All right guys this is token of another minecraft video and today I want to talk about new more farming principles for the upcoming update 1.2 yeah let’s have a look up and see what I did here alright you can see we have decent spawn rates and very small trap let’s fly up It’s only about that size and it requires minimal resources so it’s a trap you can do right at the beginning when you start playing your game and you have an easy way to stock up on the basic resources you can get from mops you can also use it as a basic setup for An XP farm if you would drop the mops on a platform like that and encase them so let’s so they can survive and you can make them one shot killed later on all depends on drop height so this is a really simple trap and now what is Special about it we’ve seen traps like that before well the new idea and that is really really a different ballgame now guys you can make a trap like that okay I worked in creative so it was real quick ten minutes ten minutes and you have a really high efficient spawning system no Caving needed no nothing and why is that so well here is the secret the new building height and update 1.2 right now guys I’m using let’s get the stats on the new snapshot 12w o7a it says but I think it’s B but yeah then the latest snapshot With the new building height where it can go up to building height of 256 logs and at the moment I’m at building height 200 we go up twenty-four blocks and then we have to floor of our simple trap here the mops drop down 24 blocks and dust die it’s a Too high trap so only skeletons zombies and creepers can spawn I can collect the loot here well and why is it working and what did I do and what is special as I said before building height 200 thus no caving needed at all we know that mobs To spawn in a radius of 144 blocks around the player so if we go if we start from here now we are let’s check on let’s check the y coordinate 223 that means below us there’s more than one hundred and forty four blocks you can check out this drop here really huge Drop more than 144 blocks until we reach the surface that basically means mobs can spawn over but inside of the trap we created here it’s basically our own void it’s like in the end nothing can spawn around us only inside here and thus you can create massive spawn rights rates Inside your trap I got some torches on top here 5 torches and the rest is cobblestoned let’s have a look inside so you can see the principle the principle behind the trap it is as simple as it gets you need nothing but a bit of water and some cobblestone so we got four Spawning pets those are let’s count the blocks one two three four five six seven eight all right so for spawning pets 8×8 blocks put your two source blocks behind you have the two high drop and you have to drop in the middle that’s it two high seating clearance mobs are carried to The middle dropped down and killed by drop damage that’s it and later on you know if you want to extend the system you’ve got a lot of room to go upstairs just build another floor here build three four floors you have enough spawning space to create a high efficient Spawning system without any big caving issues and trouble and nothing and for all the yeah hardcore players out there I know that there are bugs in 1.7 created maps so that there are no caves created the newly spawned areas but this is an old map and I converted it so we Got case below so no problem at all I tested it in yeah in a realistic environment just created a map then change to the new snapshot so I get the new building height and this is the result of it and I’m really pleased with it and now nothing is spawning because We got torches inside so let’s fire the baby up one more time and see how long it takes for mobs to spawn and how good it is but it’s really working nicely and as I said no caving done at all I just did a new map flew around a bit to Generate enough chunks then update it to the new snapshot and there we go so let’s have a look at the entity counter right now we’ve got nothing for okay it’s going up and starting in SS ed this is the smallest version but it will keep you going for start there we go Mobs start to drop we got nine in there thirteen so really nice spawn rates and if you extend that a little bit you can create a super highly efficient and trap without yeah no big problems and I’d say that’s it for today should be able to Set that up as I said it is as simple as it gets I hope you like this video that’s it for today I’m out Video Information

“Thanks for the 1) “New maps don’t have caves” and 2) “Underground lighting doesn’t work” bug reports! Not quick-fixing these, though =)”
Be careful and do backups when using the pre-releases!
There can be major bugs and unknown issues!
