Apotheosis – The Adventure Module! Part 1 – Bit-By-Bit Minecraft mod 1.18.2+

Welcome to the Mischief I’m Valen and this is apotheosis today I’m going to be showing you the adventure module there’s several modules and I’ll be covering those in other videos today we’re going to be covering a lot about the gear Loot and mobs that you might be running into

As this is the first video I’ll also be showing you how you can get into this mod and find all this information out for yourselves to start with make yourself a book get some gold and make yourself the chronicle of Shadows opening it up you have a fantastic array of information at

Your fingertips it’s actually really well organized and very efficiently described for just about everything in the mod as I stated in the beginning I’ll be covering the adventure module if you’re curious about what this mod has to offer there’s a lot of configuration you can do with it including turning on

And off several modules which may affect other modules as well so be aware of that but know that this one is going to be specifically covering the adventure module which is more or less about the foes and the different loot that you can find in the world yes this mod does add

Some minor World Generation and a lot tougher mobs and mob bosses that you may experience in the world whether it be found in loot chests or killed off of different mobs that you might experience just wandering around in the world they may drop specific items whether it be

Some kind of armor weapons or some strange jewelry Gems or other curios and trinkets there are several different Rarities starting with the most common you’ve got this gray red one here and it’s going to have different affixes which are going to change the stats and often give some kind of benefit or

Potentially a drawback to each item most likely it’s going to be a benefit that you’d enjoy Gray colored items that you may find off of mobs or potentially in chests will have some kind of minor enhancement attempted to be attached to the item now I say enhancement and that

Does not always mean a positive because it might be something that could not benefit you depending upon your gear setup but most likely the benefits are going to be better than your standard vanilla made items next you’ve got your green items green items will give you a

Little bit more they sometimes will also have sockets in them which you can then enhance them further with gems and so on that you may also find in the world whether be killing mobs or finding in chests then after that you’ll have the blue items which are going to have even

More stats and benefits you’ll even start gaining effects upon getting damaged or other items you’ll notice that there’s a specific item here saying when attacked gain resistance this is just an example of some of the things that you could potentially get and it will also sometimes come Enchanted just

About any of these items but don’t think that any of them even if they’re not Enchanted are not worthwhile moving on from Blue we have the purple set items these are going to be extremely rare and these are often some of the best items you could find but not the best they are

Still going to have a considerable amount of items and benefits enhancements and potentially enchantments already upon them and then the rarest of the rare the most difficult ones to obtain are those god-like ones that will give you a whole slew of different enhancements armor benefits Health speed who knows

What they’re all going to have a considerable amount of variety enhanced upon them and this is just showing you some of the armor benefits that you could have this also happens the same with all the different kinds of tools or weapons that you could find in the world

And there’s also going to be gems as I mentioned before there’s going to be some socketing that you could potentially do if you have some kind of tool weapon or other item it could also have empty socket slots it could have none one or even more than that and if

You have gems to put in them it’s actually most likely going to benefit it depending upon the item that you’re using obviously if I have a shovel I’m probably not going to be using this different damage enhancements on it whereas something like this elongated golden sword of the frostlands I’ve

Given it a plus six fire damage gem for example this Valance gem here plus 3.5 knockback resistance if I take Felix’s blessed iron barbette of stubbornness combine that with that balance gem I could potentially enhance it all I need is a smithing table then I can put both

Of these items in there together and it will then increase this to be a little bit more effective in this case it’s giving me an extra 3.5 knockback resistance now you can get gems from Mob drops you will also likely find them in some kind of chests throughout the world

We’ll be covering that in the next module but for now know that you can get them from chests and monsters if you want to remove a gem from an item or remove an item from a gem you have a couple options and that is with a vial

Of searing expulsion or the vial of Arcane extraction either of these is going to do one or the other but it will destroy the opposite for example the vial of searing expulsion in a smithing table to remove the gems but it will destroy them in the process thus leaving

An empty socket on your tool or weapon or armor but the gem itself will be destroyed and then if you use the the vial of our kin extraction it would be the reverse where your gem is saved and the tool item or armor is destroyed you probably also notice that there are a

Few different things in here you’ve got thick potions you’ve got blaze rods ender pearls amethyst shards Magma Cream lava buckets or water buckets and Gem dust how does one make gem dust well it’s actually simpler than it sounds you simply need a gem and an anvil and a

