How to Make a WORKING CASTLE GATE in Minecraft! (Easy)

Hey what’s up guys ewi stream here and see that castle gate behind me pretty epic isn’t it doesn’t work of course it works i mean what do you think those green and red buttons are for obviously to open and close the gate you think he gets hard no

No no you’re all wrong it’s actually really really easy and simple to build not to mention there are no mods and no commands so you can build this in your survival world for any version of minecraft it’ll work on your ipad iphone android playstation xbox pc or nintendo switch you don’t believe me

Well fair enough it’s pretty awesome so i better show you a demonstration let’s come round back here guys all you got to do is come up to our lovely medieval castle gate up to the green button to open in three two one and check that out guys it opens super quick super smooth

No problems whatsoever you can pass through and guess what you can even close and open it from the other side let’s go ahead and hit the red button and bump up down it comes to keep out those pesky mobs and of course those friends who always steal your

You all want to know how to build this thing and let me tell you it’s going to be pretty quick because this thing is easy let’s get started here’s everything you’re gonna need to build this castle gate as you guys can see no command blocks whatsoever so you’re gonna need four sticky pistons

12 pistons 28 gravel 12 spruce fences 69 stone bricks 10 redstone repeaters 24 redstone 36 white concrete three redstone torches one lime concrete a red cog crate four polished black stone buttons or really any button that you like you could just use a wood one or a stone one totally up

To you guys then 18 stone brick stairs 69 cobblestone nice 22 standard slabs three grindstones four chains a lantern and finally four red banners now as you guys saw at the start of the video we’re just building the gate portion but you can expand it as long as you like to build

An entire castle wall it’s totally up to you guys but just for the gate section the minimum amount of space you are going to need is one two three blocks wide and then you want one two three four five six blocks long like so we’re going to clear out this space and

From here you need to have it five blocks deep now we just want to go ahead and clear out the rest of the blocks here to make our five deep hole complete now while we are doing this guys if you cannot get enough minecraft tips tricks and secrets

Searching ewy stream on tick tock and instagram and giving me a follow over there or by going ahead and hitting the link in the description but we are done clearing out this space so let’s go ahead and start on this castle gate the first thing you’re gonna do come to the top

Left corner of our hole here guys and we’re gonna place down one two three four sticky pistons facing upwards above these we’re going to place one two three four more regular pistons facing upwards then grab your gravel here guys and we’re going to do one two three blocks high on each of our

Pistons here making a total of 12 gravel there then grab your spruce fences here guys and when it come across we’re gonna go one two three four i’m gonna do this three times so here’s once two times here and then finally three times and this is going to be the

Actual gate of our castle itself above this you’re going to grab your stone bricks and you place one two three four then come to the left side here and you’re going to build up one two three blocks like so and break out these two bottom blocks underneath then grab your pistons here guys

And you want to come underneath this block we’ve left and place one two pistons facing downwards so it looks just like this we’re going to do this across the entire gate here so we’re gonna place one at two facing downwards one two downwards and one two just like that

Then you can go ahead and break out this block from earlier all right so now we’ve got the actual scent the gate itself we don’t have any of the redstone or the machinery to make it work but we’ve set up the foundations next you’re going to go ahead and grab

Your redstone repeaters here guys and across the bottom layer of pistons we’re going to place one two three and four and each of them you want to place on one text we’re gonna go one two three and four then grab your redstone dust guys and we’re gonna connect

Each of these repeaters up and then going into this redstone dust we’re going to place one repeater here on no ticks then go ahead and place a block of white concrete just here now something i should mention guys is you don’t actually have to use white concrete you can use

Any block you like we’re just using it as scuff folding so you could use cobblestone dirt wood it doesn’t matter guys i’m just using white concrete as it stands out and it’s really easy to see all right once we’ve got that white concrete block here guys you’re going to place one

Above the redstone repeater like so and finally fill out all this space with white concrete covering up all of our redstone and redstone repeaters so it looks a little bit like this then grab your redstone dust guys i’m gonna place one on this red uh white concrete block

