Minecraft Xbox – Power Challenge – Battle Mini-game

Hello this is stampy and welcome to a minecraft let’s play video today i am playing on the battle mini game uh today i’m on the playstation 4. if you saw the last one i did it was on 360 and i think it’s time for me to admit that the xbox

360 might be a little bit too laggy for some of these games so i think i’m going to call the challenge today the the power challenge it’s kind of not really a challenge i’ve kind of just played around the the settings again which have come out in the recent update basically

You don’t know what it is you can change a whole load of settings in all of the the console editions apart from sadly the xbox one is the the only platform that didn’t get this update but it’s really cool so basically what i’ve set up is a relatively normal

Game we have one life one round um i changed the spectator so when you spectate you’re gonna look like the head of the skin you are which is something that i’m i’m looking forward to flying around as a little stampy cat head but the big thing the reason this is called

The power challenge is i’ve said it so all of the loot is ridiculously powerful so rather than getting wooden shovels and wooden swords and maybe a stone shovel if we’re lucky in leather armor and stuff forget that we’re gonna be getting diamond stuff we’re gonna be

Getting potions when we get tnt we don’t get like three bits of tnt we get like 10 or something basically everything is super powerful so you might think oh you’re gonna be like really overpowered then but the thing oh no they just got all that stuff oh no i wanted that sword

Yes you might think i’m going to be super overpowered but everyone’s in the same situation so it’s kind of a case where because everyone’s so powerful no one is does that kind of make sense because we’re all really powerful it kind of like limits how powerful everyone actually is and this person

Isn’t very powerful at all they do have a bow that might be handy actually i’m going to see if i can well let’s throw this arrow into this hand let’s just drink this mainly just to get rid of it and then we can go and grab uh his bow

And i’m feeling good now i’d love a little bit more armor we have a couple we have a couple penguins that seem to have have fallen asleep as the as the the game started but let’s go and grab some of these arrows i’ll leave those penguins here for now this person is not

Being nicer to i was going to leave the penguins where they were and be nice but this person was going straight for them why are we against like what are these like i think are these like red pandas or something and penguins why like everyone’s in like

Pairs in this game apart from me i want a another stampy cat to join so i have someone else to to share my style with let’s see if i can get them with a bow so one of the things is it really does balance each other out because the

Weapons are so much more powerful but i think even bigger than that is the the armor is way more powerful so you are doing more damage but they normally have more damage protection from the armor so it doesn’t really make so much of a difference it just i don’t know for

Some reason just makes it more exciting when everyone’s just really powerful for some reason it makes it exciting you know here are some people these are not animals these are not pandas or penguins or any of those sorts so let’s throw down a lingering potion the lingering

Potions are good because you can kind of leave them on the the ground and there you go see as they push through it they’re just taking constant damage that this person should be pretty weak but they do have i think they might be enchanted diamond boots but oh i was

Just about able to get them i am very very weak right now and i was just terrified then because there was a floating head that was running after me and for a second i thought it was a player but it wasn’t it was just a floating head

Right then i got even better loot now what does more damage that does uh six and okay these do the same so let’s just go and drop one of them i still don’t have a chest plate which is a little bit weird to have all of this good stuff but

No chest plate for a second i thought there was someone invisible chilling out there but it was just the the slowness potion and all we’re down to a 1v1 it’s just me and the the panda right if i can get a good harming potion down in

Between us then i might be able to oh let’s throw that above them because then they’re going to be sailing up into it oh they fell off that was perfect that could not have gone better but their armor is amazing doesn’t matter does not matter that’s the great thing about

Potions is when someone has a stupid amount of armor it’s like okay you have all of this armor i’m just gonna go and throw a harming potion at you and it’s gonna ignore all of the armor and just destroy you oh that was good that was good fun so

Let me go and show you these are the options that we’re playing around with i think i’m gonna put the the round up to two lives i think that i think it might be okay because it’s a little bit hard because when you die when you’re playing with uh with more

