Hello this is stubby and welcome to a minecraft let’s play video and not a video inside of stampy’s are lovely well play in this video it is Polly and me and the reason I’m gonna be joined by Polly is because we are working together to do a redstone so everyone consider

This as your redstone warning okay this episode is gonna be all about doing redstone so I know some of you love redstone I know some of you hate it you have been warned that’s what today’s episode is going to be I personally I’m actually looking forward to it something I never thought

I going to say I’m just sort of you are as well some of you might want to go and watch some of the the other videos did instead just just believe that warning out there anyway before we get to the Redstone we are going to get to our cake and um

Don’t know if we’re going to complete it but goal is to a 100% finished building my cart count minigame and I think that’s achievable we’ve done a lot of work in the last few episodes it’s the the final stretch that we need her to do today in order to get the game completely

Playable so that’s our goal so let’s say head into the teleporter out yeah I got my tilt duck press the button and go ahead Oh Superman I can build a teleporter slowing down which means we should now just about be over in the the fun land and hello Luna

They’re ready waiting for me over here right as if I can do some some impressive jobs to get across there I’ve been quite proud of myself over the last few of us other than how well I’ve bounced my way across here so let’s kind of take the long route round just

Because it’s fun doing parkour over this area that is way too fun job it across them I absolutely love it anyway here we go this is the UM there’s a cart count minigame what with a little bit so far anyway basically this enormous minecart and we’ve done some work since the last

Episode as well Polly and I have been putting our heads together and I’ve done things a little bit differently in terms of how we’re doing the the redstone because we’ve already done half of it we did half of it just because it is quite complicated so we can go and see what

We’ve created already and also it allows me to explain how it’s going to work before we end up doing it so let me let me say what this is and how it’s going to work and then we can go basically build the same thick pillar body on the

Other side over there so the roads are going to do is I’m you put down the item frames I’m done the item frames yet so this side is going to have torches in and then the other side is going to have a redstone torch again so I think it

Needs to be on this level here like that is that the flight right place oh I got one too and then it’s there 1 2 yet that seems to be in the right place so basically as you turn these item frames it’s basically going to light up a trail

Of redstone because there’s a comparator on the other side to say if I turn this so it’s 1 2 3 4 5 and then if I come through here and I go upstairs over here you’ll see that I’ve basically lit up a trail of redstone along here and it’s

Gone to number 5 you can see that’s roasted up at 5 and then at 6 it isn’t so that’s kind of the general concept so this is going to be how you’re marking how many of the no minecart you think you are of course because there’s two item frames it’s a

Bit trickier just to be able to count to a higher number so what we’ve done here is if you go all the way to the end of this first one which is to eight so let me spin this around to eight if you listen you heard a piston get pushed out

So what happens is the trailer redstone goes all the way to the end here this repeater fires it down here is then lights up this trail down here and above there there’s a system and that basically means that the the piston extends so now the bottom trail of

Redstone is lit up so this means if I go and start turning the the bottom item frame along like this it’s then going to light up the trail of red so along the the bottom layer here but if this top one wasn’t span around all the way then

This trail would not be lit up so basically allows you to do a high number and we’ve done that so it goes up to 215 so that is eight now so we could then go 9 10 and so let’s say that the word 10 minecarts in it was sector to 10 what

Would happen for the the person that set up the game is all they need to do is put down two repeaters so say if it um it was set to number 12 what I need to do is place one repeater here in line with number 12 and then one on the other

Side and the reason for this is this one marks how many there are and then you just need to block it so that if someone guess is higher then they don’t get it right because otherwise you could just keep swinging spinning around the item frame and then you could basically just

Guess to get it right that way so yeah and that would it be it basically set to what do I set it to 12 I think I said didn’t I yes set to 12 so let’s go and fit it round 2 to 12 and then that

Should mean that the door is then open so we got eight and then let’s just spin this one around 9 10 11 12 and then that means if I go down this corridor fingers cross the door should be open there we go but if the the item frames were in

Any other combination it means that the the door wouldn’t be open that’s kind of how it works the way it works with the door is very simple from this trail here it basically just leads down straight to the the door and then there’s another trail of redstone

Which comes from the the other side the blue side which comes down here and then that basically goes into the the same torch eventually all that means is that it needs to have it so one trail isn’t but basically boat trails aren’t lit up

For the door to be open a feeble lit up than it than it is open so that’s kind of a brief overview like if you don’t understand it yet don’t worry because we’re going to be we’re going to be basically building they’re the same thing again and I’ll tell you how to do

It in case you do want to end up building it in your own world so let’s start off by putting down these item frames I wasn’t going to add some item frames down here these are just where you’re going to place the the Emerald which is the the way you’re going to end

Up winning the game so we don’t you worry about them too much today but I thought I might as well just go into and place them down anyway so all right then let’s so let’s go make some redstone torches that’s just going to be what’s

