Welcome builders andy israeli and welcome back to turning a kingdom into a village no wait a village into a kingdom that’s right here is a sneak preview of what we’re going to be doing today bridges forestry areas coal mines gates and sawmills anyway let’s get on with This so it’s really a village still a village we’re still depending on wood we haven’t even reached the stone age yet in minecraft so we’re keeping it real we’re keeping it upgraded slowly bit by bit as if it was a real civilization that’s going to be expanding as they Explore new territory and as they find new resources so what do we need well we need a gate we need a way of getting in and out otherwise we’re stuck inside our own little place so what i’m doing is adding on a couple of simple wooden Towers oh by the way big shout out and thank you to new channel members sabre fang and steve gt55 thank you so much guys for becoming channel members you press that green join button you get access to my private discord server and also my private minecraft server and you Get to add me as a friend on discord and use all sorts of emotes when you’re watching the live streams by the way i’m live streaming every day a city build at 4 p.m and 10 p.m uk time which is 11 00 a.m and 5 p.m eastern standard us time If you want to see a city being built and you want to chat to me live then check out my live streams every single day on youtube okay this however is being built on twitch twitch.tv if you want to see this being built live and recorded it’s twitch.tv Forward slash andy is yoda so plenty of live streams for you guys to join in so a couple of towers a nice um kind of parapet between the towers a bit of a balcony going all the way around and i decided to use some birch wood for The main gates and i think they look like nice fine uh looking white and black flanked gates i love it i love it okay just swinging the camera around here you can see um behind the gate now i’m going to try and build up this area here i don’t Quite get this finished today but i did like the way this turned out and if you’ve got any ideas what we should add to this gate then put them in the comments by the way thank you so so much for all your suggestions in the comments i actually Wrote down a whole list of things that you guys have suggested in the comment section unbelievable people have suggested things like windmills taverns castles marketplaces town halls stables barracks quarries gates a storehouse i particularly like that idea of a storehouse statues and turn the library into some Stone archives so thank you so much for all your comments your comments are absolutely amazing i will try and scatter a few of your comments into this video if i find the time now i should do i should do doesn’t take too long but yeah So this back gate here i want to add to it i’m just kind of leaving it rough and ready as if we’re halfway through upgrading this front gate here so yeah i’m going to leave it off round about here rough and ready half finished front Gate but it’s a good start i think maybe some sort of pork colors or chain that comes down would be a good thing anyway what else is good for defending your village our river so i’m using some special tools uh on my server here to just dig out a nice river going round This whole area i expect eventually our kingdom will get much much bigger than this area and expand beyond the river but for now we are bound by the rivers you know the territory that the river encloses and it goes around um the north the east and the west sides of our town South being down towards the bottom of the screen there okay adding in some water we’ve got a nice river wrapping around you can kind of see we’ve got maybe an expanded area where maybe we’ll push out the city walls later on but that does provide a nice bit of defense For our city uh well call it city there’s only three houses so far one house has been absorbed right into the um the gate so one person’s job is to be the gate keeper leaving only three houses a library and a blacksmith left in our village we’re going to be adding Some more houses uh later on okay here is our rear gate being added um and hit me up with more ideas in the comments guys if you’ve got a good idea of how we can take this village and just gently upgrade it bit by bit building by Building idea by idea get them in the comments and we can start to turn this into a real town it’s going to be exciting when we get to the stone age that’s what i’m going to call it when we start mining for stone so i think maybe In the next episode we’re going to go and build a nice big quarry we’re going to bring back some andesite and diorite and all sorts of nice blocks like that and make some stone bricks out the cobblestone and so on like that and what that’ll let us do is make some Stone towers but right now we’re still in the wooden phase of this minecraft village so what does that mean well we still got wooden bridges and of course we need to reach out we need to get some trees we need to find where the trees would be hauled back across this bridge Maybe pulled on a big sort of sledge by a horse or something would be the key to doing this so i’m making a diagonal bridge and if you ever want to do diagonal builds bridges are a great way to start in minecraft because um you just place the blocks diagonally and it Just looks good it’s one of the only things that’s done things that does look good in minecraft when you build in diagonal and that’s a nice little bridge so this bridge is leading over to a forestry area and we might build a little forester’s hut eventually as well But i’m just clearing in a bit of a work area here this is going to be where you would um fell the trees clear the area and putting in some coarse dirt some pod salt as well just to make it look like a kind of a working area where you chop The trees down you’ve stacked them up you’ve stored them and you’re bringing them back into the village a little bit later on okay great just hanging up a few the leaves the bushies and we’ll come back to that bridge and add a bit more detail to it later on so we’re Bringing a path now into the village and this is where the um the wooden logs are going to be hauled into the village ready to be cut up by this saw mill i’ve just realized i didn’t put any planks hmm you’ll see later on i build the Sawmill by the way in the middle of the picture they’re just putting some stairs up to the walkway we didn’t have any stairs anyway so that’s a job for next episode as well plenty of staircases up and into the the walkway all around the village okay so taking the five by five House using the five by five building system here i am uh increasing the size of this house and turning it into a sawmill but yeah i’ve got to put some sawn planks some actual minecraft planks plonked down in some nice piles a storeroom would be a great thing to add So i think in the next episode i’m going to add a storeroom i’m going to add a few more houses i’m going to add a stone quarry but what else should we add to the village and should we be going on to stone towers as early as episode three Here’s a nice little simple 5×5 building system saw mill or the miller’s house here the place where he he or she would come and chop up all the logs saw them into nice long thin planks ready for building your minecraft empire if you like everything follows the 5×5 building System if you’d like to see the 5×5 system building tutorial then i do have a link in my description to all my 5×5 builds and my upgrade builds as well if you’ve got any good ideas about my next 13 upgrades video or i might call it a 9 Upgrades video um it’s just quicker then do let me know in the comment section as well um okay so we’ve got it’s going to bound and put about a fence around this saw miller’s area here there’s already got some sawn logs with some nice little railways covering things up there as well Okay just adding some detail to this place and little fences some little bits of gate as well and i’ve used some iron bars i don’t know if you can see that just inside on top of the log there so the place is coming alive it’s starting to grow as if it was expanding As if people were moving in and increasing the sizes of their houses so what i’m doing here is just kind of laying out some foundations of where we can expand the little house in the middle and we can expand the blacksmiths as well um what other sort of trades do you Think we should have in this place we’ve got a sawmill should we have a stone mason perhaps that would be something we could add obviously we’ve got um we’ve got already a blacksmith and a librarian i don’t know why a librarian is so important in the start of a Village but we have a library maybe it’s abandoned and we can take it over and turn it into some archives later on okay so around this corner here i thought i would add a little um linking path down to what was actually i don’t know if you Can actually see that on camera but um that little natural cave there does actually have some coal ore in it and i thought we’d pile up the coal or here and then i thought no that’s a really silly idea well someone in my twitch chat said um no When you hit call or with your pickaxe it turns into coal so just pile up the coal there ready to be uh i don’t know we could maybe use that in a furnace maybe we could add some sort of large smelting furnace and make some iron as Well but like i’ve done in one of my well my nine upgrades video recently right a little bit of detail here i thought i would add a little bit of a trellis there with some grass on it just to provide a bit of shade on the bridge Bit of an aesthetic detail which i quite liked and that is it guys that is us pretty much done episode two thank you so so much indeed for watching and a bridge sawmill a forestry area some stairs and some gentle upgrades to some of the houses take care You Video Information
