DRAGON MOUNTS (Minecraft Mod Showcase) RIDE DRAGONS

Have you ever wanted to hatch the ender dragon egg and get your very own rideable ender dragon or maybe you’re looking for a different type of dragon altogether if this sounds pretty good then this is exactly the mod you are looking for Good day everyone and welcome back to another minecraft mod showcase and in this showcase we are going to be checking out the dragon mounts mod and this mod basically as you could have guessed adds mountable dragons so you can actually tame these dragons as your own

Pet and ride them around the world how sick is that so enough blathering let’s get into it and if you guys have any questions from our showcases in the future please do let me know alrighty so if we take a look over here we can see

We’ve got eight dragon eggs lined up and you can probably guess by the texture of some of them what they are so for example this one you know is the ender dragon egg we’ve all seen this one this one’s actually in vanilla minecraft itself and uh yeah but this is this does

A special thing now in this mod this mod introduces a brand new use for this egg so the way this works is you don’t really find these eggs naturally in the world or you find these dragons naturally in the world the only way to get these eggs is by getting this one

First off so you got to start with the ender dragon egg so first thing you got to do you got to kill the ender dragon and then the egg will be found in the end of course and then if you manage to get the egg by using a torch or whatever

Method you like to use like you know people use the the torch method where they basically place like a torch under a block here i’ll just show an example you place a torch like this or people use pistons and stuff like there’s a bunch of different ways

To get the dragon egg uh pretty much and but like this is one of the simple ways to do it basically you can do this the egg will fall on the torch and then you will be able to obtain the egg that way so onion is a torch through that one

It’s pretty straightforward and anyone can do that it’s very very easy to do and i’ll just put this back real quick um so that’s basically how you get the dragon egg in villa minecraft and with that dragon egg once you obtain yourself the end dragon egg you can then use this

To get any one of these and they all have very specific requirements that you have to meet in order to get that kind of egg when you once you place it down right so let’s get started over here with the ice dragon egg first so basically

The way to get the ice dragon egg is within a two block radius there has to be either snow or ice so i’m going to show a demonstration with both of these just to show that it works right so right so the way this works is it basically checks within a two block

Radius um for snow or ice so to do this we’ll place our dragon egg inside and if we right click and boom there we go as you can see it turned into an ice dragon egg so the same thing happens with the ice block over here if we right click this

And wait a few seconds it does take a few seconds for it to kick in so it doesn’t turn into that type of dragon egg straight away don’t stress too much uh it just takes a little while to get going so i think it might require a full layer

Or it might just be one block i’m not entirely sure but um we’ll find out pretty soon i guess okay so i gave it a little while and it turns out that you actually do need the full layer uh around each egg so i’m gonna put a full

Layer around this and see if it turns into it now it probably won’t because oh never mind it just worked oh i sound corrected um so you can actually right click it and then place the blocks around it afterwards as it turns out didn’t know that was the thing but there

You go you can use snow or ice basically and surround the egg in either that snow or ice and it’ll turn into an ice dragon egg pretty much and i meant to say once you right click them you can go into survival if you want um and you can actually

Click the egg and take it around with you again and you can place it back down and right click it later if you want for some other time if you’re if you’re not ready for your dragon hatch or whatever the situation is you can just take the

Egg up and carry it somewhere else with you and place it down and hatch it then instead so it’ll take 20 minutes to hatch so one minecraft day and um when it’s hot you’ll get yourself a hatchling so i can actually use a special command here it’s called slash dragon

State so if you have cheats enabled on your server or whatever um you can use this command in order to make a dragon hatch quicker or change the state of the the egg or the dragon that’s currently in front of you so we can change this to egg or we can

Change this to hatchling okay sorry i signed corrected they actually changed the command in this version of the mod this is actually a port of the older version of the mod by the way i’m going to say this this is dragon mounts legacy not the older version this is 4.16.5 so

They changed the command of this it’s now slash dragon mounts dragon set age and you can change the egg to adult hatchling or juvenile so we’re gonna change it to hatchling right now which is the first stage of the dragon this is the baby stage um so it doesn’t actually work on eggs

