated really decayed basically meaning now if you get a good sword it’s

Good but you’re certainly going to last you for a little bit because then it’s probably going to go and break away so yeah apart from that the game is pretty much normal we’re playing with long rounds but the other big thing is the fact that we have three lives which is

Something that we were never able to really play around with before normally you die and you’re out this time you’re going to actually respawn and i’ve literally only just loaded this up now i did have just a tester game then while i was waiting for people to join in but i

Didn’t die in it so i haven’t experienced what respawning is going to be like i don’t know if you’re going to start off in the middle of the map or on the outskirts or something so this is really going to be my first time testing it out and oh we have a full

Game we have a follow-up game look at all of these people we are going to test it in style for my first proper game of this so right let’s grab as much as we can we really want to get loads because as you can see i have a pickaxe and a

Bow which would be great and well it’s great but i know it’s not going to last very long it’s going to break pretty sharpies and there’s there’s someone chasing me down so i might have a strength potion now and then just be ready to fight this person at all they

Got iron armor the thing is with the armor though is a lot of the time if you see someone with it and i think it happened there yeah it’s gonna break before you can get it because it only lasts for a tiny amount of time it means that if you’re attacking them you’re

Probably going to break their armor off before you take them out which means you can’t really take anyone else’s armor which is not too bad of a thing considering you are still taking them out at the same time but that rhino fellow who i

Just took out he is not out of the game he has just lost one life but he will be returning and i think this is actually a really good mix i think the the problem with the the whole having several lives is if you die and then respawn

You’re going to be coming back with absolutely nothing whereas everyone else is going to have a bunch of really good oh no i was so sure i was going to get them i was so sure i was going to get them so okay looks like i respond near

The middle there’s somebody else around here but yeah it’s good because oh let me steal this chest i don’t want to never get it anyway so yeah the the way it’s going to work is that if you respawn it doesn’t really matter too much that you don’t have such good items

Because everyone else’s items aren’t going to last for a very long time anyway so i think this might actually be a a nice mix of mode and with this many players it seems to be a little bit like chaos so right i have just jumped back in all

Of the the chess are going to to be respawning so even though i have nothing right now i do have a chance to grab something and oh oh this is all my stuff again oh they weren’t able to get old they weren’t able to to pick up all of my stuff okay

This is good i now have a bit of a better chance i need to get some better arrow shots if i can oh they’ve got regeneration on them as well so that’s not going to make things easier i don’t know that’s my bogon that’s my go go no

But they were weak they were weak i was able to take them out so let’s go and eat up these apples to get my hunger back up and i really want another bow what i could actually do is if i put these arrows in my second hand look at

Me using fantastic advanced techniques then that way it just basically means i’m not taking up a space in my inventory uh which means i should be able to pick up more goodies and this is actually a case where you really would like to have more more room in your in

Your inventory uh just because you’re going to need to pick up more stuff because it’s going to keep breaking and that is actually one of the the other settings that you can change you can make it so that you can have a full inventory because at the moment you

Really just have your little quick select down here you could set it so you have like your entire inventory basically just like how you normally would if you were just playing minecraft normally i don’t really like that though because i love like how fast and streamlined this

Version of the the game is but if you kind of wish it was more like i guess pc hunger games then uh that is definitely something that you could do but anyway let’s go down here there’s normally a chest at the back of the the train so

Let me go and grab this and then let me go on a hunt let me go and see if i can take other people out because the other big thing is because there are three lives i think there’s a good chance it’s going to to run out of time more often

Than not because basically everyone has to be taken out three times rather than once um it means that you know the chances the game’s gonna end with people still alive is just a lot more likely than it otherwise would be and oh look poison arrows i really want to grab

These i’ve never really used poison arrows before it’s just exciting to check them out right i’ve got loads and loads and loads of different types of arrows so i might grab this was there a um another bow inside of here there is let me grab this and let me just basically

Become an archer for the rest of this game if i can keep my range and just take everyone else out like that i think i might have a pretty good chance to to be able to win at all here here is everyone i have found all of the the