Little bit of height to place it in this case I’m going to place a second Anvil just so that I can put this down you put the gem down on the ground back away from it so you don’t accidentally pick it up then you place down an anvil above it

It should crush it and turn it into dust there we go gem dust now it may be a waste of a gem but then again some of the gems that you might get might not be all that useful but hey you know what with the number of Mobs

And items that you’re likely to find in the world with all the different uh goodies and loot that you’re going to be getting from them you’re going to have excess and what better way to use them than to salvage them for later use so a

Salvage table is made with a bit of gem dust which I’ve just demonstrated how you can make but a copper smithing table and a couple tools with some lava bucket placing that down you then have a UI in here where you can put different items like that barbute of stubbornness can be

Put in here and you’ll get one to four time worn fabric when you click this Salvage items list and there’s this the uh the outcome if I put this in here as well this one is also the same Rarity the different Rarities depend will show you the different outputs that you’ll

Likely be getting from this each one for example if I take this one that is god-like and put it in here I’ll get a different material potentially popping out of there but if I process both of these items I can get between two to eight time worn Fabrics these can then

Be used to remake Future tools or items let’s click and find out what we get looks like I got four time worn fabric not too bad those were pretty junky tools compared to what I currently have already depending upon the Rarity you’re either going to get gray items a

Mysterious scrap metal green like the time worn fabric we just got blue gives you luminous crystal shards purple gets you Arcane Sans and orange gets you God forged pearls what to do with those new salvaged items you then can reforge them on your reforging table this is made with some Nether Bricks bit

Of gem dust an enchanting table and another right Ingot opening up the UI of the reforging table you then have a few different slots here and some different like readouts think of it as an enchanting table where you are actually forging your Enchanted item you will

Need some kind of tool weapon Etc your armor even you can put it in here nothing’s really going to happen as of yet you can then put in some gem dust depending upon how many gems you’ve destroyed maybe you just put in one for now who knows put in some time worn

Fabric oh hey this is going to give it some kind of green Rarity effect on it and you can see here it will require 10 20 or 30 levels 2 4 or 6 levels will be used in that process and if you notice on the left there it’s saying 2 4 and 6

Gem dust and time warm fabric will be used in each case so since I’ve got a ton of levels that’s not really a problem but it looks like we’re going to need some more of this time worn fabric since I’ve got four let’s put those in there and it’ll require at least four

More of the gem dust this will allow me to get this or I can get this one and use half the materials now remember sometimes the different effects might outweigh the benefits of just getting a little bit more damage on something like a weapon in this case I’m doing some

Extra cold damage it’s got a pretty decent amount of damage altogether but in this case it says it’s vampiric you can get lifesteal when you use this weapon perhaps that’s more to your liking at a little bit less damage and it’ll save you materials and you might

Even be able to use those on some armor or some other item let’s go with that you notice that it’s not Enchanted it’s not an enchanting table it’s actually just imbuing the effect onto the item itself you don’t get that back you can salvage it then but you’re not going to be

Getting nearly as much of a benefit one to four time worn fabric but as I still have plenty of levels left and I still have these items I’m also in creative and you can see that none of those items were used because of that fact but now

That I’m in survival don’t worry about all this armor and health we’ll get into those kind of benefits shortly you’ll see that these two items are okay and this one is grayed out that’s because I don’t have the amount of time worn Fabric or the gem Dust In this case you

Notice that those ones are colored on the left side there but I can still use my remaining materials to enhance my armor as I like I’m not worried about the gravity of my person right now so I’m really going to go for the one that gives me a bit more armor toughness and

Some extra Max health there we go we now have a blessed iron chestplate of the defender now just for reference sake you can actually redo or reforge one of these ones that you’ve already done for example I like this chest plate but I don’t want to reuse

The iron for example even though these other things are probably a bit more valuable you could feasibly reforge this into something else in this case I’m going to give it a blue effect it does not stack with the green effects that are on there it will re-roll them into

What you see here one of these three options and you will notice that this one gives a bit of armor a bit of armor toughness some knockback resistance and a bit of Max Health Plus those two special abilities at the top and reduce durability damage looking at the next

