fWhip – I Built a CAMEL OASIS in Hardcore Minecraft 1.20 Survival

I’m in the process of recreating my first Minecraft city I built over six years ago we’ve already transformed the mesa into a lush desert to find a more up-to-date build style before starting a massive farming project to feed the people of these lands today we’re integrating the new Minecraft camel into

Farming Village but I ran out of time so to get started today I want to finish this by adding in a second windmill a little bit further down the road We’ll add more of these to the Future as the Farmland region keeps growing but before

We build the rest of the mini Village I have some cats who need names thank you so much for all of those suggestions two that really popped out to me were Felix and Sahara now I need a ton of materials to finish building the houses but first

I just distraction as we’ve got some more axolotls to breed one no no no no no no no two three oh man you’re like oh that’s not an axolotl it is blue though I think I got most of them but still no blue Axolotl choker monster has been

Moved but I need a few more boxes of stuff here which means a quick trip back home to grab some empty shulker boxes and uh just ignore the front porch being built here first up at the lumber mill to craft down all of the different wooden materials I’m gonna need for this

Project as I really want to use wood Accents in the desert to avoid that Sandstone on Sand look as it’s a little Bland this did require yet another trip to the jungle as I still have no jungle logs in storage we got another burp yes be my friend please no I’ll be back

Please yes and another verb safely dropped off at the desert I just gotta go back home to get all the rest of the materials one extra step as I came down here to trade with the Masons for as much glazed terracotta so I can get my

Hands on as I’m probably gonna want to use a lot of it in the city later so it’ll be good just to have some to experiment with yeah not that one a little bit more expensive than I thought it would be but this should be a good amount of glazed terracotta to get

Started just a few more shulker boxes here but that means it’s time to build and I’d like to start here with a bit of a red Sandstone Obelisk where we can flip some smooth Redstone stairs upside down then some red Sandstone on top to transition into some walls that I need

To get on top of that’ll work and we’re gonna pull a bit of a B-Dubs on this or if you haven’t seen he recently started using glass panes to bring the walls out and create some artificial Shadows so with the gray one down there for the inner side then we can transition into

The light gray here and go up about that top we’re already at this point you can kind of barely see the glass panes in there and I like the shape it’s creating now we need some homes in here so I grabbed some Oak planks and some Sandstone variants to build a small four

Block tall house as I don’t want anything too tall to impede the views of our windmills Where we end up with this in a small well out in front and I thought over here we could start adding in a few of our picture pods then jungle sapling in the flower pot grabbing a little water out of the well we can actually hide a

Few bits of cheeky water sources back in here and on the slabs in the road grab some of our sugar cane and use this to create a small garden over here for something like that and I’ll add some strings maybe this front guy stays down

That one can be too tall and both the back ones can be three and then we’ll just fill in the rest with some grass with the first house done I want a slightly larger one in the back that we can attach a canvas to to cover the road

From the hot sun a few little hanging signs and I like it it’s framing in pretty well I used an oak and Birch along the back here and I tried adding the strips logs in twos to look almost like a large brick now over in this section with the Terracotta I’ve got

Something that I don’t have in my inventory ah smokers because I’ve got something fun in mind to add for our workstation for like an oven out here so we can continue our terracotta going around like this and then we’re gonna bring out a little bit more of our brick

On the front and back so we can have an opening as I want to fill the Middle with some campfires that’ll be producing smoke most of this will be covered in however so we can add another campfire and hide it with some trap doors so the villagers don’t kill themselves and we

Can start to cover this section here with some slab stairs and full blocks going all the way to the front and we end with a cool place for outdoor cooking and then we’ll have some butchers actually hanging out here because the smokers I really like the

Overhang I used way over there at the trading Outpost so I want to build a similar but like smaller version of that right here at the edge of the village we get our stairs in with the fences going all the way down a little bit more light

And then we can bring our smooth red sandstone and I say to use some of our light blue glazed terracotta up here at the top and I’ll come back with the glow like in there at the end to put it on the corner then we can do the red

Sandstone on the top with some occasional leaves up here to hide it all a small Tower attached over here that’s got a ladder inside we can use to look out over everything I’m really happy with how this is turning around and it’s very full of life and villagers I think