Players uh let me go i don’t know who to go for i’m like i’m like spoiled for choice right let’s go for you you seem to be on the outskirts at all i think i hit them with my with my poison arrow by the looks i think yep i was able to

Poison them they have some pretty good armor and i have some pretty awful aim but there we go i was able to take them out so that was good let’s back off a little bit and let’s try and continue using the the bow strategy they if they

Can’t get close to me then they can’t hurt me there are also some uh some iron leggings on the floor down here let’s go and grab them we can go and restock some of our arrow selection we can but oh no i’m poison i’m poison right go for the

Bow go for the bow if i can this person’s really sneaking up i know they got an enchanted bow they might be one of the the players that is uh is better equipped for the the bow battle so let’s go and run that inside of here see if i

Can back off i actually need something to to eat if i can at all i tricked them did you see that they ran in the house and out the other side but i was sneakily hiding upstairs so i think i should back off from the the middle for a little bit because that

Certainly seems to be where everyone is heading to and i need to get some food so one of the the other big settings that you can play around with is whether you get hungry and just you know the way that hunger works there’s loads of different settings that you can

Completely fine-tune there must be like i don’t know probably like hundreds of different combinations of settings that you could have so maybe for these longer rounds making it so food isn’t so much of a problem might be a good way to go and you can just kind of change all of

The settings in the middle of the the game i’ve also made it so when you spectate uh you look like a parrot rather than being a bat you’re a parrot no oh actually i might be honest this guy has obviously been in a fight so they have quite good stuff but they

Might be weak from whatever fight they’ve just been in at all i was able to scare them off so i think there’s a good chance that they they were weak should i chill they’re trying to eat they’re trying can i get them can i get

Them can i get them come on just die why are they dying god they must be so weak but look how hungry i am i’m so hungry i’m so hungry this isn’t good oh no i’m too hungry to run i’m too common let me

Just see if i can just get them can i finish them before they got any food please have food why don’t they have any food oh there we go apples apples apples apples get me give me the apples give me the apples there we go i got an apple

But this person might be about to take me out at least i had a little bit of food dirty i kind of just want to to hide and then just eat up all of my apples while i say all of my apples my two apples there we go i had another

Apple but this guy’s gonna get me no don’t do it don’t do it i’m a fellow cat i’m a fellow cow i hit there i hit there and there hello i got them i got them but no now there’s someone else coming i’ve already got two lives left as well

I’m down to one life remaining i’m down to one life remaining this is getting intense right i’m going to risk home for the middle because not only are the chests going to be refilled but there’s just going to be loot lying all over the floor everywhere let’s go and get this

Helmet uh i’ve got a bow i’ve got a bokeh that’s good i’m gonna bone a lot of arrows but uh i’ve only got one bow and this is kind of one of the cases where you’d want more than one bow and there we go i’ve got another bow what

About being chased is i’ve been chased by a creep all right there’s a big fight going on here let’s see if i can just kind of knock them all back if i can just keep pushing them back keep pushing them back there we go although one more

Only one of them’s got a sword actually so let’s go and try and take out the creeper first and then we can go for this cat fellow this is the person that took out me so i’m gonna go and try and get my revenge but i once again i need

Food food is uh is seeming to be one of my one of my biggest problems and admit it that was a nice shot you got a minute that was impressive right please be some food in this chest down here it’s all i need no food again let’s have this potion of healing let’s

Just get my my health up and let’s let’s maybe go for a walk rather than a run around the the outside here to see if i can get a chest because my hunger is going to be dropping down really fast and when you sprint and jump at stuff it

Goes down even more also when you’re healing so i need to be really really careful here because this is my final life i don’t want to die like this not after all of these epic battles i do not want to lose by starving that is such a

Sad way to to go out after all of this i don’t know there’s a chest up there but oh no there’s someone up there this isn’t going to work i’m going to die i’m going to start this is how i’m going to fail i’m just going to hide in this

