Eccentric Emerald – EREBUS! – Minecraft Mod Showcase: GIANT INSECTS!

He doesn’t seem like much of a fun guy i’ll show myself that Welcome back everybody to another minecraft mod showcase and today we’re going to be checking out the erebus mod and if you haven’t heard of the airbus mod before it’s basically a whole dimension full of like bug and insight kind of creatures and and it’s really crazy and they’re all super overpowered and gigantic

And uh yeah we’re in for a great time so yeah let’s get into it so i actually use this mod in my model series too but i haven’t really gotten near it yet and i want to test out some stuff in this mod showcase as well

So that i’ll know what i’m doing once i get to that phase in the modded series too so yeah basically the airbus is all about big huge insects and um kind of bugs and spiders and scorpions and basically arthropods stuff like that so yeah let’s get into things anyway um

So the first thing you’ll need is this thing right here which is the offering altar and you’ll need the offering alter because you need to make this thing which is the staff of yeah i don’t know how to say that um but basically you have to make this stuff to

In to enter the dimension so to actually make the portal you need and it’ll be literally any block at all and um i think it has to be just two uh two up will do even like like this this will do perfectly i think um so literally any you can use

Any block apart from leaves uh to make the portal and then you have to put leaves inside it like this so you use the frame frame can be made out of anything except leaves and the inside has to be leaves any kind of leaves at all will do

So once you have this made you now need to make yourself this staff thing over here so to make this staff thing you’ll need to have an emerald a diamond and an obsidian and and once you have these three things you need to have this over here

So you need to make the offering alter first of course right so the offering alters made using three stone bricks a four smooth stone and one gold ingot and one obsidian like so and then you place on your offering alter and you get yourself your emerald your

Diamond and your obsidian you place your emerald your diamond and your obsidian into the all like this by right clicking on it with each item and as you can see they’re now swirling around and doing a really cool thing a bunch of particles coming off them and stuff

And this basically just means that they’re melting together to form a new object and uh you’ll see in a sec once we get it and any day now i need another so if you want to take the item off by the way you can shift and right click

And to take it off when it’s in the process and there we go they all melted together and we got ourselves and come on give me the item give me the item come on hello hello there we go well it took forever and we got ourselves the gay and

Gem and the game gen is used to craft this thing here which is the staff of gea and so you put this on the crafty tablet with three sticks uh four vines and one gold ingot and i’ll give you the staff so we’re gonna use the staff here and

We’re gonna use this thing here which is the gain keystone and to craft this it’s it’s five stone bricks one obsidian and two vines so we’re gonna grab this too so you’re going to place your um what does it get a gain keystone in front of your portal

Like so and you’re going to right click it with your staff of gea and that’ll open the portal so as i said you can use any amount of blocks and as long as it’s two by one so you can fit through it and it’s perfect but

You can use any block you want uh like so and you can make it as big or as small as you want as well and just fill it with any kind of leaves so you place your staff on the on the keystone and it’ll open up your portal so we’re gonna hop through

I actually went to the wrong portal whoops um okay so put me in the right one okay perfect so nice um so this is the uh airbus by the way this is the airbase it’s kind of all underground because that’s where you would find most insects of course um and kind of um

Arthropod life and stuff like that so and it kind of like you know little creepy crawlies that are probably in this mod and there are so many in the spot so i’m not going to show every single one because there are a ridiculous amount uh but i’ll still give you a fair idea

Of what we have so as you can see that’s a ski sky sky toads sky toads yeah it’s just kind of a spider i think so yeah it’s also the stuff for around the uh quicksand um so yeah that’s around uh every kind of a few few meters honestly um so yeah and

Then you got stuff like this which is you know colossal bamboo and it’s it’s crazy it’s really cool really cool looking um dimensions so these are the different dungeons i have lined up here and i didn’t want to just kind of you know go wandering around aimlessly so i

Prepared took me hours to find all these dungeons though because some of them are super rare and but yeah anyway so we’re gonna start off here with which one should we start with we’ll go with the wasp nest first i think because it’s right up there so

This is a wasp nest and of course there’s a wasp spawner in the middle and it spawns swaps when you enter it so it’s made out of the waspiness block and and it just looks like this from underneath and they spawn on the roofs of the airbus dimensions another one over

There actually as well so yeah that’s basically what that is the wasps themselves have them uh 25 hp i think yeah 25 and so yeah they’re very crazy and they also poison you of course when they attack you so just keep that in mind um so the spider dungeon the spider