Eventually if we break the workstations would find their way over here so we can add in a few more maybe with like a small wheelbarrow right back over here and it’s a very functional farming Village section of the world so I want to just be full of crates that they’re

Using to like package goods and get them moving on do I have any extra wool in here maybe somewhere in this absolute mess yeah we do let’s make a few beds this way the villagers actually have somewhere that they can stay safe if they need to we’ll have Interiors

Eventually yeah closing the door I mentioned last episode wanting a few more tree designs and I think I found something that can work out pretty well where we can use our bamboo fences up here to create a rough structure bringing Acacia leaves around that oh a

New villager came no no that’s the same knit whip but on the tree I want to add in a few Moss blocks that we can hide between the leaves and hide tall grass on top of those which we can do another set up here at the top layer bring them

Down just a touch so it’s not super flat and we get some weird kind of vacation type tree over here that I think looks pretty good maybe we just flick a few of the leaves up to make it so not everything’s just going down yeah that’ll work [Applause] Moving on to the camel sanctuary I’m going to start by adding in a bunch of our Birch slabs along here to make a pathway that we can detail with our roadblocks a little bit later on which kind of looks like a road maybe kind of leading down into this natural bowl of a

Desert landscape where I want to transform this into an oasis for our future camel friends to hang out I’m not 100 sure what I want to do at this place yet so to start out I’m just pushing back the sand to help reinforce the idea of this being sunken down in a natural

Place for water to gather the inner ring here is where we’re gonna have to Pond and I can just Mark that out more clearly with some Moss then grabbing a little bit of dirt we can start digging farther down to Mark out the bed A little water in and we have the Oasis cool job done no no no no fine we’ll make it look cool I promise step one as I keep running out of jungle logs is going to be turning this portion of the desert into a bit of a mini jungle all

Of these are just need to they just need to grow oh hello and I am almost out of mud again and I know we have mud at home but Mom the mud in the mangrove swamp is so much tastier uh I mean easier to get

Just a quick trip back home to the old world as yet again I need some more wheat to convert all of this into packed mud looks like I was just out of range for the jungle trees to grow so we can help them along here with a little bit

Of bone meal or maybe not maybe maybe we can’t help this one regardless I got to work chopping down all 16 large jungle trees just after the remaining ones grew up which ended up taking a little longer than expected but now I have over half a

Shocker of jungle logs so we can grab some of our pack mud some jungle logs crafted down into planks and wood I love playing with sight lines in this game so not only did we drop the terrain down for the Oasis I also want to build some

Large rocks around the edge to make the space feel even more enclosed the packed mud is working really well here now we can add in a few of our highlights using our jungle planks which are gonna stay right up here along the edge above where

It starts to turn back in I know I could be using slabs and stairs here but for terraforming I kind of just prefer the blocky look as usually terraforming for me gets pretty big so this also saves a lot of time now on top of our jungle

Planks for a few real heavy highlights we can add in our strip jungle log and the first Traders visiting the desert oh hi buddy don’t have any blocks on me to buy micro blocks but you know he’s here this is looking pretty good but I’ve got

To cover the top with sand which means first up we do some torches down below and then we bring in a bunch of dirt underneath for the bottom layer and finally our sand goes on top here Last little bit of sand is in and I like that I think that’s gonna work really well I want this to be really Lush down here but I did want to border it with some dirt I am a little bit worried though about how that’s gonna blend into

These brown rocks that we’re creating oh hi bunny Maybe that means we just kind of extend the Moss out a little farther in patches rooted door it’ll be right up against it and then we can throw the regular dirt in like this [Applause] As I was thinking uh let’s get the rest of these rocks in I’ve been really enjoying experimenting with different materials for terraforming recently instead of just using what Minecraft considers Stone so this has been a fun project to work on so far and with the first half finished up this isn’t

Looking too bad using the packed mud in here for the clips also gives a better reason for our packed mud houses to exist as it kind of shows they got the material from somewhere and I think for these back low Corners over here I’m gonna leave them as some

