BarrenDome – 2b2t – Super Mario Bros Map Art

Hey Roberta Baron dome here and today I want to show off my Super Mario Brothers maps that I’ve been creating on to be 2t and right now you’re gonna notice that yes I am on a single-player world mainly because in order for me to show this off

To you I have to do it on a single-player world but all these maps that you’re looking at directly behind me with the whole Super Mario Brothers theme from the the Nintendo Entertainment System is recreated on to b2t right now so all these maps are available but the reason I want to show

This off to you is because the ultimate plan that I have for these maps can only really be appreciated in a 1.13 world while to be two T is a 1.12 world the reason I say that you know what I’m gonna save that until we actually show

It to you but let me kind of show you these maps so right now what you’re looking at is 28 maps yes 20 maps so I’m a twenty two of them and then Harry from the to b2t map artist discord he was nice stuff to help me out and he made

The the two for the Koopa and the four for the pipe so he was really nice of that so every single one of these is an actual map art and I can show you that right here so I’ll just take this one this is a piece of map so you can see

That these aren’t resource packs it’s not you know it’s not changing what block these are maps so I can see this is half of the grass one so let me kind of show you so it my world is laggy it’s very laggy right now people you’ll understand why when you see the whole

Mess holy crap that was insane so as you can see these are the maps they’re actually these are the maps that are there here so I recreated all the maps in a single-player world just so I could show you off the potential for what I want to

Do so with all these maps what can you do with them well on a normal minecraft world of 1.12 you put your maps on on the wall like this pretty simple right however in a 1.13 world you can now place item frames on the floor

And you can also place them I know my world is very laggy right now you’ll see in a second why and you can also place them on the ceiling like this so you can start doing 3d effects in a sense with map art now what does that mean they I

Mean really where did I get this idea from I actually I don’t even remember I got the idea that from I think it started with the question mark block I was thinking that I was just gonna create the crushing mark block and just to have it put some a part around it and

Just kind of show it off you know and I was like well you know what I could create the the bricks because the bricks kind of go with it and I’d shown this picture off in I think I posted on the two BTT reddit you know that I was

Creating the series of map parts and I kind of just went from there I finished the bricks and I did the the light blue background because when you start getting into like when you do the goombas you have to have another color around it you can’t make it transparent

So I I was gonna leave it like a dark blue but it didn’t quite match the sky right here so in order to really blend it all together I actually had to make a whole map art that’s just blue and once again you’ll see that’s when we get to it

Now but you know what you know what this video really needs it needs some background music so let me put on some good background music that goes perfectly with this there we go alright so let’s get to this let’s rotate it around so what can we do with this no in

A 1.13 world we can recreate entire levels of Super Mario Brothers so let’s kind of go over here now I’m gonna take a massive frame it I would kind of show you this look at the top left right now I have a pretty good computer you know I

Don’t know if you saw a quick second it was like 600 frames per second right now I’m averaging 380 yeah we’ll say 380 that’s pretty good oh-oh we’re starting to take a hit because I’m looking in different directions buddy let’s go over here I’m going to

Show you what I mean by recreating an entire level and Super Mario Brothers so what I did is I put item frames on the ground I put the bricks on the ground so it’s like you’re walking on them there’s the hills like I said there’s the sky I got

Some clouds we have question mark blocks we get goombahs I know their heads are just the blue sky but it’s what I had cuz I don’t have it all but like look at this you can look underneath it you can see the question marks I even redid the the pipes like this

Look at this you can actually almost do it like a circular pipe I forgot you know someone told me to put in a jump boost so I could actually jump up these with a beaker but yeah I recreated the entire level pretty much the exact same

I’m in the clouds I had some clouds more than the normal sections but the the pipes and the placement of the goombas the hills like look at this you can see all the way down there let’s look at my my frames for a second look at my frames

Per second this is atrocious namely because there are three thousand entities give or take some in this area that I’m looking at right now so my my computer is just dying probably at this part oh yeah let’s we can continue and this is the part with the uh is the hole

Right there you got to jump over let’s if I can make the jump unfortunately there’s no and flower no mushroom in this one but the goombas are up there What hey we made that one nice time I’m actually flying oh yeah you credit the groom is here as the Koopa so you can see why he needed to be too tall because his head’s a little bit bigger there’s all the question mark blocks the hills now I know the cut out

The bushes to be more representation of the game the the hills are the the bushes definitely should have been bigger they should have been more of a a two by three and set up a one by two but I just you know I was just getting drained from building all these maps and

These are really recreated in survival mode on to be to tea right now every single one these maps and this is the ultimate plan for what I want to do when qvt eventually rolls over to 1.13 I’m gonna recreate this on to beat UT I’ve fortunately I think that once I

Recreated house is probably going to world edit it out probably because this is gonna call us so much entity lag on the server just with this mini maps you know three thousand all together in this one little area yeah I mean you can even do things where I mean right now there’s

Just iron blocks in there but if you did something with like click glass panes it actually will make a hole even if it’s a two by two it will make a whole small enough where your character could actually fall into it and go into one of

The sub levels here we go look towards the flag and there’s the flag right there I don’t know if I can make this nope steve is a horrible jumper but the one thing I didn’t create was murmur the castle I know I know I screwed everything up that was one thing I

Didn’t create oh yeah this is all Matt Bart is not a resource pack and this is takes a heavy toll on a computer so from here all the way down to the end is three around 2800 item frames and 2,800 map parts give or take a side but yeah I am

Looking forward to maybe when if it’s either one point thirteen or one 1.14 whichever comes first or for to be GT but I can actually recreate this because right now all you could just do is put on the wall and that might be cool to do

To you know put it up on a wall just for show which I think I will probably end up doing anyway it would definitely be a lot less item frames just to do it on a wall but yeah look at this this is just so cool and what’s cool about the the

Big pills is the it’s three pieces plays at one two three four it’s four pieces and the st. pieces can be used for the smaller hills so I’ve got this part with just the angle which is the same piece is this one here so I don’t have to make

One map art for that and this green piece and then there’s this hill piece so the part with the three green circle are two circles is here here and here there’s a solid piece of green here and I know I shall probably made this a bit

More of a hump but it’s I thought about that after the fact that I made it but yeah this is my level one of super mario brothers from the Nintendo Entertainment Center recreated in Minecraft 1.13 using nothing but map art very laggy for your computer you don’t know how long it took

Me I think I did the 22 map arts 17 days I was just cranking them out just non-stop I think I was averaging about an hour per map so with that I’m gonna go ahead and actually leave this world download in the video description so if you want to

Download it you can actually see all the different maps and they’re all recreated on this world they’re all all around in that whole open area they’re all around here all the maps so you could actually take a look at them if you want to create a schematic yourself of each of

These maps go ahead man make them yourself I got a Goomba get the Koopa the flag is here too I think the question mark when is the best one just uh you can just recreate them and just have them in your world like covering up chests I think that’d
