ChimneySwift11 – Minecraft Ruins Mod – GENERATED STRUCTURES, TRAPS, & MORE! (HD)

Hey what’s going on swifters issue severe back again with another mod review and this mod is called the ruins mod and this mod comes from a guy named atomic striker and I’ve actually reviewed one of his mods before a while back he reviewed a mod that he made

Called the robes plus mod and I’m also currently using a mod that he created called the dynamic lights mod which I’m actually using in the super spellbound cave series which is the handheld torch mod that that’s being used in there as well so anyways today we’re gonna be

Taking a look at the ruins mod and what this does is this adds some different structures to Minecraft there are all I think as far as I know they’re biomes specific so the first we’re gonna look at is this tree house here and this is only formed in jungles now some of them

Some of the actual ruins themselves are gonna be a lot more elaborate than others this one is fairly basic in that is just a a stair-step here with some some platforms and then a means of getting up and down this structure via some vines and that is pretty much all

That this is here the the tree house so if we fly out this way and off to the right slightly there is a pyramid here in the desert and these pyramids contain some traps and there is a maze inside I have honestly haven’t really looked into

This mod all that much and I didn’t really want to mess around with it either because I wanted to sort of show you guys on the camera here just what what it entails I wanted to go through it with you guys so inside here there’s

A maze and I don’t even know what’s at the end of it I don’t even know how to get to the end of it but let’s see if we can figure this out so there’s a trap here this goes down to love and I don’t believe that that lava drops anywhere I

Think it’s just death so let’s head into another direction let’s go through here and see if we can figure this out so there’s a torch and what’s over here looks like up just a lighting error alright and see if we can get to the end

Of this thing I want to find out what is it alright so there’s another exit looks like this thing is pretty crazy there’s probably some sort of a chest or something at the end mmm what’s down here hold on oh here we go yep so if you go

I guess there was one point of entry here where you can actually get inside of it so we approached it from this side and I’m approaching it from this side now and actually if you go through here and straight down there is a room down here which okay this goes to the outside

As well so you can probably get to this room from another entry so it’s basically if you go in the wrong and entrance point then then you’re gonna get the bad stuff you go on the right one and you’re gonna get the good stuff so what is in here let’s see here

There’s a trap there oh crap so if you destroy that block via the the pyramid will collapse on itself which is kind of Awesome and you will be surrounded either you’ll be stuck either inside or you will you won’t be able to get out because they’ll be lava all

Inside so let me actually go see what’s in these chests and see if this is actually worth it to to actually open this this chest and it appears that this door will open as well and there’s a lot of mobs inside okay that’s kind of a cool like little freaking thing on the

Wall I don’t know this is some sort of a pattern pretty cool though alright so what is in here let’s see on a half whole whole books I’m stirring some bread and some iron tools and over here is leather pants a bucket egg coal seeds

So only one of these has the trap I believe unless they closed up I’m not sure this one did release water I’m sure what happened to it is there water over here nope just lava okay well anyways there’s some traps included in these in these pyramids so be on the lookout for

Those and there are also other little ruins that are scattered about just kind of like these little broken houses that really I don’t even think there’s anything in them doesn’t appear visually anything underneath them either I think they’re just sort of ruins that are just kind of there to make the landscape look

A little bit better so let’s get out of here there was another one that was over here that was kind of similar to that as well as another one right here and I don’t I don’t believe that these contain anything in particular I think they’re just sort of there for

Decoration so flying over here now sort of in perspective the pyramid was there the treehouse is in there and there’s another little ruin right here that it’s pretty much as useless as those guys however once we come out to the ocean out here we can start to see

Some things that are pretty awesome some hot-air balloons a pirate ship a castle and a lighthouse so I want to take a look at the lighthouse lighthouse first the lighthouse is made of sandstone and clay which is kind of cool now down here I don’t think that there’s I don’t seem

To see anything all right so that is another trap itself Wow I think I may have just ruined that one so if you break the center point to to the well here all of the sand is gonna fall down its gonna break all the ladders and all

The sand will fall down what is underneath here though that’s what I wanted to know if there’s anything of value underneath here I don’t believe that there is it I think it just probably ruins your way of getting to the top I’m not sure if I ruined

Something there or if that was just decoration but I will leave that to you guys to figure out figure out on your own so the next thing that we have is these hot-air balloons and I want to see if we can actually go up inside of them

Yes we can all right cool so inside here is just a lot of color and really nothing else cool what about this guy I wonder if any of these contain anything inside of them maybe a value or if they’re just kind of there for decoration let’s see here I don’t see

Anything other than colors all right the primary colors plus way all right so let’s check out this pirate ship so over here we’ve got a pirate ship and apart from making this probably into an awesome home let’s check out and see what there’s if there’s anything else inside so I see some chess

Underneath let’s see if we can get to those out right here down go down into the poop decks here of the ship Oh yikes all right so there’s a zombie spawner up here let’s get rid of that so we’re not like bother the entire time and we’ve got some chests with some food