Jumping spider tree um larva nests locust spawner fly spawner uh dragon yeah we’ll go to the fly spawner next i think that’s a pretty good one and so this is literally just a big pile of dung and if you don’t know what dung is it’s poop it’s literally poop

And and butterflies will just kind of swarm around this thing this is a spawner on top i believe so if you break this they won’t spawn anymore i think and and yeah it doesn’t it doesn’t look great so it spawns butterflies and regular flies and it’s really disgusting to keep it to

Be honest so it’s just kind of like a mini dungeon and this dimension or this uh biome by the way is the ulterior outback and over here we’re in the volcanic desert so there’s i think seven different biomes in this dimension so it’s kind of like its own uh other

Game at that point that it’s such a huge dimension it’s got so much in it so it’s really cool like that so let’s head on back and and now we’re going to go to the dragonfly lily pad and the dragonfly pad looks like this it’s literally just

A lily pad and it’s got a dragonfly spawner in the middle and my game is frozen and it’s not frozen anymore okay and these guys actually spawn in swamps so this is a swamp right here and over here we’re in the uh what’s it called a subterranean savannah

And so yeah bunch of cool biomes lots of stuff to explore are really really cool and um you got some more flies over there and stuff um i don’t know why the dragonflies aren’t spawning actually uh kind of want to show you what they look like let’s see if we can just find

One dragonfly um i don’t know which one is from this mod i think it’s this one maybe hopefully yeah this is from this mod and since the dragonflies they come in different colors and stuff too so they look really really cool um and yeah they look they look great i

Don’t know why they’re inspiring from this thing though but whatever let’s head on back um so that was the dragonfly we’ve got the fly spawner we’ll go to the locust spawner next and the locust spawners um spawn usually i think it’s one in deserts and then what the heck mosquitoes haven’t seen

These before i have not seen this before at all oh my god um so these guys will um give you poison i believe but uh the locust one from this one um i don’t think they can spawn because there’s too many mobs oh never mind uh this is what the locust looks like

These are what the locusts look like and i don’t know if they can fly or not i actually don’t know i don’t believe they can they have wings on their back but i don’t know if they can’t fly um but yeah as you can see they have like

Is that that’s 50 health right yeah that’s no sorry that’s 100 health they have a hundred health so be careful if you find these things i would just say to stay away and they’re probably not worth fighting at all to be honest they’re very crazy and very very crazy and

They’re huge look at the size and there’s so much damage as well so i would just say stay clear of locusts so they spawn in these subterranean and savannas as well just just stay clear of them not worth it um so yeah that was the locust and

Next we’re gonna go to the larva nests and here we’ve got the ant and lion trove guardian yeah so the antlion trove guardian looks like this he’s kind of just a big larva insect arthropod looking guy and he’s got it he’s guarding a chest with some really cool stuff here

Um so we got exoskeleton plate which is from him i think uh jade and stuff like that so this is what that mountain will look like it’s just kind of invisible and when you’re walking around until you fall through it on the sun because the sand is usually yep

It’s ghost sand and it’s yes it’s literally called ghost and you just it’s like you can you can kind of see the difference but like if you were just running around normally you wouldn’t be able to tell like the difference between this side let’s say you’re just running around

And you you weren’t paying attention or whatever you just go like whoops and bam you’re in this with him and and that’s basically how he gets you and he also has a hundred health but he does so much damage look which armory has too that means he’s extra defense and stuff

So super super strong mob but he’s guarding some good loot if you manage to kill him so yeah um so that’s the larva anyway and let’s see we got the locust fly dragonfly larvae spider laspness jumping spider tree and so let’s go to the jumping spider tree next okay

So these guys spawn in this basically big hollowed out tree here and they are these are pretty rare structures i think i couldn’t find too many of them but this is basically what they look like and let’s see if we get some more guys to spawn here

Uh come on come on jumping spiders okay i’ll see if i can spawn in some myself um so it looks like this they come in a few different colors and i think it’s just red green and blue as far as i can see yeah and of course as you can imagine

They jump super high but they don’t have as much health as the other mobs and they only have 25 same as wasps so they are a bit weaker but they jump really high and they’re pretty fast they can also climb walls of course like regular spiders too and they’ll spawn in

These big um these big hollowed out trees as well so yep so that’s the m spider tree and the next one we’re gonna go to the regular spider dungeon am i missing one i feel like i’m missing a dungeon harvardness yeah so i’m saving these two for the end because they’re

The boss uh structures so spider dungeon so these ones are very common they spawn everywhere underground i’ll show you in game of three actually as well uh again with three um There’s obviously one here one right there uh one right there one right there um one over there one over there basically anywhere you see cobwebs that’s where the dungeon is they’re very very common so yeah uh so let’s go into game mode one so as you can get these guys to spawn