It turns out a bit unfortunate but um it is what it is but like you get the idea you get the gist of it so i’m gonna actually spawn in an adult version of the ice dragon here and uh we’re gonna turn this guy into a hatchling there we

Go so this is what it’ll look like when it first comes out of the egg as you can see pretty tiny it does have 60 hp though so it is still very tanky it’s got 30 hertz i don’t know why it’s a 61 that’s probably a bug or something i have no

Idea um but yeah this is what your ice dragon will look like when it first hatches now at the moment it is not tameable currently because it is not in its adult stage yet but you can use fish if you want to grow it up faster so you can right click the

Bunch like any other mob in minecraft if you look at a bunch it’ll grow up faster using fish or whatever um item it takes so for every dragon in this mod i’m going to say by the way it is fish fish or meat you can use i think you can use

Any kind of meat as well to make it grow up faster and to heal it once it takes damage you can also use meat um so you can use mud mutton you can use beef you can use pork uh any of those or chicken uh anything like that at all so we can

Use any of these i believe to oh so chicken actually heals it but salmon makes it grow up faster or fish makes it grow up faster i think mutton is the same it heals it as well yeah so any meat will heal it but fish makes it grow

Up and fish will tame it as well so that’s how that works right but i don’t feel like waiting for that so i’m actually just going to set this guy into a juvenile stage now and boom there we go we got a juvenile dragon looking great

And um again it is still not tameable i don’t believe at this stage we can try but i don’t think it’s tameable no as you can see it’s still growing up and so we’re gonna go to the final stage which is adults and boom there we have it he’s

Now an adult the lighting glitch don’t worry about that that’s just a shaders thing um so yeah now he’s an adult dragon and we can finally tame him so if we use our raw salmon here as you can see boom tamed straight away so he’s a

Really good boy uh we can grab our saddle and you can use a card on a stick too um they do on the mod page it does says they follow a card and stick but i don’t think you need it at all so you can put the saddle

On this guy and he looks fantastic with the saddle you’re looking looking great sir and you can right click to get on him and wherever your head goes it works the same as the horse pretty much except when you press your space bar you can then fly and it looks so majestic when

You fly on this dragon it looks fantastic and so there used to be like an uncompleted version of the mod where they were planning on adding uh fire breathing unfortunately they never did add it in the end uh but it’s still very very cool to be able to ride the dragons

Like look at this this is so sick and you can also use a bone uh to make your dragon oops to make your dragon sit or follow you if you shift and right click and you can tell it’s sitting or like staying in its own position uh by like

It’s positioned by the like the way it’s um it’s either going to be sitting down or standing up basically and this guy is currently sitting down which means he’s not going to follow us um but if we shift and right click it will then um follow us around and

Teleport when we leave uh its location and stuff as well so he should teleport right now if i there we go and so we’re gonna leave him here for a while and we’re gonna check out the other dragons and the next one we’re gonna check out

Is the fire dragon and to actually tame this one or to make it a fire dragon in the first place i should say uh we need to get our end dragon egg again we’re actually going to need the ground to be either on fire or a lava to be around it

So if you put lava like here this should work if not i will put the the egg down in this block but for now i’m going to try this one to see if it works first um i’m going to oops this one and so now this should turn into a fire

Dragon egg if it doesn’t i’ll just put it down there and then it should work probably or you can use fire so the alternate way of doing this is basically do this with netherrack and and put your dragon egg there and oh it also worked perfect that’s great and

I need to surround it with fire and then right click it and uh it’ll then turn into a fire dragon egg as well uh hopefully i think so anyway um just want to put this lava out actually first off and this is what your fire dragon egg will look like and

Yes this will work too great fantastic and so now these are both ready to be uh fire dragon eggs this one actually turned into a oh this one turned oh oh okay okay so that just changed right so that comes later um that’s what i’m not gonna show for a little while but

Basically um you can use netherrack to make another dragon egg as well um i forgot about that so when i took out the fire that was around the fire dragon egg and it replaced it with netherrack the netherrack then took over and it turned the fire dragon egg into another uh