Than one life it’s a bit annoying because everyone else has got really good stuff but you join back in with nothing so sometimes it’s hard to to get back in so it’s kind of just like a a little bit of a a last minute chance the chances of you winning after being taken

Out early are pretty slim but you could do okay but the reason i think it might be a little bit better now is because all of the loot is so good like every chest you go to is gonna have a bunch of good loot there’s a chance that you

Might just get good enough stuff to kind of hold your own anyway so let’s just go and play around with the the setting do the power challenge again at all we haven’t vote for him oh no no it’s gonna be shrunk don’t be shrunk vote for

Something else vote for now we just did frontier dig what i normally do is when someone votes for for shrunk i just look for any other map that someone else has voted for just to not get it and i don’t hate shrunk don’t get me wrong i know it’s been like

Kind of a running joke at the moment about shrunk i don’t hate it it’s just my least favorite of the maps but i generally really like the maps that’s not saying it’s awful i’m just saying out of all of the maps it’s the one i’d

Like to play least the reason why i get stronger feelings is because it’s the one i like the least but it’s the one that gets voted the most by far at all one of the penguins is awake one of the penguins is awake the other one is still

Asleep at the moment i didn’t get a melee weapon this is a this is a pretty shabby start to be honest if i may say so myself and i guess i think that’s a weird a weird thing to say mace i say so myself but yeah i didn’t get great stuff

Let’s go and hold the the the poison potion at all if anyone at 4j is watching this by the way make it so i can just press like on it just to put it in my second hand like if i just go and press triangle over the

Arrows i want to just put it straight in my second hand rather than to go like that too slow too slow no don’t do that streamline it anyway let’s get back into the game so chess in the middle have started to refill i think we have both penguins

Going unless one of them has been taken out so i’m gonna watch out for the oh is there someone behind me i think i saw someone behind me then were they behind oh they were it’s a penguin i got stuck up on by a penguin i don’t have a melee

Weapon i gotta go for like arrow shots but they’re looting they’re doing what i wanted to do they’re looting all of this stuff and they got a diamond sword not good not good not good no i’m down but not out i have a second chance luckily

I said it so i have two lives that was i mean that was just stupid i i underestimated the penguin i will be honest i did not expect such a ferocious show of aggression from a penguin and look at their head i thought i thought their heads would be like

Slightly transparent or something i didn’t realize it would literally be just a bunch of heads like it’s fun because it’s really distracting which you think would be annoying and it might get annoying but it’s funny because you see a head coming around the corner and you assume it’s going to be attached to

A body and might be a threat but no it’s just someone watching the all of the action at all okay i didn’t get 10 tnt but i did get five tnt and that might be that might be enough for like a good escape plan if someone’s chasing me i

Can kind of leave a trail of that behind me and try and get away that way but loot wise i’m probably a little bit behind everyone else just because i got taken out armor situation would be great if we weren’t playing on the powered mode and everyone was getting

Ridiculously good things so in a normal game this loot would be amazing and i’d be jumping for for joy sadly uh with how good everything else is i really want something better and something better i got well that was a a bit of a of a

Mighty upgrade so let’s get rid of the shovel we’ve got the pickaxe now i don’t need these boots either so that’s uh half diamond armor then i got the the the iron leggings i think they might be enchanted not enchanted just iron leggings and i got a pickaxe so things

Are definitely looking better but as i said people are probably going to have better things as well so i got to to make sure i play it smart we’re playing with long rounds so time shouldn’t be too big of a factor unless this goes on

For for longer i don’t need the um oh what’s the oh this has got sharpness as well this pickaxe actually this is this is better than i expected let’s have invisibility even though it’s not really going to make any difference considering how much armor i have and all an

Enchanted bow hello just need to get some arrows now if i get some arrows then i am going to be more than happy and then i’m going to go and get a little bit more aggressive and try and track down some of the other players but

For now i am happy to to gradually build up my supply of loot while hopefully everyone else has taken each other out the only thing i haven’t looked to see is i haven’t looked in this chest for starters well this is uh this is quite the the hall let’s go and