Going to be inside of these seen as this is the red side and that sides there the yellow side over there and that just seemed to be what makes the most sense oh yeah Lissa just break a hole in there the area here so once again it’s two

Blocks and then we need to start building here so I’ll kind of I decided to color code it you don’t have to build out these same colors you could build out of just dirt and cobblestone and stuff if you want to it just kind of makes it easier to tell like each side

Apart just because otherwise if you kind of build out the same blocks it can kind of all blur into into one and it can kind of be quite difficult to work out what does what so I’ve done they’re just the color coding system just to make it

A little bit simpler and easier for when we’re building it just to kind of keep track and also when people are setting the game because I know this is all kind of behind the scenes stuff anyway but you know people are going to have to be

Heading back behind here and it would be good if they actually can understand where I’m supposed to supposed to place the repeater I can basically say you know place it on the blue block or place it on the the green block and then you know they’re going to know what I’m

Talking about rather than just kind of staring at me blankly that’s the that’s the kind of idea for for this so let’s go and build out just these trails along here just for a starter and then we can go and actually start adding in some of

The em yes some of the the actual redstone so first things first volley I’m going to go and place down the comparator the comparators and then the the Redstone once I’ve done that can you just go and spin the the minecart not the minecart the item frames around just a just a

Test to make sure it’s actually working so you don’t know how comparators work basically they’re used in a lot of different ways but the way we’re using it now is basically the more some expand around the more red stones lit up you can also do it with them I think with

Cakes to see how much a cakes been eat and I think can even do it with cauldrons to see how much water is in the corner and there’s a few other things as well like that so they’re a very useful thing that on unrealized em

Down there now so upon it you want to go and just spin around both DV item frames and hopefully this is all working we’ll see them then kind of lighting up and kind of going in and out a little bit I should probably add a a little ladder

Down here as well just so I can get up to the top and I can see their bottom one lighting up you go and spin the top one a little bit now Polly and we should basically see this redstone kind of going up and down and up and down along

Here but it looks like it’s all nicely lit up as it is now so yeah let’s just go and kind of fill in wither with white wall here because this isn’t going to be where the the start of the where the numbers are going to be and then this is

The side you’re going to need to jump up to set it so this is where we can have a ladder I going up the side now thing is I’m going to be going up and down there pretty much for up the entire episode I might as well just go and place down

There the ladder now just to make things easier for me to just go and plug my crafting table in the corner here we’ll see if I end up making more crafting tables today I probably will you know me but I’ll see ya how often I can go back

There to Uther the same crafting table so that’s kind of the let’s go there’s a simple part done so that’s kind of the the the starter for it Polly do you want to start putting down the the signs maybe might be a good idea so we need to

Label a longer the top here this is basically going to go from 1 to 7 and then the the final number we get to is there is 15 which is a lot there is a lot of of mine cuts to be able to to be

Able to count so I think any more than that would get silly you could add like another row in if you wanted to get really big but to be fair I think at that point it’s going to be so difficult for you to kind of count anyway though the game might get a

Little bit ridiculous so now all we need to do is do this trail of redstone along hip and then along the other side there and so these are these are going to be the the trails of redstone that when you place the the repeater on them that’s going to be the thing that

Sends the the signal going downstairs basically so basically this signals going to be lit up if there’s a repeater pushing this way then that’s going to be the one that sets it off so another big thing that I need to do is I need to do a trail of red stone leading turtle

Where the leading to where the doorway is basically so why think I might do now is try and try and work that out so there’s going to be basically a pit kind of coming down here somewhere but I guess this will needs to link up so this redstone can kind of come down

Here like this and then this can kind of all link up with with this redstone here and then we can have one kind of tunnel just making its way down here so let’s kind of dig my way down here like this I’m gonna go and put some torches down I

Have kind of made me the tunnels nicer in the other one and made them so they’re not just a first one I’m just going to try and make sure I can get it working so where where is the the doorway for starters the door is there

So what I think I’m going to do is just break away the floor for now and oh no my my shoes broke this makes what you see at first and then yeah I’m just going to break away all of the floor for now just so I can kind of see exactly

Where the door is and not have to kind of keep guessing as I go and do this so oh yeah this is going to be the trail of redstone which is going to be going to the door which is going to make the door open so this

Is basically going to be you know almost er the game working it just won’t have the the trail which is going to be able to stop the the door from opening basically so let’s go and put down any block underneath it for but now and then

We can go and plonk a or redstone torch underneath it and that will means that the the door will be open but we are going to kind of reverse the signal so obviously we want the the daughter kind of remain shut until open rather than

The the other way round I was just going to dig out the tunnel here a little bit that’s only because I need to have room for the other trail of redstone from the the other side to be able to come down here as well so as soon as I got my my

