So the last minecraft house tutorial I made is doing really well at the moment which I can’t thank you all enough for because of this I thought it was time to present another design I’ve been brewing up over the past few months I personally haven’t put as much use into this build As I have the previous house however it’s a fairly simple build and once again easy to expand upon I’ll save the YouTube housekeeping business for later so let’s just get right into it after a stroll through the comments section and a little time on my own accord to Reflect on the previous build I’ve realized some solid pros and cons regarding it you all seem to like the styling and one comment I received even describe the build as simple enough to remember how to build which was exactly my goal however I felt there were a couple major drawbacks these mainly Include the smooth stone roof which requires way too much time spent smelting to be a safe bet for a first night starter house as well as its size I understand the idea is to be compact however there’s not really a lot of room to add additional items indoors also to Answer one comment I’m using cylinders vibrant shaders with that being said in the interest of using simpler resources being more spacious yet maintaining simplicity allow me to proudly introduce you to my new and improved starter house design the first thing you might notice is the multiple wood colors and yes this Might add an extra layer of tedious resource gathering however I think it’s a nice look and it’s certainly a worthwhile trade-off for waiting for smooth stone to cook you might also notice the lack of log blocks used in this build as opposed to the pillars included in the last build this allows For a more efficient use of resources of course as far as resource gathering goes the ingredients are mostly pretty standard three worth of the bed and six and for glass 35 cobblestone for the floors might be a bit steep however as long as 8 of those are actually Cobblestone feel free to use anything else for the other 27 floor blocks as long as you have 8 cobblestone for the furnace you’re good to go if you’d like to achieve the multicolored aesthetic of the example house you’ll need 10 logs of one type and 12 of another here I’ve Gathered the complete pallet of combinations so you can pick your preference if you have access to multiple options the full resolution of this chart can be found linked in the description below so feel free to refer to it as you please one more detail I’d like to mention when it comes to Resource gathering much like any other house this build involves torches and the smelting of glass so you’re gonna need coal in the last house tutorial my method for gathering call was just by including the extra wood and you’re starting total to convert it into charcoal this however is Very inefficient in the efforts of saving time if you can find the coal while gathering stone gather as much as you please however if you wish to go the charcoal route and know that it takes five logs to create three charcoal the time it takes to smelt versus the time it takes For logs to burn out is exactly a quite convenient 3:2 ratio so it’s a nice rule of thumb to consider when coal is out of reach with that being said the last thing you’re gonna need for this house is three cold whether you gather this with five logs or mining it from the Ground is up to you with all of that out of the way let’s get building after you’ve located or built a nice flat area to work with dig a hole that’s one block deep five blocks wide and six blocks long after you’re done digging use your 27th floor Blocks to fill in the floor leaving out a space in what will become the back of the house and the right side of the house as shown here next convert all of your logs to the corresponding types of plank start by using the wood type you Have less of to fill in the two block gap in the floor and build these four pillars on the sides use that same wood type to make a crafting table and from it a door place the door here facing outward when you do so use twelve of the Planks to make eight stairs and with them connect the tops of the pillars on the side walls and the bottoms of the left side pillars only finally use three of the remaining planks to craft a bed switching to your other would type make two chests and place them here Craft your furnace as well placing it in between the crafting table and the chest now to be a good time to store the remainder of your first wood type continuing on with the second wood type film the last gap in the floor and construct for more pillars adjacent to The corners on the front and back wall use six of the planks to get some stairs and place one above the door upside down and facing outward convert nine of those planks into slabs and use them to cover the route and with that the basic framework of this house is complete our House still needs windows of course use one of your three coal to smelt the six and and use the six sand to make some glass panes like I said in the last video sixteen glass panes might be more than enough however it’s nice to have extra when you’re dealing with something as fragile As glass filling the rest of the walls is shown here finally let’s light this place up you should have four planks left use those to make some sticks and use those and your last two pieces of coal to create eight torches place one of them inside above the door and four On the outside walls facing to the left and right and with that the house is complete this house might be a little tricky to memorize fully however I personally feel that the extra room makes up for it also considering that those pesky smooth stone slabs have been Taken out of the equation like I mentioned before my usage of the house and survival isn’t as much as my usage of the previous house so please let me know what you guys think should you use it for yourself feel free to send me suggestions for future content as well If this video does anywhere near as well as the previous one I wouldn’t mind shifting gears towards a little more minecraft based content if you all are up for it in the next