Hold these arrows uh poison potion would be nice any of that diamond armor better than what i have yeah diamond leggings let’s uh let’s spend a little time here and make sure i get the the best eye i can get no no no no no no dangerous dangerous dangerous tnt tnt strategy tnt

Strategy leave a trail of tnt i am very weak right now very weak let’s do a damage potion at the doorway as well and let’s get out of here i spent a second too long i think i got most of the the loop that i really

Wanted though to be fair i think i got most of it and my health is pretty much back up now i don’t think they chased me either that was terrifying i thought there’s no way that someone was going to show us in like the most random place in

The world just come completely out in the middle of nowhere and then someone just showed up right next to me but i got my diamond armor now i got pretty good loot but we are down into the showdown and the thing that’s worrying me is i really haven’t done very much

Damage yet this round so if it does go to time i’m not certain that i’d be able to to win and this person has a diamond sword so let’s try and get them with a few arrows first and then when i when i feel like i’ve damaged them enough then

I can go and try and run in and get them with the the pickaxe if i can even reach them i got poisoned was that by someone else or was that by them i think i’m still in a 1v14 for now done some good damage so that’s going to be a little

Bit of a bonus for for me but everyone just seemed to be kind of around together they got to be weak they’re running they’re running a lot i think they got like poison arrows yeah they do i can see them holding it they got poison arrows which isn’t good for me as

I’m getting so so damaged they’re trying i think they’re trying to run away i don’t think they know how hurt i’m not i got like one hunger oh no i need um i need food i’m gonna starve let’s see if i can just finish off this penguin get

Him get the penguin get the penguin get the penguin get the penguin i stopped to death after all of that after all of those battles it ended by me starving to death what a humiliating way for me to end the round by starving to death that game was ridiculous this is so much

Fun i i think this is my new way to play i think the power stuff is just my new way to play even though everyone’s so strong it really doesn’t matter it just feels so much more epic when you’re like charging down on someone with full diamond armor and you’ve got all of

These crazy toys to play with because normally you just feel like you’re scrounging the one thing i might change is the old hunger thing and not not only because i am i just failed because of it or what am i looking for what am i looking for i’m panicking now uh hunger

Settings anti-fast healing no no no not on the power mode oh always healing no no hunger should we do that no hunger is that going to be a good one to do let me just quickly see what other other options there are no i don’t want to change that uh jumper ever

Yeah no hunger no hunger this will be fine so i think this just means we won’t starve to death but i think you will still like still go like really slow and not be able to spring jump and stuff if you do get hunger uh not um yeah if you

Yeah if you get hungry so food i think will matter but i don’t think it’s going to matter anywhere near as much as it did for me in that round where i was starving to death but to be fair that was a pretty tough battle penguin i need to i need to

Keep an eye out for those penguins those gumpers i guess there they’re supposed to be so uh yeah they they certainly showed what they got it’s the pandas and the penguins they’re the battle of the pandas and the penguins is really what today’s all about but let’s get this loot because

This loop really really matters and there we go okay once again no melee weapon and i i i really at the beginning of a game always take a melee weapon over a bow like when it gets to the end of the game bows for me the way i play

End up kind of being more important but for like just the very beginning when i just kind of care about surviving rather than taking out other players i would always go for a melee weapon first but let’s just get out of here because there are too many battle penguins about and i

Don’t want anything to do with them right now and i’m not great at knowing my way around invasion i don’t know where all the all the good stuff is but let’s grab why wouldn’t let me stack these arrows are these not the same that’s really weird like oh slowness i

Don’t know they’re not they’re not the same of course they just don’t look the same they look pretty similar though right so i got a i got a bow and i got my my pickaxe now is it got sharpness sharpness one on that and oh there’s someone down here there’s some down

There right i’m not going to take any chances i don’t know what they got but let’s just go after them and see if we can grab their loot i got a a poison potion here i heard someone fall down and take full damage they’re right above

Me can you see them they’re right up here somewhere let’s get the pickaxe out where are they hello where are you penguin or panda where are you where have they gone there’s someone around here in this scaffolding and i have no idea where they are they have