Dragon knight which is ah it’s interesting it’s definitely interesting so anyway we’re going to spawn in the fire dragon and turn this guy into a hatchling so you can see what he looks like when he first hatches there we go we got a little hatchling fire dragon egg looking

Pretty fantastic and the perk with fire dragons is that they don’t take damage from fire at all so you can like put like fire here and you can push them into it and they just won’t be set on fire at all they’re just immune to fire totally immune to fire and i believe

Lava as well so let’s test this theory here i believe they’re yeah they’re totally mean to lava on fire um so yeah they’re very very useful especially if you’re in the nether these guys will be amazing at traversing the nether uh terrain and we’re going to turn him to a juvenile so

It looks like in juvenile stage and finally uh the adult stage looks a little something like this and we can tame it the same way as the ice dragon just using salmon uh or fish any kind of fish at all and he has his own special texture and they all actually have their

Own special texture for the saddle when you put it on this one looks amazing it’s like a gold uh goldy yellow that kind of matches his um his whole aesthetic going on there looks fantastic but we can of course ride this guy the same as the ice dragon and ride him

Around like so and it’s a shame that they don’t breathe fire because i think like each uh dragon breathing their own elemental uh fire would be really really cool uh but unfortunately that was never added to the mod so it is a shame but it

Is what it is so yeah anyway i’m gonna get this guy to stay for the time being so you’re gonna use our bone again and shift right click and now he is sitting perfect so we’re gonna move on to the next one now so the next one we’re

Checking out is the forest dragon so with this one we can turn it into a forest dragon egg simply by putting uh any kind of logs around it or also any kind of leaves around it like so i can place our dragon egg in here or in here

And uh this should now turn it into a forest dragon so it’ll be that nice kind of green texture over there um so we’ll give it a few seconds and boom there we go perfect okay so we got our two forest dragon eggs um and

Now we’re going to take a look at these guys so you can obviously um wait for them to hatch it takes as i said my one minecraft day and then once they do hatch you’ll have to wait three minecraft days uh after that so an hour

In real time in order to tame them when they’re full when they’re in their full adult stage basically so it does take a long time to actually get your full dragon that you can ride around and stuff uh but totally worth it because they can fly in everything they’re

Fantastic so yeah um anyway so let’s uh spawn in this guy right now so this is the forest dragon we’re going to turn him into a hatchling first so this is what he looks like when he first comes out of the egg it looks great looks magnificent nice green air moldy

Texture which is the perfect dragon for me and um we can turn him into a juvenile this looks like in his juvenile stage this is after two minecraft days and then finally we got the adult stage which looks like this and he looks fantastic and unfortunately their hp

Doesn’t like uh increase with age like i know in the ice and fire mod which also has dragons the the the age of the dragon determines how much health it has as well which is a really nice feature but i guess this this mod just doesn’t do that and that’s totally fine

Uh but it would be a nice feature to have the same as the the fire breathing thing would be a great feature to have as well so again we can tame this guy with our oh if the use of salmon or the fish first put the saddle on and the lighting

Is very glitchy i’m sorry that’s just the shaders i’m using i might even take them off in a while because it’s being a bit weird um but yeah he looks fantastic with the saddle on too and we can use the bone to make him sit as well um

So that’s the forest dragon and next we’re going to move on to the uh water dragon so for this guy whoops didn’t mean to do that um for this guy we are going to use water obviously because it is a water dragon dragon so it would make sense for it to hatch on

Water place our ender dragon egg here uh it’ll detect that there is blocks of water around in a two block radius and it will then turn it into this nice blue colored uh water dragon egg so autograph direct click oops i’m so stupid and there we have it perfect so we got a

Nice blue uh water dragon egg and we are now going to spawn in the water dragon and um it looks fantastic look at this nice blue purpley color this looks so good man this is one of the best textures i think um in the mod so we’re gonna turn into a hatchling

There he is um now the thing is i don’t want to turn the uh forest one into a hatchling again so i’m just gonna take him over here for a bit and i’m gonna make him why are you going back over here why oh my god they’re

Following each other around are you do you think that’s like your mom or something is that what’s happening here dude that’s not your mom that’s green this is this dragon is green bro this is not your mom okay so this is the hatchling stage we’re gonna go to the

