HD SKINS & TEXTURE PACKS // How To Roleplay: Revised (Minecraft Roleplay Tutorial)

This series is not meant to dictate how others make their role plays or meant to tell others their way of creating us wrong this is just my experience with creating role plays and everything i’ve picked up along the way this series is only meant to educate

Those who want to learn how to create role plays i hope this helps me to hear hey guys welcome to my channel or welcome back to my channel this is going to be the second video in the preparation portion of the how to roleplay series but this is actually the fourth

Video in the whole series all together today we’re gonna be talking about skins hd skins and resource packs we’re gonna talk about those three main things today this is going to be a little bit more of a voice ovary type of video rather than you see me in actual

Minecraft because most of this is going to be me talking about programs stuff like that and different types of skins normal skins skins are majorly important to your series this is what your character is going to look like and this is what’s going to represent them so make the design

Specific to the character’s personality like a favorite color or a type of style that the character more so identifies with if the character plays a sport maybe dress them a bit sporty maybe have them wear a letterman jacket if the character is more creative maybe make them

Artsy that type of stuff etc these are like your babies you’re going to treat them as such finding normal skins is very very easy um you can go to any skin making websites like planet minecraft nova skin skin decks etc and download some but i recommend putting together your own skins maybe

Take bits and pieces from other skins that you’ve seen and create something completely new or maybe make one from scratch taking inspiration with your skins and making them look like what others have made because i know that there is a very specific skin style for regular minecraft skins that is very very popular

But making your own skins is super easy within my opinion if you’re looking for how to learn to make normal skins i suggest checking out zombini and she makes amazing skins and she has made some really good tutorials in the past now if you don’t want to make a skin

Before you go and just start downloading things randomly i would make sure to check the title and description of the skin make sure it’s made for download some people will post skins to nova skin and add that this is for their series or their role play

And not download it or use it in your own so just be kind of considered about that and make sure that the skin is you know for download because there’s no way to upload a skin so people can view it but not download it unless you’re on like planet minecraft and not

Everybody uses planet minecraft if you do hear my dog barking in the background every time i speak she barks you can always ask a friend to make you skins or you can commission someone to make you a skin um like zambini she also has regular minecraft skin

Commissions i think they’re open i’m not 100 sure if they are i will link them in the description some links to people who you can commission um stuff from will be in the description but commissioning someone it does cost money so please do keep that in mind

Hd skins hd skins are very very common within the minecraft roleplay space do you exactly need hd skins to make a full role play no you don’t and you don’t have to feel bad if you don’t have any access to them there’s always other options but they do

Add an extra layer of complexity and emotion to a character’s face with adding expressions and stuff like that hd skins are not hard to make at all if you have the right resources and if you have the time to make them usually hd skins are drawn so there is a bit of art

Involved with hd skins you will obviously have to learn how to draw or know how to draw and then you would have to have a program which allows you to draw like um like fire alpaca is a free one paint tool sai is not for you but it’s still a good one

Krita is a free one all that type of stuff like i mentioned before you can commission skins but hd skins are going to be more expensive than regular skins because they are drawn all the way through and some people that i know who do take commissions for hd skins are lilly gumdrop

Squidtastics and pushy i will leave all of their links in the description since i am bringing up commissioning artists for skins and any sheet skins i feel like i need to talk about the kind of trash situation that happened a bit ago and i’m briefly just going to go over

The situation so bin of trash as you guys know is an amazing artist who works for or used to work for aphmau i don’t know if she still works for her but i assume most of you know who that is since aphmau is a huge creator just within the minecraft community in general

Ben has since left the mcrp community as a whole due to the fact that her skin assets edited and sold for personal gang and file shared effectively losing her money on her hard work there was a time where ben of trash did make hd skin packs for the community to purchase

And use within their own series um while also giving the proper credit of course these assets were like stuff from like scratches um blood custom clothing um shirts pants you know bathing suits all that type of stuff assets that i use in my role play that

You might see like eyes and stuff like that or assets that i’m using right now are bin of trash assets that i did purchase with my own money at the time her asses assets were still up for purchase i think they are up for purchase again if they are i