One down the costs less it actually seems like it would be a better deal I’m getting more armor more health I’m actually getting speed instead of knockback resistance and I still have similar abilities I only get resistance for one second it sometimes might be a better deal to actually go for the

Cheaper one but there we go it’s been reforged it’s now a feathery iron chest plate of the current and yes you can still enchant these further so we’ve covered the affix loot let’s go over some of the attributes now some of them are pretty basic armor toughness damage knockback range it

Pretty much explains how these are calculated in each of these chapters and it’s definitely useful things like attack range this actually is how far you can reach when attacking specifically with a melee weapon attack speed is how fast you can attack cold damage is an extra magical damage effect

That happens in addition to your regular melee damage crit chance this allows you to actually get Critical Hits even without having to do the jump attack to do so crit damage will increase the multiplier when you get that crit current HP damage will do a percentage

Of the existing health of the mob you’re attacking so this can be really key for bosses or something that have a lot of like resistance or something along those lines draw speed is just how fast you can pull a bow back fire damage is just the same as cold damage but it’s fire

And will likely set a Target on fire I should mention that the cold damage all also will add a slowing effect gravity affects how you are affected by gravity basically if you fall slower faster Etc knockback resistance pretty self-explanatory lifesteal as you hit you’ll gain more life luck a kind of

Effect that you can passively have for when you open chests or other loop containers to get you a better role for better loot Max Health just increases your maximum health if you notice down here I’ve got a ton of extra Hearts mining speed movement speed those are all pretty basic overheel is something

That’s actually relatively different it gives you a benefit of extra temporary hearts that will stay until you reach your maximum for your overheal those can be lost and will be lost first but only if your current health is already full so it will take these off first then

Start going into your red regular Hearts piercing is damage that can Pierce through armor reach distance affects tools instead of weapons allowing you to reach further so that you can place or break blocks step height allows you a step assist where you instantly will step up a block it’s not an automatic

Jump it’s just an instant step up and this can actually go up multiple blocks and not just one swim speed is explanatory where it makes you go a little bit faster in the water now depending upon how you explore you may run into a boss before you run into a

Rogue spawner so let’s cover bosses there are multiple ways you can encounter a boss mob in this mod and this is one of them there we go we’ve got a new mob spawned nearby usually you’ll see some kind of Beacon points and a glowing mob that you could potentially find these are

Invaders and they can be very dangerous especially if you aren’t prepared for them now you’ll notice that this one has a blue aura this means that it is going to have some kind of blue uh item drop from it and that is also going to represent its difficulty if it’s going

To be something a bit uh more challenging or not now I am pretty well kitted out with what I’m currently wearing and I’m able to dispatch it very easily but you’ll notice that we did get some loot some extra loot all sorts of things now in this case because I’ve got

Some looting going on I did get the leather boots also which is just a regular depth Strider leather boots and some of the other items it had but in this case I got Darla’s feathery leather Hobart of stubbornness and the reason it has the name there is because

That’s the name of the mob that was just defeated and these are the different benefits that you can potentially get from this item usually it will drop one item that is uh specific to that mob will include their name sort of like vendorberg’s blast Forge iron bassinet

Of the defender uh Robbie lothraiser or ship pumpkins each of those were from a defeated boss of some sort and these can be really really strong or relatively weak depending upon what you end up finding something you should be made aware of is that sometimes their difficulty can be misleading you might

Have to come up with other ways of defeating them for instance a lot of mobs that are land-based you can just get them into a two block D pit and then hack away at them making it a bit simpler but if they’re a ranged enemy that could make things a little more

Challenging you’ll then have to probably swing at the feet and some of the enemies might even fly but that’s probably going to be something a little bit more challenging than just a regular uncommon or common item now to give you an example of some of the things you

Might run into this one here explosive damage taking is reduced and this one isn’t even enchanted with any kind of blast resistance it’s got protection for instead it also reduces physical damage now keep in mind that these are the items that these mobs are specifically wearing so you might have trouble

Fighting some of these bosses if they’ve got something specifically that when attacked will give them instant Health too so you’d have to do enough damage beyond the armor if you notice how much is on this chainmail it’s going to be a difficult way to kill them now given this one is a god-like

