How magic in Minecraft works (a theory on the working of enchantments).

Hello newcomers and troopers this is wally the trooper one and only back with another video and once again i am regarding minecraft of course this is a a game like it with so many mysteries and so many things left unexplained has tons of theories already cycling around on the internet

About the game but well i’m here with the to get onto the trend i guess to introduce another one of my own uh but before you start delving in first things first is that by imperial order you have to like the video or else an imperial squadron will

Don’t want to be responsible for any key broken keyboards anyways on to business the ma today i am regarding the minecraft enchantment table or at least to give a better depth into how i believe magic works in minecraft now magic isn’t always as people think it is

Oh it’s just a mystical force that has no bounds no changes no nothing you can do whatever you want with it well that’s not exactly the case in basically every single it and basically every single franchise magic seems to have its limitations its rules and as such has to fit into some realm

Of science or how energy actually works if magic were actually real it wouldn’t be so in our own world it wouldn’t be so much called magic but just another realm within another aspect of science and science stands for and by definition means the study of the world around us

To have better understanding of it so if it were real then yeah it would be within the realms of science quote unquote but speaking of the real of real life that’s where i’ve actually done most of my research on to this theory you see the way i’m tackling my whole

On how magic works in minecraft is i’m discussing things such as enchantments and how you go into the nether another dimension and so on now the thing i believe that it has to do with a couple components number one i’ll start with is obsidian now obsidian itself isn’t exactly magical obsidian

Is rather just a conductor what i would say of magical like energy think of it about it as i put it this way in order to say oh create the nether portal of course one of the number one uses of obsidian you need to surround it and then light

It with flint and steel i believe the way this works is this the obsidian acts as a conductor of magic when you circle it around it almost sort of punches a hole already and then when you light it with fire fire itself is already kind of mystical in literally just about every franchise

That involves magic people use things like fireballs fire whatever missiles magic missiles of fire you name it but fire has been everywhere across minecraft and has some one attachment to magic one way or another another when it comes to the blazes of the nether they use sort of magic to launch essences

Of themselves of or fire at you in order to protect themselves or their surroundings and others then when it comes to lava which i’ll get to in a little bit it also has magical properties such as how it becomes obsidian it’s almost as if obsidian the lava which is a form of fire

Which is then cooled into obsidian as if a harnessed force of magic and then conducted again by more fire with the flint and steel only it’s used in a certain way now why doesn’t it just punch a hole through the nether automatically if you’re asking

As you might be asking why is it that when you fall into lava you die and lose all of your hard-earned uh progress and xp instead of getting performed through the nether well think of it this way i don’t think many of us including me has kept have kept up all

Too well with our biology but dna yes i’m tr starting to get a bit boring here but that’s what the game play of minecraft suited for the topic that i’m discussing is in the background components of multiple molecules and molecules are just atoms atoms are just are just electrons protons and neutrons

And so on and those are condensed energy that energy is condensed into those electrons neutrons and so on which become atoms which then come together the four molecules which then can be turned into dna now you can’t do it just outright the pure energy of those protons neutrons and the like

Electrons can’t just automatically be turned into dna it has to go through a sort of process and dna itself is a map dna has to be lined out in a certain way into in order to conduct a certain code i quote or mission again i quote you know in a certain way

Dna is organized in a certain way to conduct a certain task within us an organism it has to be arranged specifically in a certain way just like letters just because you can pick up a pencil doesn’t mean you can write you have to have the knowledge to it and

Arrange them in certain words in order to communicate them once again now i’m finally coming back to minecraft which we’re talking about it can’t just be that pure raw energy of this magic or whatnot in order to create the nether it has to be sorted conducted into a certain way in

Order to do what you want or what it does to do that this obsidian the way it acts is is lava which is as i’ve said fiery and sort of magical and you can and then it’s turned or transformed into a certain way which then acts as a conductor

For magic don’t believe me now let’s go to enchantment tables enchantment tables are need of course that obsidian which conducts that same match same sort of magical energy it’s not exactly the same and i’ll go into xp and what i think it actually is lit

Later on in just a second but once again but i’m just trying to tackle these things one thing at a time one object that time i mean obsidian acts as a conductor which is used in multiple things in order to conduct and flow the magic in a certain way

Now let’s talk about xp xp can be found in all sorts of places across minecraft you can get it from killing mobs you can get it from harvesting ores you could get from so on at first when i thought about xp i thought it was just

Maybe at first when i was thinking about this video it’s life essence like when you kill something when you breed an animal when you uh just harvest some meat as a of a furnace you get xp so i thought oh maybe xp is a life sort of energy that you’re able to

Absorb and then transfer into enchantments but you can also get from mining and from just cooking ores and so on so after further thinking i thought what if this xp is actually everywhere or this life sort of energy is actually everywhere it’s just there’s more of it in certain places

Kind of like this what do you get more nutrition out of a full-on pizza or from say a leak of course the pizza probably not as healthy but still it has more carbs it has more of that nutrients in it and you get more out of the pizza than

You would probably from a sing simple leak so uh even though you’re getting a little bit of that nutrition from that leak you aren’t getting as much as you would from say the pizza same thing with these other things you don’t get as much xp when you mine a single thing of coal

If you’re mining tons of it then of course you just got farm flowing there of xp but you do uh but you do once you say kill the ender dragon which is honestly a huge organism which hap obviously has to have that much xp in it because it’s using straight up magic