They gone have they just got bored and if they might just got bored on there let me go back down to that chest because there might have been better stuff i kind of didn’t have a proper good look i kind of panicked when when someone showed up at all people are

Going to tell oh here they are here it’s a panda it’s a panda but they got nothing on them they must have got no chest at the beginning and had been scrounging around the entire time i don’t know why i was panicking so much diamond sword hello

Seven attack damage amazing let’s go and grab that and switch this potion we don’t really need uh i definitely keep hold of the the poison potion let’s actually kind of let’s run around the sword out actually for for safety and right then let’s see let’s see if i can go and take

People out i’m feeling pretty confident i don’t have a helmet but apart from that i have a full set of what i believe is diamond armor i actually look like a surgeon right now if you look at me because of the texture pack it’s a diamond it is diamond almost a full set

Of diamond armor great weapons let’s just go and push in the only thing is nothing’s enchanted i don’t know if you can get any enchanted diamond armor that might be just one step too powerful but uh yeah you can definitely get like enchanted like normal weapons so that

Would have been great i got a good potion on that person and oh they put that they put down a healing potion so they’re healing themselves right now so even though it looks like i’m doing loads of damage they actually healed themselves up quite a lot but hopefully

They’re still weak enough that i can feel no i’m really weak what happened there why did i i had so much health and then it was all just gone in a flash did you see that i mean i think i did i just dropped down too far was i too

Aggressive and there they’re still there but there’s a bunch of loot on the floor which i really really want oh no i think there’s like is that a harming lingering harming potion there i really want that stuff there’s too much stuff for them to carry so i went oh no

They just swooped it all up they just swooped oh that was horrible i just saw them stealing all my old loot that’s one of the things about oh hello goodbye that’s one of the things about when you respawn is you can like be there to see people taking your old belongings you’re

Like no leave that alone that’s my stuff right i might have to do a risky run to the middle there is someone here but there we go i got something i know oh no oh there’s like diamond armor out there i need to get it i need i need to do a

Loop around it’s dangerous because that’s the direction where the people are and i’m setting myself on fire but if i can just get a bit of this loot okay i got an axe okay so i’m in a bad position right now because i got taken out i’m probably behind where everyone

Else is but i’m still in i’m still in i’m still going i ain’t going to give up anytime soon let’s go see we can grab oh hello hello hello good stuff in here right let’s not take too long looking through there i got i think a full set of diamond armor maybe again

Let’s go and put these arrows in my in my second hand just to save some room up i might as well grab one of these and then are there any other potions i can get uh well let’s put these slowness potions up here so that means i’m going

To to shoot them first i believe i haven’t really played with much of the the second hand stuff to be honest i don’t really like it i kind of wish that they didn’t add any of that stuff to the game i know it’s like the the longest debate in like

Minecraft combat history but i’m on the the side of not being a fan of it but i am on the side of trying to take out that person that was like the weirdest link ever but it kind of worked right then we’re down to the last few

Seconds and i haven’t done much damage so i need to be full-on aggressive here and try and take out these other players so let’s go and get the harding potion down this person’s got really good stuff but there we go i was able to take them

Out but that’s not the last one there’s someone else somewhere i don’t know where but there’s someone else in the map we are in the showdown so i should be able to track at all do they fall off they just fell off they fell to the ground they might have another life

Though right i need to be really careful to make this job i want to take them out if i can at all oh they spawned close they spawned close to me i might be able to get to them so remember they’ve just respawned so they probably have nothing

And if they have anything it will be all grabbed from just one chest so the chances are i should have much much better stuff than them i don’t them to push me off the edge of the map can i get them can i get them in time though

We’re running out of time i need to finish them off but i did what was that like what three maybe four seconds left in the game i think if that game ended i don’t think i would have won i don’t think i would have won i think that

Would have been time over and uh i think someone else might have done more damage let me see oh no i would have won i would have won but only just look they actually took out more people than me they took out five people they did 71

