All the Mods 6 To the Sky EP36 Astral Sorcery New Stardust

Hey guys and welcome back this is chosen arctic and today we’re gonna be diving into astral sorcery and i’m gonna be going over quite a few tips and tricks along the way so i hope you guys are ready so today we’re gonna dive into some astral sorcery and uh well there’s a few

Things that i need to go over before we actually get started with astral sorcery because um it being a sky block well we don’t have access to some of the things that we would normally have access to and those things that we don’t have access to well they’re structures that

Would normally generate in the world um so things such as a collector crystal well we just don’t have access to um so what we’re gonna need is this right here um we need to collect some aquamarine and we do get a reward here for this also a crystal for your progression

This thing is really nice because this is needed um however we have to complete the aquamarine first now i have been gathering a little bit of aquamarine in between episodes and right here is some of that aquamarine shale um i think the best way let’s see is to get a shovel

And i don’t know if we have fortune or looting actually we probably need or we need fortune right um do i have a fortune i do have a fortune three perfect we can slap that on a shovel uh let’s see let’s make it another right shovel while we’re at it i’m hoping this

Kind of helps so if we uh we make this sword and we go ahead and lay all this stuff down i’m hoping that it will make it go i mean let us get a little bit more out of it um there might actually be other methods of like grinding it

Looks like we get a chance of four for smelting it we should just do that let’s just smelt it all if we get four for it like that’s that seems to be like well worth it right so all we gotta do is hop over to our rs system and then

Hop into this and bam we’re gonna get four how come it’s not doing the whole stack that’s interesting it’s not actually doing the whole stack it’s just going fast and i’m only getting wait am i only getting one whoa whoa whoa i’m only getting one

No no what a rip-off oh well i ended up putting the rest of it in my in my actual smelter for mechanism that one ended up giving me four times oh my goodness that one the rainbow generator was not liking that but anyways we have that so now that

Should be unlocked we get ourself a constellation paper um looks like we ended up getting two constellation papers which is kind of interesting um now we do need to make these constellation papers that is something that we’re going to need uh we’re going to need to make

Uh marble let’s go ahead and grab some marble because that’s another quest and then the luminous crafting table is another quest and we get ourself a rock crystal for that but the big thing that we need is this thing the actual collector crystal the collector crystal is more than

These things like this right here is what’s going to allow us to make uh star metal and all kinds of useful things that we’re going to need eventually so getting this is probably probably going to be one of the items that is most overlooked people are like

How do i start astral sorcery if i don’t have that but yeah that right there is how you’re gonna get started so also keep yourself an astral tome on you while you’re doing astro sorcery so you can keep your notes and your papers in here um and also let’s talk about papers so

Astral sorcery i was looking at this and to make constellation papers it’s a luminous crafting table with all of this stuff in it also star metal so or stardust um so with that in mind we’re gonna have to do this crafting recipe eventually but that’s after we get to the point of getting

Star metal which we don’t we’re not we’re not at yet um so first things first with this mod getting started um we already have a resonating one we’ve already kind of done some of that stuff um we technically already have the shrine that’s where this would come and hit to play

Um and we can go ahead and back out of this because we’re technically out of discovery and then we can actually move over here into exploration so getting into this mod has some amazing benefits uh that will actually affect our power generation and everything because liquid starlight that which this

Mod produces is one of the top tier like coolants you could call it coolant so technically liquid starlight is a hot material but it is a good thing to use in your actual reactors down here um it is up there with some of the other higher tier stuff it’s definitely better

Than the platinum that we have in right now so that’ll be something i definitely want to swap this out with and from what i remember being told i don’t actually have to cover the whole thing uh like fill the whole thing with liquid starlight we can just place it

All around and it flowing down is enough right i i think uh i may have to double check that but um i believe that is what i was told by the actual mod author so with that in mind let’s start making some of this stuff

Um what are we going to need to make this well the light well is pretty cheap to make we are however going to need to make these ruined materials um i think we can do that with a stone let’s see um what is it called a stone cutter

