Resources all the way through to the end Good morning good afternoon good evening and good night penny what time you watching this next episode for me am amounts in my farm tutorial series today is a little bit different we’re not doing one big fancy-schmancy farm with loads of redstone that collects a bazillion blocks an hour for you we are

Going to do a really simple start of farms we’re not going to do a block by block tutorial but I am going to show you how they work if you want a block by block tutorial let me know in the comments and we’ll perhaps do some block

By blocks on these ones for you we’re going to go and start from the first farm which is really easy to do right the very very very beginning of your world and then progress through to farm eight which maybe requires some of the resources that you get from the first

Few farms it does make logical sense to make them in this order although of course you can make them in an ordeal one also most of them are expandable I’m going to make small farms but you can expand these fellows up to quite large amounts of farm and get lots lots more

Resources let’s crack on the first farm on the list is first on the list because you need the least resources for it all you need are nine slaps that are not wood so I’ve gone for cobble because they’re the easiest for torches and nine saplings which you can get if you

Massacre just a few oak trees now it’s really important that we’re going for oak trees here we’re going for production of easy wood we’re not going for aesthetics so we got birch and spruce and dark oak we just want a load of wood so this is what we’ve got we’ve

Got a block eight high so if I just block up so we’ve got one two three four five six seven eight high and on top of that eight we’ve got a slap and then we need to count in a pattern where we go in one direction two dots and then left

One and then forwards two and then left one and you do that so as you get a little bit of a slant t-square alright you can make this as big as you want I always start with nine because you get quite good growth and after a time these

Things grow and they don’t go into giant oaks because they are stopped by the slab that means that they’re dead easy to cut down you get loads of wood bashing your sapling to replace it every time you cut one down and you have enough wood to move on to the second fire

And that second farm is an afk fish farm yes controversial choice but I’m telling you you make one of these right towards the early start your game you are in like Flynn for the rest of it this takes not that much resource I though that come on

This very very little resource in this fella you need two sticks and free bits of strings to make your first fishing rod go and bash a few spiders spiders are easy at the beginning of the bang you find loads of them you’ve got a couple of hoppers a couple of barrels a

Single oak fence three signs a note block which is only four bits of wood one bit of redstone which you would have got when you were ironing for the iron for the iron trapdoor and a single Oaks lab an oak pressure plate and a bucket

Of water and then if you want to you can door the fancy-schmancy stuff that I’ve done around here which is kage it off so as you can’t get got by any mobs including phantoms when you’re a fkn and it is really simple just come inside fish away and collect up your earnings

And your winnings inside here this is going to give you XP but more importantly it’s going to give you some loot like some bows because those bows are going to become very useful in just a moment this farm could not be more simple a barrel with a hopper going into it with

A barrel on top and another hopper going into it you can make that as tall as you like then get yourself a fence post pop it on top of that hopper put a note block next to it and on the other three sides put signs on top of the fence post

Put a order and pressure plate don’t forget to water lock the fence post whatever you do and on top of the note block using shift-click put an iron trapdoor then get yourself a slab that is equal to the top of that hopper there and then just fish away and before you

Know you’re gonna get loads of XP and a load of loot that easy annex farm is a simple food farm specifically we’re going for wheat because of something we need in a later farm but this could be carrots this could be be true potatoes it could be a

Mixture of all of them if you wanted to and this is why we wanted that afk fish farm or at least one of the reasons because we want some dispensers and dispensers need a bow and just in case you don’t want to go and beat up

Skelly’s afk fishing is a superb way to go and get yourself a number of bowls this is a absolute doddle water dispensers the dispensers washes across the way blows it into this little channel here this channel has a hopper underneath this last log here that hopper runs into

A barrel and you then collect your stuff up from the barrel you can then come up manually come into through the gate in this block here so as you don’t jump on top of your farm come inside replant it with the seeds that you’ve got you know plenty of spare seeds left

Over which is great because you can then compost them for bone meal and you are away and ready to do the next one now you’ve made your crop farm you can make your leather and meat farm you need the wheat in order to make this farm work

Really really well this could not be more simple you trap a couple of cows in here and this farm is going to go on for days all we’ve got is a barrel with a hopper going into it surrounded by a 3×3 square here of wood which you’ve mined

