Hello there and welcome to 80 craft today i’m going to be showing you how to build this fantastic fantasy inspired watch tower for your world uh so don’t go anywhere and let’s get on with the video These are the materials for the finished build they may change slightly depending on how you texture it the footprint of this build is 9×9 and this is the block layout that you’ll need that will be placing the first layer of blocks so pause the video to make sure that you’ve got Everything set out like this and let’s get to building the first thing that we’re going to do is we’re going to place in these uh corner pieces in the stripped spruce so for these we’re going to have the outside parts that are going to come up three four five six Uh on both of these and then in the middle piece of them we’re gonna come up to the same height of six and then we’re gonna cover another twelve so one two three four five six seven and what we’re then going to do is repeat this for all of the sides When you’ve finished your pillars you’ll have the high ones being 18 and the lower ones being six now we’re going to fill in one side of the walls and one side of the build and just repeat this on all the other sides and then we’ll put in the doors in the window So the first thing to do is to just bring in a floor and bring this up one level in its entirety so you’ve got a three by three there then what we’re going to do is we’re going to bring in a cobble c shape that’s too high and on top of that We’re going to place two stairs on the outside then we’re going to fill the rest of this up to the same height as the lowest bits like so on the sides here we’re gonna put a full block there and a stair on each of these sides And do that here as well a full block and then here we’re gonna have a stair and a spruce plank so that’s going to be the same on each of the sides the only other thing to do is just then mix it up a little bit by adding in some Andesite or wherever you fancy really and you can obviously use the stairs as well if you want let’s put a stair outside just so it looks a bit more textured and let’s change that one for the underside as well like this uh yeah and then Just as i say repeat that all the way around the build and then i’ll show you how to do the windows and door with the walls in place we’re going to choose one of the sides that’s going to be the doorway and for me it’s going to be this one Because it’s going to be facing out and what we’re going to do is we’re going to knock out three blocks and at the top we’re going to place an upside down spruce stair and at the bottom of the doorway we’re going to place another oak plank so it leads us into the building Now we can come inside and then we’re going to knock out three on each of the other sides like so and then just on the underside of these we’re going to place the spruce stair in the same way and that fills out the the windows there Then on top of these we’re also going to place a spruce leading in as this is when the building’s going to start to taper upwards for this part i’ll show you on one side and then you repeat it on the other three sides uh what we’re going to do is We’re going to take the stripped spruce logs and we’re going to place one across on top of the wall then we’re going to kind of one two three and then place another line uh it’s worth noting that before i had accidentally used the dark oak uh but i’ve just replaced those all now With the spruce so yeah we placed that and we’ve got a gap then we’ve got the spruce slabs that are going to come inside like this and then one down on the outside we’re going to place a spruce slab like so as well inside this build we’re going to take Some of the concrete and we’re going to use a block and block up like this and we’re going to place the concrete round in a circle right the way around and obviously we’re going to be coming out and leaving a one by one gap in all of these sides when you do them Um like that but on this once you’ve done that take some wool and just randomly replace some of these blocks with some wool just again to give it a bit of texture there next thing to do on this bit we’re going to be using some of the stairs and placing them in All of the corners like so so it’s going to start making one of these circular window patterns that we’ve got in there so repeat that all the way around and i’ll show you the next step with all the sides in place we’re going to start placing some of these spruce Trap doors so we’re going to place them in basically each of these gaps that we’ve got here around the window and what that does is it gives it a lovely little round effect we’re also going to place it on the sides and on the top like so And then we’re gonna go up to the next stage so what we’re gonna do is we’re gonna and again i’ll do exactly the same just build one wall and then you repeat it all the way around we’re gonna fill this gap in with cobble first of all And then we’re gonna come up and it’s gonna be two three four five six height uh and because we’re gonna place two then we’re gonna have a gap of three actually should be seven high should bring us exactly level with this uh and we’re gonna have A gap of two at the top so fill that in we’ll leave the window gap there and we’ll place a spruce stair upside down and what we’re also going to do is get some underside stairs and place them along now with this wall equally like we did with the previous one just Mix in a little bit of underside here and there just to make it a bit more exciting