Extra sand just so it helps divide it even more there goes the entire base in for the Oasis now which means I just need to finish up the surrounding rocks starting with the pack mud for shaping of the train seems to be the best idea for me right now

That’s looking pretty good with a few extra rocks over here and now we have multiple Pathways leading down into the oasis that will smooth out shortly as we can first check another box on the project list today by detailing out these rocks this has mostly taken sand

And dirt to smooth out as I have to do this all the way on the train behind so hopefully finishing up these last few sections doesn’t take another shulker box of each and I am out of sand thankfully over at the Trading Post we should have plenty

More in storage this is starting to look really good though okay one last section to finish foreign Terrain right back in here there’s already a cave thingy so it’s gonna stay thingy and now before I forget brand new type of field in this world with Crimson Roots this might even be the first time I’m using this item but we’re embracing new things today like if

I promise it’s on theme I want to build a sea pickle farm and to make the Oasis something that we visit again in the future let’s hide it here underneath the pond where we can create a little bit of a secret chamber in here seems very fitting to have something hidden within

The Oasis itself today we’re going to be building a mango super sea pig farm as I don’t like to AFK in this world if I can help it so we’re building the sea purple farm that produces over 90 000 pickles per hour Goblin flip would be extremely

Happy with this one not to mention the giant hole that we’ve dug out I lowered everything in additional four blocks to make space for the farm in here without breaking through the surface the pickle farm is surprisingly petite for how many items it’s going to produce so I set off

To procure all of the different items starting with some core blocks and of course some pickles to keep this on theme might crafted a bunch of lime glass we can use for building the farm along with a quick stop for some deep slate outside of that my Redstone box

Actually had almost everything I need so just a few powered rails observers and a dispenser and this is pretty much everything I’m gonna be needing for the farm starting over here I want to set up a collection system for all of our pickles and I think nine double chests

Should be able to do it eventually they’ll just all come flung down through here that’s a little way to separate the farm I’m thinking we just can add a barrier in here to get to the collection space and to make sure any pickles don’t jump out of the farm more glass on top

With an easy way to get up here for maintenance I just need the whole Farm first a quick line of deep slight going around the outside for the Redstone where we’re actually going to be using powered rails to quickly transmit it and then to read the signal observers are

Going to look at that this whole Farm Works off of a shifting floor here at the base so we can add in some of our pistons and then we’re gonna create the space where all of the dirt I’m adding in right now is eventually going to be

Coral but it’s gonna need water to stay alive just like the villagers need daytime before we get into the Farm itself we can finish setting up the item Transportation tracks to move pickles to storage now for the difficult part getting the items back to storage where

I use one water bucket and I believe if I just spilled this out all the way and fill it in with our dirt and maybe take the water away and put it back or if I patch in all of the holes here and then let the water flow it should fill

Everything and now I can break all those open which does appear to be working perfect I just need an extra water source right there oh uh hi everybody I’m just gonna get a little bucket of water real quick have a nice one all ready to go so now here in the middle I

Can throw in our coral and then below we have to get rid of this entire layer of dirt and replace the bottom dirt with more coral and we throw the pickle right there up top I just need to hook up a dispenser with bone meal storage and some observers to trigger them

Throwing the bone meal inside this chest right here I should be able to come back over here and flip this lever and we’re getting all of the pickles are you getting stuck oh they’re making their way over I knew it was a lot of pickles but that’s a lot of pickles five minutes

Later and yes yes we have a lot of pickles four coming in this Farm again okay we’ll get pickles soon but first I need to finish up the road coming all the way down here I love this road design because it looks absolutely terrible at first and then

All the pieces just fit together now around the pond itself here I want to create a less dense version of The River Edge and I already have sugar hand in here but we can add in a few small patches of our bushes with the Azalea and Birch that we’ve been using maybe

Along the back over here we can make it a little bit more dense I also do have a few small drip leaf that we can just kind of add around the edge and a few little patches man I wish this block was easier to get it’s so pretty but from

That we could bone meal underwater to help kind of block the view of the pit as we don’t want to be super obvious that there’s a farm down there that since we’re in a different Zone I also feel like we can introduce a few new flowers down here as if they’re only by

