Hermitcraft 9: 1.20 Delving, Poop and Building! | Episode 41

Hello everyone my name is Pleasant Moon and welcome back to hermitcraft season 9 episode 41. oh there’s the thunderstorm I needed that for so long I have something stored away at my base waiting for just this moment and that means it’s time for me

Stop nope it’s still going okay I’m fine I’m fine and I need some leads but hey guys I have had in my base these cows sitting here for such a long time because you know what I wanted to do I wanted to make some mushroom cows so

Let’s go lovelies I want to turn you into a mushroom come on I really hope this is still thunderstorming the amount of times that a thunderstorm happens and it just stops is astronomical okay if I do it now I don’t know if it’s still thunderstorming it’s raining but is it

Regular mooshrooms into their Brown variants but not regular cows what can I say I for sure have a big brain I’m not being sarcastic about that anyway your cow things aside we are back in the world of hermitcraft and I’m ready to do a whole bunch of different things

Because you know what we are now in 1.20 gems already got herself some cherry trees and the lovely lovely famous little sniffer boys over there and I definitely need to get some of my own however there are some things I would like to attend to first before we get

Into that so let’s go check them all out first things first we have the shulk box that’s appeared in my base free sample courtesy of I buy impulse the prison balls look it’s a bunch of bamboo oh dear you haven’t tried to swim in lava now I would normally address that but

Japanese has been swimming in lava on purpose because he comes back from the Nether and he dies on purpose in order to get back quicker so assuming that’s what that is but okay we’ve got some bamboo I don’t know second I’ve just realized I was gonna say okay you know I don’t know

What I’ll use bamboo for but in the newest update 1.20 you can make bamboo blocks and hold on a second if we hop over to a little crafting bench here hold on hold on hold on hold on Crafting Banshee oh look at these things oh and it’s a beautiful green color as

Well you know what that neck goes really well with some beautiful lush green nature type builds and I could see myself definitely using this block but not only do you have this beautiful kind of like Lush type of green block of bamboo you can strip it and it becomes a

Yellow block again that’s pretty cool does it kind of go with my floor in here a little bit it’s a bit off tone but still a very interesting block nonetheless and not only can you strip it as well and get the Yellow Version you can make that into some place I

Didn’t mean to change all of my green ones into the yellow bamboo plank so now I am sad well that’s fine I guess I now have a bunch of bamboo planks and yes this comes with slabs stairs doors pressure plates trap doors buttons and a bamboo raft which is quite a new

Actually it’s gonna plunk it there on the ground look at that thing it’s like a regular boat but you’re no longer protected by water splashes from the sides nice look amigo ran in my own base so thank you very much impulse I certainly do appreciate the box of bamboo and I’m definitely

In 1.20 the fact that we can edit Signs Now by right clicking on them this is a quality of life feature in an update that I’ve wanted for so long and this is absolutely fantastic and you know what I think can you yeah you can write a

Message on the back of the sign too it’s absolutely crazy hold on let’s just say hi right on the back and it works there’s a completely different sign that is insane to me but now let’s take care of all the rest of the other duties that we have lying around Scar’s base looking

From up here to survey the area I think I have them all covered there’s just a few signs it’ll be right we’re here to help scar don’t be afraid to reach out to the cleaning lady at 1-800 clean lady thank you for your business moving on I

Started this episode today to the trade section of twinkly trash now to my knowledge Zuma has not quite finished the stories just yet but like I said in the last episode I would like to be making some interior for this place this is going to be the bulk of the machine

Means someone’s gonna be pretty safe to say where I can and cannot detail plus there’s also the fact that I want to decorate upstairs too it’s looking absolutely abysmal in here so we might as well get it ready for when the trade section can officially open and get

Ourselves started on some interior and you know what that means we’re gonna run a little time lapse so sit back get some popcorn take it easy and I’ll catch you guys afterwards roll it thank you It is that sweet sweet quiet time in the server where I’m the only one online because I’m currently in the Australian hours and you know what advantage that gives me the fact that I can sit at mumbo’s bun and I can get that first little yellow section super super easy

If you guys haven’t seen munro’s button game in the shopping district yet let me give you a little bit of a rundown mumbo’s had this set up for quite some time now and inside this building here is a whole bunch of diamonds you kind of gotta wonder how he got all of these

Diamonds but I guess that’s a mystery for now and what happens with this building is the lower the lights are to the other side the higher reward you get when you click that button right there however there’s a catch if you click the button it goes all the way back up to

This side again to the green section where you get nothing at all the yellow section appears to give three diamonds the red section gives you a diamond block and the purple section gives you three diamond blocks and we can’t forget to mention these absolutely gorgeous crowns that are just sitting on the

Front here these models will be beautiful each of these Redstone lights appears to be one hour each and I may have afk’d a little bit here while I was having my lunch breaks today and doing a little bit of editing and while this seemed to be enough to push it down into

That beautiful yellow zone and you know I gotta push it to give me that first beautiful crown let’s see come out oh there’s the diamonds thank you very very much and here we see those lights to go all the way back up again oh there it goes which