looking like that um and on this we’re also going to get some more trapdoors and place them here and on the inside at the bottom of the window and at the Top level of the window as well the other thing we’re going to do is we’re going to place some upside down stairs here some upside down stairs on the sides here as well and a spruce trap door in the middle so that gives us pretty much all of one side done Uh and just carry that on for the other sides the tower’s now going to flower out again so what we’re going to do is we’re going to place um on all of these three and these three in each of the corners we’re going to place uh the stripped spruce logs and these Are going to go up seven and then in the middle we are going to bring up to exactly the same height uh some white concrete and mix that up with some wool basically every so often so we’ll fill in all of those sides and i’ll show you what to do Now we’ve got this big blank canvas on each of the sides we’re going to knock out the windows so first of all we’re going to go up three like that for the windows leaving a one gap at the bottom and placing an upside down stair at the top Now we’re going to go up to the top and place another upside down stair out here one either side like so and then round this we’re also going to place one on this side one on this side and place some more concrete now i have mixed in obviously the wool there We’re gonna place some concrete in here we’re gonna go up and across for a hole there and then we’re gonna come up one two three more to give us the basis that’s going to sit underneath the roof now we’re going to start working on the Roof now i i’ll show you the roof on one side and then build it up all the way around it should link up so what we’re going to do is we’re going to place a stair down from this and a stair underneath like so and on the outside of this We’re going to place a uh slab there so when you do the same on the other side that will then meet up i’ll just show you here the right way there we go and that will then connect up so you’ll have a nice connector once you’ve done that bit what we’re Going to do is place a spruce spruce plank then a stair with a backwards stair against it then we’re going to come up with one two uh full blocks and a stair on the side like this now at this point you can either place an upside down stair like this which Does actually cover this block or you can place a slab whichever you prefer really but i’m going to use a stair for this and then we’ll build this up as well on the the other side so what we’ll do here just to show you again is stair with an upside down stair backwards And then we’ve got a slab sticking out like this and then that’ll connect up and then we’ve got the two stairs two full blocks and then it connects up at the top here like so so this is the shape that we’ll have of the roof Now on top of this what we’re going to do is we’re going to also place a full block just like that and that gives you the basic roof design and what we’re going to do is now connect all of those up all the way around now we’ve connected all of those up to Finish off the roof what we’re going to do is firstly i’ll realize that these two blocks are slightly too high um what we’re going to do is we’re going to place a stair in there it’ll connect up we’re then going to place some warped planks in here and i am for this going To place in all of the roof and then we can add some texture to it afterwards and basically what we’re going to do is we’re just going to follow the roof pattern um from the actual edge of the roof all the way around and connect these up like This and so we can bring this up so it matches up like so and then we’re gonna bring in two of these but this one’s actually gonna be facing in and facing in like that so this is going to give us our basic roof design We’re then going to place a a full block here and then a stair on either side and again i am just showing you one corner which will then be able to be used um for the rest of the build and we just need to get the uh slab there we go As that goes in the middle here in between the two and then we bring this down using the blocks and bring it together like this so what that gives us is a nice roof pattern but actually something that dips down in the middle like that and where you’ve got a a nice Step up going through uh so uh yeah fill that in all the way around and then we’ll deal with the ornate bit and the finishing touches to the exterior with the roof in and it i think it looks great uh just now to mix up the odd block here and there with Some of the dark prismarine um you can be asparing or us um go crazy to like really with this just it’s something to to make it look a bit different so i’ve done one side there just carry that on around the other sides to finish the roof off what we’re Going to do is place a right way upstair here we’re going to place a right way upstairs facing the other way here upside down stair and then a right way upstairs and that will give this little hook design and on top of this we’re going to place uh Some of the trapdoors to make this completely spawn proof and also to smooth out the the curves now these also will need some kind of spawn proof spawn proofing on there so if you just put some trapdoors on those as well then we’re also once we’ve got the trapdoors we’re Going to place some trapdoors here round like this on these two sides Like that and we’re also going to place another one just down at the bottom here but just on