The Oasis in this region so I’m gonna need a few more lilacs and we can dot some of these around am I doing this because I’m out of pitcher pods or do I just want new flowers no the world may never know but it does look pretty good

And this is meant to be part of the camera Sanctuary that we’re working towards building today so I was thinking we could extend ourselves over here and create a small place for the caretaker who would be watching after the camels down here to hang out with all the

String and we can kind of start figuring out how it’s gonna look at maybe a slight angle here on the canvas which that’ll work or maybe he’s got a little table a place to store some goods and a bench no that’s the same color as the

Wall or maybe he is just sitting on a rock ah yeah one final step for now down here I want to add in our Tall Grass to fill in the empty spaces however also using this to Define some Pathways for people traveling through last step here

Inside of the sand as we can’t really place any tall grass on it we can add some dead bushes I do want to add in some trees down here but we’ll have to get to that later as the region outside the Oasis needs some love which means a

Trip back home to trade for some bricks that I can use to craft flower pots and while I’m down here a lot of people have been suggesting I use the small Amazon this cluster as like a succulent like this little guy or maybe even the

Smaller one so let’s see if we can re oh there’s one and you just grew dang it there’s another I think we’ll use these pretty sparingly oh there’s another so that should be enough next a quick stop down at the cactus farm which has been working and I’ll need some more tart flowers to add on top of the cactuses as their little cactus flower so we can Harvest part of

The field here too yes yes I’m replanting a two don’t worry it’s fine but that that’d be everything with some extra bricks so back to the desert where I can grab some dead bushes from the shulker here oh yeah and I am so glad I saved them all from the Mesa

Because wow I’ve used a lot oh my gosh I almost forgot about the pickles let’s grab a few sticks and of course I forgot somewhere uh the string now for my plan on detailing these Upper Ridge lines I want to add in the succulents being our amethyst buds dead bushes flower pots

And sea pickles more along the edges and then as we move farther back I want to transition into the patches of cactus that we’ve already used inside of the desert And this is the first Ridge and I I think I like how it turned out I don’t know let me know what your thoughts are in the comments I think it’s worth moving forwards on but I don’t know if I love it I don’t know let’s keep going

Speeding through these next few sections I started to like this more and more as I went along it’s definitely very much different than what we’ve been doing out here but also with the Oasis it adds almost like a mystical Vibe which is pretty fun definitely still having a pot uh pots

But I’m running out of the rest of these items with what I do have left I figured we could decorate the road leading all the way down here into the oasis with a little bit more so it’s uh not just a dead empty desert to walk along yeah

Stop wow why is it always the babies you don’t burn in the I’m gonna be hungry for like five minutes I mean 12 seconds but basically five minutes stupid husks but at least this is looking pretty good walking down into the oasis before we add in any trees

Let’s take a look at where we started with the desert and now where we are at with all these beautiful details in place it does look a little less impressive with the jungle in the background but that’s temporary and I’ll be honest I’m really happy I did these

Ridge lines first as this area is pretty full already so we shouldn’t need to add in too many trees but I do want to grab bamboo fences and Acacia leaves little moss and Tall Grass then crafting our Granite walls grabbing oak leaves jungle fences and a few pieces of terracotta

From behind the Mesa that is a really dead looking jungle tree compared to the rest of them oh sorry buddy oh that’s a cave of nope now on the North side I’d like to add in two of the smaller trees with the bamboo fences and Acacia leaves covering the area near our tent

Providing even more shade thank you I’m still sorting out the design for these but I think they work not really my favorite tree yet but we’re just we’re gonna let them breed for a bit well I think on those we can go back to the Old Faithful palm tree and add in a

Few bunched together on the south end I am so sad right now my pink bed just died on this Cactus it’s gone it’s been with us for over 3000 days like get an F in the comments and let me know what color bed we should make next we got a

Stupid light gray bed for now but we’re on to the final steps before we can bring camels into this area we first need a stable for them to call home and I’m thinking it’s gonna go right back in here so we can get rid of this Cactus