Means that is gonna take another five plus hours to get back down there again but you know what I’d say it was worth it oh my gosh don’t I look absolutely fabulous especially with sitting atop my bright yellow cap in the future I’m sure

We’ll try it for the red one but at this point while the server is quiet I couldn’t really risk waiting around for it and I have other things I need to be doing so I’m pretty happy with this one for now anyway let’s go back to twinkly

Trash trade and I’m gonna show you the beautiful new interior that we’ve just created and there we go hello hello now uh just a quick note here these signs do need some glow Squid Ink on them but I don’t currently have any glow Squid Ink so

That just kind of had to wait for a second what let’s show you what I’ve done anyway we have the how to use twinkly trash trade book because last time we didn’t have one but I don’t want to obviously overwhelm them with words so it’s only one page long how to use

Twinkly trash trade take what she wants the only catch is that you must trade something of equal value to what is taken hello llama deposit items into Mark’s Bays or the whirlpool to the left now of course this isn’t quite open yet so I’ll put up some closed signs so no

One goes in there too soon but when it’s fully open hopefully that should be nice and clear moving on in we see these signs here this level for misc item so on this floor I think like I’ve explained in the past this is all going to be for those items that can’t be

Sorted down into the bulk storage so anything that doesn’t normally get chucked out as often as things like terraforming blocks one thing you might already notice is the fact that we have these right here this is a brand new Block in 1.20 and it is the chiseled

Bookshelf we even have a little mini version of it here because I had a difference not this one A different wandering Trader come by it happened to trade for a little mini Blockhead version of it and that is beautiful but with these chiseled bookshelves you can

Grab an enchanted book and just plop it on in and it stores it it’s fantastic stick now it doesn’t have a UI at all so you can’t actually see what’s in there unless you purposefully grab it back out again but still pretty cool nonetheless and yeah you can choose whatever slot

You want to put your book in so if you want to you know do a little bit of room decoration you can choose whatever you want I’d say this opens up a whole new level of Library decoration in the future and that makes me very very excited follow the room decoration

Itself honestly I’ve just used a whole bunch of spruce I’ve kept up that kind of wood feel that we have going I have changed the roof to Spruce instead and have this kind of like slatted type pattern going on here and then contrasted it a little bit with these

Little curved supporting Archway pieces I I think it looks okay I’ll admit it was very hard to work with this space in an industrial manner or even a warehouse manner but I think it works one thing I have done as well is that when you’re standing up in this section of the floor

You can look through this Archway here and see another sign so no matter what angle people are coming in from if they use this entrance or that one one they should eventually see this sign that says downstairs to come in a bulk item

It was going to be items but I I ran out of room for the S so it’s it’s item okay it’s fine moving on downstairs here we go continuing the wood feeling that I have as well with the slats on the ceiling I’ve also used those End Rod and

Kind of industrial type lights that you might find in a factory ceiling I’ve bought a little bit more of the Grays down here to give it more of a slightly base metal underground feel but overall we’ve also got the floor that I did upstairs with these beautiful beehives

And Oak planks to uh complement each other quite nicely it’s quite a koozie we’ve got some frog lights in the floor some beautiful chests just on the walls as decoration and we have the little maintenance door here as well to get behind the storage system just in case

We need to make any altercations to it the drop-off area is right here I’ve labeled it with a nice green square for anybody that is going to add items into the trade section but overall this is just where they’re gonna be grabbing their items from I think one I’ve sorted

It properly and we’ve labeled everything I’m going to put some blocks on the ground that’s going to tell everybody what are in these chests at the end of the day this is all going to be the stuff like Stone Cobblestone a deep slate grass all the things that are

Commonly chucked Away by people up those stairs over there you guys know that to be a temporary storage room for the Shogun monster Pile in the future I will decorate this when this is moved on and out of here but for now it’s kind of like that little backstory room in a

Warehouse that people shouldn’t probably be looking at it’s not an excuse to hide a stalker Monster not at all I don’t know what you’re talking about now I will mention there is a couple of things left that I would like to do to this area and one of those things that you

Might have realized was lacking was some beautiful Greenery and what better way to display the greenery than on top of some brand new pots that have come with 1.20 would you just check these out these are really cool you just stick it in the corner here bam just like that oh

My I didn’t realize they were they don’t stack okay that’s something I didn’t realize but what you can do as well is you can put a regular pot on top of this this part you can then put a sapling inside of that part and it makes it look

Look like it’s coming out of the bigger one and then we do our usual and we stick our azalea leaves right on top just like that and it’s a beautiful little display piece as just the Right Touch of perfect Greenery to the area and finish this one up with the two

Leaves right here and there we go it’s just a little bit more homey in here a little bit more green a little bit more wonderful now this one over this side I’ve kept a little bit shorter because I actually want to put a sign right here but another cool thing that’s with 1.20

Is the fact that you can make these gorgeous hanging signs so instead of just having to awkwardly place it on the wall and make an entire Contraption just to support a sign all we got to do is just do this and would you look at that that looks absolutely cool hanging off

The side of the pole like that is that to Chuck the message on there on both sides and it’s all done beautiful now that we’ve had our first taste and dive into some of the 1.20 features it’s time to go into it a little bit more at the