Shovel out ready anyway I might go in to dig all of this away now just to go and get this this already and let’s just go and try and get there the trail of redstone just so it links up for for now and then we can kind of worried about

The the rest of the the mechanics going forward so I guess it could kind of go down here like if I get my redstone out pretty not going to need an axe in a while so if I go like that and then let me just

Go make it so I can fit down here the redstone can fit but I can’t and then this redstone can go down there like that and then if we just kind of go let’s just kind of go along well let’s just go along here like this maybe and

Then we can kind of duck into there like that and what I mean by when my said I’m going to reverse the signal is if I basically put it so there’s a torch here like this and then a redstone block there then that means that the the door

Is now shut but when a signal gets sent down it means that it’s going to light up and I can demonstrate for demonstrate that for you right now so let’s say where’s it lit up to so let’s see it’s lit up – I think this is – number three

If I place that down here that should mean that the door is open I do believe so let’s go down here and there we go the doors open to that that is basically a half of the redstone and now working already so now we basically need to do

Kind of the same thing but on the the other side so this is basically going to be the side which would be a blocking the redstone so once again we need to kind of do the same thing this trail of redstone can kind of come down here like

This and then if we link it let’s kind of link it up around the back like that you don’t to do this kind of exactly the same as I do you you might be able to make it neater than me I’m sure a lot of you watching this are better at redstone

Than I am so I’m sure you’ll be able to make this even neater than than I’m doing here so this just basically needs to be able to make its way down and link up with the yeah link up with the the door at the end as well so let’s let’s

Kind of break this away I don’t know destroy any of these redstone I’ve done before so let’s kind of loop around this way and you can see why I made the the tunnel a bit bigger so they’re good to add some repeaters down as well just to

Make sure that the the redstone can reach far enough it doesn’t really matter how many repeaters that you add in and then yeah this trail of red some it’s basically going to be heading to the the torch again and it just means that if this trail is lit up then that

Means that the the torch will be kind of getting a little so I kind of need to do the same thing again where I reverse the the rest as you don’t need to reverse it let me um let me think about this for a

Sec so let’s say let me kind of do my if I keep kind of making it hard to get up and down so let’s say let’s do my little repeater back down here and let’s say that’s lit up here and then let’s just kind of do a

Complete test then so is that the the door should now be open also you can’t auto the door is not open for for some reason here did I break some redstone this is all lit up here and then I I did break some redstone I broke some some

Redstone on this trail down here so if I go and put all of this back down like that is that there though so the door is now open so let’s just do a test then let’s put a repeater on this side here I let’s see because this should be the

Door now shut again and oh go this works you see because now they’ve spun the the torch around too far it no longer works of that is that side of the redstone completely done the problem is though at the moment we really only got one side working because we haven’t put in the

The piston yet that’s kind of the one big thing that we’re we’re missing so let’s go under and place in the the piston now then so I can kind of just fit this in right down at the front so I just need to break away the top bit of

The the redstone and I can place the the piston in here and this is basically just a way for the the redstone crow to be able to continue and I can’t quite I can’t reach the piston from there let me um how am I going to go around here and

Be able to defeat it I don’t know to break away everything that we’ve created I guess I kind of just destroy around here a little bit and then place the the piston down there like that and there we go so that’s going to basically extend a block just like that Thank You Polly

Assertive HD a basically mean that we can use the the second trail of redstone as well so this start going to be pretty simple and don’t look poly has a poly is just way ahead of me today she’s got the the redstone torch for me ready the only

Public it’s a little bit tricky here is that I do need to fit this in with all of this other redstone around here at the same time and just make sure it doesn’t link up so if I place that there that’s not going to link up with with

Anything so I could kind of go like this and then if I put another torch there and then I can kind of do a trail going down like like this all day is getting a that is getting a little bit close to the the rest of the the redstone so

That’s kind of its kind of play it safe then and let’s not worry about that torch it’s just going to do a trail of redstone kind of going out and then down this way I bet he just need to loop it around up and going to where that person is

Once again I am sure you will be able to do this much much much neater than Irvin I’m doing it and yeah then that way yeah it would be I don’t know kind of it a little bit easier to see but as long as it long as it works then that’s going to

Be fine for for me for today so let’s let’s just kind of go underneath the rest of that redstone for for now I can kind of neaten this up a little bit later on if I if I need to but I just kind of want to make sure everything is

All working the way it should be for for now so I’m maybe just doing a trail going down with this this redstone and we’re going to go down really deep just to make sure that in no way does it affect any of the other redstone because the other red stones working and when

Redstone is working the general idea is to not touch it don’t ruin it if you got it working just leave it stay away from it and then let’s try to to not do anything to mess it up and that exactly what I am trying

To do now if I kind of go even if I go down one more I can basically do this and go underneath all of the the other redstone it’s kind of taking up more room than it than it should but it should allow me to be able to make my