Little house here and oh no the parrots are watching me through the window goodbye cruel world starved to death so the winner was rob’s one two six that was such a crazy intense game it was down to a 1v1 i think i think it was only them left so

I did i got i got eight kills i did two to eight hearts of damage so i by far did the most damage but you know what it doesn’t matter it matters diddley scott how much damage i did because i still lost all of the same right let’s do that

Again let’s do that again but let’s change the hunger settings to no starving they will never take starvation damage there we go i’m basically just changing this setting to how it should have been for me to be able to to win that game i didn’t know that was a lot of fun it

Was a bit laggy i will be honest um i am still playing on the the 360. one of the the problems is is that there’s way more people that are playing on 360 than ps4 or at least i find games much quicker on uh on 360 than ps4 and on

Xbox one it’s really like it’s almost impossible for me to ever find a game on xbox one sorry uh mainly because i think a lot of people have moved over to the bedrock version of whatever reason i just struggle connecting to people on the xbox one so i’m kind of i’m kind of

Here on 360. so maybe i should try doing it on the switch or something the only thing i don’t like doing on the the switch is because it doesn’t have my skin it doesn’t have the the proper stamping skin i know it doesn’t matter i know it literally doesn’t matter in any

Way i also don’t know how many people are playing on that so maybe i’ll try playing around on a few of the different consoles but yeah it’s not normally as laggy as it was there but it’s been a while since i’ve had such a a full chaotic

Game to be fair there were just people just running around everywhere even when they were taken out they’ll just pop straight back up again but we’re playing again now on temple and temple’s uh i’d say a much more contained map i don’t think it’s necessarily way smaller but

It’s it’s quite open of course apart from the big pyramid in the the middle so if anything i think this one’s going to be even more fast-paced than the last one and i am just going to avoid going to the middle because the middle is going to be chaos this middle area here

Forget it unless it’s right at the end of the game there’s hardly anyone left just forget it i am just gonna grab what i can here and then just go and hide on the outskirts somewhere and just do what i need to to do to survive at least i

Don’t need to worry about food so they still give you food but you can’t starve so i wonder how this uh how this is going to work and oh i think i might be being chased already is this person chasing me let me just show them that i have a diamond sword

And then maybe they’re they’re going to think twice so i just don’t want to fight because there’s no real point fighting at the beginning i just want to keep hold of my lies if i can so i have a whole load of harming potions and that

Should be enough to to take out someone if they get in my face well not if they get right in my face because then i’ll be hurting myself at the same time but yeah i should be able to do some a pretty nice damage against some of the

Other players with that but i kind of just don’t want to to waste it but all this person’s got some armor i could grab that as like some some spare armor if i can and so let’s save the diamond sword and let’s try and get them with

This stick hopefully i did enough damage oh no oh they’re going to get me they’re going to get me right i’ve got to use my harming potions i got to switch to harming potions they did way more damage against me than i expected and someone else is running in there let’s just get

Out of here right i guess i i might as well use the the diamond sword because i might be about to die otherwise we could maybe check the um the top of the volcano so i’m quite hungry at the the moment so is just my hunger not my sorry my health not going

To go up because of that because i can’t starve but i still need to eat food and my my health is like still going down so i just don’t really know how this works at all there’s like parkour i need to do to get to that chest isn’t there where

Do i oh no there’s someone here oh there’s two people here there’s a million people here there’s a million people why are they just i was the only one up here a second ago and i’m crouching now and i’m struggling down the stairs i could just write like at

Least i haven’t lost a life yet i’ve had like the least heroic game of the battle mini game ever but i still have all my lives i wonder i don’t think that was a good time to do but i wonder if i can check and see exactly how many lives

Everyone has because that would be a really handy thing to to do i don’t think i can i think i can just see who’s left in the the game and it looks like everyone is left in the game well there we go i’ve got a bow

If i get some arrows then i could maybe go back to my archer technique which worked pretty well and all that chest that i just left literally just refilled right now so let’s see if i can get any more any more goodies a helmet or something would be quite nice no nothing

