Have Minecraft’s Textures gotten worse?

Whenever I play older versions of Minecraft I’m always amazed by all the differences and how the game feels compared to how it is today take a look at these two videos side by side technically both of them show footage of Minecraft Gameplay but they look incredibly different thanks to the 10

Consoles could not generate infinite worlds in Minecraft so every world that you created seemed to cut off into the abyss once you got to the edge it’s like being at the edge of a flat Earth or just being stranded on an island in the middle of nothingness newer Minecraft