the inside bits because we’ve got some more decoration to go just on the outside and we’re also going to place a full block under there full block under there and A slab just here but the top of the block so that is going to then be one side of our build done carry that round on the other side and then a few more touches and we’re on to the interior for the decoration of the exterior First thing we’re going to do is put some lanterns on so we’re going to place a lantern just from this bottom bit here we’re going to place a lantern on the corners in each of these and then we’re also going to place some lanterns hanging down Here on all of the sides so whether it’s the doorway or whether it’s the window we’re going to do that we’re going to place some warped buttons on the edges here so each of those corners just on that particular bit and the last thing we’re going to do is We’re going to take some acacia fences and run those up in these gaps that we’ve created like this so we’ve got three there and then we’ve got the four there and we’re going to do that on both sides just so i can show you a full side very quickly fly up Up we go so yeah that then gives you the full aspect from the uh the build the last other thing to do is just choose a glass color of your choice i’m going for some white and the white stained glass panes and fill in the glass in the windows Now you’re going to fill in the glass on all of the sides apart from one which is going to be the further side from the door and in these sides we are going to put some glass in on the bottom level and on the top level But not in these two middle sections and the reason for that is we need to place some uh some trapdoors against um some ladders against them so instead what we’re gonna do is we’re gonna place a couple of trapdoors in these gaps so you still get the same Look but it means that you can place your ladders against those on the interior so yeah i’ll finish that off and just give you a quick run through of the exterior now for the interior first thing we come inside and we place a door now this is to make the next stage a Little bit easier what we’re going to do is we’re just going to place some uh temporary blocks i’ll just use dirt for this right the way up to this hole now the reason for that is it then allows us to place some trapdoors either either way but we’ll do it from the top Down against this these temporary blocks and make sure that they are all closed like this get rid of the blocks themselves and now making sure to shift click set up ladders on these as high as you can reach and also up going up here shift clicking when you can here Right the way up the rest of the uh the tower itself so when you’re doing this in survival then it’s easier because you’re actually climbing the ladders when you’re doing it and you can place ladders next to you as you climb now when we get up to the top here we’re Going to place a floor which is going to be trapdoors and what that does mean is you don’t actually need to light this up if you don’t want but it’s nice to have a bit of light we’re also going to have a trapdoor here so you don’t fall down This gap and up in these rafters you can either light up or you can just put some slabs in these gaps because we are going to add some slabs just this level as well and because they’re bottom slabs nothing can spawn on them so you can save yourself some torches And some like lighting updates up there the last thing to do is to just place some light so we’re gonna place the four torches up here uh four lanterns rather we’re gonna come down the actual tower itself and the very last thing to do is to place some Lanterns in here and this should mean that you’ve got just enough light inside that nothing can spawn um and yeah that is now your completed tower so i’ll just give you a quick look in the default textures and with the shaders so here’s the finished build With the default textures on i’m not a massive fan of the spruce in the default textures they’ve just got a little bit too much green in there but other than that i think it all works really really well the texture packer uses vanilla bd craft which is just really a hd version Of the default textures anyway so yeah i would expect it to look look pretty good but now i will just give you a look with the shaders on to show you what it can look like in your world one final little touch that you can add If you wish is a just a line of acacia signs going around the edge of the build like so and just adds a little extra bit of color and ties it together but really really happy with how the build has turned out um i hope you like it too i’ll just have a Quick look inside to show you that and if we head in so up the ladder we go and it’s worth noting that when you get to these middle sections you can actually just jump out the ladder as well and get a view out of the windows in the middle Uh before heading out to the top of the build itself where you get the main views out and again you can get into the windows here and have a a good look around um at the different areas that you’ve got around your base and gives full 360 view The other thing to note is that it is a modular build so you could add extra sections like the two middle sections if you wanted to um just to make it a bit taller if that’s what you were looking for but yeah really really happy i can say How it’s turned out i hope you have enjoyed it um if you have then please consider leaving a like it really does help and obviously a comment to let