I don’t think we’ve made a stone cutter have we or not it’s not called a stone cutter it’s a vanilla tool okay i i thought i was going crazy for a moment but read this correctly minecraft colon stone cutter but it’s been renamed to bench saw

Okay right trick trying to trick me up i see what you’re doing trying to trying to trick me here all right so now that we have this let’s go ahead and i believe we can use this on the marble let’s just kind of check if we place marble in here okay so

Perfect we get all of the astral sorcery variants that is the important part of this ah good because that’s gonna make our building life so much easier um however we still need to make marbles so that’s gonna be a big thing it’s also raining should probably sleep

Now just a fair warning i am gonna be diving through this mod fairly quickly if you’re looking for a more in-depth tutorial on how this mod works i recommend checking out the youtuber mischief of mice good friend of mine uh valen will definitely help you get through this mod including the new

Update that we’re currently on um but yeah i’m definitely gonna be going through this a little bit quicker than probably normal because uh i’ve done this a lot in the past let’s plays and it gets kind of tedious kind of just doing the repetitive stuff over and over again however i will hit

The highlights and show you guys some really important tips and tricks in this mod which is what it’s all about right so speaking of uh quickly as you can see i’ve already built the structure however um this multi-block structure structure you see underneath here isn’t actually active just yet also

Let’s get rid of these guys um so you this is basically still a first tier luminous crafting table this will only take effect once we actually craft this into its next tier which is talked about a little bit right here so if you see the multi-block structure

You can see this right here tells you how big it is and also you can kind of get some different previews of it and all the blocks required to make it it’s not hard at all and you do have to step this up however i will talk a little bit later

About how there are some different ways you can kind of uh make this a little bit easier to build uh but for right now let’s work on getting liquid starlight because we can’t craft this and upgrade to this one without liquid starlight for that we’re gonna need it to be

Nighttime and we need some light wells also a tuned rock or we not a tuned rock we just need regular rock crystals and some aquamarine so you do need a way of getting aquamarine uh at the moment i do have a way of getting it and i am probably gonna

Actually make a seed for it here soon as well that’s probably one of the best ways to gather this stuff it’s just with a seed and it’s not like a difficult seed to make um so i’ll do that here in a little bit but first let’s go ahead

And just take a look at everything we’re gonna need for this um rock crystals so you should be getting a bunch of those at this point um so i have tons of rock crystals we have 75 just in our inventory but inside of our like uh our miner down here like this is

What’s gathering all of those resources like we have tons of rock crystal like this is more rock crystal than you’ll probably ever need all right because when you break it you’re gonna usually get more than one um so these things are definitely look at that one two three four five

And that’s yeah we don’t even have like anything crazy on our pick so you’re gonna get tons of these and i recommend not breaking a bunch of them until you need them because otherwise you just have a mess on your hands also i went ahead and just crafted a

Bunch of the different variants uh of the marble it’s gonna make life so much easier when we go to craft now speaking of crafting we can put the items in here you can see it’s automatically going to throw them in but we have no starlight that’s because

It has to be nighttime in order for us to use this and i definitely recommend you having a hammock somewhere so you can easily skip to the evening even though it’s evening is falling upon us this will let you sleep uh sometime after mid morning it’ll actually let you sleep until night

Time it’s kind of handy for sleeping through the day so even with it not fully being nighttime we still have enough light to actually make this so all you gotta do is hit this up and i’m gonna make several of them i’m actually gonna make uh at least four to cover this platform

But i’m gonna be making more than that as time goes on i recommend putting the things in your hot bar by the way it makes it so much easier to craft um or your bookmark bar bar by the way also on the quest like um just be sure

To check some of the things because like i said had i not looked at this i would have thought oh wait how am i going to actually get into this mod if i didn’t actually have this thing so be sure to check your quests as it could be really helpful

So as just a quick tip um i do recommend using uh your rock crystals in here because you have such an abundance of them normally i’d recommend using aquamarine but in this case definitely utilize your rock crystals and i just have them uh exporting the bottom they only export