Will link them in the description ben is credited for her hard work on the assets i even added her into my default fill in for my description she’s also in my about page there is still a huge issue with people and creators file sharing all of her packs around

And this is the main reason why she stopped making them and left the community all together if you ever receive the file share to her assets don’t use them i understand it could be tempting they’re free and stuff like that well technically they’re not free but i understand it can be tempting

But don’t use them as they are pretty much stolen i recommend screenshotting who sent it to you and filing it away for later or maybe dm’ing ben on twitter but i know that she has closed the case on this ever since it first um you know started when she left the community

So i don’t recommend actually dming her about it because it still happens but um maybe just keeping a hold of that until she says otherwise via her twitter unfortunately this isn’t the first occurrence of this happening within the minecraft roleplay community and it’s honestly sad that she can’t openly work

Within this community because people will take advantage of it and if you are the people standing around her assets you are very much not welcomed on my channel or any of my platforms but aside from all of that i am going to show you guys some examples of hd skins that i have

Made with ben’s assets or i have had commissioned for me to use in series i would like to mention that i do have hd skin makers within my team and they all do get paid per skin that they pick up when i put out a request for skins within my team

It is a first come first serve basis so whoever replies first gets the skin and gets the commission i pay all of my you know skin makers four to five dollars per skin that they do make and they always have the option of erasing that if they would like to

Texture packs slash resource packs texture packs will give your series a certain feel and look to it it can drastically help your series and help convey the right type of feel you want for it like a apocalyptic pack or a modern pack here are some of my favorite packs but you can

Find texture packs on cursed forge or planet minecraft i recommend curse forge a little bit more though because planet minecraft people can kind of link away from it and it can be kind of sketchy number one invictus invictus is a very modern texture pack and i feel like it is a really

Good one if you are doing a modern series i use it on all my modern stuff and atmosphere used in all of her stuff it is a great pack number two pure bd craft this has its own website and it’s completely safe to download from so i will link that in the description

But pure bd craft you might know a little bit better as the texture pack that aphmau uses in mcd and i honestly it’s a great pack i use it just for like survival play if i ever play survival on my own i use it for almost everything i really like that

Pack it’s such a nice cartoony way and it really fits in well with minecraft and medieval times and even really fits in with the way minecraft characters look just in general i feel like it’s just an overall really nice pack number three lapis point texture pack

You guys might have heard of the lapis point map that a lot of people use within their series it’s a really good map for role plays and stuff like that is a very detailed map it has just about everything you’ll need on it but it does come with a specific texture

Pack that you will need and that a lot of people have customized in the past to have it be a little bit different a little bit more unique to them but um it is a texture pack that comes with the map and it is really really nice it gives you a lot of

Like modern details a lot of modern stuff to it a lot of like really cool stuff like tiling and all that type of stuff i feel like it’s really good but personally i customized it a little bit to make it a little bit more my feel number four green field texture

Pack this is also another texture pack that comes with the green filled map it is recommended that you use this texture pack with the map so yeah this is also a good one i’ve personally never used green field or used their texture pack but i know other

People who have and i’ve had to go on their servers so that way we could or i could help them voice act whatever and it’s honestly a good map it’s a good pack i feel like it’s really good there are certain parts of it that i don’t like that the houses are

Really small and they’re really hard to renovate etc but i feel like it is a good map just overall because it’s a really huge city map so you’ll have a lot of choices with it and the last one number five berryduco remix this is a fantasy rpg styled medievalish texture pack that i

Love if you want to know what this looks like there will be obviously video footage of it on the screen atmosphere did use this pack in her division series so if you’re wondering what that looks like that’s what that looks like i think it’s a great pack i found it one day

While just trolling around i feel like it’s very cool i like it very much it’s a good pack all of these are on either planet minecraft or chris forge i do not recommend downloading packs from any other websites than these but even planet minecraft can be a little bit

Sketchy so look out for that sites like adfly and mediafire make it able for creators to make a profit off of their creation and off of the links but these sites are also not very secure and if you don’t know what you’re doing you could accidentally

Get a virus from them also i am not liable for any virus you may get while trying to download stuff so please just don’t be dumb and you’ll be fine or if you’re young try to get an adult to help you but thank you guys so much for watching