Way to where that piston was if I kind of start digging it up now on this side I should kind of be hopefully coming relatively close to where the the piston will them I need to to break my way through here a little bit and then

There’s the green wall let me just put my head out and see see where of where I’ve ended up arriving I’ve just need to get okay so the piston is one block left and then two in that direction right let’s go back down here and then I need

To go one block here and then one two it should be kind of roughly above my head now that’s kind of once again start digging up and see if we can see where the business there go there is the the piston so this is basically the the

Block that we need to light up so let’s put a a torch onto on underneath it now and then we can basically light up the torch in order to set the piston off so if I put that down there and then we can just do one simple trail of redstone

Kind of leading down to it here so we kind of go down like this and then like that the other thing is I need to make sure I add some more repeaters down here as well I once again just to make sure that the the redstone can actually reach

It at all times so it looks like it kind of could anyway so this is I will photo foreigner what happen there I say okay I think Poli wife hit me I’m a little bit scared now those I don’t want I don’t want Luna to start

Going after after Poli I might go into and sit down sit down Luna just for a for safety look at this look at this mess of redstone this pit that we’ve created it’s kind of like a parkour challenge to be able to get out of here

To be fair can I jump up to the ossicles so close one more try and yeah okay I’m gonna have to go to make it an easier way to get out of here let’s just kind of dig a little temporary staircase like this and I can just go and pile up some

Dirt here so let’s see what this is this is all a working then shall we so the piston isn’t extended right now oh it is good because it’s not supposed to be extended right now but let’s do it at F and a spin around the top one so Poli

Yet you want to go on to the other side of the wall if you spend either the top one all the way to the end okay you kind of went too far if you go leave it so should be like diagonal top left that should be the the number eight position

And then we’ll see whether that goes to extender the piss of vogue oh you can see the red sonic said okay that’s it leave it on that one don’t turn it anymore and it looks like the the piston hasn’t extended so if you leave that as

It is for for now poly I need to go down and have a look so I think I need to do them is basically just another kind of switch around with the redstone where I just use it a torch like this and then place the redstone down there and now

Let’s go back up back upstairs and let’s see whether the yeah let’s see whether the piston has extended fingers crossed it has not hundred percent overhead oh no it’s extended so that means poly if you now spend either the bottom item frame around now and then that should

Yet oh go it starts extending all of the the redstone along here which means I do believe we have a done it let me sit down Luda before she goes and starts attacking poly and let’s have a let’s have a bit of our test to go then shall

We let’s do like a kind of like a full run for if I go over here avoiding the the dangerous redstone bit I will show you how this works okay what why don’t you set up a test a game for me poly okay if you set up there the rest so let

Me just throw you some a couple repeaters so if you go and pick a number I’m going to go and make you actually I think you got some line cuts on your little red so you need to go behind the scenes I show you there that’ll ever you need to

Press first to shut the door so yeah this this here shut so over the the window you can put down as many as you want and then I need her to try and type in my commander together I’m looking forward to this is going to be the the

First proper test of card count I wasn’t sure if we were going to get to this point in the episode excited you how difficult it was going to be but I am glad we were able to do and it didn’t take a too crazy along the time either

So let’s go back inside of the game now I’m going to set both of these to 0 to start with why could probably do while Polly is setting up all of the the minecarts and everything like probably go and start replacing some of the the floor down here which I broke away

Because this this is supposed to be a corridor as you can see the the door is shut at the the moment but hopefully if I’m able to get this this correct I will be au able to open up that doorway yeah very very soon also you may know just as I’ve changed

This a little bit so this used to be just normal glass I changed it to these glass panes and one because I think that the it looks nicer having these two different colors also in these are your into our about setting Z the other side Polly we only need to do one side

There’s no point you getting thing is you know the beyond so that would be an unfair advantage yeah but the other good thing about having these um these glass panes that you can kind of step a little bit forward and in meant that you can

Kind of see more of the the room which actually kind of made it easier to be a be able to see more so I made the trap dig anyway and so to be counting so one two three four five English five plus five yeah there’s five so now I need to

Go so that’s when it’s up that means one then two three four five and then if I got that correct and the red stones are working the the doors open the door is working I can grab the the Emerald and I’ll go and bring it back all the way to

Here and place it in the item for a way that I would win but if you look say if I turned this one a little bit and kind of guessed too far and then that should mean that the door will oh okay so you know it doesn’t matter about that that

Bottom one but if I turn the the top one anymore I think that means that the the door would then be shut basically because I guess too much yeah there we go as you can see the stone is working and that means everything is ready for us to have a car

Count tournament and by the way Poli thank you thank you for being nice and not putting down fifteen mine carts because there’s no way out of being able to guess back but that might come up in the next episode when we go and have the the cart count toward of them but sadly