Fluids out of the bottom i do believe i think i tried hooking them to the side they just they don’t work um so you definitely need a pipe from the bottom and that’ll start building up your nice supply of liquid starlight which like i said i want to use in my reactor

But we also need it to progress later on through this mod um and why am i doing this by the way why are we getting an astral sorcery well there are some things that we actually need as far as this creative line goes that we’re going to actually need

From astro sorcery i believe one of the items in not this setup here but there is another one down the line that definitely requires like late game astro sorcery i believe it’s one of these one of these requires something i just can’t remember i think it’s the oblivion shard yeah

It’s the iranian star this right here uh this is one of the items that is late game astro sorcery that that’s the only way you’re gonna be able to obtain this is via late game astro sorcery and you can see it shows the constellation that is needed and i don’t

Even think that’s one of the five early constellations this is one of the more advanced constellations that you’re going to need to make this so i’m about to upgrade our luminous crafting table to its next tier however i’m noticing we don’t really have a whole lot of starlight that is uh

In this um as of right now like we’re ready to craft this but i am noticing there’s just not a whole lot of actual starlight that this is receiving we are definitely gonna need to upgrade and we’re gonna need to make some uh astral relays to do that

I think setting up uh let’s see three of them will be good enough um there was some tweaks between like 112 version of astro sorcery in this version um you can’t no i don’t think you can no longer set them up the way that i used to set

Them up which would definitely grant you a lot more uh this way is where i’m going to show you here in a minute how to do this but first let’s go ahead and upgrade this thing now i want to talk to you a little bit about upgrading

As of right now i did build this platform and i am upgrading this to its next tier while doing this going from this tier to the next one you don’t want to build the platform because if you start modifying this platform now this alter here

Will no longer work you can see that our link our starlight bar is here but if i was to break one of these blocks for example notice it turns red we can’t actually use it anymore so if we were to break this we can’t actually upgrade to the next tier

So that is a mistake that i have definitely made many times i just want to let you guys know don’t dissemble disassemble this and recreate and make the upgrade to the next tier because you’ll be disappointed when you realize you have to rebuild this one to actually upgrade so just a quick tip

Um now let’s get on to how we’re gonna generate more starlight and actually make this bar go all the way to the top by the way i just went ahead and made up the uh the aquamarine seed but i did want to test this out you guys were telling me hey

You know this fertilized farmland it does work but you do need to utilize some other methods around it and i mean it is fast but is it faster than just using supremium farmland i mean it it maybe i it’s hard for me to even

See like this seems to i mean i do have the stuff underneath it so i guess without the need of anything else like this is actually pretty quick and it’s really nice for like small setups like this when you need like a boost for something like this is actually

Pretty quick also a nice little quick tip you can do things in bulk so for example this right here if you want to do it in bulk you definitely can make them in bulk and you’re going to need a bunch of these relays later on so i recommend

Making quite a few of them if you can just go ahead and make all these things in bulk believe me you’re not going to regret making astro relays as they will be used for some later game stuff anyways um and also glass lenses you’re definitely going to want it to invest

Into some glass lenses and so what i’m going to do here is i’m going to make some extra glass lenses and yeah all of this stuff can be done in bulk it’s so long as you have enough starlight to do it so you see this particle effect here i’m going

To show you how to make this and this is going to boost our starlight you can see it’s already kind of boosted quite a bit here and so to do this all we’re going to use is marble arches place them in a pattern like this uh also use some chiseled marble

In a pattern like so and then also hit that with some sodium marble and then all we have to do in order to boost our liquid starlight or boost our starlight is to place down the relay and then also put the glass in here by the way this is all mentioned in the

Book so if you do want to read all this stuff in the book of course you can i’m going to show you i’m showing you more or less a quick sort of guide on how to get started with this and uh yeah hopefully uh you learn a little bit of something from this

Astral sorcery is one of my favorite mods it’s also what adds this little flare floating around this is actually a patreon supporter perk from the dub the dev hellfire pvp so uh yeah if you’re interested in getting one of these little fellas um you can of course head over there of