Hearts of damage and i did a hundred that was a nice round 100 hearts of damage that game was intense i’m doing another one i’m doing another one i might said how many should i do let’s do one round and uh let’s do it to a a short length

Shall we let’s just do like one intense game where everyone’s just going to go and smash their heads together so what map shall we vote for what’s going to be a good crazy one let’s go for cabin do you think is that going to be no that’s

That’s not a good fast-paced map really it kind of is what about castlemight oh hello hello excuse me i’m just i’m trying to pick a no excuse me stop throwing snowballs in my face cut that out your cheeky panda right oh we’re running out of place here we got one two

Three four five players left uh i’ve got my my voting for um four for castle and oh someone else someone agreed with me oh that’s good because castle is quite a nice open map and uh it normally ends with quite a fast-paced battle just in the the really

Big open area in the the center so i think this is gonna be a great map for for playing in this uh this power challenge game mode got to start a loading time has never felt so long when i’ve just wanted to get into a game so much i don’t know

Like because i loved about mini game and when it first came out i was like addicted to it and i don’t mean in terms of like recording it i mean like i would record a lovely world episode then i’d just play the battle mini game for like hours afterwards just because i wanted

To to carry on playing i loved it so much but then like because they they really stopped adding maps for it and instead really focused on glide and i like glide but i don’t i can’t replay glide again and again and again like i

Can for this so i kind of backed off it for a little bit but now they’ve added all of this stuff in i can keep changing again and making it more difficult for myself and stuff it’s just kind of giving me an extra burst of enthusiasm for it i guess right then pretty

Okay stuff not good not bad stuff for the beginning and you know what i would totally take that over bad stuff so i am not moaning about not getting amazing stuff to start with uh should i grab these arrows yeah i got quite a lot of food especially for a round where food

Doesn’t matter too much let’s grab some of these potions as well because i think the the big takeaway for me for this is potions are boss in this game mode like forget your diamond swords if you’ve got harming potions they’re better because if everyone’s got all of this crazy armor

Then it really doesn’t matter too much because you’re just gonna like eat through all of that armor with your potions anyway so potions are priority number one so definitely uh get them when you can is my is my health not going up look my health isn’t going up

Have i have i said it so health doesn’t go up look at my health my health isn’t going i got like loads of hunger but my health isn’t going up did i die am i accidentally done the wrong setting did i actually only do the wrong setting was

It like that in the last round let me go and have some of these healing potions i think oh let’s go and stand inside of here oh hello hello hello hello let’s go and get this uh this harming potion down there i’m pretty sure i’ve done that

Actually because i can’t i can’t chase after them now but i did i think at them with the poison potion maybe did i get them i’ve definitely scared them off if nothing else i think i might have said it so we don’t heal so let’s go and grab

Some of these healing potions then i know there is a setting so you can set it basically like hardcore rules i guess it would be called hello this guy’s come back they did not want to have the bow yet they did not expect me to be chasing

Let’s do my epic dodgers you can’t hit me you can’t hit me and now let’s go and charge after them they got a lot of armor so let’s go for another harming potion and i guess if i get them with this this is a uh a slowness arrow so

That might give me a chance to to catch them up was that was someone i think there might have been thorns or something behind me let’s go and have this regeneration and this is going to get my health up ready for the the next fight and i got a strength potion here

As well which is going to be crucial oh no it won’t because i died but now i can see myself flying around as a head i’m just a head i’m just a little floating head it looks so ridiculous a little head just flying around the map like this i think it’s

Better to have lost and died just so i got to see my little head flying around the level like this look at me just a little a little stubby head above all of the action at all that person well i think that was the person

Who took me out wasn’t it i think yeah i think that is i think they defeated me and went on to the the victory so a few things we’ve learned today three things firstly potions are amazing for the power mode use a lot of potions secondly don’t mess with pandas or

Penguins they’re tough battle battle penguins and battle pandas that’s that’s what we’ve learned also flying around as a little head is hilarious anyway though that is the end of this video here hopefully you enjoyed it there’s going to be a bunch more videos like this coming up in the future with
