Hermitcraft IX 1107 Creating My Own iBuy Store!

So recently here on hermitcraft we’ve been getting stuck in with some Redstone engineering we have created this marvelous AFK cow cooker that takes advantage of a cauldron with lava inside and in The Following episode we went deep on the mechanics of creating an industrial chicken farm and it turned

Out to be a great success but today my friends I have a treat for you for I have been on an adventure through the caves of the hermitcraft world looking for cobwebs of all things this next Redstone Contraption is gonna take advantage of cobwebs in a big way

Earlier in this season they called me Exuma but I think this was some sort of foreshadowing for what you’re about to see behind me a combo chicken farm unlike anything else I mean it collects eggs and it Cooks all of those chickens I hope you are paying attention to what

Was over my shoulder then yes we have an insane amount of chickens continuously falling down the these cobwebs and at the very bottom they get cooked yes after we built last episode’s monstrosity of a farm cybot showed me this concept using cobwebs for the baby chickens to Traverse downwards if I

Remember correctly there’s 64 of them in total and by the time they make it down to the bottom they then grow into adults and this descent downwards bypasses The Entity cramming and then that Oak log that cooks the chickens after they’ve just grown into an adult of course the

Oak log has been set on fire which is a little more reliable than using lava which can destroy the items instead the items will drop on top of this half slab away from the fire itself which can also destroy items so this Minecart here has been slightly nudged into that honey

Block which means that its hitbox actually sits over both of these Hoppers and so here we have your classic impulse item filter and if I just look in there you can see how it’s set up with the feathers and on the other side the cooked chicken and they get loaded into

Shulker boxes it all seems so simple right but up the top here there’s even more Redstone engineering and also it gets a bit hairy around here you can see my frame rate dropping the noise increasing as we have a lot of chickens laying eggs so we have those Vines to

Stop entity cramming a whole bunch of adult chickens Minecart hoppers down below to pick up the eggs and then they make their way down into the dispensers that hatch the baby chickens into the cobwebs those dispensers are activated by this clock here and when I hit the

Switch in the middle we swap over to egg farming mode so a moment ago this Redstone here was powering the target block because we’ve retracted this redstone block that’s no longer happening meaning that the eggs that get laid get pulled off to the side and

Point into a shulker box and that is our shulker box loader so we may not had a use for all these feathers and cooked meat but surely there’s something we can do with shulker boxes upon shulker boxes of eggs oh yes I am feeling mischievous

That is for sure there is a little more to say about this Farm you can actually ramp up the production way more there’s about four times the amount of chickens here in the test world and as you can see it’s really hitting the frames the maximum amount of chickens though will

Be throttled by the transfer rate of eggs through these item Hoppers and when it’s running at Max Capacity it will be able to have all the baby chickens come through the cobwebs without any entity cramming at that point the output gets rather insane and you’d need a stronger

System than the one that I built here to pick up all of those items which you can increase by using a fox with a sword so what you haven’t seen is that I undertook my own little Adventure here on the server with the fox trying to get

It into the farm I learned something interesting along the ways that they prefer feathers to swords so what you have to do is give them a piece of meat which they’ll eventually eat take away the feather and then you can give them your sword when which has fire respect

On to cook the chicken and it has luting free to get more drops so I was actually able to get the fox into the farm without pretty much any hassle whatsoever he was holding the sword and everything was good to go but then it failed in an unexpected way the fox

Actually ended up ditching The Sword and I couldn’t quite figure out why now this wasn’t because the sword broke as I’d use a wooden one in the testing environment as a wooden sword has a much lower durability than a netherite sword does but eventually I think I learned

What the issue was despite not discovering this issue in my original testing I think I’ve sussed out what’s going on here it’s when the chicken dies higher up that the fox can grab the item before the minecart Hopper below does so there could indeed be a way to take

Advantage of getting looting out of this Farm too this however would require much more bandwidth for sorting items than this little setup and I have one more amazing thing to show you you can actually run this Farm without the glass around the cobwebs which makes it look

Even cooler but there is a reason you may not want to do this let’s go ahead and nudge a chicken or try again oh here it goes no well it seems I am unable to recreate our original disaster just with one simple nudge all of the chickens going up came flying out the

Sides it was a beautiful sight but unfortunately I wasn’t recording at the time and I’ve been unable to recreate it no matter how much I try so yeah to be on the safe side we would have glass going all the way up so my friends that is enough chicken Madness for one

Episode and you might be wondering why I’m in the end Dimension it’s actually so we can go to the Overworld you have probably seen this message A bunch of times before in Minecraft but it gave me an idea that needed testing involving the respawn anchor what’s going on man I

Put my bed down oh my God I was about to put it down I don’t even want to put it down and like accidentally right click no no no yeah yeah definitely not definitely not I I just need to now see if like using the bed to set your spawn