Some flint and steel see what’s in this one some other stuff and some string and both okay if we cut this away there’s gonna be water and the water is gonna do what let’s see there’s a parent in there I suppose it’s probably just gonna make

It a lot harder for us to skeleton spawner – yikes I suppose it’s just gonna make it a lot harder for us to actually escape out of this area which is kind of a pain especially when there’s when there’s all this stuff spawning around you so be wary of that

Let me sleep real quick here so we can get rid of this bit of the night time all right and then we will go check out the castle which is behind us and see what that is all about so let’s head over here and the only way to get into

This guy is through the waterfall right here so you gotta kind of swim up it and once you get up the waterfall you go through the main entrance and you’ve got a nice little farm here a skeleton you got coming out the gold throne here as

Well over here we have I think this is just a lot of mobs that’s okay so there are spawners in here as well I was thinking that maybe it was due to the fact that it was just nighttime but there are some spawners in here and let’s see it’s probably another one in

This room I would imagine yep there’s one more right there sorry dude none of your friends are gonna join us here and zombie ones down here and see no but there’s probably a lot of traps Ranger so there’s gravel right there I think all these places are gonna probably have

Some traps in them let me see if we can get rid of the zooming rid of the zombies one earlier it’s investigating so just hanging out back here or what I don’t understand all right let’s see I don’t see that other zombies pointer I guess it’s over here on this side

Probably down this hallway yep there we go all right so that one is destroyed none of you guys will spawn in here anymore all right so before we activate any traps or break anything let’s just take an overall look at this place and see what see what’s in here so we’ve got a

Few towers here a main central tower right here which let me see if we can figure out how to get up this these are all part of a trap so we get up it through right here this is the second floor and this is the main staircase

Right here so that’s how you get up this trap excuse me creeper okay let me go up here and let’s see this is sort of what’s all holding this place together I would imagine let’s see if we can figure out how to activate this because I want to see how

We can sort of trigger this trap and get this whole place to come crumbling down to the ground my first my first guess would be that maybe we destroy like the throne I could do something and there you go yep there you go oh my gosh all right so destroying the throne

Definitely will mess you up and that’s going to make a really large pit in the in the center of this room and actually just drop the whole floor out now right here we’ve got some more spawner so I could hear those guys down below although there is a diamond block lady

We’re just kind of cool let’s destroy that and that’s gonna activate yet another trap we’re just going to enclose the sit in water and holy crap you will drown to death no joke unless you have a respiration or aqua affinity helmet to mine your way or survive out of that somehow you’re gonna

Die and let’s see here so that is that is death right there and I would imagine there’s probably another trap let’s see here so let’s go up up one more imagine that there’s probably another trap around here somewhere that has to do with these guys let’s just destroy that

And see what happens I don’t really know hmm it’s thinking maybe it was gonna crumble the entire that trap that trapped us in here I think that would probably trap us in if you’re interested in just grabbing the glowstone you’re gonna get completely trapped in this castle so a

Lot of traps here a lot of traps and as far as I know those are the only ones that are included in that one so let’s head over to the next thing and the nice thing these kind these guys are kind of I guess there are tree houses as well

But there there are some traps with these also so they’re the frequency of these seems to be a bit higher and they’re spawned in the the swamp biomes you can see one there there’s another one off there in the distance you just can’t see because of the fog so to get

Into these guys you’re gonna come down here and there’s a little door right here now this trap is pretty obvious because you can see here there’s some gravel so when this happens all these ladders are gonna fall and then I would assume the lava right here is gonna burn

Just everything down to the ground that being said let me go up here and check around and see if there’s any anything else that that is sort of a value that may be in this tree we’ve got some mushrooms right here I don’t know what’s up here doesn’t look like there’s

Anything here what about the top I think it’s just probably more of like a fort than anything so let’s go down here and activate the trap and see what happens and I think as suspected destroy this I want to suits in the chest so it’s really not for this

Example it’s not worth it obviously slowly this will burn the entire place down and what you probably won’t be able to go up there anymore so that being said now that there’s there’s really no good loot in that one I want to see what’s in this one and see

If there’s actually anything in these that are legitimately worth trying to destroy these these chests for so let’s take this guy away some iron tools I mean you honestly you got enough time to get it and run but it’s if you want to keep these structures then then I don’t

Know if it’s actually worth it or not but um see what this guy’s got to offer so yeah it doesn’t seem like anything all too special unless you just want a bunch of ladders so there you go that is the sort of a swamp fortress treehouse

Thingy and the last thing that I’ve at least found so far in this in this mod is are these structures here and I’m not exactly sure what they are they look a little bit dilapidated but they have a sort of a spiral staircase going up around the outside so chest no that was

Just some some more logs I think to get up on these guys you have to go right here yes right here and you can go up on through the inside of these guys and I don’t see any traps so far I think these may just be just generic structures and