Uh particularly great in there let’s just drink this invisibility potion mainly just to get rid of it because i don’t need it so another thing to bear in mind is if it ends up going to time whoever did the most damage is going to to win and i really haven’t done very

Much damage right now so if i do feel like it is going to go to time and there won’t be a winner then i’m gonna have to try and get super duper aggressive and maybe just really charge someone down someone’s uh someone’s around here though i don’t know if they

Have i don’t know if they have seen me yet there’s a ninja literally a ninja sneaking around here so let’s let’s maybe use the diamond i got one hit i got one here the diamond sword i don’t know here comes the rhino again it’s the rhino again take them out there’s a

Parrot just flying around as well it’s a proper jungle battle they’ve lost their armor they lost their rubber but no they got me i’m sure we were just using the same thing they just had to stick as well at least i was able to grab a bit

Of stuff from here but oh i think they just fell down i think that’s them is that the rhino i might be able to get immediate revenge here not because i’m like really aggressive and just want revenge but because they got all of the the good stuff they got the the combined

Loot of what we had and yes they are here they are here again right uh i got a bow oh no that’s not a rhino that’s a ninja oh let me yeah yeah shoot arrows at me shoot arrows at me and then i can grab them and shoot them back at you that’s

It yeah that’s it keep shooting keep giving me your arrows keep giving me your arrows they’ve actually got a lot of armor which i’d love to get but let’s let’s stock up on these arrows first and they’re kind of quite tunneled in here so it should be a a relatively easy shot whoa

Down in one admit it a minute that was pretty epic i got a poison potion here as well and as you know i absolutely love using poison potions in these battle mini games they are super effective so that’s going to be handy i’ve got some slowness arrows

In here as well might as well go and grab them if i get a a chance with some safety i might go and put them into my off hand let’s try and do it quickly now this might be a bad idea but there we go

I was able to do that then let’s grab this spare bow as well and oh there’s the ninja again i can see you and they don’t seem to have much good loot at least i’ve done some some nice damage now so if it does go down turn to time

At least i will have something to to show for for my effort or they just grabbed some good armor so let’s uh oh i try to get them with the poison but i miss them because of my awful aim this might be a good time to use one of these

Slowness arrows though while they’re they’re trying to run away if i can hear them there with the go i was able to hit them with the the slowness so now i should hopefully be able to to catch up with them and grab all of the the loot

That they they were just able to get from me another slowness arrow there we go another direct hit it’s so easy hitting them with arrows when i’m kind of shooting in this like little corridor which they have to to run through it looks like there’s still loads of

Players left if you look at the um the the lines at the bottom of the screen it looks like there’s still so many of us still running around here and inside of the the game which is surprising so i’m about to come up to a weird moment because i’m about to run

Out of hunger i got no food and i just don’t know what is going to to happen when i do run out of hunger because i’m not going to i’m not going to take damage is it just gonna become a case where i can’t sprint very fast which

Would still be really bad like you need to sprint in the battle mini game if you don’t play fast then you might as well not play at all so it would be bad but at least you’re not going to to starve to death like i did in the last round

And whoa jackpot hello let’s go oh someone’s someone’s splashing at me i think who was that who did that who splashed at me come on own up who’s splashing i can’t see where there i seem to be safe fall for now so let’s go and grab the poison potion harming potion

Harming potion and a harming potion i think actually i should probably get a melee weapon as well so let’s go and grab this sword right this will do i don’t want to to linger anymore i’m not actually full food food is there food there’s no food why is that what’s

What’s going on with the the food situation so you can change it so the chess have more food in them i believe but i don’t think i could do that and this kind of like decayed setting as well i think it’s kind of like one or

The the other and oh i got a lingering potion of harming that could be really effective right forget the the bow i think i’m going to be a a wizard for a little bit of a of a while you’re our wizard stampy and i think i’m going to go and