One let’s go down here to this this one here is a purple this is just shy of that and very rare it also gives an instant Health when attacked and resistance so this one can be really difficult as well especially if it’s got protection three and a whole bunch of

Armor and extra health so you will have some challenges in trying to figure out how to kill some of these bosses without dying yourself but it’s usually possible if you’re able to figure it out now there is another type of boss that you could fight and it would be the same one

But it’s one that you might find along the way this is a boss room it has a couple treasure chests and a boss spawner going into survival mode I then spawn the creature as I come in here and then I have to fight this in this small space or potentially wherever

It may be now it’s assumed that you would end up fighting one of these things underground after having mined in here so you’ll probably have a way of retreating but in my case I’m just having uh my opportunity to attack it it’s barely even attacking me if you

Want to see some of the effects that these things have let me sneak at it and you can see from the armor that it’s currently wearing it’s got a lot of Health a lot of armor on it and a lot of different effects knockback resistance speed bonuses to attack damage and so on

Fire resistance is pretty common among most of these mobs now that one wasn’t too difficult for me it probably wouldn’t have been too difficult for most people because it was a flying mob stuck in a a darker space but uh out in the Overworld that would have been quite the terror because it

Would have been flying up there for quite some time occasionally diving down to do some damage on you the ultimate reward was of course from thorversquitas it’s got blast protection and protection on this helmet already which means that it’s got some undoable magical enchantments plus it’s got all the extra

Benefits instant Health on attacks and so on but I was thankfully doing more than enough damage with my sword to outdo its instant Health that it was getting it also has a couple empty sockets so with that new chaotic gem I could feasibly add that to something to enhance it but

In this case as it’s a helmet I probably won’t be increasing some kind of mining speed now let’s cover Rogue spawners these are going to be a little bit different from the regular bosses but just think that every mob that you run into could potentially be a mini boss of

A sort it might have some kind of special drop in it that you can’t see or it might have special effects going on so don’t underestimate your enemies that aside Rogue spawners are something you’ll likely find underground now there are two kinds of Rogue spawners one is a

Swarm spawner the other is a brutal spawner let’s take a look at a swarm spawner first putting down a torch you can see that there’s a lot of spiders they all have some kind of special effects going on as well it’s because underneath this lodestone is a swarm

Spawner these if you take a look at it control for stats it’s got specific statistics on this spawner and spawners can actually be harvested with silk touch or even affected in world where you find them so if you do find some and you don’t have silk touch as of yet you

Might just want to mark it on a map or a location using your F3 coordinates or your mini-map of choice so you can come back and get it later on when you’re ready or you can just start enhancing it now if you have the materials for it but

If you look at this spider it has speed on it so these are going to be extra fast and a swarm spawner is going to have special abilities to well spawn maximum entities and quickly so if you look at the minimum spawn delay it’s 50 ticks that’s two and a half seconds

The maximum spawn delay is going to be a little bit more than double that and it can spawn up to a maximum of 10 entities nearby up to two at a time so it can really swarm you with a whole bunch of entities this is the other type of

Spawner a brute spawner a brute spawner will spawn mobs at a slower rate but they’ll be a bit stronger and more difficult to deal with if you look at this one here it’s got a minimum spawn delay of 200 and a Max of 400 with my torch nearby it’s probably offsetting it

A little bit so let’s move that a little bit further away you’ll have a spawn count of three with a Max entity that’s a bit lower than the Swarm one that we saw earlier in this case it’s spawning zombies I think it spawned one on the opposite side of this pillar which is

Fine with me and you’ll notice of course they have special things like fire resistance on them as well doesn’t mean that they won’t be helped by other nearby mobs but each one even if you don’t silk touch it will have some kind of item loot box underneath it in most

Cases and they’re often labeled with some kind of out of place block on top in case they’re in the ground in this case we’ve got a bit of cracked stone bricks now I currently have a silk touch pick which will allow me to mine this grabbing that I should be able to then

Use this to my own means get out of here you grabbing it then I can check the loot inside oh my goodness sometimes these are really good other times they’re not as well as you noticed with the boss chest we had earlier it also helps that

I have a huge amount of luck benefits from the armor that I’m currently wearing which will increase the loot uh likelihood of being extra good and that should just about do it for the adventure module tune into the next episode so that you can check out how we