And drag this and make this come all the way down to the end of our hole then grab your redstone repeaters here guys i’m gonna place one two three four just there making sure all of these have no changes whatsoever they should all be on zero ticks

Then we’re going to need to grab our redstone that torches our lime concrete our red concrete and our buttons here guys then you want to come to the bottom right corner here where our redstone dust is and build one two blocks up with your white concrete and destroy the block

Underneath then go ahead grab your redstone torch i’m gonna place one just here and that’s going to activate all of this redstone that we’ve set up from earlier as you guys can see it’s actually going to push our gravel up as well as our fence so if that worked you’ve done it

Right so far if that didn’t happen well you might want to rewind the video and make sure that you’ve set that up right because this is the foundation stuff here guys then go ahead and grab a redstone dust we’re going to place this on top of this concrete block here

And then grab another white concrete block place it again we’ve got one two blocks up destroy that bottom block and place in a redstone torch and this should cause the gravel to fall back down leaving the fences still up there like this if that’s happened you’ve done it right so far

Then grab your redstone dust we’re gonna place this above this white concrete block and directly above this redstone block we’re gonna place one lime concrete and one red concrete like so grab your polished black stone button or wood button or stone button it doesn’t matter what button you guys use it can

Be any type i’m gonna place one two on this side and then jump around to the other and place one two more all right next grab a redstone torch again guys we’re gonna place one directly above the red concrete like so then switch back to your white concrete

Place one place one redstone torch and it should turn off like this once you’ve done that you guys we’re gonna place one block to the side of our redstone torch and bring that all the way to the end so it’s just here facing towards all of this bottom

Level of pistons then we’re going to grab our redstone dust and you’re going to put one here and place a single redstone repeater coming in like that and finally fill the rest of this in here with redstone so all of these pistons are connected to this torch then grab another white

Concrete we’re gonna place that above here and you want to bring this out one like so so it looks like this and then again guys we’re gonna place one two three four five six all the way here so it’s just level with the top level of pistons

We’re gonna place one redstone dust here bring it up and finally around here and that way this redstone dust is now gonna be activated by this torch and activate all of those pistons all right so we’ve got our redstone down pat it doesn’t quite work just yet though because we haven’t

Really built the case in the shell to make it all kind of work and make sure the redstone goes through the right block so let’s go ahead and switch over to some of our building blocks so first things first we’re going to want to cover up this redstone we don’t

Really want anyone seeing this because it’s kind of kind of ruined the awesomeness of this gate so let’s go ahead and grab our white concrete here guys and we’re just basically going to cover all of this up like so but you got to be super careful

You do not want to place any block above this redstone torch or the whole system is going to stop working but you can go ahead and place a grass block here just make sure there isn’t a block above that redstone torch or you will break this thing trust me i’ve done that

Multiple times then we’re going to grab our gravel here guys and extend out this path and we want to bring it one two blocks above our white concrete here and fill all of that in and we want that to happen on the other side as well so we’re gonna dig out one two

And do that for long filling that all in with gravel all right so now that we’ve done that let’s go ahead and start building the frame of our castle gate so first off on the left side of this button machine we’re gonna bring up our uh stone bricks like so so it comes

Up and then just in front of this guys we’re gonna place another column one two three four five blocks high so it reaches our white concrete here from now on everything we build on this is going to be five blocks high so we’re gonna come to the right of this redstone

Torch we’re gonna build one two three four five blocks high then we want to come to the other side of our button contraption we’re gonna go one two three four blocks we’re not actually gonna go five for this one just four blocks and then again with the corner here one two three four

Five come around skip the button thing and we’re gonna go one two three four five once again on this side come around to the other side of the path here guys and you’re gonna place one two three four five and then we’re going to come here

To the side of our gate and go one two three four again not five and finally here guys on this corner we’re gonna go one two three four five so it comes up and looks a little bit like this all right so now that we’ve set up

The structure or the skeleton for our build let’s start filling in a few more things so i’m gonna grab our stone brick stairs here guys and you want to place one directly above this redstone torch and directly uh above the red concrete like so and fill in this empty gap here

With some stone bricks do the exact same thing on the other side stone bricks at the bottom up the top and then stone bricks here then what we’re going to do guys is fill in the gate now right now we’ve got it open and this is where you