Really focus on using the the potion so uh let’s just see if i get some some food first just because i don’t want her to end up moving really slow that’s not going to end very well for me i’ve avoided the the middle for quite a while

Which can be a bit worrying because if everyone else is in the middle then they might be getting a whole bunch of better loot than me uh well i’m kind of here kind of by myself on the the outskirts but i haven’t seen anyone in a little

While since that that person tried to smash me it’s been relatively quiet at all there’s someone in the the middle i it might actually be a great time to use this lingering potion because people linger in the middle and if i can put this down oh no they oh no don’t be

Teamed up that is not the way we do things here it’s not fair to team up on me especially when you have ridiculous armor like that right it’s me in there there we go i was able to take them both out i think i think that was because of

The the potion i think that was how i was able to to get them both but let’s back off a little bit i just need food i just really need to to get some food if i can and i think there is some food there so let’s have this uh regeneration

Potion to keep me healthy and let’s go up against this guy here i don’t know they have an enchanted bow i need to dodge there we go i got some good dodgers in oh no but my thumb no it broke my pickaxe broke oh that was awful

Awful timing but we are playing the decaying rules so that’s kind of the way it’s going to go and i only have one life remaining so things are really dangerous now because if the other players are starting to to team up they’re not going to be losing any lives

Against each other they’re going to be just working together and it’s going to make my job much much more difficult like i did it even though they were teaming up and had basically a full set of iron armor i was still able to take them out but the

Chances of that happening to be honest are pretty slim because i got much worse stuff now and it just means that their lives aren’t gonna be going down at all because if they’re not fighting each other they’re gonna have a nice little stockpile of lives that they’re gonna be

Able to use against me and i am now down to my final life and a little bit terrified about it to be honest i do have another lingering harming potion and that seemed to work a treat uh last time i tried to use that so that is kind

Of i guess one of the the saving graces of the the situation at the moment sorry if my um if my like item selection has been a bit rubbish i’ve kind of just been doing everything really quickly and not even really focusing too much on what i’m

Picking up so if i’ve not been using the most effective tough the uh stuff the entire time like i’m just i’m just like scared i’m reading the comments in my head right now of like why did you leave those boots there or those things were better than that why didn’t you pick

That up it always happens i always try and go at 200 miles an hour when i play these games and end up making mistakes so i apologize for any mistakes that i have inevitably uh been making during this but anyway let’s go and put these poison oh stare dion who’s no

No we don’t no we don’t do that we don’t do that let’s put down some some nice healing down here some lingering healing just to keep me nice and healthy and then let’s put a a lingering harming to to make these people unhealthy there we

Go and just throw it into the the group of them let’s go after the rhino because he’s one of the ones that was teamed up early i don’t believe this cat character is teamed up with someone so let’s go and get them oh no they got me oh i

Didn’t even look like they were facing me it looked like they were facing the other way and i was shooting arrows it was too laggy that game was just about as crazy as i expected it was going to be though so who do we have left we have the flamingo

And sean winnie by the the looks of things as they’re the last two players so we have the um the the phoenix character and then we have the the cat i’m glad i don’t know if they were the ones i don’t the cat might have been t

Dog i don’t know if they were the ones that were teamed up though i’d feel happier if it was one of the the ones that weren’t i was able to take out six players in the game though i was still able to to set the record for for most

Players taken out even though if this video is going to be a i lost two games played and two games lost i did it’s because of the lives i think as well really made it very very difficult and teaming up and stuff and the lag but i could stand here listening off excuses

All day but the matter of the fact is sean willie was the winner and no sean yeah yeah sean winnie was the winner it’s in his name of course he should have won but i did 144 damage i am happy with that so right then i’m gonna do

Some future videos uh checking out some of the the other settings because there’s so many other things that you can play around with i think i won’t do it on 360 though because that was just too laggy i think it just really just reached its limit and just couldn’t

Handle that many players or respawning and items all over the floor and stuff so i will uh probably play on i’ll try pretty do under the ps4 and to see if it will work a little bit better there but still despite the lag that game was a
