Hey guys! Profe Pablo here. Spanish teacher turned Minecraft engineer. Today I’m here with my son Pablo. Say “hey” Pablo. Pablo: Hey guys!! and I’m going to be systematically exploring the nether to teach you how to find a nether fortress. I’m going to start at 0 32 0 and from there Go to the following coordinates that you will see on the screen. This is a theory of mine of how to explore the nether. I use it almost every time I do. So let’s get going. Before I go any further with this tutorial I need to point something out. Minecraft coordinates are extremely confusing. Traditionally in math we’re used to something that looks like this: where moving from left to right your x is positive and moving from down to up or south to north your vertical axis gets more positive. But in Minecraft things Are a little different. When you move from left to right, yes things get more positive. But if you move from down to up things actually get more negative. In other words going north is negative. Thanks Mojang! So when you see my graph in this video, it could be a little confusing Just know that the further north you’re going it actually makes your last coordinate more negative. Oh and by the way to make it even more confusing… locator maps in the nether reverse your coordinates. I’ll explain that in a different video. Okay here we go. 32. I’m at that level because this is the level that nether lakes spawn on and what I’m going to do is start digging, exploring, going straight one direction until I reach negative 250. Oh if you run into this, block it off. That’s what i usually do. I’ll block it Off close to the place. Break that. Block it. There we go. Okay as we can see here… nether lake. I’m…. I’m kind of going out here so I can see um but I do not see any fortresses out here. Nether rack… that’s a very high nether ceiling though. All right gonna keep digging. Ouch ouch ouch ouch. There we go! So I made it out to a lake. I’m still at negative 119 and now I’m gonna start building a bridge. It’s a lot easier than mining. I should have enough Netherrack from mining that I can do this and I’m crouching and placing like this which allows me to place and walk. You got to keep your ears open because if you hear any ghasts You gotta run and in fact if you have cobblestone that’s better to use on this because ghasts blow up netherrack. Every once in a while lift your head up look around see if you see anything and If you want to use the new spy glass. Alright so here we are and we found nothing. So that’s okay now we just go back and usually on my way back if I have enough netherrack or cobblestone is I will Build this like this uh so that I have a nice good highway for when I’m traveling next time. Okay I came back to zero zero. So I went 250 that way now I’m going to go the opposite direction Going up to 250. Okay. Here we are in another bastion biome and I’m going to keep going this way making a path. Okay. Made it to 250 and nothing this way so we go back to zero zero. Okay now we pick a direction and go 250 blocks this way. I told you… patience. The good thing is exploring this way you find lots of resources like I already found soul sand a couple of bastion biomes. It has a huge lava waterfall. Lava fall yeah right of course. It wouldn’t be a lava waterfall that makes no sense. All right There we go 250. I don’t see any fortresses. Going the next way. Here we go. Don’t worry be happy. Now see by exploring this way we’ve already found the warped forest which is really really good. Pablo: The problem with that is that there’s lots of endermen. Oh that’s the good thing About it. You get you get to make endermen farms. Okay so we’ve made it to 250 and we have found nothing in all four directions. So now what we’re going to do is basically we have a cross and we’re Going to link up the corners of that cross. So now I’m at the end here I’m at 250 this way. I’m going to pick a direction and go to 50. always checking my surroundings to see if I see any fortresses. Okay see we already found a piglin fortress right there just by exploring The nether systematically this way. So that could have good stuff including netherwart and I’m just curious, so I’m gonna go check it out just for fun. Usually it’s in the middle of this big room down here at the bottom. This piglin fortress is pretty advanced. It’s pretty awesome. Oh tons of Diamonds in there. We were right here heading to 250. Okay we found the crimson biome the warped forest the bastion. I do not see a fortress yet. I’m not discouraged they’re not easy to find. Okay guys now you’ll notice that I’m at 250 250 and 32 so now I’m going to head Back this way because I know that I will connect with my other path this way if i go this way and bring this first coordinate back to zero again. I made a cross and now I’m connecting the pieces of the cross. Okay and you’ll notice that we connected back to our old path That means we are on track and we still haven’t found a nether fortress. I’m not worried. Now we’re gonna head this way 250 kind of completing the outline of our square. Oh we’ve run into another piglin fortress right in the middle of it too. I can tell By the particles that we are in another warped forest as well. which is cool. Pretty close… yeah did you see the little green particle floating around? That means we are in a warped forest or underneath one. All right here we go, making our path. obviously this Takes longer in survival. That’s okay. It’s part of the fun of the game. Nope. Not yet. Getting there. And now we’re at 250 again, so we’re kind of in the corner of our square now. We’re going to go back completing another edge going this way. Especially in these big areas you Should stop and kind of look around see if you see anything. I don’t see anything and we’ve connected back up again, but we haven’t found anything, so we need to keep exploring. So now we’re gonna go and head this way. All right. Here we go. Heading back down to negative 250 negative 250 And Nether Fortress. See?!?!? Right over here. Boom. Ran right into it. We didn’t even have to finish our square and we already found a nether fortress. We found two piglin farms, we found the warped forest, the crimson forest, all of those things. and it didn’t take too too long. I know we’re in creative but even in survival this wouldn’t have taken that long. This is a big nether fortress. So the idea is if we didn’t find this we would have just completed our square and then if that didn’t work, which I doubt it would have NOT worked… If that didn’t work Then you extend your square to 500 and then a thousand systematically exploring the nether. I hope you guys enjoyed this video tutorial and as always thanks for thanks for watching Video Information