There we go uh so there’s sky there’s psy toads but i think they’re just spiders as well maybe i’m way off they have eight legs that’s an arthropod so i think they are just spiders and i don’t know the difference but yep and they look ridiculous and they’re

Terrifying i hate spiders by the way in real life i hate spiders man i’m not really afraid of them per se i just really hate them uh just kind of crawling around and stuff oh disgusting um so anyway let’s go back here and that’s the last

Spider nest so now we’re going to go to the tarantula mother tree next and it’s not working why is it not working okay there we go um so my thing bugged out and i lost where this was so uh okay i know the coordinate now i’m

Gonna copy and paste that just so i remember um so i had to go back into my logs my minecraft logs and find where i left where i had the coordinates because they didn’t save when i quit out of the world for some reason but anyway

This is the other structure that i was talking about this is the tarantula brood mother uh tree and this actually has multiple levels so the transition blue mother is the boss or at least one of the bosses there’s three bosses in this that you can count really

Uh well two main ones and then there’s um there’s a kind of mini boss as well so let’s see if we get into the tree here for a sec so this is the ground floor this is where all the tarantulas are at the very bottom and they have little

Nests in the budget spawners and stuff and in the very middle so you’re supposed to go through the doors i obviously didn’t because i’m i’m an idiot um so you come into the doors and there’s a bunch of tarantulas here you’re supposed to get to the middle and

Use the vines to climb up and then again on the second floor there’s even more tarantulas and and then you see up to the third floor and the third floor is the tarantula brood mother and i don’t even know know how much help that is that is like i think

500 maybe probably 500 uh five it’s three is it 300 i think it’s three or four hundred yeah anyway it’s a lot of health and so you need to know so yeah she’s one of the bosses uh so i’m gonna give myself some strength here for a second strength two five five hundred

So does it even if why can’t i deal damage to her that’s weird arrows work on her so i guess there’s different phases there’s like you can only use in bow and arrow for this part i guess so if you could just get on top

I think you can just go on top you can go straight on top of this you can just build your way on top of the tree and then just literally bow spam her to death i think you can just do that so if you were to just fight her i would

Say just go on top of the tree and do this this seems much easier than what you know having to actually go through all the different layers and then find her up close because she spawns like little babies and stuff as well i don’t avoid those

So yeah um it is pretty slow to kill her but like still we’re getting there we’re getting there i’m actually just enchanting with power real quick power five boom oh there we go she turned to orange now so i guess i can attack her with melee now oh yeah

So once you get past that face i guess it goes to the orange face and you can attack them with melee and oh my god that’s terrifying what are you doing jesus is she good uh okay okay oh my god all right so there we go we defeated the boss anyway

We did it um and then we got the trenchlet boss trophy and this is just a chess play with um eight armor and three armor toughness and it looks it looks kind of cool we look like spider-man i guess um so yeah it’s one of the babies out there and and

Now we got the the trophy as well so i think it’s similar to the ender dragon trophy you can like pick it up properly i can try though let’s try going to invent zero all right let’s try that again so can you actually mind this oh you can you can’t mind this

So it’s not exactly like the end of dragon age and that’s good cool oh my god okay that was annoying all right so uh back we go and now we’re gonna move on to the final structure which is the antillean ant line sorry notice i keep saying antillion it’s antline the antlion overlord

Pyramid so you’ll spawn in here right and and basically you define the structure on the ground it’s pretty rare i think so you have to find underground like this and it looks something like this this is the main structure over here but there’s also a big huge maze that

You can go through as well and the reason there’s a maze here is because you have to when you get to the top of the pyramid you’ll see this and it’s basically four different colors and and what this means is you’ll have to go find each of the different umber

Golems as you see up here the umber golem uh idols umber golem idol guardian thingies and you have to go and get each all four of those and bring them back here and place them on top of the pyramid like so and then you can enter inside to where

The boss is and the boss spawns in once you put the things down so yeah we have to go find the boys the different golems so i’m going to i’m going to do in a spectator obviously so and yeah this is one of the golem guys

So we’re going to go into game mode one and then just boop boop boop so there’s basically four mini bosses in the temple um and then you have to use you to get through all four of them to take on the main boss and he drops uh did he drop the right one

Is that what i was supposed to get the mud scarab i think it was right let’s see here i think that’s what i had to get anyway if i mess that up i’m so screwed because there’s no other way to get the thing i don’t think