Course i do have a patreon myself i don’t want to forget to leave that out um but anyways i do recommend supporting your mod devs those that’s that’s an amazing thing to do if you guys have the ability to support mod devs as they’re what keeps these mods coming

So anyways as you can see our bar is completely filled now so we do have some extra and we are benefiting now from all of these which is really nice because we’re gonna need more and more starlight the further on we go in this mod so with us getting further into astro

Sorcery you definitely want to start looking at making a looking glass um so that’s one thing we need and then potentially making two looking glasses um this is kind of beneficial i think having two looking at glasses are really helpful and i’m gonna show you why

So one looking glass will let you look up in the sky but we also want to use another one to craft ourselves a telescope and the telescope is going to help us kind of pinpoint where a constellation is and thus uh kind of go from there in determining

Where exactly this is going to be so this thing is really helpful um all we got to do is place it down somewhere like right over here and so now we can kind of uh go through and sort of figure out where these you can see these buttons

You can see the kind of stars highlighting here we can like draw stars and and connect the dots well if we’re looking off in this direction and we use this i think this is a much easier tool to sort of find where those stars are

At i don’t know i just find that this is definitely a better tool for doing it as you can see the glowing stars yes that does help but this has a i don’t know with you being able to move it you can kind of see them a little bit i’m trying to find

A good example and just not getting one anyways this right here is also a great way to do it if you kind of see them in line up yeah that’s a good thing to find now speaking of constellations these are two constellations you can see them right here

Them being red i i’m not used to that them showing up as red here um these are i think more advanced constellations that just showed up uh we needed to actually make the constellation papers so let’s go ahead and get into that so to be able to uh

Get into making ourself the actual constellation papers we need yourself a crystal lens this is how we’re going to get into making the star metal and also getting the star dust which is one of the required pieces for it um so to do that we need to place down our crystal

However i don’t know if i can break this so i’m kind of scared of actually placing this down i’m hoping that i can break it uh let’s grab some dirt i want a place actually we can just use these logs um i want to place it a little high

Up here in the sky um because we could actually use it to power our altar which is kind of a a plus uh let’s go ahead and break this and place it down i hope that i can break it okay good we could we can break it okay perfect

That makes it so much easier um i was hoping that it wasn’t like the variant that you can’t break so we have that we can now use it you know we can link it we need a linking tool i haven’t made that yet we’re going to talk about that here in a second

Um but i do want to go ahead and start making some wood that is required to make this we need engraved infused wood to get engraved and fused wood but then the luminous crafting table but first how do we get engraved infused wood we throw our logs in here

And we have this beautiful reaction that happens and this wood is actually really nice looking i actually like this wood so it being thrown in here we are now getting all this kind of different infused wood which looks like this by default so i just got myself some infused planks and then

I need to craft these into this variant bam so different types of wood all kinds of different patterns and stuff you can make engraved infused wood is one that we’re going to need in order for the crystal lens all right so crystal lens we have like i

Said i need you need to make these things you like you weren’t going to be disappointed we need rock crystals um looks like some attuned marble so a couple of rock crystal not too difficult there i think we have almost everything we need in order to craft this we need aquamarine

Of course by the way we have a bunch of that that’s built up definitely recommend making the seed that’ll make your life so much easier and there we go so it says we can make seven of them um weird that it’s saying we’re going to make seven uh okay

I’ll take it apparently we’re making seven of them i don’t i i don’t know why but that’s the case there’s seven of them interesting that it made seven i wonder if that was based on the crystals that we put in weird but anyways we can now take this

And make a linking tool so this right here is a linking tool and we are of course going to need that uh looks like we need two logs and that’s about it linking tool let’s go ahead and craft that up pretty much the same sort of setup aquamarine i’m gonna have that

Memorized by the time we’re done with astral sorcery there we go get this crafted up and then we can actually connect this to here and start converting or over and that’s why i’ve kind of kept iron ore just laying around it is for this specific reason so i’m gonna click here