I’m saving the bushes because I can’t lose anything else today thankfully I had most of the materials ready to go inside of the nearby shulker mess I just need to convert them down into their respective final products in order to throw this Build Together Another three sugar boxes here of loving how the Minecraft inventory Works ready to go don’t understand why these don’t stack we got something more important to deal with just like lighting you on fire yay subscribing the jungle plugs and logs over here we can start with the staple

Structures I don’t know why I keep putting a plural on that but I do but there’s only gonna be one of them with three doors yay for the Campbells we need some big archways so something like that should work and then I’m thinking we take this

To be too wide over here and set up another one of our archways we are getting all of the visitors today hi ah yeah yeah come back later okay this right here is gonna work for the front now this will work for the front where

We can move up to the next layer that’s going to be a big surprise so I want to bring in a bunch of spruce trap doors go with our note blocks on top of this and Spruce slabs on top then super surprised more trap doors oh wait wait we almost

Forgot it the fence that’s the general idea for the first building so I wrapped all the way around the back and created Windows for airflow attached to this I want a two-story building for storage and a way to give the villagers a place to watch the camels so we’re gonna start

With a Sandstone structure down here for the storage itself that we can shrink back here just a touch with a little bit of our sand I’m thinking and we make it a bit more textured and behind this I want to bring in a little Spruce for a doorway with a spruce door

And I think that’ll do for the front where are we gonna have a place where we go stand up here and just use some Sandstone walls grabbing a little water from the village well over here the camos are gonna be thirsty I know we have the Oasis down to the bottom but a

Little trough up here just makes a little bit more sense to me and some hay bales for snacks now I am planning to carry a bamboo fence along here going around the entire perimeter but we’ll tackle that here shortly for now that can be it there and we have a Sandstone

Wall here where I have some stairs up at the top and I’m thinking we can just step them down as a way for our villagers to walk all the way up like that then we can box this little place in here with a little bit of our smooth

Sandstone and even more of the Sandstone action going probably uh we’ll just go back to here can’t help but get into the detail phase already so we can do that guy up there and I’m thinking as we step up here we just throw in some of our

Torch flowers I’m gonna have to figure a way around that tree to get a path back in I kind of forgot oop kind of forgot to put it there now once we’re up to the top here I’m thinking we can extend ourselves around like this with our Oak

Flanks as a lower balcony structure in front of a new Second Story mud brick building coming together here along the front here I want to add in a large cover wrapping around the entire balcony going from our slabs into campfires where hopefully I have more aha with the

Fires extinguished we can just add some Spruce trap doors in front some lanterns to keep it safe and then right in here a brewing stand in a chain for some decoration now along the inside here it’s gonna get a little bit more interesting I’m thinking we take some

Strip logs right along there and there planks across the top and then if we grab more of our Spruce trap doors I want to try doing this where it’s gonna make a too deep window but it’s gonna split it and we can do the same right

Over here this side we can throw in some barrels and beehives a little bed and candles for like simple but I kind of like it I am really enjoy enjoying adding in all of these canvas covers so I decided to just throw another one in

Here for the open space off to this side and the remaining decorative pots I’m thinking we just add up here all right a flower pot inside flowering Azalea and then we just do azalea leaves on top of that where I’ve also set up a little

Ladder to get up at the top here where we have another more outdoorsy section with no cover from the Sun but so no mobs appear up here we can light a candle a pretty simple build but out here in the village I think it works pretty well a few more quick steps here

I want to fix up the Flora touch as the sand just isn’t working for me over here I love my desert builds but after a while the sand on Sandstone look to me is just a little a little too much you know now inside the Stalls I’m thinking

We use mostly are Birch and Birch slabs there we go now we just have a little bit more contrast against the sandy desert now within the village itself I definitely need to connect up a little pathway for the villagers they’ll definitely never use it but at least I can know it’s here

I realized I didn’t really throw a door in so we’re just gonna do one right here and then we can open this up again now it can look a little more official this tree is so in the way but I kind of love it so I’m not gonna move it this is

Looking much better but there’s something I definitely forgot about for the entire episode uh let’s breed up the axolotls here fishy fishy fishy nope nope fishy get in the bucket here we go again we might need to get a second tank soon as there are so many