Fire round spider hi how are you doing wait is that an ant spiders though that said oh soldier i was like what um okay so to place this on here i think there we go we got the scarab right so we’ve got three more scarabs

And then we can enter the pyramid so now we’re gonna go find the green one i guess it’s that one over here probably yeah nice and let’s go over here and let’s take this guy out is it just me really have way more health than the brown one he does he has

So much more health okay this is doing about i’d say maybe 20 damage in a row roughly and there we go nice and we got ourselves the green scarab let’s go back to the middle obviously you’ll be doing this all legit when you’re actually taking on the

Pyramid if you if you feel like you want to play uh this mod and you will of course be doing a legit i’m not like me i’m a big cheater um no i wouldn’t do this in a survival world but just because this is a modular

Case and i want to kind of make things snappy for you guys um i’m obviously going to do this all a bit faster so yeah here we’ve got the yellow one let’s take him out see this guy has way more like way less help than the green one

Because we won’t have way more than this i think right surely uh let’s take him out boop boop boop boop boop boop boop boop and there we go nice got the yellow scarab let’s go back over here again and we’re going to place the yellow

Scarab on top i have to be in gameplay the gold scarab nice there we go and game of three and the last one should be over here i think right uh no over here and there we go that’s the white one or the silver one whatever wait where is he there we go

And let’s get the last guy so this guy is wearing way less help than the last guy as well so i’m guessing it goes brown silver gold jade or whatever it is green so yeah um big open tiers i guess makes sense makes sense let’s go to game of three what was that

Fire there what just shot that fire oh it’s these cracks in the ground oh interesting and also these guys will be in the um the structure as well the magma crawlers they set you on fire i think um so we’re gonna go back to the top here and game mode one

And place the um iron scarab on top and boom it opens up the structure and down we go and what is this temple teleporter nice um in here we got some jade not too bad not too bad um and how do i supposed to use whatever this is

Uh jade sloths i supposed to use a jade piece on this i think oh yeah you’re supposed to fill this with jade okay am i bad uh put that back i can’t put it back anymore oh okay i’ll put another one here there we go okay it’s a puzzle

My bad i messed up wha it just it just killed me something is very wrong something is very wrong okay i think it was supposed to send me down here anyway so um what is this one what is this one asking for uh okay this one’s asking for

Scarabs i think well let’s grab the block exoskeleton okay let’s grab some exoskeleton x magma cream slot okay my okay there we go there’s the magma cream one see that teleporter works properly um okay what’s this one my my crawler eye sloth magma what there’s no i don’t call that

I can’t even spawn it in what is going on here magma crawler it is a thing why isn’t it showing up in the inventory in the creative menu boom there we go and now he spawns in finally oh my god okay let me go down here i’m guessing

Yeah there we go there’s the big guy and that is a lot of health that is more than the tarantula i think that’s like 500 has to be 500 right it’s four or five hundred anyway um so yeah let’s just see oh that’s a lot

Of health that is a lot of health okay uh we need the parabol so as you can see like um his special okay i’ll just show you zero for a second here okay so this guy will throw sand and also do a lot of damage a lot of

Damage and he kind of grabs you too and blinds you and stuff so crazy mob very crazy but um definitely killable definitely killable also has a jump attack ah oh my god and he does that so yeah very strong he’s all of his attacks i think so i can go back into creative

And he gives you nausea and slowness too so yeah i’m going back to creative and let’s take him out oh he’s been to arrows now what oh was he always i think he’s always been terrorists wow crazy and he’s down nice and he dropped the quake hammer and he

Dropped the soul crystal i don’t know what this can be used for uh the wand of animation right click blocks to animate them that sounds crazy um the quick hammer hold right mouse button to charge up sneak and right click on top of a block to use aoe attack so

And so it’s charging so and then oh man that’s crazy i like that that is very crazy all right and we also got the antelone egg as well so that’s a little bit of a prize we can take as well pretty cool and then we can go back out of the

The pyramid thing with this and then we can just poop and this also teleports back to the the void right yeah why why why oh man anyway that was the erebus mod i hope you guys did enjoy there’s obviously a whole lot more to this mod but i don’t

Have time to showcase because they were going to like hours long if i was to showcase everything in this mod and so i’m going to let you guys explore some of it too i’ll just show you kind of the main mobs and bosses and stuff like that so

Yeah that’ll do for this one i’m looking forward to playing this on my model series soon enough because i haven’t gone to this dimension yet so i’m looking forward to doing that but that’ll do for this one thank you so much for watching if you did enjoy
