BTDubs – Minecraft Create Mod – How to Automate Polished Rose Quartz

Hi i’m bt dubs i’ll be showing you how to automate polished rose quartz in the create mod so the first issue with automating polystores quartz is that it doesn’t work like a normal press so for example press would have uh your iron ingots or whatever ingredients coming down it would stop them

Press them and move them along with rose quartz it actually has no effect with the deployer and will just keep on going without getting polished so my next idea was to use a depot which if i do this here as you can see just switches the inventory and

Breaks the deployer because it doesn’t have any output it also doesn’t send the rose quartz which is the whole point so the only way that i found that you can automate rose quartz is to actually drop a uh an item on the ground and have the deployer interact with it

So that will actually polish those cords for you and uh it’s just really inconvenient um because it doesn’t utilize the um conveyor belts and the depot that come with the crate mod so i’ve been working to find a solution which is right over there and uh let’s hop to that

So here’s the contraption that i came up with you’ve got the rose quartz coming in from here the deployer with the sandpaper the system which i’ll explain and the output so basically the way this works i’ll turn it on you’ve got your input of rose quartz

It goes onto this hopper which is um full of polished rose quartz so it won’t allow the raw rose quartz to go in then the deployer will use the sandpaper in this chest to sand down the rose quartz into the polished rose quartz this will then go into this hopper and

As you can see once it gets to six items it will go down to two and put them out of the output so let’s wait for that and there it is so the way that this works is i have a stockpile switch here which um it’s basically a comparator um

Which will you it’s a adjustable comparator so i have it at three percent that’s what i found is the best because it keeps all the slots full and keeps the minimum amount in here so what this little uh setup here is is basically just a sorter

Um but using the create mod items to make it really compact so when the the inventory is over three percent full it will turn off the redstone unlocking the hopper and dropping some of the items in so once that happens these items go down down again and into the output chest now

This other chest here let’s say that you aren’t using any output so let me grab some of the rose quartz let’s say that the output is done maybe all the items are crafted that you need and it backs up let’s get some more let’s say it backs up all the way up here

And this too basically what will happen is all this excess rose quartz will go into the excess chest as you can see it just started going now and basically what this does is it will just store excess rose quartz that isn’t being used in any um automation so

You can take from this chest do whatever you need with it but it also has another functionality which is this thing right here so this stockpile switch i have set to 50 percent so it will be on as long as this chest is not 50 full which will keep the contraption going here

With this clutch but if the polystores quartz goes above 50 you see it turns it off stops the contraption and this is completely configurable if you want to have a stockpile uh the the chest be almost full you can you can crank this up to

Uh 90 as you can see it keeps going um that’s completely up to you and let’s say that you do have it at a lower percent and it’s not going and let’s say that all you allow this output to uh start up again let me grab this cactus

So let’s say you allow that output to start up again so as it um goes out you’ll see that it actually takes from the excess chest without um actually making more um so this is just a little overflow buffer um you can also pull it off to whatever you

Need but that’s basically the contraption here i would suggest also automating the sandpaper as you can see it’s already run out this chest was full the sandpaper can only do eight rose quartz so that’s a big limitation of this contraption but it’s easy enough to automate both sand and paper