Juvenile stage next this is something like this and then finally the adult stage and again we contain it using fish and put the saddle on and we can write it over here with the other ones and we’re just going to drop our boy down here so this is the water dragon

Looks fantastic um yeah looks looks looks great oh also it’s got like these little spikes on the end look oh these are fantastic i love these parts like the little um it looks like an ankylosaurus if any of you know what the dinosaur type is uh it looks a little

Bit like the ankylosaurus kind of spike series it’s very nice okay so i’m currently building my way up to um very very high up as you can see this is like this is this is this is quite high up this is higher than anything generates in this version of

Minecraft in fact i don’t think anything generates up as far as 117 elevation um but basically the next one we’re looking at is the aether dragon and for the eighth of dragon to hatch it has to be placed in an elevation of 170 or above in the overworld and then right clicked so

We’re going to place our dragon egg we’re going to right click and now it should in theory turn into a nice uh cyan yellowish colored aether uh dragon egg but it has to be above 170 so this is actually on uh what this is that this is 167 but um

I guess that works i guess i guess that works looks it looks fine to me it looks it looks fine to me as yeah that’s how you basically get the aether dragon and uh we’re gonna go back down and i’m gonna spawn this guy in so he looks something like this

Uh in his adult i’m gonna put my hatchling first though uh so yeah this guy has some really really cool patterns on his face he’s got like little um like blue strips and stuff it looks kind of like a tiger or something and he’s got a little bit of like a mustachy little

Thing going on there i guess um he’s got like a nice little uh kind of tail with the the pattern going down there with the spikes as well looks it looks very very cool and we’re going to go to archuv another stage next and his tongue is actually yellow it’s very cool he’s

Like the ender dragon but cyan and yellow instead of black and purple it’s very interesting and then finally the adult stage and we can of course tame them again with the fish and put the saddle on and it’s sadly i like this guy’s saddle a lot actually his like

Harness is really really cool it’s like white gold kind of harness it looks fantastic i’m not going off the shaders because they are causing lighting issues and there we have it the aether dragon so let’s take this guy over here with the other ones and we’re just gonna put you there bro

And fantastic okay so then the next one we’ve got is the ghost dragon oh i didn’t mean to say um the the benefit of the aether dragon is he will actually fly slightly faster than the other dragons so he’s a bit different uh just like this guy is the perk of being

Immune to fire this guy will fly slightly faster than the rest of them okay so the next one is totally different from the aether dragon is the complete opposite so this one has to be spawned at y equals minus 65 or lower and the area has to be completely dark also when

You’re hatching it so we’re going to get our dragon egg we’ll have to block this off too actually so hopefully you guys can see right now um i have my brightness at full so i hope you can see um actually i’m just getting myself night vision can’t they okay so we’re

Gonna place down our dragon egg in total darkness also below minus 64 below y equals 65 and when we right click this it should now turn into a um ghost dragon okay this one does not seem to be working i think they may have changed it actually um in the ported

Version of this mod so i’m gonna go even lower and see if that works okay i’ve been trying for like a good good while right now to get this working i’ve tried different elevations and stuff this does not seem to be working i have no idea why i’ve tried obsidian i’ve tried stone

I’ve tried bedrock under it none of them seem to be working at the moment so unfortunately i cannot uh get the um ghost dragon egg to transform from the underdragon egg but i will show you the mob still so this is what the under the ghost dragon sorry is

Supposed to look like um if i get to the surface here so yeah i don’t know why it’s not working uh literally no idea i tried very hard to get it working but it’s just not happening so we’re just going to leave it uh but basically this

Is what it’s supposed to look like this is the ghost dragon let’s get the hatchling stage so in the first question of the egg this looks like it’s got a nice little rib cage it’s actually like a transparent kind of dragon uh it is a skeleton i don’t know what’s called

Ghost it’s like a ghost skeleton i guess um because as you can see it has no like internal organs or anything like that it is in fact a dead dragon it is a skeleton of a dragon but it’s also a ghost cause his eyes are loading up and

