This one glitch has plagued Minecraft for over a decade if you ever had the experience of picking up water from a lake then later needed that bucket of water somewhere down the line only for it to disappear in the thin air for no reason you’re not alone as this one bug Was spotted and tracked all the way since pre-release back in 2011. known as the ghost bucket it happens when liquids are calculated on the server side rather than the client side which causes latency and it’s especially apparent on servers with low-tech speeds where when the player tries to repeatedly use their Bucket but despite years of complaining in the form of bug reports and comments this one glitch did continuously unresolved until finally it was looked at and fixed in 1.17 except that it’s still being reported despite this patch Video Information