Again or just acid stomach to spray at you it has to have all that energy inside of it and that’s why when you kill it you get so much xp that and serving as an awesome boss fight with a cool reward anyway now think of it also like this

This xp is mined everywhere steve the player you go as is able to absorb this essence or energy and then is able to transfer it into enchantments but once again how is this held in by the obsidian you’re transferring this life-like energy through the obsidian into enchantments kind of like a battery

Or wires transferring it through but it’s not complete quite yet you can’t just transfer raw energy into something and then expect it to work that’s like electrocuting say your computer with a tons of volts straight out from a nuclear power plant and expecting your computer to be fully charged when in reality

You’ll probably just blow it up along with yourself it has to be conducted safely and in a certain way just like how we have to plug in our computers and so on it’s coincidentally like well how i’m doing right now how i’m needing to do specific

Steps in order to do these things so once again that brings me to another sort of energy conductor lapis lazuli needed for enchantments lapis lazuli of course you mine it underground and then you put it use it in enchantments and of course if you can tell when you enchant something on the

Enchantment table it glows blue right well you that’s because you’re probably just rubbing that lapis lazuli all over your tool or weapon or armor or whatnot and then you’re conducting that energy that life-like energy that’s basically all within the world of minecraft and in the other worlds you can harvest

In the nether and the end as well basically it’s within or almost makes up the very uh creation of of the universe of minecraft it’s universal energy xp but it’s just used as xp and you don’t level up with it except for leveling up different levels of that

Energy and then you’re transferring it into the lapis lazuli which is on the weapon lapis lazuli acts as another conductor or absorber of that magical energy just like how we zap electricity into batteries in order to store them to conduct into uh remote control uh toy cars and so on

We can’t just zap it right into the car we ha because it won’t stay there and it won’t do it in a certain posit in a very good way at all you’re lucky you’d be lucky if it worked at all doing it that way it’s safer or you only can’t do it

Through those steps and then there’s things like how can you do it well the lapis lazuli how it does it is it holds that magical energy in it in order to come up with this theory i’ve done tons of things of research looking across both minecraft and the real world

And upon some update looking into and some awesome wikipedia help i found out this lapis lazuli has been basically used since the dawn of civil’s our own real world civilization people dragged it to stonehenge believing that would probably heal them or stuff they dragged straight up boulders of it there

Peop in mesopotamia yeah that annoying place you heard of in school the so-called cradle of civilization those people that lived there loved lapis lazuli because they turned it into jewelry charms and so on and then in egypt as well they also traded with the mesopotamians in order

To achieve more lapis lazuli and do the same thing that they did with it and create more jewelry and totems and so on people back then thought that lapis lazuli since it was a pretty stone was also magical and could hold in charms and holding good luck

As if it’s holding in energy which then the devs of minecraft came up with using lapis lazuli which in ancient times our ancestors thought was actually magical thought hey what if we make it in our game it actually is magical but it holds in real energy real magical energy that

Transfers into this stuff so we got the conductor the obsidian in order to put into the tool uh the energy we have the lapis lazuli acting as the battery spread across the weapon tool etc in order to hold all that energy in there and depending on how powerful the

Enchantment is supposed to be it’s held in there now there’s just one more problem that’s not going to do the entire thing you got this awesome powerful thing but you don’t tell it what to do it’s like having a super cool computer with

Tons of ram but all it can do is turn on and off what does it take for a computer to do what does program it i’m not much of a programmer but i’ll come around to that uh how to explain how i’m explaining this whole programming thing that i’m referencing to for this

Magical energy but the the thing is is that what do you do also with an enchantment table in order to make it you got the obsidian you got some diamonds which probably once again act as another conductor of uh this magical force i haven’t gotten that much to reinforce it but

Diamonds are just basically awesome to enchant with because every enchantment you put on diamonds they conduct really well diamonds once again i’m just going to go over them briefly not go in depth as much of them as i have with the obsidian lapis lazuli they’re just another cool conductor

Of this magical energy xp also known as and uh but what it also takes is a book now once again coming back to that computer theory you need to put in programs into a computer and the computer carries out those programs in order to transfer that energy onto the tool weapon or whatever

To do what you want you have to put in commands or programs i quote once again or enchantments on the book using that old ancient alphabet of master build that uh steve is using on the enchantment table in order to carry out a specific task with that energy after it’s been conducted

Onto the tool which the lapis lazuli is holding in and you use the books and the enchantments to put specific spells or once again i quote programs i’m not much of a programmer but i’m just using this as a reference people know i’m not a programmer oh boy

Not exactly my strong suit there but anyway apparently quote figuring out how my one of my favorite video games lore is great anyways coming back to it for you guys they you put in those commands those spells or once again quote-unquote come programs into the tool weapons so on

To tell it what to do with the energy you just infused into it and then it carries out what it was meant to do and you can re save some of that energy on a grindstone after you use a weapon or maybe if you’re stupid you just go straight to it

After you enchant something you can take out some of that xp and just leave the tool useless there it’s the lapis lazuli you basically wipe it off and you just absorb the energy or xp again as i said as it’s called back into yourself but you only get a slight bit of it

Just like a used battery can’t ex be used again to have the same hold the same amount of electricity you already lost some of it and that’s why and henceforth why you should recycle your enchantments on a grindstone every time you think a tool is about to get destroyed