Stuff it’s very cool and let’s go to the juvenile stage and that’s it in the juvenile stage and then finally the uh adult stage and it just walked through that okay um so yeah this is in the adult stage it looks fantastic it’s got like little um

Blue tips on its wings as well and everything it looks great actually um and you can properly see into its stomach which is a bit it’s a bit strange but you know each to their own am i right and finally we’re going to tame it again using the um fish and

We’ll put a saddle and this one saddle is actually black it looks fantastic it really suits the uh the color of this dragon the black really stands out for the saddle it’s really really nice to see that um and yeah we’re gonna bring them over to

The rest of them and i’m going to put them down and as you saw earlier when there was netherrack around uh this dragon egg or around that dragon over there um it turned into a nether dragon egg by accident so i actually was looking for a fire dragon egg that one

Over there but it actually turned into this one which is the nether dragon egg um so there we go this is another dragon egg and i’m gonna spawn in this guy right now for you to see and this is what he looks like um i’m gonna quickly put him in a hatchling so

As you can see he’s got a little netherrack textured wings which look really really cool and there’s like a lava like um how they describe it like emitting lava spikes from its back and it’s got a little lava texture under the tail and in his belly and like on his throat i

Guess where we would like breathe fire or lava it looks so so cool actually this might be my like favorite or second favorite texture uh from the mod i think it looks great so let’s go to the juvenile stage again looks great you can see that this in more detail the neck

Looks i think the next is the best part of it the neck and the tail look absolutely amazing and the wings as well this this whole texture looks great actually uh let’s go to adults and you can see it in even more detail now on the neck it looks so so cool

So so cool and uh let’s tame this guy with the fish and he’s tough to tame there we go and put a saddle on him and his saddle is actually a kind of like a black um or like sorry a brown and a red uh kind of texture

So it’s kind of very similar to like the default saddle but um yeah his whole texture looks so so sick i think this might be my favorite him or the the ghost one are very are really cool i think one of those two might be my favorite texture um

Of the whole mod and finally we’ve got the default ender dragon egg so this is what the egg looks like we’re all very familiar with it no need to show it off um i’m gonna spawn in the end there’s actually an end dragon spawn egg in this

Mod which is very cool because there is no spawn egg obviously for the ender dragon in regular minecraft you have to do summon uh ender uh dragon like so that’s the only way to spot it in vanilla minecraft and but the the dragon that you spawn using this

Command is going to be different from the one that you spawn using the egg in the mod because there’s a very different ai for this so this is the one you get when you spawn it in from the egg it’s a very different type of end dragon it’s

The same uh bass end dragon i guess but it behaves very differently this one won’t attack you off the bat for example um or like shoot fireballs like that this one is just tamed and it’s passive and you can actually um tame it using the fish like the rest of the dragons so

It’s very different kind of end dragon this is like um the the the friendly child of the and the angry ender dragon you could say so yeah anyway let’s see it in its uh hatchling stage so this is what it looks like when it first hatches you look fantastic sir um and we’re

Going to go to the juvenile stage there we go looking great still and then finally the adult stage which we’re all familiar with now obviously this still is a lot smaller i would say than the actual under the end actually dragon is a lot bigger than this i’m pretty sure

Um so we can do slash summon under dragon just to compare and yeah this one’s a lot bigger as you can tell like this is this is a lot bigger of a dragon than this so that’s that i’m going to kill it quickly because it’s going to be annoying otherwise

Um it would appear i can’t kill it very very interesting oh yes i forgot with the ender dragon you can’t kill it until the purchase um in this version and it doesn’t purge because there’s no thing for it to perch on in the overworld that does make sense

Uh there we go okay it’s gone that was getting annoying right so yeah anyway this is the uh final stage under dragon and we continue using the fish once again and put the um saddle on it and how cool does this look we are riding the ender dragon right now well a

Smaller version of the ender but it’s still really really sick i think about this you just killed the dragon you hatched its egg and you’re now riding its child into the the sunset it’s actually it’s kind of disturbing when you think about it but it’s still really

Really cool and there we have it that is our collection of dragon mounts uh excluding the ice dragon over there but yeah that’s all the dragon mounts in this mod it is so so cool i would highly recommend you go check it out and that
