Hey Art friends today we’re drawing another character from Minecraft what are we drawing this time a bat yeah we hope you get a beautiful drawing supplies we’re going to use markers you also need some paper and some of the colors yeah you’re ready to start yes we have our paper turned Horizontal so that we have room for the wings we’re first going to draw the bat’s head and we’re going to draw a square right here we’re going to draw an letter L we’re going to come down like this and then we’re going to draw the Bottom and to draw a square we want this line and this line to be the same length you could measure it with a ruler if you want and we also want to drop in the center of our paper so that we have room for the wings on both sides yes So we’re just going to use our eyes to measure these two lines to make them equal then we’re going to draw the top the same length as the bottom and then we’ll come down and connect to make our Square I love it good job now let’s draw a Rectangle shape for the body we’re going to come down I’m going to make it a little skinnier than the head so we’ll come down and these lines will be longer than this line down here so that it’s a rectangle shape yes there you go and you can make them Just a little longer yeah and then we’ll connect the bottom from the left side over to the right now let’s draw the feet and we’re just going to draw them really simple we’re going to draw a rectangle shape that comes out to the left and I’m also kind Of drawing them diagonal just for fun but in Minecraft they’re straight and they’re also connected but we’re gonna keep it simple just like this we draw next the ears yeah let’s do it let’s draw two lines coming straight up from the head there you go and one on the other side to match And then I’m going to make my just a little taller then we’re going to draw a line that comes out horizontal past the head the width of the head and we’ll do the same thing to match on this side and then we’re going to come down We’re going to come down like this and then we’ll connect into the head yeah and the same thing yeah you’re right on the same thing on the right side too my left ear is a little bit bigger than my right ear but that’s okay and I love that our two drawings don’t Look exactly the same they’re both turning out awesome that’s because the most important thing is definitely and to practice practice it’s okay if your drawings look different than ours too I’m sure they’re turning out awesome okay let’s keep going let’s draw the mouth next we’re gonna start here on the Left side we’re going to draw a line that comes up and we’re going to draw a line that comes up also on the right side and I’m kind of imagining that it’s one pixel on each side of the mouth and then you could also draw yours just a little Taller and then let’s connect them at the top yeah then we’re also going to draw the eyes we’re going to cut start here and we’re going to draw a horizontal line that comes over I’m going to do the same thing like it’s sleeping it does you could turn it Upside down and it’s sleeping let’s also draw a line that comes up and I’m pretending that this is one pixel high it’s the same height as the mouth and then we’ll come out to the side and we’ll do the same thing over here now it’s not sleeping the eyes are open but We need to draw the pupil so let’s draw a line right in the middle yes and then I’m going to draw another line straight down from The Eye Inside of the mouth on both sides that’s scary it does a little scary huh we’re gonna color in this little square And this little square it doesn’t look that scary yeah now it’s a little more friendly huh I’m gonna also color in the mouth on the inside I went outside of the line right here that’s okay we’re gonna color it brown and that will hide it okay now let’s Also add a square up here the middle of each ear so I’m going to do the same thing on the right ear and then we can color in these squares too that part we sped up so remember you can pause the video if you need extra time Next we’re ready to draw the wings and this part’s kind of tricky because there’s a lot of zigzags or pixels we’re going to start by drawing a line that comes out and we’ll pretend that that’s two pixels and we could just repeat the same line on each side since it’s symmetrical or The same on both sides now let’s draw one pixel up and one pixel in and we’ll do the same thing over here one pixel up and out further okay now we’re gonna draw another pixel up but this time we’ll draw um two pixels two pixels over so one two And we’ll do the same thing over here one pixel up and two pixels out there you go good job I love your bat it’s turning out awesome now we’re gonna draw one pixel down so it matches this line and then we’ll draw one pixel out and down And that should match over here too right and we’ll do the same thing over here this is a little different than the actual bat in Minecraft but that’s okay we’re trying to keep the lesson simple all right now let’s draw let’s draw another pixel out foreign Then let’s draw one pixel down and we’ll do the same thing over here that kind of looks like two pixels over and then one pixel down then let’s do the same thing we’re going to go over further like two pixels and then down one and same thing over here Over two and down one oh yeah there you go down and then another one out two and then down one and out two down one I think this one was supposed to be out too but that’s okay let’s do one more pixel out and down and one more out and down over here Nice then we’re going to come out one and down two or three kind of looks like three and we’ll come down further on the side so just a longer line this is really fun it’s kind of feels like a puzzle doesn’t it yeah we’re gonna come in one and then down one and In one down one and then same over here then we’re gonna do that one more time in one down one and one down one pixel then we’re gonna come over one pixel and over one pixel then we’re gonna go back up all right here we go we’re gonna go up one and Then this time we’re going to come over two up one and over two because my body is really short we are going to change it from the video game so we’re gonna come up again and then in one up at one and in two sorry up one and two And then we’re going to do the same thing so we’re just trying to come up to the body in the game it actually comes down so we’re gonna we are changing it that’s okay right yeah the best part about art is we can change it and make It any way we want so there you go and mine’s going to be a little different than yours I’m going to come down and then in I’m going to come down on this side and end also and on yours what do you want to do you did it oh it works oh You’re a little further away huh go yes I also love that we changed it from the actual video game it still looks awesome we’re not completely done though we still yeah this part will fast forward but at the end you can pause the video to match your same coloring you’re ready to fast Forward yeah if I said you did a great job you did a great job too Austin and I love how it turned out all colored in I even added extra texture to my bat but you can leave it off to keep the lesson a lot easier we used our bional markers but You can use whatever you have at home yeah I like colored pencils or even crayons we use y552 which is a dark brown for the back color but I also use this prismacolor colored pencil beige to add pixel texture to the back but also love how it looks without the texture Thank you we hope you had a lot of fun joining your Minecraft we do we hope you had a lot of fun and we hope you take time to color your drawings you can even cut these out and use them as decorations yeah we’ll see you later our friends goodbye Video Information