That’s gonna select the crystal and then i’m going to click this right and now i need iron ore and what i can do is i can place an iron ore here and then i can link this to the iron ore and as you can see with it being night

It immediately converted this into star metal ore so pretty powerful that it can do this now it can also link multiple blocks i believe i think you can link this to multiple things okay so this can turn but this could technically be linked linked to these as well

Um however i’m not setting that up i just want to get enough of these in order to get us kind of jump started into making those constellation papers so now after we have ourselves some star metal you may be wondering how do i get star metal dust as things have kind of

Changed in this mod well i’m going to go over how to do that first we need to smelt this down into actual star metal so let’s find a good source to do that how about right over here this will cook it down into star metal

There we go and now we need to actually make a special tool um which is this thing the star metal cutting tool i know it seems kind of interesting and infused wood all that stuff we also need some of these and it needs to be nighttime again so

I’m going to be doing some daytime sleeping and just like that we’re about to have ourself a nice little tool that is going to allow us to cut the star metal it seems a little injured a little weird to do this i i don’t know exactly what we have to

Do but i know it’s a cutting tool i don’t know if this is like something we have to hit on the ground oh it is oh okay so we have to punch the star metal while we’re doing this we punch the star metal and it turns it into star dust very very interesting

By the way one of the things i’m needing for these constellation papers are fish and well i did set this up a while ago i just never really mentioned it this is a marine fissure and it literally just you hook it up to power and it’s fishing this area down below

You can see it highlighted it’s super simple to set up and i just have it automatically pushing into an inner chest getting a little bit of power and it just farms everything it’ll farm fishing rods enchants all the fishing stuff that you could ever want is being farmed up from

There which is super awesome um and it’s really helpful because hey we needed it for this so let’s go ahead and make these things look at this we’re gonna go and get eight even though technically we only need five so uh you know i’m gonna go ahead and make just eight uh

Well once the night it comes back as you can see it’s already day again so there’s a little bit of time going by we can now craft them oh boy and as we pick them up it’s probably going to complete or it’s going to auto complete all of the uh

The ones that we currently have available to us so you can see we got oh wait because we picked all of them up at once it only gave us vco no no no no no what oh that’s that’s that’s funny okay so i’m gonna try it again this time maybe

I mean now it shows that this is vco but it should only do one at a time i hope it gives me a blank one this time and oh no so technically we are kind of stuck with the constellation papers i don’t know how we are going to go about getting

The other constellation papers to be able to see them oh no it’s definitely a bug i believe so i’m pretty sure this is a bug so to go ahead and do that i went ahead and just spawned in the other corresponding books um hopefully that’ll be fixed i did post

Uh an issue over on the issue tracker um same thing i would recommend if you guys do come into con like if you guys have any issues with the packs like be sure to let the mod devs know otherwise they’re not gonna they’re not gonna know what needs to be fixed right

So with all of our constellations we should now be able to put them into our book and when we open this up we should see our different constellations here um and yeah this is what i’m used to seeing just not them all colored which is kind of cool to see them all colored

Here so well i believe i have found amara here up in the sky so i am kind of hunting for this this is sort of the shape up in the sky that i think i’m seeing right here so kind of i don’t know memorize this in your head

If you have a hard time maybe using screenshots would help but i think it looks just like this and there we go we now have tracked amara in the sky and uh we should actually be able to see ammar in the sky right over there look at that um and

Another way to find more is to use this of course this will help you kind of track where more are at and hopefully you can use your scope to kind of find it you can see right there kind of track that one out and yeah just keep scoping things out until you find

All of them now not all of them are going to be out every night so keep that in mind as well when you’re hunting for all of your different constellations so i know we may not have gotten too far into astral sorcery but i

Did cover a lot of the tips and i think moving forward it will go a lot faster as we proceed through astro sorcery but um we haven’t even gotten to the fun stuff yet the fun stuff is when we get into attunement and that’s when things really start to