If it will roll back to using your respawn anchor because it’s it’s in a different dimension yeah I want to say it doesn’t because I think it just keeps the most recent one like it doesn’t keep the last two things you click yeah right you want to put a

Diamond on that I’ll put it I’ll put a diamond on that oh all right uh so if I go to the end I might come back here but more likely I’ll be at spawn so I’ll just come and find you at the TCG tunnel again yeah

You enjoyed that as Cub fans said it’s a pretty good premise for a mini game maybe something that will elaborate on but while you were watching that I were gathering some resources for a build over at I buy I’ve got a few shulker boxes here full of materials but I need

To pick up some more we need sculpt blocks and of course we get plenty from our very noisy Guardian sculpt combo farm and guardian drops actually some of the things we’re going to be selling over at I buy but for now I’m gonna fill up a box full of skull because we need

Plenty of it for our shop and I can remark on my experience over here farming this stuff up made a sort of interesting Discovery you see these two netherite hoes well I use these over here by going AFK and sitting in the mine cart just holding down click one of

The cool things I can do here is actually detach my camera so you can see this thing in operation and it kind of looks like it could run a little bit faster overall we need to get more Guardians out of the farm down below and

We may just have a way to do that but first the durability on these hoes they go down so quick it only takes 20 minutes of sitting in front of this thing and then you need to stop using it before it breaks and that’s considering I think this thing could run even faster

Oh yes and I actually made myself like two extra hoes here so one of those I decided to make a fortune pick and although that has no real effect here what I can do is use this as an XP farm and as you’ll see I can then repair my

Avajo and this one doesn’t really take any damage because of The Mending now the way in which we might be able to increase the output of this Farm is by putting a roof on top of this spawning area down here so there is a line in the game’s code that makes Guardians more

Likely to spawn when there is a block above them this is so that more of them spawn inside the guardian Monument than outside of it I don’t know if that’s going to take effect if the block is above the area of the bounding box for the OSHA Monument but we’re going to go

Ahead put a roof on this thing and give it a try so one Sandstone roof later and this thing feels maybe a little bit faster but maybe I’m imagining things I don’t know it feels like those blocks at the front there were the slowest and they’re getting replaced and removed a

Lot quicker the best way for me to test would actually be to run through one of these picks again and if it takes less than 20 minutes before it gets close to Breaking then we’ve got an idea of if it’s improved or not anyways that’s something for another time we have a

Shop to build so we’re gonna head back over to I buy so earlier in the episode you already got to see the layout and it’s coming together now with some new materials the glass really stuck with me I couldn’t get rid of it and so I decided to put some sculpt blocks

Underneath this and it ended up going in a sort of dark and Moody Direction and now you are really a able to see that the room is mostly finished there is some big Open Spaces where our modules are going to go and because that Redstone is just going to take me a long

Time to put together I felt like this was a good spot to kind of bring you back in I really like the black concrete up the top here very dark and ominous and we’re using some trapdoors as well over on this side there’s actually some subtle hidden lighting those are crying

Obsidian which emit a small amount of light and I’ve placed those just to stop things spawning up on this ledge so the whole room is actually spawn proof there’s the crying obsidian lighting behind the paintings and then behind the modules on this side where the glowstone

Is so the atmosphere in the middle is kind of dark and Moody but you’ll be able to see everything you need to and here it is my friends look at this place absolutely snazzy I really like it I mean we’ve got to get rid of these

Shulker boxes and we’ve got to put other ones in place right they’re also going to be a bit color coordinated you might notice there’s some of that going on with the interfaces but one of the big things that we’re missing here is we don’t actually know what’s for sale yet

Of course we’ve got to write things on these signs and I love the Luminosity of being able to color these and use the glow ink but it does sort of pop out a little bit too much as you can see anyways what about the master plan here we’ve got some basic welcome

Instructions for the three different types of sale that we’re making then over here at your selection there’s a lectern this is a bit of an afterthought so it’s kind of like up here but it explains how to pay and what’s for sale and with this one you put your payment

Lying around these are all just materials they need to process and get inside of the system as we had a bunch of barrels lying around here and now that that’s been cleaned up you really get a feel for this room and I’m loving this project so much but it feels like

It’s just begun because it’s going to take a lot of effort to actually stock everything up and while I was doing that I I found some Redstone yeah shulkerbox is a redstone which I actually ran out of getting all the Redstone together to make this project

Come to life so I think my intention was to sell this somewhere and with all the items I just lost track of it I think I’m actually going to hold on to my Redstone for now so we are practically ready for business and I’m just going to

Wrap this up so I can have my video rendering while I’m sorting out all of that stock so by the time the next episode starts I hope I can be reporting on some sales at the shop if we can get some Hermits over here and it is a busy
