BUNDLE UPDATE?! Trail Ruins, Smithing Tables, & More! – Minecraft 1.20 Snapshot 23w18a

Well friends terrible news it looks like today’s snapshot has been blowed up before it even started what does that mean nobody knows anyways my friends you know what day of the week it is it’s snapshot day again let’s do this we kick things off by talking about the future

It sure looks like Minecraft 1.20 is just about almost here it will not surprise me if this update drops at the end of this month or the very beginning of the next month unlike for the other four previous official 1.20 snapshots we don’t have a change log today at least

We don’t have a change log on the official website right now this seems to be broken but the changelog that we do have over on Reddit oh it’s tiny this is particularly interesting because if you’ve been in the community for a while now like pre 1.20 then you would know

That usually the final snapshots well the change logs get smaller with new features but get longer with bug fixes and we kind of don’t even really have that today instead of today lives we’re looking at some sound changes a note block change a workstation block change an advancement

Bug fixes is ancient this bug very well might have been in the game since before I was even playing the game or right when I began whether or not player experiences some effect is calculated based on the Block under the center of the player it doesn’t make perfect sense

What in the world is this the creative inventory updates from Minecraft 1.9.4 they continue today because take a look at the Red Zone tap yes my friends that’s right this one is Big it’s massive we got a brand new Block in the Redstone tab the Jukebox chill now since last week’s snapshot I

Did put a little bit more thought into what’s going on with the Redstone signal and the music discs up before last week’s snapshot the most recent disc to be added to the game was five if you put five into a jukebox with a comparator that gives you a signal strength of 15.

Added in the update before the five music disc we had other side if you put other side of the Jukebox that gives 14. as you may remember the newest music disc this one it gives a signal strength to 14. it’s overlapping because of how Redstone and Signal strengths work we

Only have a signal strength between 0 and 15. I think what the devser may be doing with the new music discs is working their way backwards it’s the only time we’ll be able to tell for sure but if the next music disc that’s added in the next update is 13 then my theory

Is proven right and you were heard it here first a year early basically this is 14 then this is 15 and now we’re going backwards that’ll be 14 the next one will be 13. I guess we’ll have to wait and see I just wanted to throw that

Comparator and a book in hand place that bookshelf down to put a comparator going out of it right behind okay I guess you don’t even need the book that’s all you have to do I don’t know if it’s possible but I feel like this one should definitely be triggered as

Soon as you put the book inside of this thing though I don’t know Cub fan another fans of the Fletching table Rejoice because your day is finally here the workstation with no function I’m just kidding they updated the smithing table again inside of the smithing table now you do not need to

Put a trim thing in first to actually be able to put things inside of it if I wanted to I can throw the sword right there and just leave it there until I back out previously it was not possible to cue anything up into this thing until you put either this upgrade template

There or a trim thing right there it’s such a small change but honestly I love it this was something that really annoyed me before just yesterday I was working on a really cool 1.20 video you’ll see soon and I was messing with this stuff and yeah it kind of kept

Throwing me off right uh look I know it’s not the biggest thing in the world but I feel like this definitely makes sense it’s nice look the 1.20 update is an absolutely beautiful update this is definitely the best singular update since the nether update and honestly it might even come

Close to that update in terms of greatness however I do think that this update also reinforces this game’s inventory problems especially if you’re doing sharding or archeology I was surprised to see that in this week’s snapshot we actually have a bundle bug fix very strange seeing one of the

Shards that I made last week I took a look at the bundle and talked a little bit about it when I was showing the bundle off it was clearly bumped into this week’s snapshot the bundle is no longer buffed as you begin to load things into it the UI for the bundle

Comes back so all of this archeology that I’ve been doing all these random items that were clogging my inventory in the bundle if they look like this how they always have when the snapshot drops one of the first things that I did is slid over to the creative world screen

And took a look at experiments and unfortunately the bundle is still an experiment so technically not part of 1.20 however I really do feel like the bundle is kind of needed for 1.20 hopefully the dev spent a little bit of time this summer when they’re developing 1.20.1 or whatever to actually maybe

Like finish up the bundle and put it in the game next up look I don’t know if you tried any of this archeology and stuff for yourself yet but I have and I have a common problem the sauce gravel really really Blends in sauce into but especially the gravel block is so busy

Already I wanted to highlight that post from the subreddit today because even though I do think it is maybe a little bit cheating and defeats the point this stuff Blends in so much even the sand but definitely the gravel one if you want to fix that I I never even

Considered it but resource pack unfortunately it doesn’t look like this one dropped fully to the public way yet but that’s a great idea and so finally that brings us to basically the vital things in this week’s snapshot a couple more bug fixes at least one of the bug