Out of your wood phone right in the middle spot here you pop a water bucket and then you make in the four cardinal points one two three four bits of wood again lure yourself two cows into this space they’re dead simple and once you’ve got a couple of cows or if you

Want to lure more that’s entirely fine put yourself a fence post over the top which will help them stop – Bob you can do that dead easy if I take that off you pop a fence post there one on the side of it like that and you’ve got a

Fence post over the top then all you need to do is breed up your cows you can see we’ve already got a load of stuff in here once you reach 24 cows that’s the capacity the 25th cow will die what’s really good about this is the fact that

Baby cows don’t die before the big boy cows do the big boy and girl cows they die first they sacrifice themselves for the baby cows which means only adult cow has died and you only get the drops so once you’ve got yourself with all of the cows you need get yourself your weight

Breed up the cow just by clicking on and you can go sort of around the fence post they all love that way however those cows start to die off mercilessly and as a result of those deaths you end up getting more stuff in your barrel and

You can connect loads and loads of stuff this isn’t just good for food this is good for leather which when combined with a farm that comes really soon we can make loads of books which means that we get ourselves in chanting farm number five is a stone

Farm and I do mean stone phone because if at some point you get yourself a silk touch pick this is a stone farm not just a cobblestone farm but as a cobblestone generator it works beautifully you’ve got lava secreted behind this block in a row of three going back

You’ve got waterlogged blocks stairs specifically facing inward so they don’t spew out water in this direction and if you just come up against here and you’ve got this sign here to stop the water coming out and you mine out these blocks and just keep on mining by keeping your

Finger on the button you could maybe find that key and make it an afk farm if you wanted to you can spend just a little time bashing these blocks dead simply and as a result of that lava and that water combining it creates stone without a silk touch pick you get cobble

Stone with a silk touch pick you get the stone and that all flows into this little barrel here I do like barrels rather than chests but chess work equally rows you’ve got 22 cobblestone there don’t dead simple yeah you can get a load of cobblestone from mining but

Maybe you don’t want to undermine all of your base you just want to create loads of cobble this way it’s entirely up to you the next farm is as much fun as it is useful but sweet berries do have a number of good things about them you can

Use them for defense you can use them for making bone mill using a composter you can use them as food that don’t sustain you for long but they do work the Fox comes along sees the berries gets very excited bites the berries off the bush keeps one for itself and puts

The rest into this barrel here it is a slow farm but over time you can accumulate quite a lot of berries all the berries getting collected by this my car with hopper going backwards and forwards fox is actually not that hard to collect into this chamber because if

You plant these bushes up and the berries grow and you give them a root in they’ll actually come in all on their own the next really useful farm farm 7 is a sugar cane farm this is dead simple and this is a very small version of it

These can be much much bigger you need it one observer for this so a trip to the nether is in your future to get a piece of quartz to make that observer other than that you’ve got pistons at the back on the second level and when they

Middle cane here reaches the third level all of the Pistons will fire as a result of this tiny little circuit at the back little torch there it’s always a good habit to light up your redstone even if it’s only a tiny circuit like that sugarcane gets collected as it falls by

This mine cart with hopper into the barrel and you have got a really great source of sugar but more importantly paper so you can combine it with those levers that you got from the cow farm before to make the books for your enchanting setup our final farm is the

Wall farm we’ve got poor little naked sheep in a 1×1 square sat on top of grass when they eat the grass the block state of that grass changes to dirt and that means the observer they sat behind here will see that dirt change and as a

Result of the dirt changing it will tell the dispenser to dispense the shears now this is a functionality of 1:14 though she is then chop off the wall of the sheep and it is collected underneath very nicely by that minecart with hopper it is a way to really stack up lots and

Lots of wool over time you can see we’ve got four different kind of sheep here and they are slowly collecting our powerwall again not a super speedy farm on its own but get a few sheep in there only one in each pod that’s all you need

You can see there that one got shown very very quickly and you can have as many wall blocks as you can possibly do with after a short space of time so there are my eight starter farms starting with some really really simple ones and as you develop using the stuff
