Exploring 2b2t Alternatives – 2021 Edition

We all know that 2b2t has an extremely long queue i mean look at this almost one day estimated until we’re on the server this is just madness but luckily 2b2t is not the only anarchy server out there there’s a plethora of alternatives to 2b2t some good

Some bad and some that are just plain weird now i have covered servers like this in the past but a lot has changed since then there’s way more of them in existence and the approach is some of them take to this anarchy genre can get pretty interesting

But before i or any of you join these servers i can’t stress enough that you should be using a vpn and here’s why whenever you join any minecraft server your ip address immediately shows up in the admin server logs and because some of these servers that i’ll be joining are admittingly pretty sketchy

So first of all i’m gonna try actually joining these servers anonymously so i got my alt here and let’s just get started here so i’m going to start with a server that i’ve never been to before and i have zero context so apparently it’s called l2 x9.org let’s give this a go

So i guess that’s kind of cool so i guess this server actually still allows unicode characters uh a while ago 2b2t actually banned those in the chat so it’s pretty interesting oh my gosh this server is so laggy there’s only 40 players on but overall i don’t know about this

Server i mean it’s pretty laggy um there is a good player base on here but the thing is that i don’t know how old the map is so there’s no way to see that unfortunately but but i don’t know i mean if you speak spanish and you’re looking for an anarchy server

I mean this one seems somewhat okay all right so this next server that i’m joining is a weird one it’s called 1b1t.org i mean i have no clue what this is about let’s just see what it is welcome to hell oh my god i guess the server actually lives up to its name

Looks totally fine so i have a feeling that this server is pretty new which i don’t really like that much because when i think about anarchy servers i think about the history of the map and that’s honestly one of the things that basically all of these servers that

I’m going to visit are going to lack is just the old maps because 2b2t you can’t beat that but either way for servers like these the older the map the better okay i’m totally lost of like what to do there’s nothing going on nobody’s saying anything in chat

I mean let’s just do slash help alright well this looks very similar to wtt let’s type slash stats thirty one thousand one hundred and sixty six players have spawned in and the map was generated eight eighteen twenty nineteen all right so i guess the server does have some history but

Really 31 000 people for some reason i just highly doubt that i guess one nice quality is that the server isn’t lagging but it’s probably just because the server has nobody online okay i just respond and there’s a single water block down there let’s see if i can make it oh yes

Now the other thing i just realized is because this server has such few people actually playing on it i don’t see the reason why they’re even running on 1.12 i mean it just seems so pointless 1.16 would easily be able to handle quite a few players and this server is certainly no exception

Bedrock and just placed it down and it hasn’t been well edited out yeah it’s really really amazing so yeah this i would count this as a just as a pretty good quality 2b2t alternative it’s a very old school experience if you ever wanted to see what you know

The players of 2b used to experience [ __ ] 2012 this is about as close as you’re gonna get yeah absolutely so if you remember in my last video i joined this server called purity vanilla now i didn’t really do much with it because the server didn’t allow hacked clients

And i basically called it a fake anarchy server but i thought i should take a closer look at it because honestly the concept of an anarchy server without hacking seems like a pretty cool idea so i’m gonna have an open mind this time and take a closer look at the server

Wow an anarchy server not stuck on 1.12 for once jeez i gotta see this man what are my chords okay not terribly far out it seems like there’s a bunch of withers that spawn i mean i don’t know if they have like a wither skull farm

Or maybe they duped the items i mean because apparently this server has rules so speaking of rules let’s actually take a look at the rules so here we go server rules no lag machines are deliberate use of server resources no use of exploits or duping no use of hack clients external programs x-ray

Really how the developers intended in my opinion i don’t think so so i’m sorry to say but i still stand by my original opinion of this server it’s not true anarchy and i wouldn’t even count this as true vanilla now here’s a server that i’ve heard a lot of really good things about

And apparently this server runs 1.16 but it’s heavily optimized so i’m just going to give this a go and let’s see what the server has to offer okay how many players are online okay there’s about 25 players on whoa 300 player slots wow look at this 20 tps and there’s 26 players on

Now for an anarchy server running 1.16 already that is really good look at this view distance it’s actually i think this is around the same as 2b2t’s render distance but i could be wrong now just a little disclaimer i do actually know the owner of this server

But either way i’m going to give my unbiased opinion about it also look at this a lot like that other server we joined there’s actually animals at spawn let me actually kill this cow here and grab some food might as well look at this it’s actually moving freely like there’s no lag

That’s really crazy and the skeletons yeah this is like this is just like survival minecraft now yes there are only 27 players on and yeah the tps is around 17 but that’s still more than playable and i mean so far i haven’t gotten any you know serious kickbacks or anything from lag

So look at this over here there’s like bamboo it’s so weird seeing this on an anarchy server because i’m so used to 1.12 and just older versions of minecraft but wow seeing like modern items on an anarchy server is just so cool okay what’s this i think we’re coming to a highway here

Cannot show that in video but this is so interesting actually seeing netherrate in full use on an anarchy server but even though that netherright is down here it seems like obby is still the number one block so apparently the server is also eight months old so that’s why

All of this is just like older another terrain because this server was on 1.12 before it eventually upgraded to 1.16 but yeah that’s also the cool thing about a server that was running on 1.12 and it’s now running on 1.16 there’s a variation in terrain types so you have the old

1.12 terrain and then you have the new modern terrain oh that’s a shulker box over there yeah let’s see what’s inside the shulker 64 anvils i mean what am i gonna do with these all right zombie get over here nice who knew that you could use anvils

To defend yourself now here’s the thing this server is running 1.16 pretty well with 20 players but i’m not convinced until this server actually has its 300 player limit maxed out i mean that would be the real test to see if this server can really handle that many players on one map

Anyways with the fact that the server is running 1.16 and there’s basically no lag i would call this a very good alternative to 2b2t yes the map is only around 8 months old but that’s just something that’s really hard to avoid when joining 2b2t alternative servers you