Axolotls no no no no no uh oh I saved it now you can eat it that’s that’s fine just you have to wait for me to give it to you in the bucket you can’t eat it off the ground Minecraft’s weird like that it’s okay we got another cyan

Axolotl but no blue one I say Finishing Touch I added in more trees in front to offer even more shade for the camels the Staples is looking pretty good but I need to expand the fence to keep our future camels inside and unfortunately it needs to be two blocks tall which

Means a quick trip back home as I want to continue the bamboo fences around the entire thing and we have so much bamboo down here at the farm oh it’s almost completely full which I can turn this into way too many bamboo fences Hopefully this is enough back at new Papyrus now I want to first start around the Oasis itself as I don’t want the camels be able to escape on the far side so we’re gonna have to make all of these double tall and hope that it’s enough doesn’t look great but it doesn’t look

Terrible I’m also gonna have to fix these spaces where the camels could walk up the side of the cliffs we built like right here and right here definitely along this layer I’m rooting the the last place on this side I think is going to be the Valiant here and it’s

Pretty skinny so I shouldn’t need to do too much like this will be perfect maybe we can extend a little rooted dirt out here just to keep the path going from the top of the Stables I think we continue this bamboo fence line right over to there and then we’re gonna have

To take this guy probably maybe we just bring it back down to there that could be good and then we don’t have to make a giant ugly fence any more than I already need to make a giant ugly fence but that’s fine there goes the first line in place and

It’s not as ugly as I thought it would be and then from there we can finish off the final bamboo fence line along the other side I made way too many fences I thought this place was massive but that’s it probably need to add a few ways for

Myself to walk in so we could just do some fence gates along and then along the inside we have a bunch of cactus up there on the ridge line but since our Campbell’s eat cactus and breed from them I’m really hoping they don’t get spricked to death by Cactus but uh this

Is gonna be a bit of an experiment just two little patches in here now for the true test I need to find some camels thankfully I went fishing recently and I found a few Saddles along the way that I stored inside this chest now I already

Do have one camel so if we can only find one more we can still breathe them but I’d love to leave him over at the trading post and he came from this Village we’ve got to find some more desert Villages oh we already got one please tell me there’s a camel yes yes

There is hey buddy and Grand Theft cam will go we’re off oh he’s not a quick one oh he’s so cute though through the ear thing do the ear thing oh oh sorry oh oh oh they do they they die to cactuses Ah that’s a problem this is the

Thing Campbells are supposed to be for nope nope nope he’s not he’s a little slow oh man look at new Papyrus growing there on the horizon this is so fun seeing it come together skip it yeah here we are with the first one delivered right into the middle of the sanctuary

Please sir don’t die on the cactus yeah it’s pretty cool huh yeah oh he he loves okay I’ll go find you a friend I’ve ravaged these lands for mud and sand long enough then I think I remember there being a village on the far side of

The mangrove swamp and there it is now where the camel of the village I don’t know but there is Belle I don’t think there’s a camel here I’ve been I’ve been wandering around for a while and I can’t find one okay we move on to Village

Number three that does have a camel yes wait there’s a bell there’s a bell I need the Bell thank you and we are off on the long journey back home not sure how much I love the camels but they are pretty fun to be able to jump over

Rivers they are much better than horses in that regard yeah you are yeah you are do the little ear thing do it please yay come on buddy big jumper here we have the second camel back home and if the first one he is still alive okay buddies

Let’s let’s make a baby camel I need to know how adorable it is for science and we got an advancement look who can we usually how cute it is I love it can I just feed you a bunch and you grow big and strong ooh my cash he is so cute I

Need more oh no no how did it die on a cactus this is supposed to be easy and it died okay we’re gonna very carefully take our camels and we’re just gonna say it’s an inside day let’s go get the baby come here little guy no no

Stay inside please come on buddy come on come on yes please thank you and I’m curious if that’ll work uh no baby no baby uh how can a baby camel still walk up two blocks until we can increase the Campbell population all camels must stand protection Pro big little guy grow big

I might be able to financially recover from this did I make a camel Sanctuary or did I make a camel death trap I guess we’ll find out in the future if these camels survive or not but I am in love with a beautiful sea pickle farm decorations and the camel Barn itself is