Start of the video I meant that Jim had sniffers and cherry blossom trees and well I want some of those myself cherry blossom trees well we’ll just have to find the biome that’s located on top of mountains and in a Meadows but for the sniffer egg that one’s actually in

Something called suspicious sand such a sand can be found in desert Wells pyramids cold and warm ocean villains and the new Trail ruins in the newest update and in order to get the egg from the suspicious sand you need to brush it away like in archeology which I think is

Really cool and that then introduces the brand new brush hold on I could have sworn it was this recipe it was in fact not that recipe and instead a fella copper Ingot and a stick and would you look at that this brand new brush think of brush on the cleaning lady Go quite

Well together so with all of that now newly freshened our minds and a beautiful crown on top of our heads I would say it is time for us to go for a little bit of a journey want to go find some new stuff and more importantly find

That sniffer I’m not too sure exactly which direction I should be heading in for some new chunks and items and generative things but uh we’ll just choose a direction and go for it how’s about this way that’ll do there we go oh that was so much quicker than I thought

It would be I ended up deciding to take the portal over to bees please because I know his place was super far away and probably going to have some new channel s there we go and would you look at that we have found a cherry blossom biome now

It’s not very big and it looks like someone’s probably already been here but that’s beautiful look at the petals falling from the trees we have these flowers on the ground which you can pick up and by the way you can place them in all kinds of different orientations you

See where it starts you can add a forward to it kind of like a sea pickle but you can choose which way they start so you can make really gorgeous patterns just by placing these on the ground that is awesome I need to bring some of these

Back for myself and Junior we’re going to get ourselves some cherry blossom saplings oh that’s a really satisfying crunch of the axle in this wood I love the new sound design that they are adding in these brand new updates it just kind of sets everything apart instead of you

Know all the wood having the same sounds when you chop it down and everything like that oh beautiful absolutely beautiful One cherry tree a fortune three hoe and 26 beautiful cherry saplings later it’s time for us to continue our journey to see if we can now find the suspicious sand and no it is not that sand behind me ideally we’re probably going to be looking for some underwater ruins I

Think in the location there we are it’s probably going to be the easiest to find especially with a vast ocean right in front of us my golly goo we have an ocean Monument not that we need that though oh dear and remember it can also

Sniffer egg alas if we want to breed them I need another one we’ll be getting lucky times two in the warm ocean ruins oh no that’s an emerald of course it wasn’t gonna happen straight away but you also may ask pill Jim literally has some sniffers you could have just read

But I’m like you know what I want to work for it I want to work for my little sniffer boys I’m gonna explore and I’m gonna have fun doing it so that’s why I’m out here doing this kind of thing quite enjoyable quite relaxing too if

I’ll be honest now from what I’ve heard as well kind of a bit on the Grapevine is that sniffer eggs have a greater chance of being looted from warm biome places and considering the facts that I have been to about 9 or 10 different ocean ruins and this is the only one

That was warm and the only one that had the sniffer egg well I mean that black seems to stand pretty true so far don’t know if it is true but hey I guess if you’re looking for any sniffer eggs maybe that’s something to consider oh wait that is another one I have not

Even changed the ruins yet it’s the same one I found the original egg in I can now officially get to hatch 2 and then breathe them oh I am very happy is that another one I was just yeah I wanted to finish checking the entire thing just in

Case and you know what I’m glad I did because that is a third one from the same set of ocean ruins okay well if that whole warm ocean greater chance of leading thing isn’t true that’s hugely coincidental something tells me you should probably listen to that fact now

My wow you know I was gonna say maybe we should go home because you know we’ve got our eggs now but I think behind me I see another ocean ruin should we check it out I think we should without a doubt another one would you look at that again the warm ocean ruin

Strikes again oh absolutely brilliant unfortunately it looks like there wasn’t as much suspicious sand in this one though so that’s kind of all we got from that one but I am very happy either way I reckon now that we have our cherry wood and our sniffer eggs and even the

Pottery shirts it’s time for us to go home home sweet home we are back oh my golly goo but you know what now it’s time to get these sniffers hatched in order for us to hatch a sniffer all we have to do is put it down on the Block

But I’ve been doing a little bit of reading and if you want to speed up the time for the sniffer to hatch then you put it down on block look at those shiny Sparkles oh gonna place a few down at the base and hopefully one hatches

Sometime soon I at least want to see one of these little guys today oh look at them they’re so huge oh my gosh and I have the fourth one all the way down over there now it’s time to just stare at them until they hatch which is gonna

Take an unknown amount of time time to wait I guess I have cracking noises oh okay what about the one over there is this one cracking oh this one’s cracking as well oh I’m excited oh there’s the other one there goes the other one okay I’m gonna

Be standing here for a few minutes so this is looking good there’s another crack I didn’t realize I think I threw another stage of cracking that is fine too oh the one in the back hatched oh I’ll admit I kind of put that one down first and I was gonna explain to

You guys about the hatching thing after and that’s why that one’s nice and quick oh my gosh wait these ones shouldn’t be too long after I want to see the hatching process come on Hatch from the egg I know you wanna do come on get out of the egg