Want it to be when you start building in the gate because it’s going to help us get a good idea of where everything is so what you want to do is where the bottom spruce fences are here guys we’re going to place one two stone stairs facing inwards

Like so then we’re gonna go ahead and place a stone brick block above each of these and in between these guys we’re gonna place one two stone brick stairs facing upwards like that and you’re gonna fill in this gap here with stone bricks we’re gonna do the

Exact same thing on the other side here so let’s jump around we’re going to place one or two on the bottom spruce fences here guys stone bricks above them stone stairs are facing forward and then finally fill in that top with your stone bricks all right looking very nice here guys

Time to add a bit more detail so let’s go about stone brick stairs here guys and what you want to do is come to the left corner here and go one two and on the third block we’re gonna place an upside down stone brick stair we’re gonna do the exact same thing on

The right hand side here guys we’re gonna go one two and then on the third we’re gonna place a stone brick step we’re gonna do the exact same thing on the other side so let’s jump around one two place one here one two and place one there but on this side

Guys on the inside side we’re also going to place stone brick stairs on the left and right corners so it looks like that so make sure you choose which side is going to be the front of your gate because on the front we’re only gonna have two but on the back

We’re going to have four really important there guys once that’s done you want to grab your cobblestone and we’re gonna place cobblestone above each of these stone brick stairs like so here guys so place one two on this side but on the other side you’re placing one two three four

Then you want to go ahead and fill in the spaces with stone bricks we’re gonna place one two and then one two and one two and over on this side guys we’re gonna just fill in the space here one two three and four like so all right now

We’ve done that guys we’re gonna basically fill in the rest of the castle here with cobblestone so first off fill out these empty gaps that we’ve got going here so it’s level so we’re gonna one two three four just so that it’s all level and then jump around to the other side here

Guys and go one two three four now we’re gonna bring this gate up two blocks higher so you’re gonna go one two and basically bring this around the entire uh perimeter of our castle gate here that way we’re covering up all of you know this ugly kind of piston redstone

Mess we don’t particularly want anyone seeing that because it kind of ruins how awesome this thing is otherwise once you’ve got this here guys we’re going to build like little spike things that you usually see on castles here guys starting with the left corner we’re going to go one leave a space

Two leave two spaces three leave a space four leave a space five leave a space six leave a space seven leave two spaces eight leave a space one on the corner and then finally one just there making this kind of pattern then we’re gonna go ahead and just cover

This entire top bit here with stone brick slabs now it’s not actually really a requirement to cover the top of this castle gate because presumably never no one’s ever going to be this high but if there is you could always cover this up with slabs

And no one would see but as you guys can see it is already coming together this thing is looking legit but we still got a few more extra details to add before our castle gate is complete so let’s grab those last items what you want to do is grab your grindstone here guys

And on the top right corner you want to place one here hanging downwards like so and do the same thing on the left side then below the one on the right we’re going to place one on the ground just like that grab your chains here guys and you want

To go ahead and crouch or sneak and you want to place this coming down from this grindstone all the way to the bottom grindstone like that and that looks like the actual chain that you know a guardsman would use to pull up and down our gate so i think that just adds to

The element of realism i really like that detail then go ahead and crouch again on the left side we’re gonna place one chain and a lantern and that way this is gonna be uh lit up at night and finally guys just a little bit of extra detail grab your

Red banners here guys and in the center we’re gonna place one two banners just above these cobblestone like so and then on the other side we’ll do the same thing placing one two red batters of course you can use any color banner you like whatever your favorite color

Is i just thought red really suits that medieval theme and now we’re done i’m sure you guys all want to see how this thing works so check it out guys it’s pretty much functioning you come over here to the green button hit that button it’s gonna go ahead

And open it up well it was already open so that’s a little bit awkward we better close it first we hit that red button it’s going to close the fence gate like so click that it’s going to push it up and now you can go ahead

And walk through and as you guys can see it’s going to work completely fine on the other side as well hit that red button to close it hit that green button to open it it’s really smooth it’s really quick and it’s easy to build especially without commands
